That Time Peter Criss Confronted A Homeless Impostor On The Phil Donahue Show
This might be the weirdest rock story of the ’90s. A homeless man convinced Star magazine he was Kiss drummer Peter Criss. Then Criss had to go on The Phil Donahue Show to clear it all up—face to face.
Rock Trailblazer DE’WAYNE Unveils Emotional Single “sundays” Ahead of Album ‘june’
DE’WAYNE releases the heartfelt and deeply personal track “sundays.” This single will be on his highly anticipated third studio album june set to be released July 30th via Fearless Records.
This synth-heavy, soulful song is one of the most vulnerable tracks off the record as DE’WAYNE breaks down his tumultuous albeit strong relationship with his father.
“When I wrote this song, I wanted to explain the complicated bond between a father and son. One where love and pain, admiration, and resentment all live side by side. It’s about seeing your father as both a hero and a human, flawed and real. In the end, it’s my way of saying; ‘Thank you, Dad-for the good and the bad. You helped make me who I am,'” shares DE’WAYNE.
This is the final single to come out from his new record june which he describes as his epic rock love album. Oozing soul, sex, and style, DE’WAYNE gave this record everything – his blood, sweat, tears, love, spirituality, and truth. It was produced with the help of his best friend Dylan Bauld (formerly flor), and the melodies came to life with the help of Brandon Colbein a true songwriting assassin.
“Every song on this record was a surrender, and ‘June’ is the light guiding it all. I wanted to reframe vulnerability as a superpower, not a weakness, and use this record to show my evolution-not just as an artist, but as a human being,” adds DE’WAYNE.
This announcement follows the release of three other irresistible songs off the record including the title track “june,” the instinctive love song “biological” and the electric anthem “highway robbery.” With his latest release, he continues to establish himself as a fearless trailblazer in rock, fusing genres with raw authenticity.
Brian Dunne Announces New Album ‘Clams Casino’ Out September 5
New York singer-songwriter Brian Dunne announces his fourth solo album Clams Casino will release on September 5 via Missing Piece Records. Self-produced at Dunne’s home in Red Hook, Brooklyn, Clams Casino was inspired by the classic songwriting form of working-class blues placed in an unmistakably modern context.
“Is it so bad to want a good life?” he asks in the opening title track, which releases today. The music video was featured this morning at Rolling Stone, who called the album “an indie-rock, Paul Simon-evoking gem of a record” and said the song “paints a picture of trying to savor little luxuries while struggling to make ends meet.”
Brian Dunne has also announced a fall tour that will take him across the East Coast, with stops in New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Nashville and more.
Brian Dunne on the new single: “I remember seeing the name ‘Clams Casino’ on menus when I’d go out to eat with my parents. It’s kind of an East Coast regional dish that doesn’t really exist anymore-it’s what a working man thinks a rich man eats.” He continues, “The song asks two questions: Why is it so hard to have a good thing? And is it so bad to want a good life? The first verse is a working-class blues, the second is more about shame, and the last is calling myself out for being full of sh*t. Maybe you just want what you don’t have. We all want change, but if we got an invite to the party… we’d probably all just go to the party.”
Clams Casino is the rare rock record that manages to inspire without ignoring the darkness dominating our purview, whose subject matter feels authentically universal yet allergic to cliche, whose characters are equally clever and open-hearted. While the lyrics circle scenes of modern despair, the music is the most uplifting and hard-hitting in Dunne’s catalog. Accompanying himself on nearly all instruments, Dunne sought inspiration from an era of classic rock that tentatively embraced the new wave sound of the late-’70s, incorporating keyboards and synths without delving fully into the digital gloss of the CD era. The resulting album is a burst of energy, a colossal leap forward, and a prolonged moment of direct eye-contact from one of this generation’s sharpest observers of young American life.
Last month, Brian Dunne shared the album’s bittersweet debut single “Play The Hits,” a punchy song about aging and self-destruction built around fatalist drama, which was featured by both Pitchfork and Rolling Stone. Following his acclaimed 2023 solo album Loser on the Ropes, and two word-of-mouth successes from his cult-favorite supergroup Fantastic Cat, Dunne sought to craft a more cohesive statement, based on some of the archetypes he’s observed as a working musician and touring artist. “Loser on the Ropes was about failure,” he reflects, “but there was a fight that was ongoing-which is inherently optimistic. You’re still in the ring.” Now his observations arrive once the final bell has rung and the crowd has wandered home: “The bad guys won. What are we going to do?”
Brian Dunne has shared bills with everyone from Cat Power to Caroline Rose, performed on songs with Lizzie No (“Lagunita”) and Caitlin Rose (“The Kids Are All Grown”), and in 2021 landed an unexpected hit in the Netherlands with his standalone single “New Tattoo,” which led to him performing to an audience of 17,000 at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome. Named on “Best Albums” lists by SPIN and Boston Globe, Loser On The Ropes also garnered attention from Paste, Pitchfork and Rolling Stone, and even led to his solo national television debut on CBS Saturday Morning. Dunne is currently on the road with Fantastic Cat for a summer tour supporting the group’s latest release, Now That’s What I Call Fantastic Cat.

Featuring the five-time GRAMMY-winning modern R&B icon Lalah Hathaway, “AUTOMATIC” anchors its ethereal stacks of dense synthesizer harmonies with a deftly executed snare rhythm that sounds like something Tony Allen would cook up for the drum line.
“AUTOMATIC” is just the latest display of Nate Smith’s remarkably versatile and difficult-to-classify virtuosity. He’s an in-demand collaborator, touring and recording with stars like Brittany Howard, Childish Gambino, Jon Batiste, Norah Jones, and Michael Jackson. Is the Gaming Industry Bigger Than the Movie and Music Combined?
By Mitch Rice
Gaming is now popular among both kids and adults, and it is no longer just an exclusive hobby. Over the last two decades, it has grown into a huge worldwide industry. Is it, in fact, more extensive than movies and music combined? Well, continue to read below, as the answer you receive conclusively will leave you stunned.
The Rise of the Gaming Industry
Games had already started to show promise early in the 2000s. Lately, recent developments in this field have surged dramatically. Due to modern technology, global access to the internet, and smartphones, millions play online games every day.
There are so many choices: console games, mobile games, and online contests. Because so many people enjoy gaming, the industry brings in billions annually.
Numbers Don’t Lie: Comparing Revenues
Data from recent times shows that the global gaming industry is valued at more than $200 billion. It’s more than impressive—it holds the record for that achievement. Now, compare that to the film industry, which makes $40-45 billion a year, and the world music industry, which earns $30-35 billion.
As you can see from the numbers, gaming takes the lead over movies and music combined.
Why Gaming Wins the Popularity Contest
One special thing about gaming is that it allows you to control events in a way movies and music don’t. Learning isn’t something that just happens to us. In video games, players take charge of the game’s speed, direction, and ending.
Because of streaming and multiplayer games, people now enjoy gaming together as a group. People in the gaming world communicate with friends and meet new players, all bonded over similar games.
Engaging with gamers as an active community greatly influences how long they play and how loyal they remain to a game.
The Role of Online Platforms
With online gaming, playing is easier than ever. Now, players can join games from any place using any device without spending a lot on hardware.
Responsive and online sites, such as daman login, draw the attention of users because they include various tempting rewards and prizes that appeal to players of all ages.
Impact of COVID-19 on the Industry
As theaters closed and no concerts were allowed during the Covid-19 lockdown, more individuals started playing video games. When people wanted an interesting way to pass the time at home, gaming stepped up.
Even those who didn’t play video games earlier are enjoying mobile gaming, using consoles, and watching people stream them online.
The Future of Gaming
Because of VR, AR, and cloud gaming, the outlook for the industry is even better than ever. Developers regularly try to improve games so they appear more real, engaging, and emotional.
We’re witnessing cases where famous names from TV, movies, and music join forces with gaming companies to attract more people.
What This Means for Entertainment
Movies and music aren’t dead, even if gaming is dominating. Instead, it illustrates the transition of the way we consume entertainment. The people want to engage, interact, and even help play a role in their overall experience. And the only medium that can do all that and more is gaming.
In conclusion, the gaming industry is larger than the movie and music industries combined. It’s not slowing down, and it’s not going away. Gaming likely will stay the global entertainment leader as technology continues to evolve.

Along with producing mega-hits “Stressed Out” and “Ride,” Blurryface made history by earning a Guinness® World Record for being the first album to notch a RIAA Gold or Platinum certification for every one of its songs. The record has amassed over 15 billion streams and was the #1 rock album of the 2010’s, cementing Twenty One Pilots as one of the most influential modern acts in the genre.

Top Affordable Electric Bikes for Adults Under 1500 in 2025
By Mitch Rice
Sticker shock stops many adults from trying an electric bike. High-end models can push past two thousand dollars, so many riders assume powered travel is out of reach. The good news is that several solid electric bikes for adults now sit under $1500 for 2025.
The picks below mix strong motors, disk brakes, and real-world range without hammering your wallet. A short price snapshot shows how the numbers stack up, then quick notes explain who each bike suits. Whether you want a folding commuter or a long-range ebike, you’ll find an affordable fit here.
Price Snapshot
| Rank | Model | Street Price* | Motor / Battery / Range |
| 1 | Meelod DK300 PLUS | $ 999 | 1200 W • 48 V 20 Ah ≈ 960 Wh • 50–100 mi |
| 2 | Lectric XP 4.0 | $ 999 | 750 W • 499 Wh • 30–50 mi |
| 3 | Ride1Up 700 Series | $ 1 495 | 750 W • 720 Wh • 30–50 mi |
| 4 | Aventon Pace 350.2 | $ 1 299 | 350 W • 417 Wh • 25–40 mi |
| 5 | Velotric Discover 1 Plus | $ 1 299 | 500 W • 672 Wh • up to 65 mi |
| 6 | RadMission 1 | $ 1 199 | 500 W • 504 Wh • 25–45 mi |
How We Picked These Bikes
We set the ceiling at fifteen-hundred dollars and focused on models a new rider can order today without hunting for coupons. To make the short-list we looked for solid speed, safe brakes, and batteries big enough for a real commute instead of spec-sheet hype.
- Kept street prices at or below $1 500.
- Required motors strong enough to hold 20 mph for a 180-lb rider.
- Looked for at least a 25-mile assist range from the stock battery.
- Checked that every bike ships with disc brakes, night lights, and a clear warranty.
- Read owner reviews from 2024-2025 to be sure each pick holds up in daily use.
Meelod DK300 PLUS – Long Mixed-Ride Pick
A dual-motor setup pushes out up to 1 200 W, while a 960 Wh battery keeps the wheels turning for 80–100 miles on assist. Four-inch tires and hydraulic brakes make the DK300 PLUS feel planted on gravel yet calm on paved lanes. At $999, it gives more power and range than many bikes that cost hundreds more. See it in the fat-tire lineup at Meelod’s site.
Stretch Your Budget Further
- Pump tires to the upper half of their rated PSI to cut rolling drag and grab a few extra miles per charge.
- Add a rear rack and soft panniers instead of buying a cargo-frame bike; the upgrade costs under $100 and carries a full grocery load.
- Oil the chain every 150 miles so the motor spins the wheel, not a rusty drivetrain, saving both range and repair bills.
Final Words
Good electric bikes no longer demand a loan. Every model on this list stays under fifteen-hundred dollars yet covers real-world miles with solid brakes and bright lights. The Meelod DK300 Max tops the chart by giving dual-motor pull and long range at the same price many brands charge for a single-motor ride.
Pick the frame that fits your height, keep the tires firm, and charge the battery cool. A quick test ride will show which bike feels right and gets you rolling without stretching your budget.
Do cheaper e-bikes break sooner?
Not if you keep them clean and charge the battery right. Many budget models pass the same safety tests as pricier bikes; most problems come from skipped chain oil and loose bolts.
Can I upgrade the battery later?
Usually yes, as long as the new pack matches the bike’s voltage and fits the mount. Check that the maker or a trusted third-party sells a plug-and-play pack before you buy.
Are budget e-bikes slower on hills?
Some are, but the picks above all have at least 500 W motors that hold 15 mph on a mild climb. Drop to a lower gear and keep a steady cadence to help the motor.
What extras should I buy first?
A bright helmet light, a good lock, and a floor pump with a gauge. These three items protect you, the bike, and the battery range.
