Cage The Elephant, LCD Soundsystem, And The Lumineers Lead Okeechobee Festival’s 10-Year Reunion

0

Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival is back, and the 10-Year Reunion is shaping up to be one of the most significant gatherings the beloved Florida independent festival has ever staged. OMF 2026 takes place now through March 22 at Sunshine Grove, with headline performances from Cage The Elephant, Fisher, GRiZ, Knock2, T-Pain, LCD Soundsystem, and The Lumineers anchoring a genuinely diverse, multi-genre lineup spanning three years of pent-up anticipation.

The festival opened Thursday with an exclusive slate for 4-Day ticketholders, featuring headline sets from Cage The Elephant, Dirty Heads, and Knock2, alongside the first-ever Aquachobee Dub Reggae Takeover. That opening night brought a traditional Nyabinghi Drumming Opening Ceremony followed by performances from Subatomic Sound System, featuring reggae legend Mykal Rose, Screechy Dan, and Pirate WiFi, plus groundbreaking dub master Scientist with Papa Michigan and Sister Nancy. That is a serious opening statement.

Beyond the headline performances, OMF 2026 brings back the PoWoW!, the festival’s legendary all-star jam session pairing unexpected talents for live mashups under the stars in Sunshine Grove. It has been a defining moment since the inaugural 2016 event, and its return here feels right. Renegade’s Incendia stage delivers four nights of underground energy and bass, while the Jungle 51 Stage runs extended DJ sets from sundown to sunrise.

For fans who could not commit to the full four days, OMF responded by releasing a limited batch of single-day and two-day weekend tickets, the first time two-day options have ever been available. Single-day tickets cover Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with day parking included. Tickets are on sale now at okeechobeefest.com.

UK Alt-Rock Favorites The XCERTS Come Roaring Back With Raw New Single “Do It To Myself”

0

The XCERTS have not lost a step. The Aberdeen-formed, Brighton-based trio return with “do it to myself,” their first original music since 2023 and their debut release on FLG Records. It is a frenetic, grunge-laden alt-rock statement that reconnects the band with the raw urgency that defined their early work, and it lands with real force.

The track was written collaboratively in the same room, something the band stepped away from on their 2023 releases ‘Learning How to Live’ and ‘Let Go.’ That return to shared, immediate creativity is audible in every second of the recording. Bright, urgent guitar tones recall the energy of 2014’s ‘There Is Only You’, while vocalist and guitarist Murray Macleod delivers one of his most vulnerable performances to date. “There’s a desperate urgency about this song,” he says. “It’s an admission of my fragility and tendency to self-sabotage. That conflicting feeling was intentional. We wanted it to feel uncomfortable, honest, and human.”

The XCERTS, completed by bassist Jordan Smith and drummer Tom Heron, have maintained the same unbroken lineup since forming in 2001, a rare feat that speaks directly to the depth of the creative bond at the band’s core. After a run of records that leaned toward more polished, pop-adjacent textures, “do it to myself” marks a decisive return to grit and catharsis without sacrificing any of the melodic weight the band has developed across two decades.

Macleod has remained active outside the band as well, recently appearing as guest vocalist on As It Is’ single “Ruin My Life” and serving as live guitarist for Idlewild. The XCERTS’ connection to the UK alternative scene has never dimmed, and “do it to myself” makes clear the next chapter is going to be worth paying close attention to.

The Revivalists Are Taking Their Party To The High Seas With “Otherside Of Paradise At Sea”

0

The Revivalists have always known how to throw a party, and this time they are doing it on the open water. The New Orleans rock outfit has teamed with Sixthman, the 25-year leader in music festivals and cruises, to present Otherside of Paradise at Sea, a four-night sailing from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas aboard Norwegian Jewel, November 3 through 7.

Three unique headline performances from The Revivalists anchor the lineup, surrounded by a stacked roster that includes Saint Motel, Dawes, David Shaw, Neal Francis, Andy Frasco & The U.N., Moon Taxi, Say She She, The Heavy Heavy, Maggie Rose, Eddie 9V, Hans Williams, Boyfriend, and Artist-At-Large Mike Dillon. Individual band members also deliver their own special performances throughout the sailing, making this a full-immersion Revivalists experience unlike anything a standard tour stop can offer.

The onboard programming goes well beyond the music. The RevHeads Ball At Sea, All in the Family Feud, Get Rowdy & Run, Rev UP & Throw, the (Not-So) Newlywed Game, and a nightly Shut Up & Dance headphone disco party give fans direct access to the band in ways that simply do not happen at a regular show. Norwegian Jewel brings world-class dining, multiple hot tubs, a casino, spa, and fitness center to round out the experience.

Nassau delivers the rest: white-sand beaches, crystal-clear water, and the kind of laid-back energy that pairs perfectly with four nights of rock and roll. Shore excursions will be available four to six weeks before sailing.

The Fray Are Back With A New Album And A Full North American “Summer Of Light” Tour

0

The Fray have spent years away from the album cycle, and ‘A Light That Waits’ makes the wait feel worthwhile. The Denver rock outfit’s first full-length release in years arrived March 13, and the “Summer of Light” Tour, promoted by Live Nation, is the live chapter that follows. The North American run opens May 11 in Moncton, New Brunswick and closes August 29 in Chicago, with Dashboard Confessional, Colony House, The Strumbellas, and Brother Elsey joining on select dates.

The album title track is out now, written by drummer Ben Wysocki, frontman Joe King, guitarist Dave Welsh, and producer Jason Suwito. It marks the first song the three band members wrote together from scratch since their return, and the story behind it says everything about where The Fray are right now. “We were in Ben’s studio in Denver, just trying to discover something,” King says. “All of a sudden, it was clear: this is a light that waits.” That kind of organic rediscovery translates directly into the music.

The 11-track album, produced by Jason Suwito, Ryan Linvill, and The Fray, follows three 2025 singles including “My Heart’s a Crowded Room,” “Emerald,” and “Songs I’d Rather Not Sing.” The band’s emotional, cinematic songwriting has always connected across formats, and this record channels that strength with renewed focus.

The tour routing is extensive, opening with a Canadian run through Moncton, Montreal, London, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver before a summer U.S. push through Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Austin, Atlanta, Boston, New York, Toronto, Detroit, and Chicago. “Getting these new songs in front of people is going to be exciting,” Wysocki says. That enthusiasm comes through in the sheer scope of the routing.

lice Cooper Brings The “Alice’s Attic” Tour To New Cities This Spring

0

Alice Cooper has been doing this longer than most bands have existed, and the theatrical rock icon shows no signs of pulling back. His “Alice’s Attic” Tour launches April 14 in San Antonio and runs through May 9 in Camden, NJ, bringing a production first unveiled during last fall’s co-headline run with Judas Priest to a fresh set of cities across the American South, Midwest, and East Coast.

The routing hits 19 dates across some genuinely varied rooms, from the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio to the Durham Performing Arts Center to a festival appearance at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach on May 7. Cooper has always known how to match his theatrical instincts to whatever stage he is standing on, and this tour is built to deliver that experience in markets that did not get the Judas Priest co-headline run last fall.

For over five decades, Cooper has drawn from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock to create one of live music’s most distinctive experiences. The “Alice’s Attic” production carries that tradition forward, and audiences in cities like Terre Haute, Pikeville, and Albertville will get a show that most touring acts would not bring anywhere near their zip codes. That is part of what makes Cooper’s live career so remarkable.

Jam Rock Favorites Goose Are Taking Over Madison Square Garden And Red Rocks This Summer

0

Goose have built one of the most dedicated live followings in rock, and their 2026 tour calendar makes a serious case for why. The Connecticut-bred jam rock outfit has unveiled a massive summer headline run that stretches from North America through Europe and back again, highlighted by two nights at Madison Square Garden, two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and stops across the UK and continent before the summer push even begins.

The European leg opens May 22 with a two-night stand at London’s Electric Brixton, moving through Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne, Paris, Berlin, and closing with a festival appearance at NorthSide 2026 in Aarhus, Denmark on June 5. From there, the North American summer run launches June 13 at RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto and builds quickly toward the Madison Square Garden two-nighter on June 19 and 20. Special guests across select dates include Julian Lage, The Disco Biscuits, Moe,, Greensky Bluegrass, and Buffalo Traffic Jam.

Before all of that, Goose heads to San José del Cabo for the second edition of Viva El Gonzo, May 7 through 9, presented by 100x Hospitality. Three consecutive nights with two sets each, alongside My Morning Jacket, Cory Wong, LP Giobbi, Jim James (Acoustic), and the California Honeydrops. That festival alone would be a highlight of most bands’ year.

The West Coast stretch in August is equally strong. The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Frost Amphitheater at Stanford, KettleHouse Amphitheater in Missoula, and two nights at Red Rocks close out the run with the kind of venues that match Goose’s growing stature. One dollar from every ticket sold benefits the Western Sun Foundation, supporting nonprofits in communities Goose fans travel through.

Dave Matthews Band does not do things halfway. The iconic rock outfit has unveiled an extensive 2026 U.S. summer tour, opening with three Texas dates in May and closing with their beloved Labor Day weekend residency at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA on September 4, 5, and 6. Between those bookends sits one of the most ambitious routing packages in the band’s recent history.

The tour includes inaugural performances at three brand new venues: Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, MN, Morton Amphitheater in Kansas City, MO, and Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids, MI. Aerosmith Delivers The Definitive Version Of Their 1973 Debut With The New ‘Legendary Edition’

0

Fifty-plus years on, Aerosmith’s self-titled debut still hits like a freight train, and now it sounds better than ever. Aerosmith (Legendary Edition) is out now via Capitol Records/UMe, the first time the Boston rock legends have assembled a truly definitive version of the multi-platinum 1973 record that started everything. Steven Tyler and Joe Perry worked alongside Grammy Award-nominated producer Zakk Cervini and Grammy Award-winning producer Steve Berkowitz to newly mix the original recordings from the source tapes.

The release comes in multiple configurations, anchored by a stunning five-LP Legendary Collector’s Edition box set featuring the remastered original album, the 2024 Album Mix, a previously unreleased 1973 live performance from Paul’s Mall, and a collection of unheard studio tracks. Creative direction and photography come from Ross Halfin, with liner notes by Rick Florino drawing on new interviews with all five original members. Testimonials from Dolly Parton, Slash, Jerry Cantrell, Mike McCready, Corey Taylor, Chris Robinson, Sully Erna, and others round out a package that treats the album with the reverence it deserves.

The buried treasures are worth the price alone. The “Harmonica Bass Jam Jelly,” an unfiltered rehearsal take of “Make It,” and the nearly six-minute “Joined At The Hip” have never been heard publicly until now. That last one even previews the nascent lick that would become “Sweet Emotion,” a detail that will send devoted fans straight to repeat.

The album’s story is one of rock’s great slow burns. Released January 5, 1973, it took two years of relentless touring before “Dream On” finally cracked the Top 10. The song has since surpassed 1.5 billion streams on Spotify and earned induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2018. The record itself was later certified double platinum by the RIAA.

Aerosmith recently collaborated with Yungblud on the One More Time EP, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top Rock & Alternative Albums Chart and No. 9 on the Billboard 200, making them only the fifth act ever to place a Top 10 album in each of the last six decades. The Legendary Edition arrives at exactly the right moment.

Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Lou Gramm Resurfaces Lost Songs On New Solo Album ‘Released’

0

Lou Gramm has been sitting on some incredible music, and the wait is finally over. The legendary Foreigner vocalist and 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee announces ‘Released’, a ten-track solo album arriving March 27 on Rhino Records, built entirely from original recordings made in the 1980s during the sessions that produced his three previous solo records. Lead single “Young Love” is out now.

“These are powerful, heartfelt songs with a great vintage sound taken right from my old multitrack tapes,” Gramm says. “When I pulled these songs out of the vault, I knew I had to finish them for my fans around the world.” The result is exactly what that description promises: a classic AOR album with Gramm’s signature powerhouse vocals front and center, co-written with his former Black Sheep bandmate Bruce Turgon.

The supporting cast is formidable. Def Leppard’s Vivian Campbell plays guitar on opening track “Young Love,” Tony Franklin handles bass on “Long Gone,” and Gramm’s brother Ben Gramm appears on drums throughout. The physical release lands on CD and limited-edition ruby red vinyl, and the album closes the loop on a solo catalog that now stands complete alongside his landmark work with Foreigner.

Gramm’s story needs no introduction. Foreigner became the first band since The Beatles to see their first eight singles reach the US Top 20. His solo run produced hits including “Midnight Blue” and “Just Between You And Me.” ‘Released’ adds a third chapter to that solo story, one that has been decades in the making.

A promotional tour kicks off this summer, with full headline dates and special appearances with Foreigner to be announced.

‘Released’ Track Listing:

  1. “Young Love”
  2. “Lightning Strikes”
  3. “Walk The Walk”
  4. “Long Gone”
  5. “Heart And Soul”
  6. “Long Hard Look”
  7. “True Blue Love (Unplugged)”
  8. “Deeper Side of Love”
  9. “Time Heals The Pain”
  10. “Word Gets Around”
