Jonah Kagen and Sam Barber Unite on Fiery New Anthem “Burn Me”

0

Today, Georgia singer-songwriter Jonah Kagen teams with 2X PLATINUM-certified singer/songwriter Sam Barber for the rebellious “Burn Me,” out now via Arista Records. The new song, which is accompanied by a tour video, came together while the pair were sharing the road on sold-out tours of North America and Australia. It also arrives the same week that Jonah’s dependence-haunted hit single “God Needs the Devil” hits #1 at Alternative radio, a year after its original release.

“Burn Me” combines Jonah’s rich, rugged quaver with Sam’s power-packed tenor — something listeners have been asking after for a good while — but it’s far more than fan service. The poignant song embodies the internal struggles of growing up around different faiths with contradicting values, in a society that has plenty of opinions about that. For Jonah, that meant going to a school that taught him his father would burn eternally for being Jewish. As the song grows from a single acoustic guitar to a whirlwind of strum, the boys come together to belt out the chorus: “I don’t know if I was made from God’s hands, but I know my father is a good man / I’m realizing now how the earth bleeds, so if you’re gonna burn him you can burn me.”

Jonah shares a little background on “Burn Me”: “I grew up in a religiously mixed family filled with nothing but love. Even still, there was always a weird thing none of us really talked about — that one of my parents’ religions technically condemns the other one to Hell, and the other doesn’t even believe that Hell is a thing. I wrestled with it for a long time, and ultimately came to this conclusion: I have no idea what’s wrong or right, but I do know that my parents are both angels sent from somewhere, and if they’re going down for their beliefs, I’m going down with them!”

Jonah is only just back from Australia — where he played his most recent stomp-along single The Reaper— and is gearing up for a summer full of shows, including his co-headlining Rideout Tour with the Crowe Boys, dates with Wyatt Flores, a lengthy leg of Vance Joy’s North American summer headliner, and festivals that include the Calgary Stampede, Montana’s Under the Big Sky Festival, and Louisville’s Bourbon & Beyond. See the full itinerary below.

Late last year, Jonah shared Black Dress, a stirring six-song set recorded and produced by the man himself while living, touring, and traveling in his Airstream trailer (read more here). With standouts like the darkly cinematic Matches and the slowly building Don’t You Give Up on Me Yet,” the EP takes listeners on a journey through shout-along peaks and lonesome valleys.

“God Needs the Devil” hails from that release and has so far been streamed over 75 million times worldwide on its way to dethroning The Black Keys from Alternative radio’s top spot, not to mention featured among Spotify’s Pop Rising playlist’s Best Songs of 2024.

Jonah’s studio-rigged Airstream ensures that the new music will keep coming even as he heads into his busiest summer on record. Stay tuned as he sets his sights on a proper debut album.

The Press Release If The Beatles Released Sgt. Pepper’s ‘Lonely Hearts Club Band’ Today

0

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 2025

🎺 THE BEATLES FLIP THE SCRIPT WITH ‘SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND’ — A MULTI-SENSORY DROP FOR THE AGES 🎺

Strap in, fam. The mop tops just went full metaverse.

After rewriting the rules of rock with last year’s boundary-pushing ‘Revolver’ and the sonically stacked ‘Rubber Soul’, The Beatles are back and they’re rewriting the rules of the music game-again. Meet ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’, a genre-defying, alter-ego-fueled fever dream that doesn’t just drop — it arrives, and it’s already breaking the internet and melting faces worldwide.

This isn’t just an album. It’s a whole era.

From the first crunchy guitar burst of the title track to the soul-splitting final chord of “A Day in the Life,” Sgt. Pepper is the Fab Four at their most feral, experimental, and totally unbothered by commercial convention. This 13-track carousel of sound is what happens when you give the biggest band on the planet carte blanche and a 96-track recorder.

Key Tracks You’ll Be Posting About:

“Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” — Don’t get it twisted. This kaleidoscopic banger isn’t just about LSD (though, like, come on), it’s a pixelated dreamscape inspired by Julian Lennon’s preschool drawing. Think: Lewis Carroll meets TikTok-core, with more harpsichord.

“She’s Leaving Home” — A slow-burn heart-wrencher ripped from a real newspaper story. Set your relationship status to “complicated,” cue this track, and prepare to cry in 4K. This one hits different. It’s a TikTok-ready tearjerker about a girl breaking free from the parental matrix. If you’ve ever ghosted your hometown to chase your dreams, this song is your next fave.

“Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!” — If Tim Burton directed a Coachella set, it would sound like this. John Lennon literally lifted the lyrics from a Victorian circus poster. Sampling, but make it steam-punk vintage.

“With a Little Help from My Friends” — Forget about solo hustle culture-this anthem is all about squad goals. Ringo steps up to the mic and reminds us that, in 2025, your chosen fam is everything. #FriendshipGoals

“A Day in the Life” — The Beatles go full auteur here. Two songs, one sonic mind-meld, and an orchestra that sounds like the inside of your brain during a panic scroll. This is what it sounds like when art meets anxiety — and somehow heals it.

So What’s the Vibe?

Call it maximalist psych-pop. Call it baroque rock. Call it the first concept album that concepted so hard it spawned a thousand Spotify genres. Whatever you call it, Sgt. Pepper is The Beatles flexing creative control like never before. This isn’t your dad’s band (actually, it totally is — but they’re wearing velvet and questioning reality now).

From Boy Band to Brain Trust

Remember when they just wanted to hold your hand? Same band, different universe. The Beatles have gone from pop princes to sonic philosophers, trading mop-top harmonies for sitars, sound collages, and orchestral chaos that somehow slaps.

In a world of endless content, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is the main character. So, plug in, turn up, and let The Beatles take you on a journey that’s as fresh as your FYP and as deep as your DMs.

Drop Details:
Out now on all platforms — vinyl, stream, spatial audio, and a limited-edition AR filter that lets you step inside the album cover (Apple Vision Pro required).

#SgtPepperChallenge is trending — fans worldwide are posting technicolor tributes, cosplay covers, and rewriting their bios to include “fixing a hole where the rain gets in.”

Because in 2025, the band you thought you knew just reinvented the game. Again.

📍Sgt. Pepper is not just a vibe — it’s a whole Lonely Hearts Club, and everyone’s invited.

Chevelle Drop Tense “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)” Video, Tease New Album

0

This past March, CHEVELLE unleashed its first new music in four years with the single “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)”. It’s a gnarly, riffy rager with more hooks than a tackle box and alternately snarling and melodic vocals. Push and pull tension define the song, which leads to thrilling, dissonant breakdown at the end of the song. Put simply, it was worth the wait.

Today, the band, fresh off an appearance at Coachella, shares the official video for “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)”, which is rife with the same tension as the song. The black-and-white footage is stark yet startling, and is unlike anything the band has done in the past.

“The sea was angry that day, my friends, for sometimes you cast your net and win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes you just don’t get that happy ending. Either way enjoy the new ‘Rabbit Hole’ music video, friends!,” the band says.

In a recent interview with “Whiplash”, the KLOS radio show hosted by Full Metal Jackie, CHEVELLE drummer Sam Loeffler spoke about “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)”. The track is taken from CHEVELLE’s as-yet-unannounced tenth studio album, which will arrive later in the year. The follow-up to 2021’s “Niratias” will mark CHEVELLE’s first release through Alchemy Recordings following a long run with the Epic label. Alchemy Recordings is a record label created in partnership between Dino Paredes, former American Recordings vice president of A&R, and Danny Wimmer, the founder of Danny Wimmer Presents, the premier production company for rock music festivals in the United States.

This summer CHEVELLE will embark on a massive tour with special guests ASKING ALEXANDRIA and DEAD POET SOCIETY. Produced by Live Nation, the 38-city trek kicks off on August 7 at Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas, making stops across North America in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and more before wrapping up in Airway Heights, Washington at BECU Live at Northern Quest on October 2.

As for what the 10-song album sounds like, Sam said: We’re always skewing towards heavy. [But] these [last] two songs that we’ve been working on right now are definitely different from everything we did, although ‘Niratias’, our last album, I think was a really important snapshot of what we’ve been learning about writing and about music and stuff. This one definitely sounds different than just rock music, definitely different.

Released in March 2021 via Epic Records, “Niratias” was recorded throughout 2019 and 2020 with Barresi. The album artwork was designed by Boris Vallejo — the famed and award-winning artist is responsible for the posters used for films like “Knightriders” and “National Lampoon’s Vacation”, as well as iconic ’70s and ’80s science fiction novel covers and magazines (such as Heavy Metal).

Over the course of its career, the Chicago rockers have generated nearly half a billion streams, notched seven No. 1 hits, and sold out shows worldwide. Their catalog spans the double-platinum “Wonder What’s Next”, which boasts the double-platinum smash “The Red” and the platinum hit “Send The Pain Below”. “This Type Of Thinking (Could Do Us In)” attained platinum status, while “Vena Sera” was certified gold. CHEVELLE has landed four Top 10 debuts on the Billboard 200, including “Sci-Fi Crimes” (2009),”Hats Off To The Bull” (2011),”La Gárgola” (2014) and “The North Corridor” (2016). The latter two each captured the No. 1 slot on the Top Rock Albums chart.

Chloe Flower Releases Empowering New Album ‘I Love Me More’ Featuring Nicole Scherzinger, JoJo, Babyface And More

0

To kick off AAPI Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month, Korean-American piano virtuoso and “popsical” (pop-classical) composer Chloe Flower has released her third studio album, I Love Me More. The album’s focus track is a new take on the iconic “El Tango de Roxanne” from Moulin Rouge! featuring Broadway’s Nicole Scherzinger and Ramin Karimloo. Ahead of the album’s release, BroadwayWorld spoke to the musician about her unique style and working with the Broadway powerhouses on the new recording. Watch the music video for the song and check out the full album below.

I Love Me More marks a new chapter in Chloe’s musical journey. Building on her mission to bring classical music into the mainstream, the project includes a variety of new takes on old classics including the project’s lead singles: a new rendition of The Beatles masterpiece “Yesterday” with accompanying vocals from her mentor Babyface (performing the track earlier this year on TODAY) along with a fresh take on Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers” and “Under the Stars,” a beautiful original song and soothing soundscape of a starlit night, arranged entirely by Chloe for piano and orchestra with the backing of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Her latest single, “The Very Thought of You” is a gorgeous new rendition of the pop standard track of the same name featuring high-powered vocals from chart-topping, award-winning singer, songwriter, and actress JoJo (Joanna Levesque). Originally intended as an album about love, the project eventually morphed into an expression of healing, taking on new meaning as she explores musical artistry as a form of self-love and as a way to maintain and boost inner confidence.

“This album is my ode to the transformative power of music,” Chloe shares on the album. “Every song has made me feel stronger in my weakest moments, serving as proof that music isn’t just something we listen to, but something that can empower us in ways nothing else can. I hope this album not only brings listeners joy, but also serves as a sonic reminder that self-love is the most essential kind of love.”

Backed in its entirety by the Royal Philharmonic, I Love Me More is Chloe’s debut under Popsical Music Group, her new label and first major foray into the world of business and entrepreneurship. Her goal with launching Popsical Music Group is to provide a place to elevate female and minority voices within classical music and to especially champion these composers, writers, and performers in a male-dominated industry. The label has an exclusive distribution partnership with The Orchard.

Visionary artist Chloe Flower became the most talked-about pianist in the world after a show-stopping performance with rap queen Cardi B at the 2019 Grammy Awards, launching her into viral fame nearly overnight and prompting her major label debut with Sony Music. The Pennsylvania native began playing the piano at the age of two, studying at Manhattan School of Music and London’s Royal Academy of Music before meeting her mentor, the 12-time GRAMMY Award-winning R&B singer-songwriter and producer, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.

In the years since, Chloe has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including artists like Celine Dion, Lil Baby (onSaturday Night Live in 2023), Meek Mill, 2Chainz and Nas as well as producers like Mike WiLL Made-It (Miley Cyrus / Beyonce) and Tommy Brown (Ariana Grande / Justin Bieber). Releasing her self-titled debut in 2021, Chloehas coined the term “popsical” to describe her imitable style, which infuses a contemporary pop sensibility with the refined elegance of classical tradition. She continued to refine her sound on both a 2023 holiday album, ChloeHearts Christmas, and official third project, I Love Me More.

Chloe is not only a gifted musician and fashion icon but also an outspoken activist as well. She serves on the advisory board of the UNODC’s Blue Heart campaign. She has been honored by the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Activism (CAST) and received The Last Girl Award from Gloria Steinem and Apne Aap for her efforts in the fight against human trafficking. As a champion of music education, she is the youngest board member of the Liberace Foundation and The Manhattan School of Music. An official Steinway Artist, Chloe proudly celebrates her Asian heritage and culture and is a fierce advocate for women’s representation — particularly women of color — in the music industry. She most recently performed and spoke for the Forbes Power Women’s Summit as well as the HeForShe Summit for UNWomen.

Listeners hear the struggle the man faces, and the promise of deliverance waiting for him if he were to reach out and grab it.

For the first time ever, two guitar greats, John 5 and Richie Kotzen will be heading out on the road this year. The tour will launch October 16 and run through November, hitting markets across the U.S.

Says John 5, “I’ve got a brand-new show and a whole bunch of songs we haven’t played in a long time plus all your favorites. I’m super excited! I love touring with other great guitarists like Richie Kotzen! It’s gonna be a Noodle-Palooza.”

Adds Kotzen, “I am very much looking forward to this USA tour, but what makes this even more exciting than last year’s run of dates is that I’ll be out this time with my good friend John 5! I think this is going to be a great night not only for guitar fanatics but for general music lovers as well. I can’t wait to hit the stage this fall!”

Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates begins Thursday (May 15th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code FREESTYLE. General ticket sales start Friday (May 16th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
