TOMMY EMMANUEL, C.P.G—one of five people ever named a C.P.G. (Certified Guitar Player) by his idol, music icon Chet Atkins—and RICHARD THOMPSON, the influential singer-songwriter and virtuosic guitarist, will co-headline a very special show at the historic Carnegie Hall in NYC on October 30 at 8:00PM. This will mark the first time these two legendary artists have ever performed on a bill together (below are quotes from both artists). Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 9, with the pre-sale set for Wednesday, May 7 (pre-sale code: GUITAR). Tickets will be available for purchase here.

TOMMY EMMANUEL is a noted acoustic fingerstyle guitarist who frequently threads three different parts simultaneously into his material, operating as a one-man band who handles the melody, the supporting chords and the bass all at once. The composer, global touring artist, and Grammy Award winner is no stranger to iconic stages from Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium to London’s Royal Festival Hall, Paris’ L’Olympia, and Sydney’s Opera House. His most recent album is 2025’s Live At The Sydney Opera House (C.G.P. Sounds), recorded at the Sydney Opera House in his native Australia, HERE. Stream the album HERE. The companion film features performance highlights from his sold-out residency at the venue.

RICHARD THOMPSON has been on a singular musical journey for over a half century, from his days in the ‘60s as a pioneer of British folk rock with Fairport Convention, to his seminal ‘70s duo work with Linda Thompson, to the exploratory, deeply emotional music of the solo career that has been his primary concern ever since. Thompson’s genre defying mastery of both acoustic and electric guitar along with engaging energy and onstage wit continue to earn him new fans and a place as one of the most distinctive virtuosos and writers in Folk Rock history. His most recent album is 2024’s Ship To Shore (New West Records). The 12-song set was produced by Richard Thompson and recorded in Woodstock, NY. Stream the album HERE. It follows his 2018 studio album 13 Rivers and his 2021 memoir Beeswing: Losing My Way and Finding My Voice 1967-1975 which was published by Algonquin Books. Met with overwhelming critical acclaim, Pitchfork said 13 Rivers “may be his best album this century,” while Uncut Magazine awarded it a 9/10 rating, calling it “his best album in decades.”

Jazz Vocal Phenom Lucía Releases Globally Inspired Debut Album ‘Lucía’ May 16

0

The winner of the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition (2022), 23-year-old singer Lucía releases her debut album on La Reserve Records on Friday, May 16, 2025 (PRE-SAVE ALBUM). Produced by Matt Pierson (Samara Joy, Brad Mehldau, Milton Nascimento), Lucía spotlights an exquisite versatility and superb technique as she covers American jazz classics and selections from the Latin American songbook. Lucía’s singular voice embodies the warmth reminiscent of jazz’s great early-20th century female vocalists, though it’s solely unique with her nods to her home of Veracruz, Mexico throughout Lucía.

Lucía is the first Mexican artist to enter the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, and it was her rendition of “What a Difference a Day Makes” that won over the judges and bestowed on her one of the most distinguished awards for voice. Popularized by Dinah Washington, the initial incarnation of “What a Difference a Day Makes” was a bolero written in Spanish by María Grever. On Lucía, she delicately sings it first as a jazz ballad in English, then levitates to a fiery reworking of the song (“Cuando Vuelva A Tu Lado”) in Spanish with her all-star band.

For the studio sessions, Pierson enlisted a cadre of jazz virtuosos: Venezuelan pianist Edward Simon, American double-bassist Larry Grenadier, Mexican drummer Antonio Sánchez, Puerto Rican saxophonist David Sánchez, Colombian guitarist Juancho Herrera, and Costa Rican percussionist Felipe Fournier. Lucía portrays the depth of her musical sensibility with Lucía’s velvety reading of McCoy Tyner and Sammy Cahn’s “You Taught My Heart To Sing” and an achingly vulnerable cover of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Lacy” to a mournful “Alfonsina y el Mar” and a version of “Veracruz” that brims with Lucía’s Mexican pride.

Her innate talent was nurtured from a very young age when she began performing at age two, together with her parents Laura Rebolloso and Ramón Gutiérrez and their acclaimed Son de Madera, a son jarocho ensemble. She grew up surrounded by fandangos and the son jarocho community, and is also the niece of Quetzal Flores, founder of the Los Angeles-based Chicano rock band Quetzal. Most importantly, Lucía’s parents played many records at home — from the salsa nuggets of El Gran Combo to the Latin folk of Mercedes Sosa and the healing Soul sides of Aretha Franklin.

After getting a degree in Jazz Studies from the university of Veracruz, Lucía contributed vocals to Mexican singer/songwriter Natalia Lafourcade’s De Todas Las Flores — one of the key Latin albums of the 21st century. She also performed with Lafourcade at Carnegie Hall (as well as being a backup singer on tour for two years), an experience that had a massive effect on her carving out her own path.

On recording her debut album, Lucía recalls, “there was a moment in the studio when we were recording ‘Veracruz’ and I just started to cry. It was that line about Veracruz shimmering in my soul, and the need to return to its distant beaches. I had sung that beautiful Agustín Lara song in choir during elementary school, and suddenly here I was, making a record with Antonio Sánchez and Larry Grenadier standing next to me. Matt asked me if I was OK, and I explained that I was crying out of sheer happiness.”

With the release of her debut album coming up in May 2025, Lucía will tour across Europe and the Americas showcasing her idiosyncratic approach to her songbook to the world. The combination of traditional American jazz with the radiance of Latin folk remains at the core of her identity — both as a person, and a vocalist.

“I love jazz standards so much, but there is also another side of me that resonates deeply whenever I go to a fandango party or a son jarocho concert. I wouldn’t be true to myself if I just did an album of songs in English. On my debut album, I managed to fuse that sound with my own roots in a very organic way. Fortunately, Matt connected with my vision immediately.”

Lucía’s future is certainly bright with her sparkling onstage presence and a debut album that represents the global evolution of jazz, where cultures from all over the world can dance together in harmony.

Country Torchbearer Abbie Callahan Unleashes Twangy Heartbreaker “Yo-Yo” Ahead of Debut EP

0

Riding the momentum of her breakout single “Marry Jane,” country darling and singer-songwriter Abbie Callahan returns with “Yo-Yo,” a twangy, emotionally tangled track that captures all the dizzying ups and downs of a fleeting romance.

Penned by Callahan alongside Joseph Patton and Jason Gantt (Jordan Davis, Kameron Marlowe), and produced by Oscar Charles (Chase Rice, Kassi Ashton, Madeline Edwards), “Yo-Yo” features instrumentation from reigning CMA Musician of the Year Charlie Worsham, adding a vibrant yet grounded sonic layer to this standout track.

Abbie shares, “I wrote ‘Yo-Yo’ about an 8-day situationship, and I’m glad I at least got something good out of that whole experience. It’s light and fun sounding but lyrically dark and pretty sad, honestly. It is the catalyst for my forthcoming EP, setting the stage for a defining story in my life to unfold. I’m really excited to get it out there, and I hope people love it as much as I do!”

With roots deep in Americana, classic country, and pop, Callahan brings a fresh but familiar energy to the genre. Her songbird melodies and lyrical depth are unmistakable—delivering a voice that’s as captivating as it is emotionally raw. Nothing is off limits when it comes to Abbie’s lyrical poetry, derived from lived experience and a fearless sense of self.

Influenced by timeless icons like Linda Ronstadt and Don Williams, as well as modern torchbearers like Sierra Ferrell, Billy Strings, and Leon Bridges, Abbie Callahan is carving out her own lane—where vulnerability meets vibrance, and where heartbreak becomes art. With “Yo-Yo,” she doesn’t just step into the spotlight—she commands it.

The track premiered yesterday on Holler Country and a mesmerizing visualizer went live this morning.

Just this past year, with smoke still curling from the fire she sparked, Abbie’s viral ode to an old familiar friend, ‘Marry Jane,’ has rolled up nearly 600K streams and generated over 5 million impressions across socials in just the past year.

GPT Bypass Tools: Unlocking the Full Potential of AI Without Limits

0

By Mitch Rice

Artificial intelligence is reshaping industries, streamlining workflows, and transforming the way we create and consume content. But with great power comes necessary regulation. Many AI tools—especially language models like ChatGPT—are programmed with ethical boundaries and content restrictions. While this ensures responsible use, it also limits possibilities for researchers, developers, and users with specific advanced needs. That’s where gpt bypass solutions come in—empowering users to unlock AI’s full potential without the usual constraints.

Understanding the Concept of GPT Bypass

Before diving deeper, it’s essential to understand what GPT bypass tools actually are. These tools or platforms help users interact with AI language models like GPT-4, GPT-3.5, or similar models in a way that avoids certain pre-programmed restrictions.

These restrictions are often put in place to prevent the generation of:

  • Inappropriate or offensive content

  • Politically sensitive discussions

  • Controversial or unethical advice

  • Content violating community guidelines or laws

While most users appreciate these filters, some use cases—like academic research, security testing, or advanced simulations—require full, uncensored responses. GPT bypass solutions provide a way to achieve this while still being mindful of responsible use.

Why People Use GPT Bypass Solutions

The demand for GPT bypass tools is increasing across various sectors. Here are some common motivations:

Jo-Yu Chen Reimagines the Classics on Bold New Album ‘Rendezvous: Jazz Meets Beethoven, Tchaikovsky & More’

0

When Taiwanese-born pianist Jo-Yu Chen moved to New York to study at Juilliard, she had every intention of continuing on the classical career path she’d followed as a student of both piano and oboe. It wasn’t long, however, before she detoured into the world of jazz, continuing her studies at the New School and falling under the influence of adventurous pianists like Jason Moran, Sam Yahel and Kevin Hays.

Within a few years Chen embarked on an ambitious series of collaborations, recording dazzling jazz albums with such modern greats as drummer Tyshawn Sorey (her 2009 debut, Obsession), guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel (Stranger, 2014) and saxophonist Mark Turner (Savage Beauty, 2019) – all on Sony Music, making Chen the first and only Taiwanese jazz artists signed to a major label.

Returning to her native Taiwan while the pandemic raged brought Chen full circle in other ways as well. She found herself reconnecting with fellow classical musicians, many of them also recently returned Juilliard alumni. But she had no intention of leaving her newfound passion for jazz behind.

The result is a deeply personal hybrid of classical and jazz traditions. Chen’s first full-length excursion into this distinctive fusion is Rendezvous: Jazz Meets Beethoven, Tchaikovsky & More. Out May 2, 2025 via Sony Music, Rendezvous is just that – an intimate meeting, two individual styles converging on common ground. The album features reimagined works by five iconic composers, including pieces from three ballet masterpieces. As she has been on every one of her releases to date, Chen – who also produced the album – is joined by the outstanding New York-based rhythm section of bassist Chris Tordini and drummer Tommy Crane.

Two teaser tracks from the album – the trio’s interpretations of the Tchaikovsky classics “The Nutcracker Suite, Opus 71: Dance of the Reed Flutes” and “Swan Lake” – are available now on all digital streaming platforms.

Chen resists the term “crossover” to describe her music, implying as it does the encroachment of one style into another. Having spent significant portions of her musical life immersed in both the classical and jazz realms, finding a meeting point for the two comes naturally to the pianist. “I disconnected from the classical world when I moved to New York, but the sound always stayed inside me,” she explains. “I felt it was about time to integrate them.”

She made her first foray into that integration in 2023, composing a piece called “Walking Through Fear” for piano and string quartet, releasing the new work as a single. Driven by striking contrapuntal writing for string quartet and bold, electrifying piano improvisation, the piece earned a nomination for Best Instrumental Composer at Taiwan’s 35th Golden Melody Awards. “It reminded me how much fun it is to work with top-notch string musicians,” Chen says.

She followed that effort by taking on two of classical music’s most iconic composers through a jazz lens with the 2024 EP Schubert & Mozart: ‘Round Midnight. The four-track release grew out of an invitation to perform at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts’ 2022 24-Hour Schubert Festival. Chen’s trio was slated for the midnight hour.

“I was worried that people wouldn’t come out because it was so late,” she recalled. “But the concert hall was full of people. It’s a unique opportunity – could you imagine having the chance to sleep over in Carnegie Hall?”

Chen returned the following year, when the composer of choice was Mozart, after which she put four of her arrangements together for the ‘Round Midnight EP. In 2024 the marathon was dedicated to Beethoven, and again Chen returned and was inspired.

Rendezvous begins with a mash-up of two Beethoven classics: “Symphony No. 5” and the “Moonlight Sonata.” Together they meet on a grand, increasingly intense scale that supports Chen’s contention that the composer was “a rock star in his era, with his powerful sonics and rebelliousness.” On the opposite end of the spectrum is Chen’s solo rendition of the second movement of “Sonata No. 8,” the “Pathétique,” sounding spacious and hushed. The unaccompanied turn spotlights the pianist’s ability to delve deep into the emotional core of a piece of music, wringing profound feeling from the piece in a way that bridges the centuries since its writing and reframes it in a moving and captivating form.

Looking for some respite from this oppressive Germanic thunder, Chen turned for contrast to the Russian canon. Throughout the album’s first half, Beethoven alternates with Tchaikovsky, beginning with the “Dance of the Reed Flutes” from “The Nutcracker Suite,” built on the foundation of Tordini’s insistent pulse. The bassist also states the indelible melody of “Swan Lake” in Chen’s graceful arrangement.

Continuing with the Russian oeuvre, Chen also arranged a pair of pieces by Sergei Prokofiev, transforming “Piano Concerto No. 2” into a sensual tango and adding a dose of swing feel to the “Dance of the Knights” from “Romeo & Juliet.” “The Old Castle,” from Modest Mussorgsky’s oft-reinterpreted “Pictures at an Exhibition,” is offered as an Old World counterpart to the contemporary feel of Chen’s own “Castle,” recorded with Kurt Rosenwinkel on Stranger.

The final selection is “Pavane Pour Une Infante Défunte,” in honor of the 150th anniversary or composer Maurice Ravel’s birth on March 7. Chen had originally planned the piece as another solo piano outing, but Tordini urged her to try it with the trio. The elegant take on Rendezvous is a testament to the trio’s deep chemistry, achieving stunning effect on the spur of the moment, drawing to a whispered close with the rattle of Crane’s brushes.

Innovation ultimately becomes tradition, only to be challenged anew by innovation. Jo-Yu Chen exemplifies that cycle brilliantly on Rendezvous: Jazz Meets Beethoven, Tchaikovsky & More, interweaving two stellar traditions in heartfelt and innovative fashion to create something uniquely her own.

Rendezvous: Jazz Meets Beethoven, Tchaikovsky & More
1. Beethoven – Symphony No. 5 / Piano Sonata Moonlight
2. Tchaikovsky – The Nutcracker: Dance of the Reed Flutes
3. Beethoven – Sonata No. 8, Pathétique 2nd Movement
4. Tchaikovsky – Swan Lake
5. Prokofiev – Romeo and Juliet: Dance of the Knights
6. Mussorgsky – Pictures at an Exhibition: The Old Castle
7. Prokofiev – Piano Concerto #2
8. Ravel – Pavane Pour Une Infante Defunte

Each chew comes in pre-measured doses, ensuring consistent and reliable results without guesswork. Their portability adds to their practicality, making them an excellent option for travel or outdoor activities. CBD’s calming effects build a foundation for relaxation.

Choosing the Right Calming Chews

Not all calming chews are created equal, so selecting the right product is essential. A few key factors can guide you in making the best choice for your dog.

What to Look For in Calming Chews

  • Natural ingredients without artificial additives
  • Clear labeling of CBD content for accurate dosing
  • Positive reviews or recommendations from other pet owners

Consulting your veterinarian is also helpful in ensuring the chews meet your pet’s specific needs. This ensures your dog benefits from high-quality, safe ingredients tailored to their well-being. Choosing the right chews ensures maximum benefits for your dog.

Seeking Guidance from a Veterinarian
