Dasha Teams With David Guetta for High-Energy “Not At This Party” Remix

0

Following up an electric performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, RIAA 40x Platinum-certified pop-country sensation Dasha turns up the heat and kickstarts summer with a brand new David Guetta Remix of her rapidly rising single “Not At This Party” out now via Warner Records. It marks her first collaboration with the two-time GRAMMY Award-winning superstar artist, producer, and DJ.

Guetta adds an entirely new dimension to “Not At This Party.” The fusion of his top-tier production and Dasha’s powerhouse vocals is a perfect storm for the dancefloor. Bursting with energy, the tempo surges forward with an irresistible beat, electrified by neon synths and a slick, pulsing bassline. With every clap, the hook lands even harder. This remix is tailor-made to light up clubs, pool parties, and festivals this summer, while still preserving the original’s signature grit and bold spirit.

This is Dasha like you’ve never heard her before! In a superstar-making turn of events, she recently lit up the Mane Stage at Stagecoach Festival, receiving unanimous acclaim and making headlines in the process. Blown away, GLAMOUR declared, “Her childlike excitement was contagious, the ecstasy of a performer finding her audience, and the crowd roared.” Echoing this enthusiasm, PAPER proclaimed, “The rising country star made a big splash at Stagecoach,” going on to affirm, “Like previous performances, Dasha and her dancers captivated the audience of old and new fans alike.” Beyond recent interviews with Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, People, and more, she spoke to Billboard about the performance on the ACM Awards red carpet.

In 2024, the singer landed coveted spots at country music meccas, Stagecoach, Austin City Limits, CMT Awards and CMA Fest. Her year didn’t stop there, though. She sold-out her first global headlining tour, Dashville USA, and performed on two of the biggest televised broadcasts of the year – Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve. “Austin (Boots Stopped Workin’)” went on to become one of the most-streamed country songs in 2024 and won the People’s Choice Country Award for Female Song of the Year.

Next up, she embarks on tour with Thomas Rhett and Kane Brown with several international dates, including Capital Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium. A full routing can be found below.

Monsters of Rock Cruise 2026 Sets Sail With 35+ Acts Including Black Label Society, Queensrÿche, and Lita Ford

0

The annual Monsters of Rock Cruise (MORC), the world’s premier hard rock and heavy metal fan immersive music cruise sailing the high seas since 2012, is returning for its fourteenth year.

Promoter On the Blue Cruises, Inc. has announced the five-day/five-night full-ship music charter will set sail April 12-17, 2026 aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Joy and depart from the Port of Miami, Florida. The voyage will include performances from over 35 artists on multiple stages, two unforgettable ports of call (Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas), photo experiences with artists, theme nights, and special events with the world’s best rock community.

The lineup for MORC ’26 includes Black Label Society, Night Ranger, The Darkness, Queensrÿche, Stryper, Symphony X, Y&T, Slaughter, Steven Adler of Guns N’ Roses, D-A-D, Great White, Lita Ford, Quiet Riot, The Almighty, British Lion, Nelson, Vixen, Loudness, Crazy Lixx, The Quireboys, Dangerous Toys, Killer Dwarfs, Ellefson-Soto, Soto, Soto/Bieler, Steelheart, Nestor, Heavens Edge, Crashdïet, Black ‘N Blue, Vain, Tuff, Cassidy Paris, Spread Eagle, Paradise Kitty, Enuff Z’Nuff, TNT, Faster Pussycat, and Stone Whiskey, with more to be announced.

In addition to performances, MORC ‘26 will host a variety of interactive events between artists and cruisers, including Artist/Cruiser Q&A sessions, Gong Show Karaoke, “So You Think You Can Shred,” Cooking with Rock Stars, a new cast of Painting with Rock Stars, Comedy Punchlines and Backlines, with more to be announced.

For the second time in MORC history, attendees will sail aboard Norwegian Joy, one of Norwegian Cruise Line’s most stunning cruise ships in their fleet. Offering several decks full of amazing shops, an array of complimentary and specialty restaurants, and entertainment, the ship also features a variety of staterooms, vibrant décor inspired by legendary music venues, and the Thermal Suite at the Mandara Spa ‒ all dedicated to relaxation and rejuvenation. Zoom into fantastic vistas along the Norwegian Joy Speedway, an actual onboard two-level racetrack, which is the first ever of its kind at sea and just one of the ways the ship is custom-built to let the outside in. Enjoy a new favorite cocktail and 180-degree panoramic views in the Observation Lounge and savor fresh sea breezes and dining under the stars along The Waterfront. From mouth-watering ribs at Q Texas Smokehouse to a juicy ribeye cooked to perfection at Cagney’s Steakhouse, there’s something for everyone on board. Click here for a full list of things to do on the ship, as well as photos, deck plans, and more.

The first stop on MORC ‘26 is the breath-taking beauty that is Puerto Plata. Dominican Republic’s oldest city in the north and a tourism pioneer, Puerto Plata is nestled by the ocean with a mountainous backdrop. The city offers a lively pier (known as the Malecon), colorful shops, and opulent homes from the 1800s. Whether you prefer to spend the day traveling 2,600 feet above sea level in a cable car or hike majestic trails – both options are available if you choose to visit Monte Isabel de Torres. If the ocean is calling your name, visit Sousa Beach where you can sunbathe, swim, snorkel, or grab a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant. For those who want to experience the culture of the Dominican Republic, consider staying in town to explore the unique architecture, enjoy delicious Dominican cuisine, or shop for keepsakes to remind you of the amazing experiences you had in Puerto Plata.

Located in the Berry Island chain of the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay is a 250-acre idyllic private island that is getting a full-blown, rock-star level upgrade just in time for MORC 2026. Unwind on white-sand beaches and enjoy the many ways to explore paradise. Snorkel with sea turtles and colorful fish in warm turquoise waters. Peacefully glide along the coastline in a kayak, ride a WaveRunner, swim with sting rays or pigs, or soar high into the sky as you zipline across the island. Craft your own delicious taco at the complimentary Abaco Taco, while sipping on a refreshing drink. Do it all – or nothing at all – the choice is yours. Click here for a full list of shore excursions and watch a video tour of Great Stirrup Cay below. For a first peek at the island’s transformation, set to debut this December, click here.

Cabins are on sale now starting at $2,699.00 per person (double occupancy, not including mandatory taxes and fee supplement) and available here.

5 Surprising Facts About Aaliyah’s ‘One in a Million’

Aaliyah’s One in a Million as a revolution in slow motion in just her second album. Dropping in August 13, 1996, it turned Timbaland and Missy Elliott from fresh faces into household names and flipped the script on what R&B could sound like. But beyond the beats, the vocals, and the undeniable vibes, this album is full of hidden gems and untold stories. Here are five facts about One in a Million that’ll blow your mind and have you hitting play all over again.

1. Timbaland’s Crickets Almost Got Exterminated
Before they became iconic, those ambient cricket sounds on “One in a Million” nearly got the whole track shelved. Radio programmers weren’t ready—they complained the song couldn’t “blend in” with anything on the air. One exec even refused to play it, saying “I’m not spinning anything with bugs.” Atlantic Records wanted a remix. Aaliyah’s team? They locked down the master tapes and dared anyone to touch the mix. Good thing, because that triple-time beat ended up changing R&B forever.

2. Missy Elliott Wrote Hooks Like Bars
Missy was known as a rapper first, so when she started writing for singers, she wrote hooks like rhymes. That’s why Aaliyah’s melodies feel like flow. Missy even admitted she wasn’t sure if Aaliyah would vibe with it—but Aaliyah heard something special. That staccato, half-sung, half-rapped cadence? It became the future of pop and R&B songwriting. What Missy brought to the table wasn’t polished—it was prophetic.

3. Puff Daddy Was Almost the Album’s Architect
Before Timbo and Missy were locked in, Aaliyah hit the studio with Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs. But the energy didn’t click. Combs left the project, and Aaliyah pivoted fast—linking with a young Timbaland and Missy Elliott, then unknown outside the industry. The rest is history. Puff dipped. Aaliyah doubled down. And the result was a sound no one had ever heard before. Let that be a lesson in trusting your gut.

4. Slick Rick Spit His Verse on Work Release
On Aaliyah’s cover of Marvin Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up,” you’ll hear none other than Slick Rick. What you might not know is Rick was on work release from jail when he laid down his vocals. His unmistakable delivery floated perfectly over Aaliyah’s whispery falsetto, turning a throwback into a future classic. Aaliyah’s instincts were spot-on again—blending generations, genres, and even parole logistics into musical magic.

5. Japan Got a Hidden Aaliyah Writing Credit
Fans in Japan were gifted with an exclusive One in a Million track called “No Days Go By.” What makes it extra special? It’s the only song on the album where Aaliyah received a co-writing credit. She helped craft the lyrics and arrange the vocals, revealing her artistic hand beyond the mic. If you haven’t heard it, do yourself a favor and hunt it down. It’s the kind of deep cut that shows how invested Aaliyah was in shaping her own voice—literally and figuratively.

From its bold sonic palette to its backstage shakeups, this record redefined what R&B sounded like—and who had the right to make it. Aaliyah trusted her taste, embraced the unknown, and set the culture on a whole new path. Nearly 30 years later, we’re still catching up. Long live Baby Girl.

I Prevail Drop “Violent Nature” and Usher In New Heavy Era

0

Grammy-nominated rock band I Prevail returns with their new single “Violent Nature” out now via Fearless Records. With it, they released a gripping music video mirroring the song’s fast-paced, infectious energy.

It’s an unrelenting, raw track fueled by the band’s sheer power and dynamic musicianship-standing as one of the heaviest songs they have ever released. Fans can expect heightened intensity from the band as they usher in a powerful new era of music.

Frontman Eric Vanlerberghe shared his thoughts on the track, “Aggressive, fast, and heavy. All packed into 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Turn it up and put your head through the f***ing wall.”

I Prevail is no stranger to pushing boundaries. This group has found great success with previous records over the past decade including their first album Lifelines that achieved gold status in both the US and Canada.

2019’s TRAUMA repeated that accomplishment in Canada just a few years later and was nominated for Best Rock Album at that year’s Grammys, with their single “Bow Down” also a contender for Best Metal Performance. 2022’s TRUE POWER saw the band continue to forge their own musical path, refusing to conform to the expectations of the genre, and instead demonstrating just how much of a tour de force I Prevail’s music is.

Now the band embarks on a new chapter with the release of “Violent Nature,” a song born from battling their personal demons and the turmoil brewing beneath the surface. They are on a mission to redefine heavy music on their own terms and remind the world why they are one of the most vital forces in modern metal.

Ronnie Romero Releases ‘Live At Rock Imperium Festival’ Featuring “Crossroad” and “Rainbow in the Dark”

0

Ronnie Romero is thrilled to announce the release of his new album, ‘Live At Rock Imperium Festival,’ which is out now via Frontiers Music Srl. In addition, Romero also shares a fresh track from the album titled “Crossroad.”

‘Live At Rock Imperium Festival’ sees ROMERO delivering an impressive musical performance in front of a huge, passionate audience, in one of the biggest European festivals, the Spanish Rock Imperium Festival, including songs from the first solo and some other highlights like the Dio cover “Rainbow In The Dark.”

ROMERO comments on the focus: “A very special and unexpected song we added to the album back in 2023, we were missing a track, and Jose Rubio came with this bluesy riff, so the songwriting was totally improvised! Anyway, this song became a fav for the audience in the shows!!”

The tracklist for ‘Live At Rock Imperium Festival’ is mostly based on Ronnie’s latest solo album ‘Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters,’ which marks the first time that Romero has been involved with 100% of the songwriting on an album he sings on.

Romero also co-produced the album with Andy C., marking another first for Romero. While these ‘firsts” certainly add to the excitement for the album, it is the songs that truly take center stage. ROMERO’s voice is completely at home on this diverse, hard rockin’ set which is certainly going to please any fan of his vocal style and his work with his other bands.

Commenting on ‘Live At Rock Imperium Festival’, Romero states: “I really wanted to have a live album out, to show everybody how much I enjoy playing music and the capabilities of the musicians I have by my side! It is also a step forward in my solo career. And no better place than my beloved Rock Imperium Festival in Spain! Thanks a lot to Frontiers Music, Manu Gimenez, Andy C, and my band for making this possible! I hope that everyone will enjoy this performance!”

Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets Releases Live ‘Echoes’ With Steven Wilson ATMOS Mix

0

Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets have released their spellbinding live version of Pink Floyd’s iconic ‘Echoes’ on streaming platforms. An ATMOS mix by Steven Wilson, it was recorded at their show on August 1st, 2024 at the Centennial Hall in Frankfurt, Germany,  and was originally a Record Store Day vinyl only release.

When the band (Nick Mason, Gary Kemp, Guy Pratt, Dom Beken and Lee Harris) was founded it was with one simple ambition – to play and celebrate the early music of Pink Floyd. Following a handful of shows in the back room of a pub, their 2019 debut tour was met with huge acclaim from music critics and Pink Floyd fans alike, but inevitably they asked themselves “what next?”, and ‘Echoes’ felt like a natural answer!

The undertaking of playing ‘Echoes’ live is something that should not be understated. The track is a complex 23+ minute record. It swoops and dives, there are dynamic shifts in mood, tempo and instrumentation moving from tranquil, atmospheric passages to intense soundscapes – even the thought of undertaking playing such a track live, let alone one that holds such significance to millions of fans worldwide, is beyond comprehension to many, but it was a challenge Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets embraced with stunning results.

They started playing the track as part of The Echoes Tour that was delayed until 2022 due to Covid. Like their debut tour, it was met globally with huge acclaim and ‘Echoes’ stood out in their set and was lauded by the critics.

The Path: A Curated Ritual of Arrival

Guests entering RISE Festival begin their journey with presence and stillness. The Path is a carefully curated experience of sculptural installations and wellness retreats designed to ground and uplift. It features:

This serene threshold prepares the mind and body for the celebration that follows, creating a sense of purpose and intention from the very first step onto the festival grounds.

  • “Trillion” by HYBYCOZO – The acclaimed duo Yelena Filipchuk and Serge Beaulieu present towering geometric sculptures that explore the harmony of math, science, and natural patterns. As dusk falls, their structures radiate with internal light, casting evolving shadows that echo RISE’s core themes of connection and transformation.

Cardi B to Receive ASCAP Voice of the Culture Award

0

Today, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) announces multiplatinum, Grammy-winning superstar Cardi B will be honored with the distinguished ASCAP Voice of the Culture Award.

Cardi B made history in 2020 as the first woman to receive the esteemed ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Songwriter of the Year Award two years in a row, adding to her multiple ASCAP accolades, including eight ASCAP Pop Music Awards and a whopping 23 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. This year, the world-renowned rapper returns to accept the ASCAP Voice of the Culture Award, which is presented to ASCAP members who have had a major influence on music and culture, to recognize their success as creators and changemakers. Last year, Usher was the recipient of the distinguished award.

“Cardi B has left an indelible mark on the culture of hip-hop by redefining and challenging the norms for women,” said ASCAP Chairman of the Board and President Paul Williams. “Having broken through countless barriers with her unapologetic authenticity and talent, she continues to use her voice to advocate for and inspire others, a true testament to her undeniable impact. We are proud to present Cardi B with this year’s ASCAP Voice of the Culture Award.”

Cardi B will be presented with the award at a private, invitation-only event celebrating ASCAP’s top hip-hop, R&B and gospel songwriters on Sunday, June 8 in Los Angeles.

Cardi B is among the most significant musical artists of all time, regardless of genre, gender or generation. Among her seemingly endless list of accomplishments, she stands as the highest-certified female rapper of all time on the RIAA’s “Top Artists (Digital Singles)” ranking, the female rap artist with the most RIAA diamond certifications, and the only female rapper with multiple billion-streamers on Spotify, where her chart-topping, Grammy-winning, four-times RIAA platinum-certified debut album, Invasion of Privacy, remains the most-streamed album by a female rap artist to date. All 13 tracks on Invasion of Privacy are now certified at least platinum, and the smash 2018 album also includes the history-making diamond-certified “Bodak Yellow.”

With an extensive list of awards, nominations and high-profile honors, Cardi B’s additional nods include nine total Grammy Award nominations, eight Billboard Music Awards, six Guinness World Records, five Spotify One Billion Streams Awards, six American Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, three iHeartRadio Titanium Awards, six BET Awards, 14 BET Hip Hop Awards, inclusion on TIME‘s “TIME100: The 100 Most Influential People of 2018,” being named Entertainment Weekly‘s 2018 “Entertainer of the Year” and Billboard‘s 2020 “Woman of the Year,” along with countless other triumphs. In 2021, she was named Playboy‘s first-ever Creative Director in Residence and founding member of Playboy‘s creator-led platform. Since then, Cardi B has been featured on chart-topping singles including platinum-certified “Tomorrow 2” with GloRilla and gold-certified “Put It on the Floor” with Latto. In 2024, Cardi B came out swinging with dual releases “Like What (Freestyle)” and “Enough (Miami),” before collaborating on Rob 49’s “On Dat Money” and Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla’s “Wanna Be (Remix).”
