Mimi Webb And Meghan Trainor Join Forces On Disco Anthem “Mind Reader”

0

British powerhouse Mimi Webb kicks off 2025 in style with her first release of the year, “Mind Reader,” an irresistible and undeniable dance-floor filler featuring chart-topping GRAMMY Award winning Epic Records label mate Meghan Trainor. Written by Webb and Trainor, and produced by Grant Boutin & Federico Vindver, “Mind Reader” brings their unmistakable chemistry to the forefront-making a bold bid for song of the summer. “Mind Reader” is a playful, confident disco anthem for the ages about demanding respect and refusing for anything less.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mimi reveals, “Meghan is an artist I’ve admired for such a long time, and having her be my first-ever collaboration on a single feels like a dream come true. The song came together in such a fun, natural way. She’s an amazing songwriter, and we actually wrote ‘Mind Reader’ during the first session we ever did together. When I got home and listened back, I immediately felt like the track needed her voice on it, so I called her straight away and asked if she’d jump on it as a feature. She said yes immediately!”

Meghan Trainor adds, “Working with Mimi was an absolute dream!! My husband and I have been big fans of her for years so we were star struck when she came to the house to write this song. We had the best time writing ‘Mind Reader,’ so I was beyond excited when she asked me to feature on it. I can’t wait to dance to this song all summer long!”

LISA and Maroon 5 Team Up for Bold New Single and Video “PRICELESS”

0

dancer, actor, and style icon LISA to debut an infectious new single “PRICELESS,” out today via 222/Interscope Records.

The song also notably marks the first time Maroon 5 has collaborated with a K-pop artist. In addition to the debut of their new single, the music video for “PRICELESS” has premiered today. Directed by Aerin Moreno (Tate McRae, Tyla), the playful and stylish clip was shot in downtown Los Angeles on 35mm film and visually gives a nod to the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

“PRICELESS” is a prelude into Maroon 5’s upcoming eighth studio album, of which details will be formally announced soon. On the album, the band are returning to their roots with their new music while subtly expanding their sound.

Of their upcoming album release and new single, Adam Levine said, “It’s just a guitar-based song which we haven’t really done in so long. It happened first for us while we were recording the album. I think it’s just the purest and we are so happy to have LISA on it. The guitar intro is literally me playing into an audio message on my iPhone with an unplugged guitar. I actually got a little emotional recording ’cause it was sort of reconnecting to our roots, which a lot of our fans have been saying ‘hey we want to hear that sound again.’ It’s been like over 20 years so I think it’s time for that to return.”

Added James Valentine, “I got super emotional when Adam sent me the original demo of ‘PRICELESS’ because for me the sound represents Maroon 5’s earlier days. I joined the band in 2001 so when I was seeing them play in 2000, ‘PRICELESS’ gave me the same sort of excitement from the chords to overall vibe. I was super stoked on it and it established the writing and sound for our upcoming album.”

In addition to their new music, Maroon 5 are also preparing to announce an upcoming world tour. The US dates follow an extended residency at Las Vegas’ Dolby Live at Park MGM, which has now reached 40 total performances.

Summer Walker Debuts “Spend It” and Teases Final Album in Trilogy

0

Grammy-nominated R&B powerhouse Summer Walker (LVRN/Interscope Records) unveils her latest single and music video for “Spend It,” a sultry, unapologetic anthem that ushers in a brand-new era for the chart-topping artist. Arriving with two additional versions-“Spend It (Diamonds & Pearls Version)” and “Spend It (Rent is Due Version)”-the track is now available on all streaming platforms.

Opening with the bold line “Give me the last 4 of your credit card, buy back my love, you can keep your heart,” Summer makes it clear: love comes second to luxury this time around. With “Spend It,” Summer flips the narrative on romance, trading emotional depth for material clarity. It’s a song about power, pain, and pleasure-wrapped in silk, laced with satire, and set to a hypnotic R&B groove. She’s venting, but she’s over it. Rather than heartbreak, she’s leaning into what she can gain: control, luxury, and a little bit of revenge. In a world where love has let her down, she’s not asking for it-she’s charging for it.

The “Spend It” music video adds a cinematic layer to the single, starring P-Valley’s Gail Bean, Miracle Watts, and Brandee Evans, along with Angela White as a slick accomplice, and a special appearance by actor Eric Roberts. Set inside an exclusive private game at a lavish mansion, Summer plays a seductive ringleader on a mission to crack a high-security safe filled with money and expensive antiques. Between flashes of fine dining, high-stakes gameplay, and surreal shots of Summer in a pearl-filled bathtub and a turquoise trap room, the heist unfolds with a dramatic twist-Robertson opens the safe to find a Joker card and realizes he’s been played. The video ends with a cryptic message: “WhereIsTheAlbum.com,” followed by a surprise cameo from Joanne the Scammer, who offers Summer one final clue.

“Spend It” introduces fans to a new era of Summer-an era inspired by over-the-top glamour and hyper-femininity. The single will appear on Finally Over It, the final chapter in a trilogy that began with Over It (2019) and continued with Still Over It (2021). In this album, Summer walks away from past cycles and into a fantasy version of the life she’s creating for herself-where heartbreak becomes art, and the past is finally paid in full.

This summer, Walker will be an opener for Chris Brown’s Breezy Bowl XX Stadium Tour with Bryson Tiller, and will also perform at Daisies Festival in South Africa, further expanding her global presence and fanbase.

Onoleigh Honors Her Mother with Poignant New Ballad “Legacy”

0

Rising country artist Onoleigh premieres the music video for her most personal release yet, “Legacy”, with Holler. A poignant tribute and love letter to her mother wrapped in soaring vocals and an elegant piano melody, “Legacy” is a testament to the quiet sacrifices and unwavering strength of mothers everywhere.

“This song carries the heartbeat of my mother and the love that’s been passed down through generations. I hope it reminds people that the love we leave behind is the greatest mark we can make on the world,” said Onoleigh.

Produced by four-time ACM nominee David Dorn and co-written by an all-star team -Sam SZND (4x Platinum songwriter), Emile Ghantous (Pitbull, Boyz II Men, Fifth Harmony), Josh Goode (2x Emmy-winning songwriter), and Armen Paul Arakelian (multi-Platinum songwriter) – “Legacy” seamlessly blends country storytelling with a cinematic country ballad feel. The light touch to the song’s arrangement keeps the spotlight on Onoleigh’s emotional delivery, allowing every lyric to resonate deeply.

Britney Spears Celebrates 25 Years of “Oops!…I Did It Again” with Behind-The-Scenes Footage

0

Vevo and Britney Spears released a new episode of Footnotes commemorating the 25th anniversary of her legendary hit, “Oops!…I Did It Again” offering a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the unforgettable music video that defined a pop era and introduced one of the most iconic looks in music video history.

Directed by Nigel Dick and choreographed by Tina Landon, the video originally premiered on MTV’s Making the Video on April 10, 2000 and quickly became a pop culture moment-from the Mars set and Titanic-inspired interlude to the iconic red latex catsuit, which was Britney’s idea.

The Footnotes episode is packed with fun details: Max Martin not only produced the song but voiced the skit in the video, the astronaut finds the original single’s cover art in the wreckage and Britney’s look swapping her original red boots for black sneakers mid-shoot because the boots were too uncomfortable. Britney pushed through a couple of injuries during filming, including stitches and a twisted ankle, to deliver one of her most memorable performances.

“Oops…I Did It Again!” was the lead single for Britney’s second studio album, which shattered the record for most first-week sales by a female artist, holding that title until Adele’s 25 in 2015. In a 2020 Instagram post, Britney reflected on the moment: “The anticipation and the butterflies I felt before it came out were crazy… All of my expectations were exceeded!”

Yeat Reimagines Drake’s “Feel No Ways” with Futuristic New Remix

0

Coming off his first-ever Coachella performance, multi-platinum rap innovator Yeat has shared his cover of Drake’s classic track “Feel No Ways” – out now via Lyfestyle Corporation / Field Trip / Capitol Records. “Feel No Wayz (Yeat mix)” marks his third release of the year, following standout single “The Bell” and a feature on “Work” with Anyma, the solo project of Matteo Milleri from the electronic duo Tale of Us.

First previewed during his Sahara Stage set at Coachella Weekend 1 – where a 50-foot golden bell towered over the crowd in homage to his breakout hit “Get Busy” – Yeat’s extraterrestrial, autotune-drenched rendition of the Drake cult classic quickly became an internet-breaking moment.

In the days leading up to the release, billboards popped up around Toronto with a text from Drake that read, “YOUNG TWIZZZZZY FEEL A WAY”, teasing the remix and fueling endless internet discourse.

The release marks a rare moment of homage between two generations of rap visionaries. Yeat and Drake’s collaborative history includes standout tracks like “As We Speak” and “IDGAF” , with the latter debuting at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 on the Global 200, and amassing over 1 billion streams to date.

Drake has long been a vocal supporter of Yeat’s futuristic sound and boundary-pushing vision, first publicly connecting with the rising star in 2021 following the release of Yeat’s fourth album Up 2 Me. With “Feel No Ways (Yeat mix)”, Yeat reimagines a modern classic through his distinct sonic lens, paying tribute from one visionary to another.

Yeat’s last project, the #1 Billboard charting LYFESTYLE, kicked off this summer when Yeat hinted at new music during his special three-show North American run across New York, Los Angeles, and Portland. With the release of LYFESTYLE, Yeat hit a massive career milestone, earning his first-ever no. 1 album on the Billboard 200. Within its first week of release, the 22-track project sold 89K equivalent album units — the rap phenomenon’s highest first week sales to date. This achievement also marked Yeat’s fifth top 10 debut in under 3 years: Lyfe (No. 10 in 2022), 2 Alive (No. 6 in 2022), AfterLyfe (No. 4 in 2023), 2093 (No. 2 in 2024), and now LYFESTYLE (No. 1 in 2024). LYFESTYLE was released initially on October 18, boasting features from Lil Durk, Don Toliver, Kodak Black, and more. Most recently, Yeat embarked on an international tour across the EU & UK — an explosive run through 9 cities which included his first ever headlining show in London, which The Guardian noted as a “ribcage-reverberating success”.

OMB Peezy and FBLManny Unite for Collaborative Album ‘OverKrash’

0

Though they’re seven years apart in age, 28-year-old OMB Peezy and 21-year-old FBLManny bonded over their similar upbringings in the trenches and their taste in melodic street music. Today, the Alabama mainstay and the Atlanta riser combine their sensibilities, sharing OverKrash, their new collaborative project. Driven by Peezy’s soaring triplets and Manny’s taffy-like vocals, OverKrash is a heartfelt and motivational effort, speaking directly to those in the struggle with relatable narratives and ushering them forward with invigorating words of wisdom.

The new tape is home to recent singles like “How U Feelin’,” a theme song for lifelong hustlers, and “New Dallas,” a bass-heavy banger. The 13-track tape adds several new highlights, including the high-octane, Drum Dummie-produced “Gas Tank,” a prideful examination on how people change after a rapper earns fame, and “Bet Stand Onnat,” with its bluesy chord progression and electric keyboard-heavy, dark night of the soul aesthetic. With production from heavy-hitters like Will-A-Fool, OverKrash is available everywhere via Overkill Entertainment/ FBL Entertainment / Blac Noize! / Hitmaker Music Group.

OverKrash arrives at an exciting moment in the careers of both artists. Repping both the West and Gulf Coasts, OMB Peezy has been one of the most unique voices in rap since emerging in 2017, mixing his Southern drawl and instinctive melodics with NorCal flows and slang. The 28-year-old artist has released ten solo and collaborative albums, including 2021’s Too Deep For Tears, home to the remix to his GOLD single “Big Homie,” and most recently, Drifting Away, which dropped earlier this year. Peezy got an unexpected boost in late 2024 when his 2017, Drum Dummie-produced breakout hit “Lay Down” went viral on TikTok, generating over 150k video creations and inspiring a dance popular with the youngest generation. The revived success of “Lay Down” inspired a new remix, featuring GloRilla, which racked up over 5.8 million streams on Spotify alone since its December 2024 release.

21-year-old FBLManny is well on his way to success, popping in Atlanta with regional hits like “Patrick Bev” and collaborating with fellow risers like Raq Baby. A young OG, Manny started rapping when he was just 10 years-old, recording songs in his living room under the watchful eye of his mom. Manny dropped his first project, U Know The Vibes, as a 16-year-old in 2019, and has followed with several accomplished tapes, including 2025’s Cat Music 3. Now working with OMB Peezy as his creative partner and source of advice as someone who also broke out at a young age (“Peezy’s really like a mentor,” FBLMANNY says), Manny is ready to make a name for himself on the national scene.

With OverKrash, Peezy and Manny seek to establish themselves as one of hip-hop’s premier duos.

Exploring the Nightlife of Namche Bazaar: What to Expect?

0

By Mitch Rice

The most iconic and top-notch place in the Everest region is Namche Bazaar. It is a high-altitude village in Nepal at an altitude of 3440 meters (11286.09 ft) where trekkers stop for acclimatisation.

Namche Bazaar is a charming Sherpa village surrounded by snowy peaks and green hills. Despite its remoteness, Namche Bazaar has almost all the facilities that are in the cities. You will find cozy restaurants and guesthouses, shops that sell trekking gear, and bakeries.

Though remote, Namche feels surprisingly busy. There’s Wi-Fi in cafes, fresh coffee, and even movie nights. Saturdays bring a local market where traders from nearby villages come to sell their goods like yak cheese, vegetables, and handcrafted items.

You can stop here for two days while on the Everest Base Camp Trek, where you take short hikes to acclimatise to the altitude. When people think of Namche Bazaar, they imagine yaks, mountains, and early bedtimes, but not nightlife.

But this little Himalayan town has surprises up its stone paths. After a long day of trekking, Namche’s evenings offer a mix of calm, comfort, and low-key adventure. Here’s what a night in Namche really feels like.

The Pubs at the Edge of the World

Believe it or not, Namche has bars. And not just basic ones but actual cozy pubs where trekkers from around the world gather for a cold beer and good vibes. Liquid Bar is a traveller’s favourite, showing documentaries like Everest in the evening while serving up local drinks.

Danphe Bar also has its own charm, with music, heaters, and friendly banter. It’s not a party town, but it’s a place to share stories, laugh with strangers, and unwind after long treks.

Movie Nights That Hit Different at High Altitude

Several cafes in Namche double as small movie houses at night. They screen documentaries on Everest summits, the lives of Sherpas, and classic mountaineering films that feel extra special when you’re in the Himalayas.

Wrapped in thick blankets, sipping ginger tea, and watching a film with other trekkers, which is something deeply comforting and communal about the experience.

Conversations That Stick with You Longer Than the Trails Do

Nighttime in Namche is when strangers turn into friends. You’ll meet people who’ve just started their trek, others on their way back, and many with stories that stretch far beyond the Himalayas.

With no rush and no noise, conversations here get real, about life, travel, fears, and goals. It’s one of the few places where opening up feels natural, maybe because the mountains have a way of humbling us all.

Acclimatisation Days Turn into Unexpected Evenings

Many trekkers spend an extra night or two in Namche to acclimatise, but those extra hours aren’t just for catching their breath, but they’re for soaking in the rhythm of the place. With nowhere to rush and nothing urgent to do, evenings feel slower and sweeter.

You get to explore tucked-away corners, linger longer over meals, and actually be present. That sense of stillness, combined with mountain charm and good company, turns an ordinary acclimatisation stop into something far more meaningful.

Local Talk, Global Crowd

Night in Namche is when conversations get deep. You’ll meet fellow travellers from all corners of the world, sharing stories, tips, and laughs. It’s a mix of Sherpa warmth and global soul that makes you feel like you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

Namche Bazaar’s nightlife isn’t flashy or loud. It’s slow, soulful, and full of small moments like sipping tea, swapping stories, watching films, and laughing with strangers. It may not fit the typical idea of nightlife, but that’s exactly why it stays with you. Up here, even the quiet has a heartbeat.

What to Wear to a Summer Wedding: Your Ultimate Dress Code Guide

0

By Mitch Rice

Summer promises balmy weather, vibrant florals, and longer days, making it the most popular season to get married. Chances are, the wedding invitation in your mail is for the summer season (running from June to September), and just as you feel excited for being a part of someone’s special day, the burning thought pops up, “What am I going to wear to a summer wedding?”. As dress designers and retailers for brides’ closest group of girls, we are well acquainted with the outfit codes, style expectations, and fashion etiquettes at a wedding! Below, we have shared summer wedding dress codes for both men and women to help you.

Tips for What to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Your gut instincts are right here! You wear to a summer wedding along the same lines as you’d dress up for any other summer event – some if’s and but’s applicable. A wedding is more of a formal celebration, so floral prints that are playful yet graceful, accessories that are elegant and not gaudy, and a silhouette that’s flattering and synergises with the “dress code” are essentials. Here are tips on where to start and lead when you’re invited to attend summer nuptials.

1. Check the Invitation & Wedding Website

The dress code is often mentioned on the invitation, but many couples choose to include the dress code with inspirational pictures on their wedding website to help the guests. That guests adhere to the aesthetics is important for them, so their wedding visuals remain coherent. If you’re still confused, reach out to a close friend or family member involved in the planning process, or just contact the bride or the groom for more details.

2. Avoid Black & White

Summer weddings call for pastel shades or light colors like baby blue or lilac dresses for wedding, but avoid white or anything closer to the color. If you have a floral printed dress with an ivory base color, then make sure the prints are concentrated enough to hide the color. The only exception to wearing “white” is when the couple specifically asks for a white dress code.

Black, on the other hand, will be uncomfortable as the color absorbs sunlight and traps body heat. If it’s an outdoor ceremony, it can make you sweaty and hot, and it will also feel uneasy during the dance party.

3. Embrace Florals & Punchy Shades

Florals for summers? There’s nothing groundbreaking in it, but it’s an obvious and safe choice for wedding guests. So are punchy shades like vibrant pinks and striking neons. Incorporating a unique print or pattern is what summers are for – and don’t shy away from experimenting with them while planning your summer wedding guest look.

4. Choose Breathable Fabrics

Summer weddings can get hot and uncomfortable quickly. The key to comfort is to rely on breathable fabrics like cotton, linen, Merino wool, chambray, rayon, etc. Silk and chiffon are also breathable and elegant materials for female wedding guests and bridesmaids. Also, avoid form-fitting silhouettes as they can also trap heat and cause uneasiness.

5. Romance is the Vibe

When you’re at a wedding, you’re literally celebrating romance, making it the perfect time to include romantic details and silhouettes in your outfits too! Puffed sleeves, ruffles, bows, corset dresses, and laces are all details to sport as a guest at a summer wedding.

How Dress Codes Affect the Choices

Black Tie/ Formal

Your summer wedding invitation card mentions “black-tie/ formal”; then, most of the guests will be arriving in floor-length gowns and tuxedos. Besides gowns, midi dresses with standout prints are also dress-code appropriate. Men, if you’re worried about your tux warming you up, opt for cool and breezy colors with a white/ neutral color shirt inside. Materials like linen, cotton, and seersucker look polished yet allow air to pass, so you can wear them for longer hours without any sliver of discomfort.

Cocktail & Semi-Formal

Cocktail and semi-formal wedding dress codes can seem confusing. It’s that gray part between the middle of two extremes where perception changes the game. Maxi dresses that don’t look like gowns, midi-dresses with playful prints, and a dressier knee-length dress are good options. A tasteful crop-top with a mid-length skirt and elegant jumpsuits also adhere to the outfit code and look pretty.

Men, suits with suit jackets or blazers are a smart ensemble. Keep it light and breezy for an outdoor event, and let darker colors rule if it’s an afternoon wedding held in a more formal venue.

Casual Wedding Attire

When you read the word “casual” on a wedding invite, your mind immediately runs wild and goes to the flowiest, easiest dresses in your wardrobe. And you’re thinking in the right direction. But just one advice: keep it dressier and more celebratory than you are envisioning. It’s still a formal affair. A stunning floral dress, skirt with crop top, and cocktail-style rompers are perfect to keep it understated and acceptable. The wedding party will also be dressed casually in mismatched styles or a rose-gold bridesmaid dress to keep up with the theme.

Casual wedding attire for males is all about comfort yet staying stylish. Casual doesn’t mean jeans or flip-flops, even if the wedding is in a backyard or at a beach. Casual for men comprises chinos, dress pants with polo shirts, and soft linen shirts. Neat accessories like a metal watch, simple gold chain, and bracelet can add a stylish charm to the outfit.

How to Accessorize for Summer Weddings?

When done mindfully, the right accessories can add grace to your outfit and be an extension of your personality. For a summer fete, comfortable shoes, practical clutches, and gold hoops can be game-changers. Neutral colors are the best, but smartly pairing colors and eye-catching designs gives you that showstopper look. Turquoise earrings with floral prints, statement bows on heels, and a bag embellished with generous rhinestones can make your outfit pop.

Comfort and venue also play a role in the choice of accessories. You don’t want pointy heels for a beach wedding or stilettos for a grand outdoor venue that requires a lot of walking. Wedges, block heels, and platforms with thick cushioned insoles are comfortable to walk on beaches, grass, and uneven walkways. Similarly, outstations venues may require outfit changes, and you’d want light-toned, multifunctional accessories to pair with your summer wedding outfits as a guest.

For men, avoid ties (especially ascot ties) that can heat up in warmer temperatures and make you uncomfortable. Wear bows that are loose but not sloppy with your tux if it’s a black-tie event and skip anything around the neck completely if the event is anything other than black-tie.

Other accessories to wear to a summer wedding as a male guest are metal watches (smart watches are too casual for a celebration like a wedding – no matter the dress code or the venue), a simple gold chain or ring, cuff bracelets, and pocket squares. Footwear can be anything from loafers to derbies and oxfords. Just pair it well with the dress code and outfits, and you’re good to go for the event.
