Teethe Announce ‘Magic Of The Sale’ LP, Share New Single “Holy Water”

0

The Southern slowcore band from Texas, have shared “Holy Water,” the arresting new single from their forthcoming new album, Magic Of The Sale, out August 8th via Winspear. The track arrives with a video by Alan “Rickman” Official. The track features lead vocals from the band’s Madeline Dowd and pedal steel by Wednesday and MJ Lenderman’s Xandy Chelmis.

Paste Magazine, who profiled the band today and named them The Best of What’s Next, is saying “the record is an honest, stripped-back walk through life’s universal heartbreak, from the acceptance of our mutual exploitation to the lies we tell ourselves to just get through the day. The results are as solemn as they are beautiful.”

The band announced the album last month with a video for its title track “Magic Of The Sale,” which was named the Best Song of the Week by Stereogum who praised its “hi-fi production and a grandiosity,” saying “there are flashes of ambient and indie-pop and emo and post-rock threaded into the song’s slowcore foundation, all of it cohering into a gorgeous slow-build swoon that levels off into a cloud of euphoric melancholia.”

On Magic Of The Sale, Teethe unveil their sad and beautiful world, where the Texas band’s four distinct songwriters, singers, and artists ask a series of interlocked questions about what it means to build a life in a time of shared collapse. Magic Of The Sale is a soft but steely record about the worst quandaries we can encounter, from being trapped by an existence we didn’t entirely create to the hell that other people can be.

Teethe is hitting the road this fall and winter on a tour that includes a stop at Pitchfork Music Festival London in November. All dates below.

Magic Of The Sale is an expansive next step for the band, one that folds new collaborators into the mix—Xandy Chelmis of Wednesday, Charlie Martin of Hovvdy, Logan Hornyak of Melaina Kol and several other veteran musicians. Still, Teethe took special care to preserve the part of the process that made their debut so special, now with expanded toolkits. On Magic Of The Sale, they’ve boosted their gear and home studios and dug into the craft of composition and production. Without an outsider producer or engineer, the band’s Boone Patrello spent four months mixing the record–taking the patchwork of tracks from each member and their collaborators and funneling several visions into one complete picture. From a long-overlooked pocket of Texas’ musical wealth, Teethe returns with a deeply layered and collaborative work that makes the weight of the world feel a little lighter to lug.

Before there was Teethe, there were other acts and assorted solo projects, all outlets for the four people who would eventually become a single band to write and record songs of their own. In Denton, Texas, a little more than a half-decade ago, the music scene gradually did what any good one should do: connected people with shared interests and sensibilities and encouraged them in turn to push, collectively, a bit further. For Teethe, the dual nexuses were house shows and a mutual enthusiasm for home recording. Four songwriters began to share once-siloed works, rounding out one another’s drafts until they’d steadily but casually built a recordTeethe’s 2020 self-titled debut, a loose and warm 12-track collage of exquisite existential blues and twilit harmonies. Their expectations were modest, but a few early cassette runs slowly led to several sold-out vinyl editions, unlikely name-drops from mega-stars, and several tours across the United States and Europe. Born of living-room jams and DIY spaces, Teethe seemed to stumble toward success on a path they proudly made themselves.

A decade ago, not long after Teethe founder Boone Patrello began his band Dead Sullivan, he met Madeline Dowd during their earliest days at the University of North Texas. She started a band, Crisman, and then joined the group of Grahm Robinson, MAH KEE OH, for a tour alongside Dead Sullivan. After Jordan Garrett joined Dowd’s Crisman in 2019, the four people who would soon become Teethe were effectively interconnected. They played with one another in living rooms after their other bands finished practice and tinkered with reel-to-reel experiments, the stakes as low as any hangout but the connection high. If all those band names and rendezvous points along the way get confusing, just remember: They allowed the then-inchoate Teethe to connect without pressure or expectation, to discover the language they soon captured so elegantly.

Dowd painted the cover of Teethe’s first album, the confused look on the character’s face warped with worry and distorted by drips of pigment that suggest green tears. A similar figure reappears on the cover of Magic Of The Sale, again painted by Dowd. But that grimace of endless exhaustion is gone. Clad in red and caught mid-stride, they look more like a jester, a cool curiosity splashed across their face as they stand in an archway to welcome you to the vast world of uncharted land and sky just in the distance. That is how Teethe feels and sounds throughout Magic Of The Sale—newly confident but still full of questions about the unknown, about what comes next.

Kami Kehoe Unleashes Explosive New Single “Dopamine” Ahead of ‘Kandy’ EP

0

Ascending alt-rock talent, Kami Kehoe, has today unveiled her latest single, “Dopamine“, alongside the announcement of her upcoming EP, “Kandy” set for release on July 18th, 2025 via Coup D’Etat Recordings and 10K Projects. This forthcoming EP showcases Kehoe’s unmistakable voice on a dynamic, modern production that blends gritty rock with a fresh, fearless sense of experimentation. Fans can pre-save “Kandy” HERE.

What began as a handful of cryptic teasers quickly erupted into a fan-fueled phenomenon, as early previews of “Kandy” exploded across social media, racking up more than 7 million views before the first track, “Dopamine” even dropped. The overwhelming response from fans sharing, debating, and rallying behind each new snippet fast-tracked the EP’s release date, transforming what could have been a routine rollout into a genuine, fan-powered movement.

Reflecting on the release of “Dopamine” and the announcement on her brand new EP, Kami Kehoe shares:

“I wrote “DOPAMINE” when I was at a pretty low spot in my life, this song really healed something in me and I hope it can do the same for anyone who needs it.

I was going through a break up while writing this EP, each song helped me get through my heartache. I was able to pull from my own experiences from my perspective and there’s. The main concept of this entire EP is that even when something is good or feels good doesn’t always mean it’s good for you. I use a lot of metaphors relating to candy, drugs, and all these “wrong” things that may feel right sometimes and compared it to how I felt with my past relationship. I hope this EP can help anyone who needs it like it did for me.”

Amplifying her momentum, Kami Kehoe will be joining renowned rock icons Daughtry, Seether, and POD as the opening act on their highly-anticipated fall US tour. Moving seamlessly between the festival buzz of Warped Tour and arena stages, Kami Kehoe’s effortless live presence speaks to her undeniable range and broad appeal. As she nears her largest tour to date, this run marks a significant milestone for the up-and-coming artist as she shares the stage with three of rock’s most established acts on a landmark run of shows.

Carving out her own space in the alt-rock world, Kami Kehoe has impressively amassed over 25 million streams and more than 24 million TikTok views by blending a sultry, velvety vocal with a hard-charged rock energy. Since breaking out with the viral hit “SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD”, she has continued to evolve her sound—infusing shoegaze, metal, and hip-hop influences into her music while remaining unapologetically authentic.

S8nt Elektric Ignite with New Single “TAR” from Upcoming Album ‘Off The Edge’

0

S8NT ELEKTRIC have quickly become a force in the heavy music scene. Not just for their innovative rock sound — a collision of crushing riffs and infectious pop hooks — but for their commitment to truly living “OFF THE EDGE.”

This isn’t just a motto.

It’s a lifestyle, demonstrated by their death-defying stunts including being circled by drift cars and skydiving.

Founded on the bold vision of singer Bri Carbajal and lead guitarist Niko Tsangaris, and brought to life by the talents of Trey Baker (drums), Sinner (guitar), and Harrison Forsythe (bass), S8nt Elektricuse their adrenaline junkie attitude and honest songwriting to inspire listeners to confront their fears and chase their dreams. The band has toured Europe every summer, opening for artists like Wolfmother, Mammoth WVH, MC5, Dirty Honey, and WARGASM, as well as playing huge festivals such as Bottlerock, Rockville, Prague Rocks, and Azkena Rocks.

With “TAR,” S8NT ELEKTRIC unveil the second track and its accompanying music video, cut from their debut album OFF THE EDGE, which will be released in late 2025.

“‘TAR’ is a high-energy track that embodies the heavy rock sound that we are known for,” comments S8nt Elektric. “It’s a song written about struggling with anxiety and ultimately overcoming it. Our hope is that it helps others as much as it helped us.”

The band continues, “Mental health can be a difficult thing to talk about since social media has conditioned us to think we have to have perfect lives or there’s something wrong with us. In reality, we are all dealing with something or another. ‘TAR’ is a very personal song for us and a song that is SO fun to play. The breakdown at the end has never failed to get people moshing and going wild in the pit. It always ends up being a highlight moment of every show.”

Reversed Chakra Drop New Single “All The Way Down” with Loki Films Video

0

Riding a massive wave of momentum from recent singles, burgeoning alternative rock band REVERSED CHAKRA are back with a brand new anthem, ‘All The Way Down‘ via Streaming now, the enthralling new track was produced by Paul Reeve (Muse) and John Fryer (Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails) and is accompanied by a breathtaking music video from Loki Films (Sleep Token, Architects, Slipknot).

Commenting on the new single, the band states:

‘All The Way Down’ is a descent into the emotional abyss—where pain becomes clarity and beauty emerges from collapse. It represents a pivotal moment in our journey, and Loki Films brought our vision to life with a visual narrative that feels like a dream unraveling. Sometimes, you have to go all the way down to rise again.

All The Way Down‘ follows the massive singles ‘Game of Chess‘ and ‘Dust‘,

The term “reversed” is associated with an alternative flow of energy. For instance, in the idea of a “Reversed Kundalini,” energy might flow in the opposite direction of the traditional upward movement through the chakras. This concept is symbolically connected to an “Inverted Tree,” rooted in the heavens and growing earthward.

‘Chakra’ represents the gateway, the threshold through which this energy traverses in its reversed course, enhancing the spiritual experience and challenging the boundaries of perception. ‘Reversed Chakra’ embodies a journey of exploration and transformation, where the flow of energy defies expectations and opens doors to new dimensions of consciousness.”

‘Reversed Chakra’ thus becomes not just a name, but a statement of intent, declaring a willingness to invert traditional pathways of spiritual energy and discover what lies beneath the surface, in the rich, uncharted territories of the soul. Reversed Chakra is a declaration of defiance against the status quo, it beckons the seeker to embrace the unknown, knowing that true enlightenment lies not in conformity, but in the audacious act of reversal.”

The music, a compelling fusion of indie rock, Dark Wave, and Post Rock, resonates with profound emotional depth, weaving a narrative that transcends the ordinary. Drawing inspiration from luminaries such as Interpol, Editors, Kings Of Leon, The Killers, The Cure, and Sigur Ros, Reversed Chakra embarks on a sonic odyssey that defies convention and embraces the sublime.

Under the guidance of Carlo Bellotti, Alice Bianconcini and renowned producer Paul Reeve— whose illustrious credits include collaborations with British icons Muse, John Fryer (Producer of bands like Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Him) and Richard Dodd (Kings Of Leon) —the band has crafted the debut album, “Healing Heart Rehab” Set for release in early 2025, this magnum opus promises to captivate audiences worldwide, its essence will be introduced five groundbreaking singles that offer a magnetic glimpse into the soul-shattering journey that awaits.

Their first two singles, Game Of Chess and Dust, have collectively amassed over 3.3 million views on YouTube. On May 30, the band will release their third single, All The Way Down— once again produced by Paul Reeve and John Fryer—accompanied by a stunning music video crafted by Loki Films (Underoath, Architects, Sleep Token, Corey Taylor, and many others).

The Dandy Warhols Announce West Coast Fall Tour with Kula Shaker

This Fall, THE DANDY WARHOLS will kick off a Western U.S. run of dates with British psych rock legends KULA SHAKER as their special guests, bringing together two psych rock greats from both sides of the Atlantic. The Dandy Warhols will launch on September 22nd in Salt Lake City and September 23rd in Denver before connecting with Kula Shaker in Texas for a round of dates leading to the West Coast.

“We’re extra excited about this upcoming tour with Kula Shaker because we love that band and we’re going to have a really good time hanging out with them,” says Courtney Taylor-Taylor of Portland, OR-based The Dandy Warhols.

Adds guitarist/vocalist Crispian Mills of London, England’s Kula Shaker, “We’ve always dug the Dandy Warhols’ tunes and their stonesy vibe, not to mention their work with the Velvets and their defining contribution to Pop Art. It’s going to be a blast travelling around with them! We can’t wait!”

The Dandy Warhols’ Rock Remaker EP (released on May 16, 2025) featured remixes by Ride, Trentemøller, A Place To Bury Strangers, and Night Club of tracks from their critically-hailed 2024 album ROCKMAKER which featured Debbie Harry, Slash and Frank Black. “I absolutely love remixes, someone else’s interpretation, or complete destruction of a song,” says Peter G. Holmström (guitarist/keyboardist). Called “a haze of smashed reverb tanks and tape-melted fuzz-pure sonic noir” by Dosage Magazine and hailed by ReGen Magazine as “a grittier, more chaotic interpretation of The Dandys’ sound,” the EP reinforced the band’s reputation of being equal parts unpredictable and electrifying.

A formidable live force to be reckoned with, The Dandy Warhols have consistently earned rave reviews for their performances. Boston Globe hailed that “the band wrapped its audience in a sonic blanket that had an almost narcotic warmth at times.” Parklife DC said of their Washington, DC show, “the quartet maintained their classic psych rock roots but dove into even a grittier edge that borders on post-punk and even goth.” About the Toronto show on March 12, The Spill Magazine says, “The Dandy Warhols electrified the Toronto stage with a performance that exuded sheer power and badassery right from the get-go… Their unparalleled talent and chemistry create an experience unlike any other.”

Currently in the midst of a whirlwind of activity in 2025, Kula Shaker recently released the single “Charge of the Light Brigade” which Jammerzine calls “a retro-tastic stance in the stanza with bravado and flair from a set of truly original musicians,” while Northern Exposure says the band is “more powerful than ever … a sonic power that’s thrillingly new and yet, at the same time, contains an aura that is so nice and ageless.” Having just wrapped up a tremendous UK tour with Ocean Colour Scene, Kula Shaker is gearing up for a handful of summer festival dates and more new music and more live dates in the U.S. to come (stay tuned for more announcements soon!).

Excited for the Fall tour, Mills replies, “We tend to offer an assortment of live goodies. Songs like ‘Govinda,’ ‘Tattva,’ and ‘Hush’ [from their platinum-certified 1996 album K] are always a joy because they never get tired. They just run and run, like good German motor cars. Must be some kind of enchantment. Whether old or new, the songs have to stand up and be counted. We have a brand new one called ‘My Lucky Number‘ that tallies well in this context.”

In addition to viewing this tour as a fitting cap on the 30th anniversary of their debut album Dandys Rule OK (1995), The Dandy Warhols plan to take a much-needed break from the road. “After these dates, we’re not going to tour for a few years, which we have never done,” Taylor-Taylor concludes. “So it is a bit of a last hurrah.”

From Ashes to New Announce 2025 New Disease Tour with Magnolia Park, Until I Wake, and Not Enough Space

0

From Ashes to New announced their 2025 New Disease Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the 28-city tour kicks off on September 20 at Delmar Hall in St. Louis making stops across the U.S. in Chicago, Cleveland, Atlanta and more before wrapping up in Fort Lauderdale at Revolution Live on November 14.

After coming off a wildly successful two-year album cycle for their Blackout album – where the band amassed their biggest hit, the #2-charting “Barely Breathing” (feat. Chrissy from Against the Current), multiple Top 10s, and over 120 million streams – they played the biggest festivals and toured with top acts including Shinedown, Motionless In White, In This Moment, Nothing More and Set It Off. From Ashes to New refuses to stop the momentum.

Finishing touring in November 2024, From Ashes to New immediately went into the studio – facing multiple obstacles, including abandoning the initial writing and recording sessions to instead focus on refining the evolution of their sound. Eventually reorganizing, the band wrote and recorded what will be their upcoming, currently unnamed album in just three months. “The songs just kept flowing. Once we decided to just go for it…”

Already in 2025, the band has toured with scene legends Asking Alexandria and revisited the stages at the world-famous Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville festivals. Getting ready to begin releasing new music this summer, From Ashes to New are as poised as they’ve ever been to further their extraordinary career.

“This tour with incredible support from Magnolia Park, Until I Wake and Not Enough Space is gonna rip so hard! We may even have to break out a few new songs and a whole new vibe. The next chapter is almost here and we are beyond ready to share it with everyone.” – Matt Brandyberry

While the focus right now remains on touring – including hitting all stops on the 2025 Warped Tour and Louder Than Life – From Ashes to New are hopeful to unleash a new single for summer 2025 and give fans a small taste of an album they are all in on..

TICKETS: Tickets will be available starting with artist presales beginning today, June 10 at 12PM ET / 9AM PT. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on sale beginning Friday, June 13 at 10am local time at FromAshesToNew.com.

Bruce Dickinson Reimagines ‘Balls to Picasso’ and Plots Major North American Tour

0

In 1994, having left Iron Maiden for a time (he rejoined in 1999), Bruce Dickinson released his second solo album, entitled Balls To Picasso. Named in honor of the cubist pioneer whose representations of spherical objects were as squares and reflected on the cover in graffiti style on a tiled bathroom wall, the album belied its irreverent title by solidifying Dickinson’s reputation as a serious solo artist.

His first record with collaborator Roy Z, and recorded with Z’s band Tribe Of Gypsies, it went through various iterations before its release, produced by Shay Baby. The original album included a number of classic tracks and live favorites from Dickinson including the singles “Tears Of The Dragon” and “Shoot All The Clowns,” alongside the much-loved epic “Laughing In The Hiding Bush,” which was the original title for the album.

Yet despite its positive reception at the time, it never quite captured Dickinson’s original vision which was even more expansive in scope and ambition. However, with the ability to revisit his solo catalog – and following on from Dickinson’s hugely acclaimed album The Mandrake Project in 2024 – the brand-new part re-recorded, remixed and newly mastered version of the album, now entitled More Balls To Picasso, reimagines it as a fresh and contemporary release; a roaringly full-throttle and ambitious collection of supremely crafted and realised songs.

Dickinson says of it, “While mixing all my catalogue into Dolby Atmos I had a nagging desire to revisit and reinvent the record. So putting more balls into ‘Balls…’ was a labour of love. Of course, we beefed up the guitars – courtesy of our ‘Swedish shredder’ Philip Naslund and we added some really beautiful work by Adassi Addasi on ‘Tears…’ as well. Fellow Brazilian composer Antonio Teoli added some stunning orchestral arrangements, and in a unique contribution, added indigenous instruments from the Amazon (recorded by himself when he lived there!) at the beginning of ‘Gods Of War’.

“‘Shoot All The Clowns’ gets the benefit of a horn section fronted by the Berklee College of Music, and all of the record gets the benefit of the mix by Brendan Duffey, (who worked on The Mandrake Project), with notes along the way from Shay Baby, the original father of the album”.

Additionally, More Balls To Picasso includes two previously unreleased live in-the-studio tracks, “Gods of War” and “Shoot All the Clowns.” It will be available as a splatter vinyl double album and tri-panel digisleeve CD album.

More Balls to Picasso Tracklisting:

  1. Cyclops
  2. Hell No
  3. Gods of War
  4. 1000 Points of Light
  5. Laughing in the Hiding Bush

This Summer, Bruce Dickinson will embark on his first extensive North American solo tour in almost 30 years in support of his current studio album The Mandrake Project, with a setlist encompassing his entire solo career. “The Mandrake Project Live 2025” North American Tour kicks off in Anaheim, CA. at The House of Blues on August 22nd and takes the band across North America including shows in New York, Los Angeles, Texas, Florida and Canada, with festival appearances at “Rocklahoma” (OK) and “Louder Than Life” (KY) with more to be announced. The tour also includes a quick return to Brazil for the prestigious “The Town” Festival at the City of Light in Sao Paulo.

Turnstile Launch “Never Enough Tour” With Star-Studded Lineup and Film Release

0

TURNSTILE have announced details of “THE NEVER ENOUGH TOUR” – a North American headline tour set to get underway on September 15th. The fall run will feature support from SPEED and Jane Remover each night, with special guests Amyl & The Sniffers, Blood Orange, and Mannequin Pussy performing on select dates. Ticket pre-sales for “THE NEVER ENOUGH TOUR” begin on June 11th at 10:00 AM local time with general on sale starting June 13th at 10:00 AM local time.

This past Friday TURNSTILE released their acclaimed new album NEVER ENOUGH. Available across all streaming platforms in a variety of physical formats, the expansive collection is a restless and exhilarating evolution of TURNSTILE’s genre-defying sound. A transformative journey, both fearless and alive, by one of the most forward-thinking and influential bands of their generation. Furthermore, the album’s companion film TURNSTILE: NEVER ENOUGH is in theaters now. Directed by the band’s own Brendan Yates and Pat McCrory, the film is available in theaters across the U.S. For tickets and information on showtimes, visit www.turnstile.movie.

The band celebrated the release of NEVER ENOUGH last week with a sold-out performance at Brooklyn’s Under The K Bridge. The show capped off a week of TURNSTILE events in New York City beginning with a headline making performance of “I CARE / DULL” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon – watch it HERE. The band also joined Pitchfork writer Lawrence Burney for a live Q&A to celebrate the launch of the publication’s new cover story on them, while Tribeca Festival hosted the band for the world premiere of TURNSTILE: NEVER ENOUGH.

Recorded between Los Angeles and their homes in Baltimore, NEVER ENOUGH is produced by TURNSTILE’s Brendan Yates [ album art / tracklisting below]. The collection is led by the album’s title track, “LOOK OUT FOR ME,” and double single “SEEIN’ STARS” / “BIRDS.” It marks the TURNSTILE’s first new album since 2021’s GLOW ON, which earned the band four GRAMMY nominations.
