Lol Y Los Pícaros Ignite A Rebellion With Their Raw New Single “Paris’ Burning”

0

Founded in Paris in 2022, Lol y Los Pícaros established a dual identity rooted in the distorted guitars of vintage rock and wild Hispanic rhythms. Their new single “Paris’ Burning” functions as an embrace in the fire and a gasping breath as the city burns. The band avoids a polished sound to deliver music that speaks of revolt and abandon. This track represents a race against the flames where desire and rebellion become one. The group creates feverish anthems like “Chicas Sucias” alongside dark ballads such as “The Light And The End” to transform chaos into a collective trance.

This music is a gorgeous and essential explosion of garage rock energy. The band utilizes a writing style that oscillates between English and Spanish to transcend the local Parisian scene. Their dusty riffs resonate through the underbelly of London and the clandestine bars of Mexico. Every song is made for the stage to ensure bodies, voices, and guitars merge as one. Lol y Los Pícaros move with one foot in the past and the other in the urgency of the present. The project remains a bastion of freedom for those seeking an uncompromising sound.

Out Run Delivers Retro Futuristic Thrills With Their Massive New Debut Album ‘Past Lives’

0

Florence based synthwave project Out Run released their twelve track debut album ‘Past Lives’ today. This collection fuses cinematic textures from the eighties with contemporary production and emotionally charged songwriting. Founded in 2022 by Ginevra Abbarchini and Lawrence Fancelli, the group draws inspiration from the iconic 1986 arcade game that shares their name. The album features a mix of brand new material alongside previous hits like “Monster” and “Hideaway” which earned over one million streams last year. Producer Niccolò Messeri also contributed his expertise to select tracks on this record.

The music explores themes of memory, distance, and emotional survival through a retro futuristic lens. Abbarchini notes that “this album is about the people we were once close to who have now become strangers.” This record is a lush and shimmering journey through neon soaked soundscapes. The songwriter explains that “memories of the past replay in our minds and continue to shape who we are.” Out Run utilizes the Roland Juno 60 to weave dark and dreamy tones into their signature synth heavy arrangements.

The title single “Past Lives” serves as an energetic centerpiece for the project. Fancelli states that “it’s reflective but energizing, a song about memory, loss, and how our past selves continue to influence us.” The sound captures a specific bittersweet tension through pulsating textures and layered melodies. This approach reinvents nostalgia with a modern sensibility that feels both timeless and deeply personal. This record is a gorgeous and immersive triumph of electronic pop.

Out Run cites influences such as Chromatics and Cocteau Twins to create their immersive atmospheric style. The songwriting focuses on moments where love becomes habit and silence grows loud. By combining hypnotic grooves with visual storytelling, the duo establishes a bold international presence in the indie electronic landscape. The album is available now for listeners seeking a cinematic experience that balances past inspiration with forward thinking pop.

The performance features legendary hits including “Jolene,” “Coat Of Many Colors,” and “I Will Always Love You” alongside personal favorites. This innovative symphonic journey is a gorgeous and sweeping celebration of a massive musical legacy. Parton co-produced the project with Schirmer Theatrical and Sony Music Publishing to blend live music with original video content. The show arrives in Nashville after a successful run in cities like Portland, Phoenix, and Kansas City.

Nashville will host several tribute experiences during the Summer of Dolly Parton. The city welcomes the opening of the Songteller Hotel & Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum alongside a new exhibition at the Country Music Hall of Fame. These events coincide with the symphony series to turn downtown Nashville into a celebration of the artist. This engagement represents a significant homecoming for the production following its sold out world premiere.

The residency concludes on July 31, 2026, after nearly two months of performances. This symphonic project emphasizes visual storytelling through the use of curated video footage. Parton leads the narrative from the screen to provide a personal connection to the music. The schedule allows residents and visitors multiple opportunities to witness this unique orchestral event.

Gitika Partington Smashes The World Record By Dropping 13 Albums At Once

0

Gitika Partington just rewrote the record books by releasing thirteen albums simultaneously. This massive collection features 130 original songs written over a five-year period of steady creative practice. The project began as a smaller set of nine records before expanding naturally into this historic achievement. Partington developed these tracks within the iheartsongwritingclub.com community, responding to weekly prompts alongside fellow writers in Brisbane. This body of work moves in chronological order through the first twelve albums, followed by a final collection of songs that nearly escaped the process.

This music functions as an artistic gesture centered on the act of creation for its own sake. The songs offer stories and personal commentary written as messages from the artist to herself. Listeners find themes of returning home and quirky reflections on daily life throughout the expansive tracklist. This output is a vibrant and essential celebration of human creativity. Partington prioritizes the creative process over commercial benchmarks or digital algorithms. This release allows the audience to wander through the music in any order they choose.

Tom Robinson of BBC Radio 6 described Partington as a force of nature during the production of her virtual choir videos. These videos featured the work of community filmmaker Bob Karper and included a notable version of “Video Killed The Radio Star”. The project remains an invitation for others to ignore self-doubt and value their own artistic journey. Partington compares the simultaneous release to setting a huge flock of birds free into the sky all at once. This approach emphasizes that making art is a source of genuine fun.

The songwriter is now collecting handwritten lyrics from 130 participants to create a physical book. Each contributor adds personal creative touches like paintings or doodles to an A4 page featuring one lyric from the project. This endeavor brings the digital songs into a tangible form to celebrate the completion of this cycle. Partington views the release as a way to make room for new music and future ideas. The entire collection is available now for listeners to explore at their own pace and direction.

Polish Heavy Rockers MISSCORE Release New Single And Video “Domino”

0

Towering Polish heavy rockers MISSCORE are back with their breathtaking new single and video “Domino”, out now via DarkTunes Music Group. Hailing from Lubrza, Poland, MISSCORE have been steadily building momentum since solidifying their lineup in 2023. Fronted by the commanding vocals of Natalia Rygiel, the band also features Mateusz Dźwigała on bass and keyboards, Maciej Przybylski on guitars, and Jarek Bielecki on drums. Drawing influence from modern heavyweights such as Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot, and Linkin Park, MISSCORE deliver a powerful modern rock sound infused with electronic textures, crushing riffs, and emotionally charged melodic hooks. The band’s upward trajectory accelerated with the release of their debut full-length album ‘DRᛜWN’ in early 2024, with a rapidly growing reputation as a formidable live act fueling their expanding international fanbase reaching beyond mainland Europe and into the UK. Their latest album ‘Hypocrisy’, released in May 2025 via DarkTunes, marked a bold and uncompromising step forward, showcasing a darker, more mature artistic vision filled with authoritative songwriting and intense vocal performances.

Their new single “Domino” encapsulates MISSCORE’s evolving sound and conceptual depth. Blending modern alternative rock with cinematic darkness, the track captures the tension between emotional collapse and awakening. Vocalist Natalia Rygiel explains, “‘Domino’ was written as a reaction to control disguised as comfort. We recorded it instinctively, chasing tension rather than perfection. The song captures the moment when one small move breaks the illusion, and everything begins to fall around us.” With “Domino”, MISSCORE continue to refine their narrative-driven, emotionally charged sound, signaling the next chapter in their rapidly expanding international journey. With a full schedule of live shows planned for 2026, MISSCORE’s rise on the global rock scene is becoming impossible to ignore.

EverFelt Unleashes Psychedelic Groove Metal Album ‘Stirring To Wake’

0

American psychedelic groove metal upstarts EverFelt have unleashed their most immersive statement yet with the release of their new album ‘Stirring to Wake’, which arrived on December 15, 2025. Thick with hypnotic riffs, swirling atmospheres, and a dark melodic pull, the album channels the spirit of rock’s ancestors while carving a bold, modern path forward. Drawing influence from the brooding weight of Tool, the haunting harmonies of Alice In Chains, the doom-laced swagger of Black Sabbath, and the mind-expanding mystique of The Doors, EverFelt deliver a sound that feels both familiar and dangerously fresh. ‘Stirring to Wake’ doesn’t simply nod to these influences but absorbs them, reshapes them, and pushes them into deeper, heavier territory. The band shares, “Music is the cornerstone of our existence. With ‘Stirring to Wake’, we wanted to capture the haze, the heaviness, and the emotion that lives at the core of who we are—and leave a mark on anyone willing to take the journey with us.”

Formed in the summer of 2022, EverFelt is driven by the haunting vocals and introspective lyricism of Adam Steglich, the expressive and textured guitar work of Corey Robinson, the powerful low-end foundation of Ryan Moore on bass, and the dynamic pulse and color of Danny Furlong on percussion. While their roots span everything from Audioslave and Pink Floyd to Slayer, the band’s identity stands firmly on its own as an intoxicating mix of psychedelic textures, groove-driven heaviness, and melodies that linger long after the final note fades. With ‘Stirring to Wake’, EverFelt deepen their commitment to music that resonates beyond the surface. These are songs meant to sink in slowly, blur the edges, and stay with you. The album was engineered by Shelby Preklas of Loud and Clear Studio, who helped bring clarity, weight, and atmosphere to EverFelt’s evolving sonic vision, striking a balance between raw power and expansive depth. For fans of heavy music with depth, darkness, and soul, this is a trip worth taking.

Paris Paloma Rejects Male Gaze With New Single And Video “Good Girl”

0

Paris Paloma rejects the male fantasy and reclaims her image in her new single and video for “Good Girl”. Directed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Georgie Cowan-Turner and starring actor Richard Armitage, the song and video implore Paris to not be the patriarchy’s “good girl”, offering a reckoning with diet culture, anti-ageing obsession and the need to appeal to the male gaze that’s often imposed on women. Paris explains, “I have been trying for some years now to extricate my relationship with my body from the smug power of patriarchal beauty standards. The belief runs so deep it feels almost biblical: that to be skinny is to be loved, to look young is to be happy, to be shaved is to be sexy; that fighting every natural impulse of your body means you have your life together. Underpinning all of this is the most urgent message of all – that the male gaze is the utmost, desperately important thing to be achieved.” She continues, “It makes me want to kick, scream, writhe, and distort in agony that this culture does not treat women’s bodies as what they are: mammals, animals, human beings. ‘Good Girl’ articulates that kicking and screaming – the refusal of the idea that my body is for consumption or ornamentation. My body is my vehicle through the world.”

“Good Girl” follows the release of “Good Boy”, a razor-sharp track calling out the manosphere and asking for solidarity over submission to the patriarchy. The track features an opening from actress Emma Thompson, with the video directed by Georgie Cowan-Turner and starring actor Tom Blyth. Together, the two tracks open a new chapter for Paris after the release of her critically-lauded 2024 debut album ‘Cacophony’, which today boasts over 1 billion streams. Paris joins Florence + The Machine as a special guest on her UK and EU arena tour starting February 6 in Belfast and wrapping March 9 in Berlin, followed by festival appearances at Hinterland, Rock Werchter and more. This follows a whirlwind year of festival appearances and landmark moments including performing at All Things Go, Glastonbury, Southside, Bergenfest and sold out UK, EU and US runs, plus her recent debut headline Australian tour.

Paris Paloma’s Gold-certified breakout single “labour” became a cultural lightning rod, sparking over 11 billion views across social media and over 530 million streams on Spotify alone. The anthem has fueled viral trends and global movements, soundtracking everything from reproductive rights campaigns on KamalaHQ and anti-sexual violence advocacy in support of Gisele Pelicot to the empowering run like a girl phenomenon. The track’s impact has carried Paris to major stages and screens, including performances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, BBC’s Later…with Jools Holland, and The Kelly Clarkson Show, as well as invitations to support Noah Kahan and Stevie Nicks at Hyde Park in London. In 2024, Paris added to her accolades by performing “The Rider” for The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, joining a legacy of musical icons like Ed Sheeran, Annie Lennox, and Enya who have lent their voices to the Tolkien universe. With “Good Girl” and more new music on the way, Paris continues to be one of the most vital new voices in music, turning personal catharsis into collective power.

Steep Canyon Rangers Release “Heart’s The Only Compass” Featuring Steve Martin

0

Steep Canyon Rangers have revealed “Heart’s the Only Compass” featuring Steve Martin, the third track from their forthcoming 15th studio album ‘Next Act’, out May 22 on Yep Roc Records. Songwriter Graham Sharp explains, “It’s natural to look back at history, especially our personal history, and feel like things turned out in a way that makes perfect sense. After hearing some stories of my grandparents’ younger days and seeing people around me learning about their family history through DNA tests, it struck me just how much of a crapshoot it is. When every daily choice seems monumental, it feels good to think that the generations before us didn’t know what they were doing anymore than we do. And the best you can do is follow your heart.” Recorded by Julian Dreyer at Echo Mountain Recording in Asheville, North Carolina, and produced by Mike Ashworth and Steep Canyon Rangers, ‘Next Act’ represents a return to the band’s bluegrass roots, reclaiming the music that first shaped them while drawing strength from tradition and continuing to write new chapters within it.

The album features guest appearances by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell on “Halfway to Reno” and Celia Woodsmith of Della Mae on “Hard Times”. The previously released title track “Next Act” stands as a stirring anthem of reinvention, showcasing the Rangers’ signature blend of bluegrass and Americana with rootsy storytelling, rich harmony-laden arrangements, and soulful musicianship anchored by Aaron Burdett’s commanding lead vocal. “Circling the Drain”, also previously released, highlights the band’s signature mix of high energy precision and instrumental brilliance. Inspired in part by Barbara Kingsolver’s novel Demon Copperhead, Sharp’s songwriting channels a sense of precarity and forward momentum. In support of ‘Next Act’, the band will embark on a 27-date tour run spanning February through June, bringing their bluegrass sound to theaters, festivals, and performing arts centers across the country. The run includes a series of dates with Steve Martin & Martin Short, a symphonic evening with the Nashville Symphony, and festival appearances including MerleFest, Kerrville Folk Festival, and RockyGrass.
