Lorraine Lewis Ignites a New Era with Femme Fatale Revival, Lou Gramm Duet, and Bold New Moves

With her powerful, gutsy voice, LORRAINE LEWIS cemented her place in the rock world as lead vocalist for the band FEMME FATALE with their 1988 self-titled MCA album. It produced two big rock singles and MTV videos: “Waiting For The Big One” and “Falling In And Out of Love.”

Coming off a nearly six-year run as the fiery lead vocalist of Vixen, whom she was invited to join in 2019, the singer, songwriter, and sexy no-holds-barred performer is now doubling down on her legacy with a new FEMME FATALE lineup. “Femme Fatale is what most people know me for,” says LORRAINE. “I like being the only girl in the room, and I’m determined to keep my rock legacy alive. I’ve been working with a renowned songwriter/producer for a Femme Fatale release. I’m lining up my band and hoping to have something out this year. We have a plan and are looking for the right fit with a label. I want to be around people who ‘get me’ and I’ll never stop doing what I love. Rock and Roll never dies.”

Notably, LORRAINE has also been recording with Lou Gramm, the original Foreigner lead singer and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. They have recorded an interpretation of David Bowie’s “Heroes” for release this June (exact date TBA). “While the classic song has been covered by many others, it has never been recorded as a duet with a male and female voice,” says LORRAINE. “When Lou sings the line, ‘I will be king and you will be queen’, I melt.”

“Lou is vocally brilliant,” she adds. “There were moments I could hardly believe I was in the studio with him. The voice I have loved since I sang in bar bands in my hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. I mean, ‘Hot Blooded,’ ‘Cold As Ice,’ and ‘Midnight Blue.’ His voice and chops are like no one I’ve ever worked with.”

“So many people put down social media,” she adds,” but I love it. It’s a way to connect with my tribe on a more personal level. I love being belly to belly with the fans & friends of mine.”

LORRAINE explains how her presence on social media led to working with Gramm. “I do a live ‘Q and A’ every Sunday at 5pm Pacific (8pm Eastern) where I let my tribe ask me anything. A question I get often is: ‘Who would you want to record with?’ My answer is always the same: #1 Lou Gramm, #2 Paul Rodgers, and #3 David Lee Roth.

One Monday back in April,” she recalls, “I got a message from his team on Instagram asking what songs I would want to do with Lou! I was stunned. Is this for real? They asked for my phone number and could I take a call with Lou on a Friday at 1:30pm Pacific. Of course I said yes, not really sure this was legit. But Friday at 1:30pm Pacific, I got a call and it was Mr. Gramm himself!! He told me to call him Lou.

“We started emailing and talking once a week to decide on songs we wanted to record together. It took several months, but we decided on some songs, recorded our vocals in May on our first track.”

LORRAINE is all lit up for 2025 and beyond. “I’m an entertainer. Before Femme Fatale, I was always a singer and performer who wanted to push beyond the limits,” she says. “That will never change, and I’m more fearless than ever. I’ve recently done stand up and I’m open to having a podcast. I’m still creating reality TV, have plans to produce a docu series, and want to do a remake of a movie. HARDY Drops New EP ‘COUNTRY!’ and Hits the Road with Massive World Tour

Country rock superstar HARDY’s new EP COUNTRY! is out today via Big Loud. His first new music of the year, the project features “Favorite Country Song,” “Buck On The Wall” and three more new songs. Get it here.

In celebration, HARDY made his first ever appearance at the Grand Ole Opry this week as part of the Opry 100 festivities. Maoli Releases ‘Last Sip of Summer’ and Kicks Off U.S. Tour

Today, Hawaiian superstar Maoli unveils his highly anticipated full-length album, Last Sip of Summer via ONErpm.

Last Sip of Summer finds Maoli working with hit producers Dann and David Huff to capture his authentic island-country background. Maoli’s blend of traditional Hawaiian music, rock, reggae and country—drawing inspiration from icons like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and George Strait—has earned him widespread recognition across Hawaii, Polynesia and the American West Coast.

The album continues a landmark year for Maoli, who just made his national television debut with a performance of “Last Sip of Summer” on The Today Show. He is in the midst of his Last Sip of Summer U.S. headline tour, which includes stops at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, two nights at Honolulu’s Blaisdell Arena, Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena and more. Maoli’s musical journey began in seventh grade, when he learned to play the ukelele. However, it wasn’t until years later that he fully returned to music, with some encouragement from his uncle. His now storied 15-year career is marked by a series of albums and singles, including covers of hits like Brett Young’s “Mercy” (18+ million Spotify streams) and “In Case You Didn’t Know” (10+ million Spotify streams). Last year, Maoli and Young collaborated on a new song, “Broke Heart Break.”

Breaking into the mainstream with his unique mix of island reggae and country soul, Maoli aims to put his people on the map like they’ve never been before, revealing the common bonds between country folks and island lifers. In 2018, Maoli rediscovered his country roots, having seen the similarities between his music and modern country, from the melodies and strong rhythms to the tradition of simple-life storytelling.

In 2010, his sophomore LP, Rock Easy, landed in the Top 5 on Billboard’s Reggae charts with three #1 singles: “Breaking My Heart,” “Whisper” and “Rock Easy.” In 2020, Maoli won Group of the Year and Album of the Year for the record, Sense Of Purpose, at iHeart’s Island Awards, followed by Album of the Year and Song of the Year in 2021.

In 2023, the band embarked on their “Maoli Music Overload (MMO)” tour, selling more than 45,000 tickets across four cities in Hawaii, in addition to selling 11,500 tickets on the MMO US tour plus several Festival appearances including Cali Roots and Holo Holo Fest Sacramento. Most recently, Maoli made an appearance on American Idol, where he surprised a fan competing on the show.

Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and producer Bad Bunny is in the hot seat on Season 26 of Hot Ones. He discusses his early days performing in elementary school talent shows, the signature sound of a Bad Bunny track, and his claim to fame as one of the best celebrity wrestlers the WWE has ever seen.

On the differences between Puerto Rican slang in Puerto Rico vs. New York (3:30):
“Definitely there’s a difference between slangs. Especially New York, there’s a lot of Dominicans too. The Puerto Rican slang with the Dominican slang, they mix each other. I think with the social media, like TikTok and all these platforms, we could be connected no matter how far we are, so…at the end of the day it’s the same slang.”

On his elementary school performance of ‘Mala Gente’ by Juanes (4:45):
“I was ten years old and I was definitely more nervous that day than the Coachella performance…I don’t remember anything because I was in my own world. I just remember the floor ’cause that was…I was looking at the floor the whole presentation. It was like a fear that I had to beat, like the fear to be in front of people…it was part of my evolution as a person and as an artist.”

On the signature Bad Bunny sound (6:45):
“Especially on this album there’s a lot of salsa, there’s all the rhythms that I’ve never done before…I think the fact that I’m doing it is what makes it different and new, like PIToRRO DE COCO is a [traditional folk music song]. I didn’t change anything but…a little bit of synth at the very beginning, but [then the cuatro comes in, and the güiro, and the bongos…but the fact that I’m doing these old rhythms makes it new.”

On his celebrity WWE wrestling moves (13:15):
“The Bunny Destroyer [wrestling move], that was a John Morrison idea, like ‘you should do the Canadian Destroyer and we call it the Bunny Destroyer.’ And we did it, we practiced it, I really learned a lot about him, about Damien Priest, The Miz, and all the guys that were coaching me.”

On the legacy he hopes to leave behind (18:07):
“For me, I don’t look at things that way. I’ve always said that I never changed, that I’m still the same kid that dreamed of shining and for the world to know who I am. I’m not looking for any kind of tribute or for my legacy to be remembered. My legacy is this: I was always Benito from Puerto Rico, from Vega Baja. And that’s how I was able to accomplish things never imagined before.”

Motörhead Continues 50th Anniversary With Vinyl, Statues, and Global Celebrations

Motorhead, the multi-generational soundtrack and lifestyle for millions worldwide, will celebrate their 50th year in 2025, and in honor of this historic milestone, a series of releases and events will take place throughout the year. Having played live to millions of fans, and sold over 25 million albums in their career, the Grammy-Award winning Motorhead are as popular as ever as their golden jubilee commences. In 2024, the band enjoyed a brand new UK top 10 single in October with “Lawman”, racked up over 320 million streams globally, numbered 20 million listeners on Spotify, and garnered over 112 million views on YouTube.

“It’s incredible to know that our music, and all it stands for, continues to resonate with so many people,” says guitarist Phil Campbell, “of course we’re enormously grateful to still be appreciated like we are, and truthfully, the music remains as vital and important as ever because there’s a unique energy and honesty to it that we will all always need.”

“It’s a remarkable story, the connection we have with our fans can only be described as family and it’s so exciting to see the family still growing,” says Mikkey Dee, “But it also makes sense, because people know who we are and what the music is about. Motorhead has always stood for doing it OUR way, it’s timeless, and continues to inspire people to take that path.”

Kicking off the celebrations will be special 50th anniversary, limited vinyl editions of Motorhead’s breakthrough albums; Overkill, Bomber and Ace Of Spades. These are all cut as half speed masters, pressed as special colour configurations and all include an exclusive poster and out now here.

Then on May 8th, International Motorhead Day, a very special Lemmy Forever ashes event will take place – the unveiling of a Lemmy statue in his birthplace of Stoke-On-Trent. The sculptor of the piece is renowned British artist Andy Edwards (who has previously done statues of The Beatles, Bob Marley, and The Bee Gees among others), and Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell will place the ashes and lead the celebrations. “This new statue of Lem is special, not just because I share the same birthplace as him or because of how much he personally means to me, but because it’s so important to have a permanent international landmark celebrating him where he was born,” says Edwards. “Lemmy gave me joy, confidence in myself, and energy, and he’s also an avatar of the original spirit and power of Rock n Roll. I really hope it will become a meeting place for people from all over the world to take the journey to.”

“To be able to see Lemmy further immortalized in his place of birth by Andy’s amazing statue is a huge deal,” says manager Todd Singerman. “This man left the building 10 years ago, yet he remains not only with us, but is even more popular than ever. It’s because Lemmy stood for honesty, integrity, inclusion, and making the greatest, loudest rock’n’roll possible. Let’s face it, there is only one Lemmy and the world continues to celebrate him and his music loudly and proudly.”
