ALEXSUCKS Hit Full Speed With New Single “Autopilot” And Album Reveal

0

L.A. rock provocateurs ALEXSUCKS tear into 2026 with “Autopilot,” a volatile new single that sharpens their blend of indie-rock immediacy, post-punk tension, and shout-along hooks. The track arrives alongside the announcement of their new album, ‘Autopilot’, due February 20 via Warner Records. Lean, restless, and emotionally charged, the song thrives on momentum, pairing jagged guitars and snap-tight rhythm with a vocal performance that feels both detached and desperate.

Built around loss, confusion, and impulse, “Autopilot” captures the band’s knack for turning spirals into anthems. “If you don’t wanna shoot yourself in the foot, then don’t,” frontman Alex Alvarez says bluntly of the track’s message. The single follows a growing run of buzz-heavy releases including “The Headache,” “Flowers & Dirt” featuring Lola Bllue, and “Worm in the Sun,” each reinforcing the band’s ability to fuse raw feeling with sticky melodies. The response has been loud and enthusiastic, positioning the album as a defining next step rather than a repeat.

To bring the new material to the stage, ALEXSUCKS kick off their headlining autopilot US tour on February 25, running through late March and hitting clubs across the country. The tour follows a breakout year that included standout sets at Lollapalooza and packed rooms internationally, continuing the momentum sparked by their debut album ‘The Gutter’ and the Warm Beers EP. With sweat-soaked shows and a reputation for controlled chaos, the tour promises the band at their most feral and fully locked in.

Keith Wallen Opens 2026 With Reflective New Single “A Thin Line”

0

Keith Wallen begins 2026 with “A Thin Line,” a restrained and emotionally direct new single that places songwriting and vocal presence front and center. Built around gentle acoustic strumming and space to breathe, the track recalls the alt-rock power ballads of the late ’90s, where impact comes from clarity rather than excess. The response has been notably positive, highlighting the song’s quiet weight and the confidence of its simplicity.

“The duality of outcomes from the choices we make could mean the difference between our personal heaven or hell, war or peace, or even life or death,” Wallen says of the song’s meaning. “A Thin Line” follows a steady run of releases over the past year, including “Us Against the World,” “Dead Inside,” a stripped-down cover of Avril Lavigne’s “I’m With You,” and the collaboration “TEETH MARKS” with GORE. vocalist Haley Roughton. Together, the songs underline Wallen’s range and his comfort moving between intimacy and anthem-sized emotion.

Best known as the guitarist for Breaking Benjamin, Wallen is also a prolific collaborator and solo artist whose writing bridges pop instinct and hard rock grit. His solo catalog pulls from ’80s new wave influences like The Police and Depeche Mode alongside the darker textures of ’90s grunge, while his co-writing credits span Saint Asonia, Fuel, We Came As Romans, and Love And Death. Whether onstage with Breaking Benjamin or carving his own path, Wallen’s work is united by honesty, melodic strength, and a clear emotional core.

JYT Step Forward With Confident New Single “Say Less”

0

Rising new boyband JYT (Just Your Type) kicks off 2026 with the release of their sophomore single “Say Less” (produced by Oak Felder (Usher, Kehlani) and Freddy Wexler (Justin Bieber, BlackPink.) The track lives in that sweet spot where nostalgia and newness collide—future-leaning pop that nods to the 2000s without ever losing its modern edge. It’s a confident anthem about instant chemistry and unspoken attraction, delivered with the ease of a group that knows exactly who they are. On the track the boys share: “Say Less’ feels like us leveling up. It’s confident, it’s rhythmic, and it lets us really perform. We’ve been putting everything into the live show, and this song is a big part of showing who we’re becoming.”

This also marks the release of their first official music video. Director and co-choreographer Nick DeMoura shares: “There’s something undeniable about the way JYT moves on this record. The confidence, the precision. They just look incredible. Directing this video was about capturing that energy and letting the performance speak for itself.” Co-choreographer J Blaze shared: “I loved working on the choreography for this record. The guys are incredibly talented and were fully open to pushing themselves throughout rehearsals. They made the process feel effortless, which allowed the choreography to grow naturally and authentically. I’m excited to see what’s next for them. The world isn’t ready.”

In December 2025, JYT signed with Republic Records and GRAMMY-nominated songwriter/producer Freddy Wexler and released their debut single “What U Want.” The track received praise from Billboard, Entertainment Tonight, Music Business Worldwide, and more, and was also added to Sirius Hitbound. The high-energy new boyband are poised to reintroduce dance-driven pop to a global audience. Ages 15-17, members Caden, Tyler, Bryan, Recker, and Toby bring together elite-level choreography, standout vocals, and an undeniable brotherhood that has already earned them a fast-growing online fanbase: over 500K followers combined before releasing a single track. The band was formed through an unconventional process in which the members chose each other, resulting in a group with natural chemistry, complementary personalities, and a shared commitment to performance at the highest level.

Freddy Wexler is an award-winning creator across music, film, television, theater, and animation. A GRAMMY and Golden Globe-nominated songwriter and producer, Wexler has contributed to 11 Billboard #1s for artists including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, BLACKPINK, Laufey, Post Malone, Selena Gomez, Diana Ross, P!nk, Celine Dion, and Billy Joel. Recent highlights include bringing Billy Joel back to the studio for his first new music in decades; co-writing and producing the Golden Globe–nominated end-title song for Better Man, the Robbie Williams biopic; launching Nickelodeon’s Kid Cowboy; coproducing The Last Five Yearson Broadway; serving as the record label for Netflix’s Emily in Paris; and executive producing Sebastian Maniscalco’s Hulu comedy special It Ain’t Right, which debuted at #1 on the platform this month.

Rising British-Sudanese songwriter and vocalist Elmiene announces upcoming UK/EU/US headline tour this Spring. The jaunt will visit 18 cities throughout the United States and Canada, promoted by Live Nation Urban (LNU) coinciding as well as 7 cities throughout United Kingdom and Europe with the upcoming arrival of his anxiously awaited full-length debut album, sounds for someone, on 27th March via Polydor/Def Jam Recordings. Renowned for his spellbinding live performances, Elmiene commands the stage with a stripped-back elegance that is often accompanied only by piano or a full band allowing the raw power of his voice to take center stage. His performances have become moments of discovery, most notably his breakout COLORS session, where one fan remarked, “I’ve never heard of Elmiene before, but 30 seconds into this, I declared myself a fan.” That same magnetic presence carried into his NPR Tiny Desk performance, with Bobby Carter praising “the knockout blow [with Elmiene] is that vintage voice.” From BET dubbing his 2025 BET Awards performance as “moving” and “soul-stirring” to a sold-out show at London’s Brixton Academy, Elmiene has cemented himself a captivating live vocalist of his generation.

The North American tour kicks off on 30th April in Detroit, MI, and comes to a close in the US on 31st May Los Angeles, CA. He will later reignite the UK/EU tour in Amsterdam on 29th Nov and will visit Paris, Berlin, Manchester, Bristol, Brussels, and Manchester markets, ending on the 8th December at London’s Eventim Apollo. Check out the full confirmed itinerary below.

Elmiene kickstarted 2026 with the single “Reclusive.” It has already reacted well with listeners, generating over 1.3M combined streams and 320K YouTube views for the music video, as well as 8M views across Instagram and TikTok. Beyond looks from the likes of Rated R&BThe Line of Best FitClash, and more, TRENCH praised the track’s “twinkling melodies” and “driving rhythm.” SoulBounce professed, “Elmiene sings an anthem for anyone who battles between craving their solitude and wanting to be social.” Watch here.

sounds for someone takes listeners on an emotional rollercoaster through a 2-decade journey of familial ups and downs that has shaped how Elmiene sees the world and also himself. Kicking off with the emotional rollercoaster that is “Moment” – Elmiene invites you right into the room, as he croons about a thankless, formless champion of the downtrodden, with a subtle swing-like lilt that cradles you while setting the stage for an exploration of various highs and lows. The new album hosts features from GRAMMY Award winning singer / songwriter Raphael Saadiq and rising vocalist Baby Rose with production support across the project from Sampha and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman as well as GRAMMY Award winning producers No I.D, Raphael Saadiq, and more.

“Reclusive” is the latest debut behind his most recent single “Cry Against The Wind” marking an emotional turning point in his artistic journey. He recently released his EP titled Heat The Streets Some Mo’  – a remix EP of his highly acclaimed mixtape Heat The Streets – which is receiving playlisting love from BBC Radio 1Xtra and Tune of the Week on BBC Radio 1, a special nod of excitement from notable R&B songstress, Kehlani as well as “Damage Control” making its live performance debut on Apple Music’s The Ebro Show. In addition to the new remix EP, Elmiene delivers brand new track “By Now” – a melodic reflection of trying to move on from a past flame. Most recently, Elmiene was nominated for Outstanding New Artist at The 2026 NAACP Image Awards as well as receiving two nominations for Best R&B/Soul Act and Best Male Act at the 2026 MOBO Awards.

Elmiene’s slew of live shows feels like bucket list accolades: he performed at the BET Awards, played at the Roots Picnic, and supported Stevie Wonder at BST Hyde Park. His iconic NPR Tiny Desk Concert recently surpassed 1 million viewers, and his interview on The Terrell Show found further reverence for Elmiene’s R&B credentials when he impressed viewers by singing Uncle Sam’s “I Don’t Ever Want To See You Again.” Last month, he performed at Spotify’s “RNB X Live” in NYC as well as had his special “Live From” intimate performances in Brooklyn, Toronto, Houston, Charlotte and Atlanta. He has been named an Artist To Watch on a handful of platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, MTV, NME Magazine, The Guardian, BBC and more – and is gearing up to be a top familiar face on the music scene throughout 2026 and beyond.

Erin Osmon Examines Heartland Rock’s Power And Politics In New Book

0

In Won’t Back Down: Heartland Rock and the Fight for America (out April 28, 2026) acclaimed music journalist Erin Osmon takes a deep, clear-eyed look at the music that dominated American airwaves in the 1980s and the cultural forces it reflected and resisted. The book traces the rise of heartland rock from its grassroots origins to its chart-topping peak, unpacking how songs woven into everyday life also carried ideas about identity, power, and belonging. Osmon approaches the genre with curiosity and nuance, balancing affection for the music with a sharp critical lens.

The book revisits landmark works including Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run,” Bob Seger’s “Against the Wind,” John Mellencamp’s “Small Town,” and Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down,” while widening the frame beyond familiar narratives. Osmon foregrounds the contributions of artists often left out of the conversation, including Melissa Etheridge, Bonnie Raitt, and Lucinda Williams, and explores how figures like Prince pushed the genre’s boundaries. The writing has been met with strong enthusiasm for its insight, storytelling, and ability to complicate a well-worn musical myth.

Beyond albums and personalities, Won’t Back Down situates heartland rock within the political and technological shifts of its era. Osmon examines the impact of MTV, the transition to CDs, and the genre’s unexpected role in opposing ’80s conservatism while supporting labor movements, environmental causes, and LGBTQ rights. The result is a layered portrait of music that resonated with people who felt unseen, revealing why heartland rock’s echoes remain so persistent today.

PEEKABOO Expands His World On New Album ‘Are We Dreaming?’

0

Electronic producer PEEKABOO steps into his most fully realized chapter yet with the release of his sophomore album, ‘Are We Dreaming?’. Built during an intense stretch of touring and creative experimentation, the record widens his sonic scope well beyond bass music, weaving together dubstep, UK bass, grime, techno, and melodic elements into a cohesive, deeply personal statement. The album arrives as a bold evolution that still retains the weight and intensity that first defined his sound.

Across the tracklist, PEEKABOO moves confidently between worlds.
