Jenna Paulette And Jake Worthington Share Rustic Duet “Chasin’ Whiskey”

0

Leo33 rising country artist Jenna Paulette joins forces with fellow Texan Jake Worthington on a new duet version of “Chasin’ Whiskey,” giving the song a deeper barroom ache and shared sense of surrender. Written by Joe Fox and Tony Lane, the track first appeared as a solo moment on Paulette’s sophomore album ‘Horseback’ and now unfolds as a two voice reckoning with love that slipped away. Built on Western fiddle and steel guitar haze, the duet leans into late night stillness, empty glasses, and the quiet clarity that follows heartbreak. The pairing clicks instantly, with Paulette’s clean twang and Worthington’s full bodied baritone circling the same worn truths.

The new version adds emotional weight through contrast and harmony, turning the song into a conversation rather than a confession. It arrives alongside a busy chapter for Paulette that includes recent releases like “Steady” and a growing creative footprint across music and fashion. Worthington also continues his own run of thoughtful collaborations, including recent work with Ashley McBryde. “Chasin’ Whiskey” stands out as a grounded country moment that feels lived in, honest, and unpolished in all the right ways, the kind of duet that lingers long after the last note fades.

Southern California hard rock band Nelson unveils the first-ever official music video for “To Get Back To You,” directed by filmmaker and DC Studios co-chairman and co-CEO James Gunn. The track appears in the season two finale of HBO Max’s Peacemaker, fittingly titled “Full Nelson,” where the band plays a central role in the episode’s story. The performance unfolds during a concert scene with Peacemaker in the crowd, blending comic book spectacle with arena-sized emotion. The video pulls directly from the show while spotlighting the duo’s charged performance, turning a key TV moment into a full visual statement. The song sounds especially powerful here, carrying its melodic drive with renewed intensity and cinematic weight.

Originally released in 2010 on the album ‘Lightning Strikes Twice,’ “To Get Back To You” remains a defining emotional cut in the Nelson catalog. The band continued building momentum with ‘Before The Rain’ and ‘Peace Out,’ while expanding their story beyond music with their self-penned autobiography ‘What Happened to Your Hair?’ out now. Gunnar and Matthew Nelson first broke through with their 1990 debut ‘After The Rain,’ a double platinum release that delivered four Billboard Hot 100 hits and helped establish a lasting legacy. With a deep catalog, millions of global streams, and a fan base that continues to grow, this latest chapter ties their past and present together in a vivid and unmistakably Nelson moment.

Herman Leonard’s Jazz Age Vision Celebrated In Definitive New Photography Book

0

With a camera as his backstage pass, Herman Leonard photographed the giants of jazz in their golden age, movie stars on set and on their travels to exotic places, the fashion world of Paris in the 1960s, and the inner sanctums of his beloved New Orleans.

This sumptuous book is the only full treatment of Leonard’s extraordinary life and distinctive body of work, published in a new edition with a beautiful updated cover, giving his photographs the artistic recognition that they deserve. The greater part of the book consists of his legendary shots of musicians, but uniquely among volumes on Leonard the text presents the whole range of his work, including travel, war, celebrity, fashion, and nude photography, while there are also chapters on the images of his early and late periods. Also included are rare portraits of the cultural icons of his day, such as Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein.

Above all, Leonard is best known for his jazz images. In a fascinating essay, David Houston reveals how Leonard’s friendships with jazz greats such as Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, and Duke Ellington allowed him to capture the magical moments of the Harlem and Paris jazz clubs in the 1940s and ’50s, using his unique command of cinematic lighting to capture their essence as performers.

Published in cooperation with the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans and the Herman Leonard Estate, the book includes a foreword by Quincy Jones.
