Cracking the Playlist: 14 Songs About Eggs and Chickens For Sidewalk Egg Frying Day

Every July 4, as the sun blazes and the pavement sizzles, we celebrate one of the quirkiest unofficial holidays of the year: Sidewalk Egg Frying Day. Inspired by the age-old question—“It’s so hot, can you fry an egg on the sidewalk?”—this lighthearted holiday is a tribute to summer heat, kitchen science, and a good sense of humor. Whether or not your sidewalk reaches egg-frying temps, it’s the perfect excuse to crank up a sunny playlist and celebrate the season.

“Dirty Old Egg-Suckin’ Dog” – Johnny Cash
Leave it to the Man in Black to write a love-hate letter to a misbehaving farm dog with a taste for eggs. It’s country storytelling at its most bizarrely specific.

“Eggs and Sausage” – Tom Waits
Set in an all-night diner, this jazzy, smoky track serves up eggs, hashbrowns, and existential dread. It’s late-night comfort food for the soul.

“Egg Man” – Beastie Boys
A sample-heavy, off-the-wall classic from Paul’s Boutique, this track turns egg-throwing into a chaotic metaphor for rebellion and randomness.

“Eggs on Plate” – Iggy Pop
From the album Party, this lesser-known gem captures Iggy’s raw vocal style with surreal egg references—cracked but never boring.

“I Know a Chicken” – Laurie Berkner
Beloved by kids and exhausted parents alike, this song gets little ones dancing with egg shakers. It’s pure feathered fun.

“Counting Chickens” – Lainey Wilson
This upbeat country tune uses chicken-counting as a metaphor for waiting on something good. Backyard barnyard vibes with a hopeful heart.

“Fried or Fertilized” – Turquoise Jeep
This tongue-in-cheek track brings absurdist humor and slick beats to the egg conversation. The lyrics are as unforgettable as the hook.

“Eggshells” – Dehd
A raw, emotional indie track that uses “walking on eggshells” as a poetic image. Less yolk, more feelings.

“I Had a Silly Chicken” – Traditional
A goofy children’s song about a chicken that lays a hard-boiled egg. It’s short, sweet, and surprisingly philosophical.

“Five Little Chicks” – Super Simple Songs
Nursery rhymes meet chirpy vocals in this counting song perfect for preschoolers and tired chickens alike.

“The Chicken’s Egg Counting Game” – Super Simple Songs
Another educational toe-tapper, this one lets kids count eggs while bopping along to clucks and coos.

“Do the Funky Chicken” – Rufus Thomas
A dance floor classic that proves funk and poultry can coexist. Guaranteed to get you flapping in no time.

“Chicken Jockey” – J. Geco
Celebrating a Minecraft meme, this song is silly, spirited, and oddly catchy. Digital chickens, meet digital beats.

“Chicken Cordon Blues” – Steve Goodman
Goodman blends blues and humor in this culinary-themed track that delivers both puns and pathos.

“Chicken Under the Washtub” – Phil & Vivian Williams
A charming folk tune about—you guessed it—a chicken hiding under a washtub. It’s as delightfully niche as it sounds.

Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” Isolated Vocals Reveals Raw Power

Stripped of its instrumentation, the vocals-only version of Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” captures every ounce of fury, heartbreak, and defiance that made it a generational anthem. Originally released in 1995, the track remains a vocal masterclass nearly 30 years later.

Let’s Listen To Oasis’ Most Famous Fight

0

Before they ruled stadiums, Oasis released one of the strangest charting singles in UK history: Wibbling Rivalry. Dropping in 1995 under the name “Oas*s,” it’s not a song but a profanity-laced argument between Liam and Noel, captured by NME’s John Harris. It hit #52 on the charts—making it the highest-charting interview ever—and perfectly bottled the chaos that made the Gallaghers legendary.

A Beginner’s Guide To Oasis: 10 Songs That Will Live Forever

You’ve heard the name. You’ve heard the hype. You’ve seen the brothers fight. Now it’s time to hear the music. Whether you’re new to the Gallagher chaos or just wondering what all the fuss is about, these are the 10 Oasis songs that’ll turn a maybe into a definitely.

1. “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star”
Before they conquered the charts, Oasis kicked open the doors with this stadium-sized mission statement. It’s Liam Gallagher at his cockiest and most convincing — and it’s impossible not to believe him.

2. “Wonderwall”
Yes, you’ve heard it a million times. Yes, it’s that song at every party. But there’s a reason. Timeless melody, aching lyrics, and a sing-along chorus for the ages. Oasis in a nutshell.

3. “Supersonic”
Noel’s guitar tone, Liam’s swagger, lyrics about gin and tonic — “Supersonic” is pure Oasis attitude. It’s rough, loud, and cool without trying. The perfect entry point into the band’s early chaos.

4. “Don’t Look Back in Anger”
One of the few Oasis anthems sung by Noel, and it hits with all the emotional power of a closing-time pub chorus. It’s a song about letting go — even if the band never really did.

5. “Live Forever”
This is the sound of defiance wrapped in melody. At a time when grunge was saying life sucked, Oasis were screaming that it mattered. The optimism here is powerful and addictive.

6. “Acquiesce”
Liam takes the verses, Noel belts the chorus — and together, they remind us that even when they hated each other, the music brought them together. A cult classic that belongs in the spotlight.

7. “Champagne Supernova”
A seven-minute epic that doesn’t make sense and doesn’t need to. This is dream logic, psychedelic beauty, and ’90s Britpop excess all swirling into one glorious slow-burn.

8. “Cigarettes & Alcohol”
It’s glam, it’s gritty, and it’s the working-class anthem for every kid who thought music might be their way out. The riff is stolen (hello, T. Rex), but the swagger is all Oasis.

9. “Slide Away”
Possibly their most underrated love song, buried on Definitely Maybe. It’s raw, aching, and loud — the kind of emotional honesty you only get when the amps are turned up to 11.

10. “Morning Glory”
Feedback, helicopters, and the sound of a band riding the biggest wave of their lives. It’s chaos, it’s energy, and it’s a reminder that when Oasis were good, they were untouchable.

Top Work Tools for the Independent Voiceover Artists to Work Globally

0

By Mitch Rice

From voiceovers, vocals, podcasts, and audiobooks, voiceover artists have a lot going on for them. Earlier, this profession was looked upon as a side-hustle alongside a primary work, like marketing, sales, or business development. Today, being a voiceover artist can earn you enough to make a good living.

Browse social media, and you’ll come across numerous job postings in this niche. No longer do you need to go to a studio to get the job done physically. You can work independently as well. You just need to have the right work tools with you to get going. Know what they are as you keep reading this article.

  • An Impressive Portfolio

Whether you are a few years into voiceovers or are starting, your portfolio should be on point. Move beyond the generic MS Word resume format. Instead, leverage tools like Canva and choose a template that resonates with the look and feel you wish to create. Ideally, don’t stretch your resume beyond one page.

Mention the enterprising projects you were a part of and highlight the crucial ones for impact. Add YouTube links for your work using a URL shortener.

  • An Acoustic Booth

Whether you work single-handedly as a voiceover artist or have a few juniors to assist you, the soundproof pod is an essential tool. As you grow in your career and bag global projects, the need for variation and dexterity increases. This tool can help you immensely.

Simply put, it’s a compact structure designed to improve sound quality and minimize noise. It controls the acoustics within a limited space. Typically, the booth has a frame, walls, panels, flooring, doors, and a ceiling. Leading service providers today offer a frame made of aerospace-grade aluminum and tempered panels.

Additionally, in most cases, this acoustic booth is constructed with a 38-mm-thick aluminum honeycomb panel that has double layers. The surface plate is layered with high-density sound-damping insulation felt that caters to the pre-requisites of sound insulation.

Take your time to browse what various brands have to offer and select depending on your space and budget capacity.

  • The Right Software Bundle

Voiceover artists need the correct software for editing and fine-tuning. You can count on a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) such as Reaper, Adobe Audition, and Audacity for editing your recordings and enhancing them. Do you want crystal clear audio, editing plugins, and noise reduction? If so, you can count on iZotope RX, which can eliminate background noise and any imperfections.

Don’t miss out on file conversion tools that are required for sending recordings in multiple formats. When you are consistent in sending high-quality vocals and recordings, you will have leading brands associating with you professionally.

  • Enrolling for Workshops

You are never too late to learn about voice modulations and breath control to deliver the perfect recording. As a voiceover artist, your job is also to know where the industry is headed. You should also be open to upskill whenever required. Hence, keep an eye on informative workshops that teach you how to enhance your skills and acquire lucrative projects.

Finally, making a career in voiceover and recording looks attractive, but it requires serious work. Once you get your skills in place and have the correct work tools, you are good to go.

Summing it Up

Working on global projects independently and earning a high income is what every voiceover artist desires. It’s necessary to start right and stay consistent. Tools like an acoustic booth, a correct software bundle, and workshops from industry experts can pave the path to success.

How Data Has Improved the Online Bingo Experience

0

By Mitch Rice

The rise of online bingo has transformed how players enjoy one of the UK’s most beloved games—and much of that transformation is driven by data. Behind every smooth user interface, tailored promotion, and seamless gameplay session is a data strategy designed to enhance the player experience. From personalisation to security, data is quietly powering a smarter, safer, and more enjoyable way to play.

Here’s how data is shaping the future of online bingo, one insight at a time.

1. Personalised Gaming Experiences

One of the most noticeable changes data has brought to online bingo is personalisation. Platforms now use data from player behaviour—such as game preferences, session times, and spending patterns—to tailor the experience. This might mean recommending certain bingo rooms, highlighting favourite game types, or sending personalised promotions that align with a player’s interests.

Instead of offering a one-size-fits-all experience, online bingo sites can now curate each player’s journey, keeping the experience relevant and engaging.

2. Smarter Bonuses and Promotions

Data analytics also helps operators fine-tune their promotions. By identifying what types of offers resonate most with different player groups, bingo sites can deliver bonuses that feel genuinely rewarding. For example, a casual player might receive free entry to low-stakes rooms, while a frequent player might get cashback offers or exclusive invites to jackpot games.

This data-driven approach ensures that promotions are not only more appealing but also more responsible, reducing blanket offers and focusing on player value.

3. Improved Game Variety and Design

Understanding which game types are most popular—and why—has helped developers refine and expand their offerings. Through analytics, they can see which formats players stick with, which themed rooms get repeat visits, and how long typical sessions last. This insight informs the creation of new online bingo games, ensuring they align with real-world player preferences.

It’s also led to innovations like hybrid games, themed rooms, and fast-paced bingo formats designed for mobile users.

4. Enhanced Player Safety and Responsible Gaming

Data isn’t just about boosting engagement—it’s also central to player protection. Modern online bingo platforms use data monitoring tools to identify patterns that may indicate problematic play. For example, sudden increases in deposit frequency or extended play sessions can trigger alerts, prompting the platform to offer self-exclusion tools or customer support options.

This proactive use of data helps bingo operators comply with UKGC regulations and ensures a safer, more sustainable environment for players.

If you’re comparing where to play, this overview of UK-licensed bingo sites brings together platform features, community tools, and safer-gambling controls in one place.

5. Smoother User Experience

Everything from game loading times to navigation paths is analysed to improve the technical performance of online bingo sites. If data shows that players are dropping out of a certain game or struggling to complete a deposit, developers can step in to optimise the process. The result is a cleaner, faster, and more user-friendly experience that reduces frustration and boosts enjoyment.

6. Community Building and Chat Moderation

Even the social side of bingo benefits from data. Chat rooms remain a big part of the online bingo culture, and platforms can use data to understand peak activity times, popular topics, and engagement levels. This helps them moderate rooms more effectively, schedule live hosts during high-traffic periods, and even run chat games that players are more likely to enjoy.

Conclusion

Data has quietly but powerfully revolutionised online bingo. From the games you see to the offers you receive and the support tools available at your fingertips, data is shaping a more tailored, efficient, and responsible way to play. As platforms continue to refine their use of analytics, players can look forward to an even more personalised and enjoyable experience every time they log on.

0

What happens when you take one of the dirtiest garage rock riffs of the 2000s and blast it through a wall of brass? You get Brass Against’s blistering cover of “Icky Thump,” where Liza Colby channels Jack White with venom and verve. It’s bold, brassy, and bloody brilliant.

Alongside the tour announcement, Mabel has also shared a brand-new track ‘Love Me Gentle’, produced by Arthur Bean, who produced previous single ‘Benz’. With additional production from Mabel herself, the upbeat and vulnerable track once again showcases a more raw, introspective side of Mabel as she opens up about the complexities of relationships and needing to be met with greater care, tenderness, and understanding.

Speaking about Love Me Gentle, Mabel said: “Love Me Gentle was the first track written for my mixtape. It’s about in general how I wish people would think before judging someone and this song is my plea to be more gentle when it comes to how we treat each other.”

The track is the third to be lifted from Mabel’s upcoming self-titled mixtape, following ‘Benz’ ft. Clavish and ‘January 19’. The project marks a bold reintroduction to the BRIT award-winning artist, offering a raw and unfiltered statement of who Mabel is today. Recorded over the past few months, largely at her home studio, the 9-track mixtape features a number of close collaborators, including a verse from Clavish and production by Oscar Scheller (PinkPantheress, Shygirl), Arthur Bean (Central Cee) and more. Blending multiple genres and reconnecting with her acclaimed earlier sound, the project captures the full spectrum of Mabel’s artistry and identity.

Speaking about the mixtape, Mabel said: “The tape is all new music made in the last few months with some of my nearest and dearest. It’s really important to me with this project that people know that this is where I’m at now and I wanted it to come out without too much overthinking. It’s a blend of all the genres and cultures that make me who I am and I would say it’s beautiful organised chaos. It doesn’t have to make sense to everyone and I think it’s the first time in a long time I’ve been this unfiltered. There’s both a simplicity and a depth to the music that I love, in a way I just wrote it without too much thought but afterwards I realised it’s kind of a toxic love letter to my 10 years in the industry.”

Mabel’s self-titled mixtape marks her first project since 2022’s studio album ‘About Last Night…’ and follows a string of critically acclaimed singles over the last year including, ‘All Over You’ft. King Promise, ‘Vitamins’Stupid Dumb ft. Ty Dolla Sign and ‘Chat’.

DJ Snake and J Balvin Drop ‘90s-Inspired Global Anthem “Noventa”

0

Global music icons DJ Snake and J Balvin join forces once again to release “Noventa,” an exhilarating summer single that effortlessly fuses cultures, genres, and undeniable star power. Following their first international smash hit “Loco Contigo” in 2019, the duo reunites with the same explosive creative energy. The track is one of the marquee collaborations featured on DJ Snake’s highly anticipated new album ‘Nomad,’ slated for release later this year.

“Noventa” – which means ninety in Spanish – is a deliberate nod to the nostalgic energy and colorful chaos of the 1990s, a decade that heavily influences both the track’s sound and its visual identity. Blending DJ Snake’s high-energy global production with J Balvin’s signature reggaeton cool, the track pulses with a contagious rhythm, a hard-hitting beat, and Balvin’s smooth, commanding delivery – making it the ultimate soundtrack for Summer 2025.

Visually, the single’s artwork features a throwback logo inspired by the iconic look of old-school MTV, capturing the raw, playful spirit of the era. That same influence extends into the music video, which was shot on the streets of New York City and fully embraces a ‘90s aesthetic – from lo-fi VHS-style footage to street dance cyphers and vibrant urban visuals. Directed with gritty flair and nostalgic detail, the video offers a dynamic tribute to the decade that shaped modern pop culture, while celebrating the creative chemistry between DJ Snake and J Balvin.

A powerful crossover moment for global music, “Noventa” is a cultural flashback with a modern twist, bringing the energy of the ‘90s into today’s global music scene. This new release expands DJ Snake’s influence spanning various genres and countries, creating music that resonates across continents. For J Balvin, “Noventa” continues his legacy of bold, genre-crossing collaborations that elevate reggaeton on the world stage.

With ‘Nomad’ on the horizon, “Noventa” sets the tone for what’s to come: bold, genre-defying music made for movement — on the dancefloor, in the streets, and across borders.

Over the last decade, DJ Snake has achieved the kind of rarefied and wildly transformative success that few artists ever come close to attaining. Originally from a housing project on the outskirts of Paris, the multi-platinum-selling DJ/producer has shattered industry records with smash hits such as “Taki Taki,” earned diamond certification from the RIAA for “Lean On” (with Major Lazer), delivered era-defining bangers like “Turn Down for What” (with Lil Jon), and made history as the first artist to perform atop the roof of the Arc de Triomphe. Along with repeatedly turning out tracks that top the charts around the world—including four songs that have surpassed a staggering billion streams on Spotify—the multi-award-winning phenom brings his boundary-pushing ingenuity to music that builds unexpected and undeniably powerful bridges between vastly different cultures and genres.

J Balvin is a highly decorated global superstar and entrepreneur with wins across Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, Latin GRAMMY’s and many others. Originally hailing from Medellín, Colombia, the illustrious reggaeton superstar is one of the best-selling Latin music artists with sales of more than 35 million records worldwide. He has steadfastly broken cultural barriers and become one of the Top 10 most globally streamed artists, developing legions of fans worldwide. With passions spanning across music, fashion, art and mental health, Balvin continues to lead the charge for representation across industries. His commitment to inspire and uplift the next generation, J Balvin launched his philanthropic initiative, Vibra En Alta, a private foundation that educates and empowers individuals by providing them with the tools they need to be the best version of themselves. With his finger on the pulse of the worlds of entertainment, fashion, digital culture and beyond, Balvin has time and again proven to be an unstoppable force and inspiration to emerging artists, entrepreneurs and the Latin community.
