Dance-Punk Icons The Rapture Announce First Headline Tour in 15 Years

0

New York dance-punk band The Rapture have announced details of their first proper headline tour in 15 years. The upcoming dates will see founding member Luke Jenner and company traversing North America and Europe throughout the fall, hitting 26 cities across two continents .

Pre-sale tickets for the tour will be available this Wednesday, July 9th at 10:00AM local time, with all remaining tickets going on sale Friday, July 11th, at 10:00AM local time. Support for the upcoming dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

Commenting on the new live dates, Jenner shared “This has been a long time coming. Years ago when I stepped away from the band I was needing time and space to piece together my life. I needed to fix my marriage, be there for my son, and ultimately work on myself. This tour marks a new chapter for me, one shaped by everything I’ve lived through and learned along the way. I’ve achieved everything I hoped to achieve through music, and now I get to use it to help anyone else who maybe needs it like I did back then.”

Mixing post-punk intensity with dance-floor energy, The Rapture captured the zeitgeist of an entire era of indie rock in the early 2000s. Formed in 1998 by Jenner (guitars, vocals), and founding drummer Vito Roccoforte, the band quickly made waves in New York City with their raw mix of punk, disco, funk, and electronic music. Their breakthrough came with the 2003 release of Echoes (DFA), which was led by the surging single “House of Jealous Lovers.” Drawing inspiration from both the grit of NYC’s punk history and the pulse of modern club culture, subsequent albums like Pieces of the People We Love (Mercury, 2006) and In the Grace of Your Love (DFA, 2011) saw The Rapture continue to transcend genre and galvanize audiences. The Rapture remains one of the most singular bands of their generation, entirely on their own terms, and their impact can still be felt today across popular music.

Metal Titans Feuerschwanz and Doro Unite for Viking Epic “Valhalla” Ahead of New Album ‘Knightclub’

0

Feuerschwanz and metal queen Doro deliver the glorious viking anthem of the year with their galvanizing new collaborative single “Valhalla”! With thunderous riffs, boisterous energy and united vocal power, the song is a triumphant march through Nordic myths and metallic battles. Arriving alongside an incendiary official music video prominently featuring both artists, “Valhalla” is cut from Feuerschwanz’s upcoming studio album, Knightclub, out August 22, 2025, via Napalm Records.

“Valhalla” is not just a musical battle cry, but an ode to courage, cohesion and the pursuit of eternal greatness. Between Viking ships and metal stages, two giants of the scene merge into an epic thunderstorm of sound!

Feuerschwanz have undergone an impressive transformation in recent years and, after 20 years as a band and two #1 albums on the official German album charts, are more successful and in demand than ever. Through their participation in the German preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, the band managed to attract an audience of millions and media attention far beyond the borders of the genre.

Feuerschwanz on “Valhalla”: “This song is not only for the ‘Brothers everywhere’, but for ALL Vikings & Valkyries out there! Together with metal legend Doro Pesch, we call on the entire metal community: Let’s stand side by side, let’s renew the oath and show the world that we all have something in common – namely the love for heavy metal! Together we are strong – we stand together side by side. Peace, love and heavy metal – Feuerschwanz.”

Doro on the collaboration: “As soon as I heard ‘Valhalla’ for the first time, I was immediately hooked and loved the idea of recording this song together. The video is also super epic and beautiful. I love it!”

With Knightclub, Feuerschwanz release their first studio album with an English title – and for the first time, several tracks feature English lyrics. Knightclub is characterized by catchy hits, absolute party mood, great anthems and hard metal riffs. Once again, the band manages to incorporate their unmistakable humor into songs bursting with energy.

The title track became a fan favorite during the Eurovision Song Contest pre-selection, firing up audiences across Germany. The album version features Dag-Alexis Kopplin of SDP on guest vocals.

Tracks like “Valhalla” and “Avalon” show a more epic, serious side of the band – with “Valhalla” featuring heavy metal legend Doro Pesch. The fantasy-inspired “The Tale of Sam The Brave” pays homage to Middle-earth, while “Name der Rose” draws from a literary classic. Previously released “Lords of Fyre” (feat. LORD OF THE LOST) sets the tone for their upcoming co-headline tour.

Produced by Simon Michael (SUBWAY TO SALLY) and mastered by Jacob Hansen (EVERGREY, Arch Enemy, Volbeat), Knightclub features artwork by Peter Sallai (POWERWOLF, Sabaton, Saxon, Hammerfall).

Spiritbox Brings “Soft Spine” to Jimmy Kimmel Stage, Announces Fall Headline Tour with Periphery

0

Spiritbox took the stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night for their late-night television debut, delivering a knockout performance of “Soft Spine”, a standout track from their acclaimed sophomore album Tsunami Sea.

Also announced today: Spiritbox will hit the road this fall for part two of their North American headline tour, produced by Live Nation, with support from Periphery and Honey Revenge.

Released March 7 via Pale Chord / Rise Records, Tsunami Sea debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums and #26 on the Billboard 200, affirming Spiritbox’s status as one of the most innovative and genre-fluid acts in modern music. Across 11 tracks, the album balances explosive power with ethereal precision, led by vocalist Courtney LaPlante’s genre-defying range and guitarist/producer Mike Stringer’s visionary craftsmanship.

The performance comes on the heels of several high-profile moments for the band. In addition to their sold-out headline tours across North America and Europe, Spiritbox were recently the main support for sold-out dates to Linkin Park, including a massive show at London’s Wembley Stadium (90,000 Capacity). In April, Courtney LaPlante also joined Megan Thee Stallion onstage during her Coachella headlining set, where they performed their collaborative song “TYG” from Megan’s MEGAN: ACT II.

With heartfelt gratitude to fans and unwavering faith, JD Shelburne fulfilled a lifelong dream of performing on the infamous circle on the Grand Ole Opry stage.

Opening with “Summertime All Year,” a sunny preview of what’s to come on his anticipated September 2025 release of his new album Raised on the Good Stuff. He wrapped the set with the heartfelt hit “Church Pew Bar Stool,” a chart-topper on CMT and viral favorite with more than 100K views. Shelburne had the crowd singing along from the first note.

The evening was filled with standout moments for JD Shelburne, who was met with an outpouring of support from fans. While the exact number is unknown, the energy in the room and the flood of social media posts mentioning his name made it clear how much his music resonated, including a social post from the Opry with his name in it! A true highlight of the night came as Shelburne had the chance to connect with country legends Steve Wariner, John Conlee, and Crystal Gayle before and after his performance. Their kindness and encouragement-telling him he belonged on that stage-made a lasting impression and added a deeply personal and meaningful touch to an already unforgettable experience.

It will be a moment that will be forever etched in my memory. I can only hope to do this more than once for the rest of my life. There are no words to describe the feeling I had stepping in that circle for the first time. Thank you, Grand Ole Opry. You’ve made my year!” he added, “On June 20th, my biggest career dream came true when the Grand Ole Opry invited me to make my debut. Years of prayer, long miles on the road, and faith that a Kentucky kid could be Opry-worthy led to this moment. Country Artist David Nail Reflects on Life on the Road with New Single “Hotel Keys” and Nationwide Tour

0

GRAMMY-nominated country artist David Nail is set to release his reflective new single “Hotel Keys” on July 11, with a nationwide “Hotel Keys Tour” launching the day before and continuing into the Fall.

Rooted in reflection and longing, “Hotel Keys” captures the emotional cost of chasing a dream-the moments we take for granted, and the toll life on the road can take. With raw vulnerability and a gripping complementary vocal from co-writer of the song, Dave Barnes, the track paints scenes from cold nights in Baltimore to coffee in Chicago. It’s a haunting meditation on memory, identity, and the quiet reckoning that comes with years spent chasing something you love.

To support the release, David will hit the road this Summer, headlining shows across the South, Midwest, and West Coast, including stops at Georgia Theatre (Athens, Ga.), Mohegan Sun (Conn.), Phil Long Music Hall (Colo.), and a return to Nashville for his debut at AmericanaFest 2025.

This new single follows a wave of creative momentum for Nail, who in recent years has embraced his independent path with acclaimed releases like Oh, Mother, Bootheel 2020/2021, and Best of Me, as well as standout 2024 singles “If I Could Call” and “Why” featuring Aubrie Sellers. Country Artist Jack Brassfield Releases New Love Song “Rocky Mountain High” Ahead of Summer Tour

0

Platinum Planet Records recording artist Jack Brassfield is turning up the dial this summer with the release of his new single, “Rocky Mountain High,” hitting country radio nationwide via CDX on July 14, 2025. Co-written with fellow songwriter Dustin Rollins, the track delivers a vibrant blend of classic country feel with a modern edge-just in time for summer playlists.

Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, Brassfield continues to make waves on the country scene. His previous single, “America (Come Together),” also released by Platinum Planet Records, drew national attention earlier this year and earned him a performance spot at the 2025 Republican Inauguration Brunch in Washington, D.C.-a milestone moment in his rising career.

Now based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Brassfield is an exclusive songwriter for LITA Music, balancing his music career with life as a business owner, husband, and father of two. His recent country cuts have been recorded and released by Braden Jamison, Gabe Choate, Legacy Lowenberg, and Jackson Ray. His songs reflect a lived-in authenticity, drawing listeners in with stories that resonate.

With “Rocky Mountain High,” Brassfield builds on his reputation for songs that celebrate freedom, roots, and real-life emotion-delivered with unmistakable heart and grit.

“I’m all about a good love song, and this one was inspired by a buddy of mine who was trying to get his girlfriend back,” Brassfield says. “It’s a classic ‘I love this girl’ song, and it just felt right to me to make it about Colorado. So many songs have been written about that beautiful state-Merle Haggard, John Denver, Joe Walsh, Tim McGraw, and so many more have made it part of their music. We’re hoping for the next big Colorado song!”
