Texas Headhunters Drop Debut Single “Maggie Went Back to Mineola” Ahead of Self-Titled Album

0

Texas Headhunters—the blistering new band uniting Lone Star guitar heroes Ian Moore, Jesse Dayton, and Johnny Moeller—unleash their debut single “Maggie Went Back to Mineola” today, with their full self-titled album Texas Headhunters to follow on August 22 via Hardcharger/Blue Élan Records.

Tracked live at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales Studio over five fire-breathing days, Texas Headhunters strips the paint off the walls: 12 gut-punch tracks, snarling and hard-lived — Texas blues at its coolest and most combustible.

The sessions were engineered and co-produced by Grammy-winning veteran Steve Chadie (Willie Nelson, Los Lonely Boys), whose no-frills approach captured the band’s unfiltered fire—raw, smoky, and as dangerous as a late-night pull of mezcal.

The first taste, “Maggie Went Back to Mineola,” is a Jesse Dayton-penned tale of hard living and harder redemption. “A girl from Mineola goes to Dallas and becomes a stripper,” Dayton says. “She gets into all this stuff, then comes home to work at the Dollar General and try to go to church. That’s Ian on lead.”

Driven by deep-pocket rhythms and barbed guitar licks, “Maggie” channels the same gritty spirit that powered early ZZ Top—bluesy, swaggering, and built to blast from a car radio with the windows down.

The magic is in the mix: Moore’s psychedelic edge, Moeller’s deep-pocket sting, and Dayton’s outlaw grind. All three sing. All three write. All three can burn the house down—but they also know when to lay back and let the groove breathe. It’s a dance, not a duel—and it hits like nothing else on the American roots scene right now.

This summer, Texas Headhunters make their live debut supporting Samantha Fish’s Paper Doll World Tour on a tight run of East Coast preview dates.

An official album release tour will follow in August, September, and October. Expect fireworks.

Texas Headhunters, Ian MooreJesse Dayton, Johnny Moeller, image

Formed by three veterans of the Austin blues explosion—Ian Moore, Jesse Dayton, and Johnny Moeller—Texas Headhunters isn’t a side hustle or a nostalgia act. It’s a statement.

Moore is the genre-bending guitarist who opened for the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan before forging his own soulful path.

Dayton is the Beaumont native who’s split time between punk, outlaw country, horror film scores, and Grammy-nominated modern blues.

Moeller is the secret-weapon guitarist of the Fabulous Thunderbirds and one of the deepest grooves ever to hit Antone’s.

The roots run deep. All three were among the last wave of young guns mentored by Clifford Antone himself—and Texas Headhunters lands fittingly as Antone’s celebrates its 50th anniversary. “We all grew up on that sound,” says Moore. “Tailgators, LeRoi Brothers, T-Birds, Stevie. The blues in Austin was just cool. That’s what we’re feeling here.”

Texas Headhunters isn’t a throwback. It’s a revival. It’s the sound of the real thing kicking the doors open again.

Shinedown Release Piano Version of “Three Six Five” and Bring Arena Energy to Massive ‘Dance, Kid, Dance’ Tour

0

The record-breaking, chart-topping, multi-platinum band Shinedown has released a stripped-down and yet hauntingly beautiful piano version of their quickly rising song “Three Six Five” via Atlantic Records.

The song has already caused quite a stir at radio as it is charting at FOUR radio formats where it has reached #5 at Alternative, #13 at Hot AC, Top 30 at Active Rock, and Top 30 at Mainstream AC radio – not to mention it will be reaching Top 40 radio shortly. The unprecedented rise at radio is, well, preceded by Shinedown themselves as they previously pulled off a similar feat with their song “A Symptom of Being Human.”

This month the band kicked off their “Dance, Kid, Dance” Tour at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. Led by frontman Brent Smith, the band delivered an incredible performance with jaw-dropping production, pyrotechnics, and an absolutely mindblowing setlist. The 36-date tour is one of the largest run of shows (and venues) the band has ever put on. It will be the first time the band has ever headlined some of the country’s most legendary venues including Madison Square Garden (July 20th), Boston’s TD Garden (July 19th), LA’s Kia Forum (August 3rd), New Orleans’ Smoothie King (May 6th), and more. Joining them on the tour are Beartooth and Bush (on select dates) and Morgan Wade for all shows.

Fans were on their feet from the first note as Brent SmithEric Bass, Barry Kerch, and Zach Myers tore through a set packed with highlights. They lit up the crowd with their hit “A Symptom of Being Human,” unveiled the live debut of their brand-new singles “Dance, Kid, Dance,” and “Three Six Five.” They even dusted off a few deep cuts they hadn’t played in nearly a decade, including “Asking for It,” “Burning Bright,” and “Breaking Inside,” plus treated fans to the first-ever live performance of “Thick as Thieves.” The energy was electric all night long, with the crowd belting back every word — especially during the fan-favorite smash “Second Chance” and their soaring cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.”

Recently, Shinedown released an official music video for their #1 song “Dance, Kid, Dance.” The music video, which was filmed in Brooklyn, NY, brings the viewer into a dark underground world of pure rock fervor and dance. The video opens up with concertgoers trying to break into a vending machine to take “the pills (that) will make you dance” and building into a nonstop crescendo of a mixture of rock and pure adrenaline. Not to mention, the video features the members of Shinedown doing exactly what they do best – bringing high energy with a killer live performance.

On the new music video and its creative vision Brent Smith said: “For the video, we really wanted to focus on the dancers. Every one of them brought so much energy to the set, and it was amazing to watch and be a part of. The song doesn’t let up, so it was super important that our performance as a band matched the intensity of the choreography. When it came to the location, everyone agreed that NYC was the place. The backdrop of the city, and the authenticity of the dance culture was extremely important. One of the coolest things about the video for us as a band, is that every time you watch it you see something new, and exciting. We had an absolute blast making it and we hope the fans love it as much as we do.”

The video was directed by Lewis Cater, choreographed by Julissa Bond, and edited by Samuel Halleen.

This year has also come with some historic wins for the band as they recently took home two trophies at the iHeartRadio Music Awards where they won Rock Artist of the Year and Rock Song of the Year for “A Symptom of Being Human.”

The awards were in celebration of the banner year they’ve had as “A Symptom of Being Human” has hit nearly 125 million global streams and charted at five radio formats including a #1 at Active, Top 10 at Alternative, Top 10 at AC, Top 15 at Hot AC and a Top 20 at Top 40. To date, Shinedown is the very first artist to get a song Top 10 at Active, Alternative, and Hot AC Radio on Mediabase with one song. The song, off of their Planet Zero album, resonated with fans across the globe for the unifying message of its lyrics: that it is our human connections that matter the most.

For the tour, Shinedown has teamed up with Musicians On Call  and will be donating $1 for every ticket sold for the tour. As the nation’s leading provider of live music in hospitals, Musicians On Call (MOC) has delivered the healing power of music to patients, families, and caregivers in healthcare environments for 25 years. More than one million people across all 50 states have experienced the joys of live music in the hospital setting through MOC’s bedside, virtual, and streaming programs. MOC Volunteers perform live for children and adults facing any health challenge, including Veterans recovering in VA facilities, family members supporting loved ones in need, and healthcare workers caring for patients. Check out their #ShinedownShares page HERE

Gorillaz Announce ‘House of Kong’ Exhibition and Intimate Live Shows in London

0

This summer, the iconic gates of Kong – the fabled home of Gorillaz – will open for the very first time when a celebratory new exhibition House of Kong comes to London’s Copper Box for a limited run from August 8th to September 3rd 2025. Exhibition tickets are on sale now.

Visitors to House of Kong will take a jaunt behind the curtain of Gorillaz’ extraordinary world. A journey through the band’s life of misadventures, musical innovation and ground-breaking virtual ways since these four outsiders – bassist Murdoc Niccals, singer 2D, drummer Russel Hobbs and guitarist Noodle – first came together to blow up a pre-digital world with the release of “Tomorrow Comes Today” in 2000. An exhibition like no other, House of Kong is an experience for the brave and bold.

Today’s announcement comes with even more exciting news for fans. House of Kong exhibition ticket holders will have exclusive presale access to four very special standalone one-off limited-capacity live Gorillaz shows at Copper Box Arena taking place on August 29th, August 30th, and September 2nd and 3rd. More details on the shows will be announced very soon.

House of Kong will be open from 10:30 am to 10pm daily, from August 8th to September 3rd 2025.

House of Kong exhibition tickets are priced from £25 and are on sale now.

Created by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, singer 2D, bassist Murdoc Niccals, drummer Russel Hobbs and Japanese guitar prodigy Noodle, Gorillaz were formed following a collision of mishaps, meetings and pure luck to seize the title of biggest virtual band in the world with the release of their eponymous debut album Gorillaz in 2001. Based at Kong Studios in West London, the band settled into a life of musical innovation with an extraordinary roster of collaborators, a list that includes musical legends, geniuses and future stars from Elton John to Little Simz, MF DOOM to Jean-Michel Jarre, Grace Jones to Bad Bunny, Kali Uchis to Sidiki Diabaté, plus so many more. Gorillaz is a truly global phenomenon, achieving success in entirely new and unique ways, touring the world and winning numerous awards including the coveted Jim Henson Creativity Honor, along the way. The band is recognised by The Guinness Book Of World Records as the planet’s Most Successful Virtual Act

The band has released eight studio albums: Gorillaz (2001), Demon Days (2005), Plastic Beach (2010), The Fall (2011), Humanz (2017), The Now Now (2018), Song Machine: Season One – Strange Timez (2020) and Cracker Island (2023).

Insurance Management in Co-Owned Commercial Properties

0

By Mitch Rice

Co-owning a commercial property is common, especially for investment reasons. Whether two business partners are purchasing a store unit or several companies are sharing an office, proper insurance management is critical. Unlike residential coverage, commercial property insurance is more complicated, especially in cases with several owners. To prevent legal or financial problems later on, the approach to insurance must be definitively agreed upon. With emphasis on responsibilities, policy structure, cost sharing, and claims, this article describes how co-owned commercial assets normally manage insurance. For more information on commercial property insurance, visit https://www.quoteradar.co.uk/commercial-property-insurance/.

Responsibility For Arranging Insurance:

First and foremost, you need to determine who will organize the insurance. In co-ownership scenarios, this could be either one of the owners or a third party—such as a property manager or management agent. In some situations, the ownership structure could already dictate who bears responsibility. For instance, a co-ownership agreement or deed of trust might designate one party to manage all property—including insurance-related matters.

Still, if the contract is silent on this issue, the co-owners must make a clear written choice. Not being clear could cause insurance or coverage gaps that could be fatal in the case of a loss event. When one party leads, they must ensure the policy reflects all co-owners interests and covers the whole property. This involves ensuring all names are in the policy (if required) and that every party knows the terms. If you are looking for the right insurance policy, get the services of comparison tool of https://www.quoteradar.co.uk/ and select the right one for you.

What Should the Policy Cover?

Insurance should cover the structure itself—walls, roof, windows—and common areas such as elevators or staircases. It should also consider reinstatement costs—that is, the expense of reconstructing the property if it is lost or damaged. The policy should also cover:

  • Public liability – in the case of someone getting hurt on the asset.
  • Employers’ liability – if the staff works on site.
  • Loss of rent – if the property is rented and rendered unusable.

Depending on the property’s usage, optional extras could include cover for legal costs or fixtures and fittings.

Sharing the Expenses of Insurance:

The premium has to be paid once the policy is in force. In co-ownership arrangements, this expense is usually split amongst the owners. The division relies on the agreement between the parties and the ownership structure. Most often, the premium is divided based on the ownership percentage. For instance, if one party owned 60% and another 40%, they would have to pay the insurance in the same ratio.

Alternatively, the cost could be split according to how much space each owner occupies or utilizes inside the property. If their involvement and usage are comparable, some co-owners could decide to divide the cost equally. By whatever means, clearly documenting in writing helps to avoid conflicts. A legal or co-ownership agreement can define the cost-sharing arrangement and what occurs if someone refuses or cannot pay their portion.

Claims And Controversies:

Should damage happen and a claim is needed, all co-owners should be involved. Typically, the insurer will work with the person or organization listed as the primary contact on the policy; however, all named co-owners have a right to know the claim’s status and how the money will be used. Unless otherwise agreed, the funds should be used to restore or rebuild the property in case of a successful claim.

One co-owner’s disagreement with the claim procedure or how the money should be used might lead to arguments. An explicit agreement helps one to handle these situations more readily. For instance, should a roof need storm damage, one party wants a simple repair while the other insists on a complete replacement; the insurance payout might not be sufficient for both. A written contract might offer guidelines for such choices.

One party could refuse to contribute to the premium, creating another danger. The insurer may terminate the policy or deny payout in case of a claim if the whole premium is not paid. All owners are left exposed to risk this way. From the start, clear responsibilities and honest communication are therefore crucial.

How to Turn an Ordinary Evening into a Travel Highlight

0

By Mitch Rice

Travel days can be full of excitement—from early wake-ups and exploring historic sights to hiking trails and tasting local food. But when the sun sets and the sightseeing winds down, many travelers are left wondering: What now? Do you head back to the hotel and call it a night, or is there something more out there?

In Branson, MO, the fun doesn’t stop when the daylight fades. In fact, this lively destination has built its reputation on keeping things interesting well into the night. The city has something for everyone, from music-filled performances and family-friendly shows to unique shops and late-night treats. It’s the kind of place where couples, families, and solo travelers alike can find something unexpected and exciting.

This article will help you turn your vacation evenings from ordinary to extraordinary.

Take a Scenic Sunset Walk or Lookout Drive

Catching a sunset while you’re traveling is one of the easiest and most peaceful ways to make the most of your time. Find a nearby trail, lakefront, or scenic overlook. You don’t need to plan anything too complicated—just a good view and a little time to enjoy it. It’s perfect for photos, quiet conversation, or reflecting on the highlights of your day. Plus, most sunset spots are free and easy to access.

Visit a Dinner Show

Sitting down for dinner is standard when you’re away from home, but why not take it up a notch? Dining experiences that include live shows, music, or themed entertainment turn a simple meal into an exciting night out. When you visit Branson, you must not miss Dolly Parton’s Stampede. The show features 32 beautiful horses, musical productions, talented trick riders, and a lot more, along with a four-course family feast. Branson MO tickets can be booked online without any hassle. This entertaining experience is ideal for groups, couples, or families looking to enjoy something truly different.

Catch an Outdoor Movie or Pop-Up Theater Event

Outdoor movies and pop-up shows bring the community together in a relaxed, enjoyable setting. Bring a chair or blanket, grab a snack, and settle in for a low-key but memorable experience. These events are often family-friendly and offer a nice break from more crowded activities.

Explore Local Night Markets

If you’re lucky enough to be somewhere with night markets, don’t skip them. They offer a great mix of culture and fun—all in one place. You can sample local snacks, browse handmade items, and experience the area from a different angle. These markets are usually budget-friendly and casual, making them great for last-minute plans or spontaneous evenings out.

Join a Nighttime Guided Tour

Some of the best stories come out after dark. A guided walk or tour can introduce you to a city’s hidden past, spooky legends, or lesser-known landmarks. Whether it’s history or mystery, these tours are a great way to end the day with something new.

Join a Creative Workshop or Craft Class

Many cities offer evening workshops where you can learn something new—like pottery, painting, photography, or local crafts. These hands-on sessions are a great way to connect with local culture while trying out a fun activity. You don’t need to be an expert—just curious and open to learning. Whether you leave with a handmade souvenir or just the memory of a new skill, these experiences often end up being unexpected highlights of a trip. They’re ideal for travelers looking to do more than just observe.

Sign Up for a Cultural or Art Event

If you enjoy art, music, or cultural performances, many towns and cities offer events that begin later in the day. This could be a gallery opening, a folk music show, or a local theatre production. These events often highlight what makes a place special and are usually more affordable than big productions. Attending something creative supports local talent and adds a deeper layer to your trip. It turns your night into something that’s both fun and meaningful.

Explore a Local Bookstore or Late-Night Gallery

Not every night needs to be high-energy to be memorable. Visiting a local bookstore, art gallery, or community space that stays open late can be a quiet but inspiring way to spend time. These places often showcase regional authors, artists, or history, offering a more thoughtful experience. You can browse shelves, discover local creativity, or simply enjoy the calm atmosphere. It’s perfect for solo travelers or anyone looking to wind down while still soaking up something unique to the area.

Create a DIY Picnic Under the Stars

You don’t always need an event or venue to enjoy the night. Head to a local grocery store, grab some easy-to-carry food, and find a quiet park or overlook. A blanket, good company, and a starry sky can create one of your trip’s simplest but most memorable nights. This option is great for those who want something peaceful, inexpensive, and personal. It’s also flexible—you can do it early, late, or somewhere in between other plans.

Leave Room for the Unexpected

Some of the best travel memories come from unplanned moments. That local band you stumbled upon? The small café with open mic night? The street performance you didn’t expect? All of these can turn an average night into something you’ll always remember. So don’t overbook your schedule. Be open to recommendations from locals or fellow travelers, and allow yourself to explore freely. The night doesn’t have to be perfect to be unforgettable.

Nights on the road can be more than just downtime. With a little planning—or just the right amount of spontaneity—you can turn a regular night into one of the most special parts of your trip. Whether you choose live entertainment, food tours, quiet stargazing, or a local event, there are plenty of ways to make the hours after sunset count. Add something unique to your itinerary, and you’ll go home with stories that stand out. Travel isn’t just about where you go—it’s about how you spend your time while you’re there.

“This song doubles down and follows up on the last 10 nine lives we dropped, can’t seem to let go of the little things in this big world, it’s nothing more than sensational!” shares Jon Mess.

Adds Andrew Wells: “In a world of modernity plagued by information overload, hearsay, and conspiracy; how far down does the rabbit hole go? All the way down.”

Metal Injection said, “…Welcome To Rockville 2025 delivered a searing lineup that more than matched the Florida scorching sun’s intensity. From sweat-drenched circle pits to euphoric sing-alongs echoing across the Speedway, this year’s edition was a masterclass in controlled chaos – equal parts grit, glory, and good times. If this is what the inferno feels like, count us in for next year’s burn.”

Daytona Beach News-Journal noted, “In the marathon battle between heat and heavy metal, rock ‘n’ roll prevailed as Welcome To Rockville roared through four days of music from more than 150 bands…”

WPEC-TV (CBS 12) added, “Shinedown closed out Day 1 of Rockville 2025 with an explosive, high-energy performance that lit up the night sky — literally. Fireworks, pyro, and a roaring sea of fans turned the Apex Stage into ground zero for one of the most electric headlining sets in Rockville history.”

Chris Stapleton Joins F1 THE ALBUM With “Bad As I Used To Be” Ahead of High-Octane Film Release

Atlantic Records has raised the flag on the newest track from F1 THE ALBUM, the supercharged, star-studded musical companion to Apple Original Films’ high-octane, action-packed feature F1 THE MOVIE, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick). Eleven-time Grammy Award–winning Chris Stapleton officially enters the race with “Bad As I Used To Be,” available now. F1 THE ALBUM is available for pre-order here and arrives in stores and at all online retailers on Friday, June 27, coinciding with the film’s theatrical release, distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.

“Bad As I Used To Be” joins a lineup of adrenaline-charged singles that began with Grammy-nominated producer/DJ Dom Dolla’s “No Room For A Saint” (featuring Nathan Nicholson), followed by global pop icon ROSÉ’s cinematic ballad “Messy,” and the revved-up lead single “Lose My Mind” from multi-platinum Houston rapper and singer-songwriter Don Toliver (Cactus Jack recording artist), featuring Grammy-winning, multi-platinum star Doja Cat. Marking his first soundtrack release, “No Room For A Saint” was lauded by Billboard as a “speed demon of a track… slick and muscular, giving an ’80s vibe” in their “Best New Tracks” roundup. “Messy,” produced by Lostboy & Burns, premiered alongside an official music video starring ROSÉ, with exclusive film footage of Brad Pitt and Kerry Condon, and was hailed by Billboard as “a cinematic love ballad” in their “Must-Hear Releases” column. Watch the official video that shut down the Las Vegas Strip here. Produced by Ryan Tedder, “Lose My Mind”—which samples Hans Zimmer’s Oscar-winning “F1 Movie Theme”—arrived with an electrifying video here, prompting Rolling Stone to call it “the film soundtrack of the year” and Billboard to praise it as “a shimmering, synth-drenched club track that showcases Don Toliver’s silky melodic streak and Doja Cat’s chest-thumping rhyming.” Together, these three singles have already amassed over 100 million global audio streams and video views.

Dom Dolla, ROSÉ, and Don Toliver were among the soundtrack stars who attended an immersive F1 THE ALBUM activation at the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2025. Hosted in a private VIP paddock adjacent to the official team garages, the experience brought the film’s fictional APXGP team to life with interactive games, racing simulators, memorabilia, and an exclusive album preview. Guests included Kerry Condon, Jerry Bruckheimer, Tiësto, Sexyy Red, Roddy Ricch, Myke Towers, and Burna Boy. In a first-ever tribute, Formula 1 drivers’ names on the garages were replaced with those of the album’s featured artists. The launch culminated when Grammy Award–winning icon Tiësto made F1 history by headlining performances from the grid bridge moments before the formation lap and from the podium after the race—capping off a truly momentous weekend.

From the label behind blockbuster soundtracks like Barbie The Album, Twisters: The Album, The Greatest Showman, and Suicide Squad, F1 THE ALBUM will feature massive new tracks from an unprecedented lineup, including Ed Sheeran, Tate McRae, RAYE, Burna Boy, Roddy Ricch, Chris Stapleton, Tiësto, Sexyy Red, Myke Towers, Madison Beer, Peggy Gou, and more. See below for the full track listing.

Kentucky-born Chris Stapleton is an eleven-time Grammy, nineteen-time CMA, and twenty-one-time ACM Award-winner and one of country music’s most respected artists. Recently honored as ACM Male Artist of the Year and Grammy Best Country Solo Performance for “It Takes A Woman,” Stapleton’s album Higher features breakout hits “White Horse” and “Think I’m In Love With You.” Rolling Stone praises his voice as “dazzling,” and The New Yorker lauds him as “the rare country star with both traditional bona fides and broad commercial appeal.” Known for electrifying live performances, he continues his “All-American Road Show” this summer, including two nights at Madison Square Garden, and has collaborated with Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Slash, George Strait, Adele, Taylor Swift, and more. Stapleton and his wife, Morgane, co-founded the Outlaw State of Kind charitable fund, supporting causes close to their hearts.
