Adjustments Trace Intimacy And Tension On New A-Side “Yr New Shoes”

0

Manchester-based slowgaze trio Adjustments return with their new single “Yr New Shoes,” reflecting on lovers’ petty arguments and tender reconciliations. Built on grainy guitar shocks and softly chiming garage indie textures, the track is paired with shared A-side “Moon Eyes” and released on pale blue marbled vinyl via Heaven’s Lathe. The release follows the band’s late-2024 debut AA-side “Bendy A / Who You Want,” which introduced their bass-free lineup and emotionally direct songwriting.

Recorded at Manchester’s Airtight Studios with engineer and co-producer Seadna McPhail, the songs expand on Adjustments’ lo-fi, slowgaze palette through layered guitars and shifting dynamics. Guitarist Finn Cohen-Ennis explains, “Yr New Shoes is inspired by jangly guitar pop like early My Bloody Valentine, Ex-Vöid and The Pastels, blending sweet melodies with noisy guitars.” Flipping the record reveals “Moon Eyes,” which Cohen-Ennis describes as “darker tonally,” leaning into contrasts between quiet and loud, distance and intimacy, mirroring the emotional range of personal relationships.

Scott McCloud Opens A New Chapter With Solo Album ‘Make It To Forever’

Seattle-based musician Scott McCloud will release his debut solo album ‘Make It To Forever’ via God Unknown Records on Friday, January 30, 2026. Known for his work with Girls Against Boys, Soulside, Paramount Styles, and AGRIO, McCloud steps into a more stripped-back and reflective space on a record shaped by memory, place, and conversation.

Recorded in Athens, Greece with Dimitris Dimitriades at Zero Gravity Studios, the album began as an experiment and time capsule, centered on raw acoustic guitar and voice. “These songs are about memories, romances, ideas which remain alive and ever changing,” McCloud shares, describing the record as a dialogue with time, place, and self. Over multiple visits, the songs were gradually expanded with musical guests while preserving the vulnerability of the original sessions, grounding ‘Make It To Forever’ in atmosphere, reflection, and lived experience.

AudioGust Confronts Collapse And Survival On New Album ‘Falling From Down’

0

Seattle-based artist AudioGust has released his third album, ‘Falling From Down’, alongside focus track “I Didn’t Hear What You Said.” The record leans into a hard-edged post-grunge and modern rock sound while preserving the melodic hooks and narrative depth that define the project. Led by Chris Evans, AudioGust balances raw intensity with strong songwriting, tracing themes of collapse, endurance, and the uneasy beauty found in survival.

“Falling From Down explores the struggles of modern life, from hitting rock bottom to finding small moments of hope and connection,” Evans explains. He describes the title as capturing “that feeling when you think things can’t possibly get worse, and then they do.” Across tracks like “Isotope,” the title song, and later moments such as “No Place For This” and “Down By The River,” the album moves through tension, reflection, and persistence. Guest vocalists Liliana Tani and Kelsey Grant add dimension to songs centered on connection, growth, and resilience, grounding the record in lived experience rather than resolution.

Ella Fence Expands Her Emotional Reach On New Single “Couple Kids”

Australian indie rock artist Ella Fence returns with her new single “Couple Kids,” a slow-burning track that gradually unfolds from restraint into emotional release. Built on reverb-soaked guitars and soaring harmonies, the song moves from fragility toward something more unrestrained, mirroring its lyrical focus on transition and self-recognition. The release arrives ahead of Ella’s December tour dates supporting internationally touring artist Sofia Isella, with shows across Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.

“Couple Kids” reflects on the urge to run, not from pain, but from understanding where that instinct comes from. “It’s about the quiet urge to escape, and the tenderness that comes with finally understanding where that desire comes from,” Ella shares. The track begins in stillness before slowly building through layered synths, electric guitar, and rising harmonies, closing with increased tempo and clarity. Following a decade-long career spanning stages across Canada, the UK, and Europe, and support slots with artists including Kate Miller-Heidke, Washington, Baker Boy, and Katie Noonan, the new single marks another measured step in Ella Fence’s evolving body of work.

Amanduh Slides Into Emotional Clarity On New Single “Hydroplaning”

Naarm Melbourne-based artist Amanduh returns with her latest single “Hydroplaning,” moving into new emotional territory through a dreamy blend of indie, pop, and alternative textures. Known for nostalgic melodies, soft-focus vocals, and introspective lyricism, Amanduh frames the song around the quiet unraveling of a relationship. The track follows her 2024 debut EP and recent single “Indigo Sky,” continuing a songwriting approach rooted in self-reflection and emotional clarity.

Lyrically, “Hydroplaning” draws on the metaphor of losing traction and control, mirroring emotional patterns that repeat despite knowing the outcome. “It’s ultimately another song about the breakdown of a relationship, but I really loved the concept of the word ‘hydroplaning,’” Amanduh shares. Built on smooth bass, shimmering synths, subtle percussion, and layered vocals, the song drifts with a calm, flowing rhythm, allowing its sense of emotional inevitability to unfold without resistance.

Premier Jester Turn Heavy Music On Its Head With New Single “Slow Dance”

Britain’s energetic metallers PREMIER JESTER continue their rapid ascent with the release of their brand new single and video, “Slow Dance.” Formed earlier this year, the rambunctious quintet has already built serious momentum through a run of genre-bending singles that fuse modern metal ferocity with electronicore punch.

“Slow Dance” pushes that identity even further, pairing emotional chords with playful storytelling and infectious energy. Co-vocalist Jimmy Martin explains, “I created an emotional set of chords which I thought wouldn’t be of any use to PJ, but realised it’d be fun to turn it into something upbeat lyrically.” Known for chaotic, high-octane live shows, PREMIER JESTER show no signs of slowing, with a debut album set for Spring 2026 and a headline show already in motion.

And every song has a songwriter.’ That belief has guided us from day one, and it’s what continues to drive everything we do. It’s going to be an unforgettable night celebrating the songs, the stories, and the community that started it all.”
