Through Pantone’s work with the band, “Grateful Red” and “Stealie Blue” have been officially inked into culture, bringing the lexicon of Dead Heads into the universal language of color. As part of the collaboration, Pantone celebrates their first ever official merch collection featuring Grateful Red Steal Your Face Stealie Blue T-Shirt, Grateful Dead Pantone Hoodie, Grateful Dead Pantone Mug alongside a few more items. Fans can check out the collection here.

“We’re thrilled to unveil the official Grateful Dead Steal Your Face trademark colors. These iconic shades are instantly recognizable and deeply tied to the band’s identity, making it an honor to see the Grateful Dead officially represented by Pantone.” – Mark Pinkus, President, Rhino Entertainment

“The Grateful Dead’s visual iconography is unmatched in the music world. The Dead’s Steal Your Face logo is their most recognizable icon, with three equally essential key elements: the 13-point lightning bolt, and the two colours, red and blue, that make up the logo’s primary design elements. These shades of red and blue are uniquely and identifiably Grateful Dead icons on their own. To now have two pantone colours immortalizing these shades of red and blue as the official colours of the Grateful Dead is a huge honour.” – David Lemieux, Grateful Dead Legacy Manager and Archivist

“Just like the music of the iconic Grateful Dead, color can evoke emotions and feelings that can engulf you into a different world. Memorializing and standardizing the iconic colors that showcase the band’s originality and ensuring their legacy lives on through a visual language, is both meaningful and inspiring and we are proud to be a part of it.” – Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute

The unveiling of “Grateful Red” and “Stealie Blue” mark the latest in a series of celebrations to honor the Grateful Dead’s 60th Anniversary in 2025. The release of the band’s first official greatest hits compilation, Gratest Hits, brings together some of the many songs that continue to unite generations. A sweeping new 60-CD collection, Enjoying The Ride, maps an epic cross-country road trip along the “Heady Highway,” with stops at 20 storied venues where the music, moment and magic of the Grateful Dead converged, while a 6LP/3CD collection, The Music Never Stopped, offers a briefer, but no less illuminating, journey through the live shows that shaped the band. The partnership with Pantone also follows recent collaborations with Loewe, Vineyard Vines, Dogfish Head, Retrospec, NBA, Knockaround and others in recent months, with more to be announced soon.

The Grateful Dead announce a new partnership with Pantone, the global color authority and provider of professional color language standards and digital solutions for the design community, to reveal the creation of “Grateful Red” and “Stealie Blue”: two colors that have been synonymous with the band for the past 60 years, and now immortalized as part of their ever-growing legacy. The colors were scanned from an original pressing of the Bear’s Choice album, which was the first time the stealie was used on an official Grateful Dead release. From the quintessential Steal Your Face logo, to the epochal swirls of tie-dye that have brightened the crowds at a record-setting 2,318 concerts, to the world of iconography and hundreds of collaborations that have defined the last six decades, these two distinct hues are woven into the fabric of the Grateful Dead’s flourishing fandom, community and catalog.

Bob James And Dave Koz Revisit “Sunny Side Of The Street” Together

0

Bob James and Dave Koz release an acoustic rendition of “Sunny Side Of The Street,” bringing a nearly century-old standard into a stripped-back, digital-first setting. The recording features only piano and saxophone and previously appeared as a bonus track on the CD edition of their 2025 duets album ‘Just Us,’ which began as a small living-room collaboration before expanding into a full-length release. The pair marked the album’s arrival with a performance at the GRAMMY Museum and a short run of live dates.

Originally written in 1930 by Jimmy McHugh and Dorothy Fields, “Sunny Side Of The Street” has been interpreted by artists including Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Dave Brubeck. James and Koz’s version stays intentionally minimal, aligning with the approach of ‘Just Us,’ which was recorded live without overdubs. A televised special filmed at their sold-out May 2025 performance at Myron’s at The Smith Center in Las Vegas is scheduled to premiere on Vegas PBS, with additional broadcast airings throughout the week.

Tyce Delk Keeps It Simple And True On “As Long As I Got You”

0

Tyce Delk releases “As Long As I Got You,” a straight-ahead country love song built on warmth, ease, and the idea that everything feels lighter with the right person close. Written shortly after his marriage, the track leans into classic country sentiment, framing commitment as a source of confidence and momentum rather than complication. Delk describes the song as a feel-good reflection meant to bring listeners back to the person who anchors their world.

The single follows a strong early run for Delk, whose debut release “Adaline” surpassed one million streams in its first week and introduced his blues-tinged vocal style. Raised in Eastern New Mexico as a fourth-generation farmer and rancher, Delk’s songwriting draws directly from family history, rural tradition, and the musical influences passed down through generations, grounding his growing catalog in lived experience.

My Morning Jacket celebrate two decades of ‘Z’ with the release of ‘Z 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition,’ newly remastered from the original master tapes by GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Emily Lazar. The expanded edition is available digitally, on CD, and as a three-LP vinyl set pressed on pink, coral, and blue-colored vinyl, featuring 14 bonus tracks drawn from outtakes, demos, film work, and previously unreleased recordings from the era.

The release is accompanied by a new official video for “Wordless Chorus,” directed by Sam Erickson, and a Rolling Stone podcast conversation in which Jim James reflects on the album’s creation. Earlier previews from the deluxe edition include “Where To Begin,” written for Cameron Crowe’s film ‘Elizabethtown,’ and the previously unreleased track “The Devil’s Peanut Butter,” offering additional insight into the band’s creative momentum during that period.

To bring the anniversary to the stage, My Morning Jacket have scheduled five special performances where ‘Z’ will be played in full as part of the second leg of their MY MORNING JACKET “is” ON TOUR. These shows take place at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Brooklyn Paramount in New York, The Salt Shed in Chicago, and Fox Theatre in Atlanta, with tickets currently on sale.

The celebration continues with the band’s return to Austin City Limits on October 18 for a special hour-long episode honoring their induction into the ACL Hall of Fame, presented by Cameron Crowe, with the performance premiering on YouTube and the PBS App on October 7. Originally released October 4, 2005, ‘Z’ was co-produced by John Leckie and marked the debut of the band’s current lineup, later earning recognition from Rolling Stone as one of ‘The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.’

Gabby Barrett Shares New Single “Ain’t Supposed To Be”

0

Gabby Barrett releases “Ain’t Supposed To Be” out now via Warner Music Nashville, continuing a focused creative stretch defined by emotional directness and cinematic scope. Co-written with Jon Nite, Ross Copperman, and Chase McGill, the song traces the meeting of two restless lives in an unexpected place, unfolding through vivid detail and restraint before opening into a chorus shaped by harmony and reflection. The track follows “The Easy Part” and reconnects with the emotional intensity that first introduced Barrett as a storyteller unafraid of weight and honesty.

Produced by Ross Copperman and Zach Kale, “Ain’t Supposed To Be” leans on piano, guitar, and space, giving Barrett’s vocal room to move between intimacy and resolve. The song builds patiently, letting imagery and melody carry the narrative without rush. It stands as another clear marker of where Barrett’s songwriting is headed, grounded in lived feeling and delivered with control, range, and conviction.
