Raven Black Release Fiery New Single “Burn” From Upcoming Album ‘Black Sonata’

0

Raven Black has unleashed the next chapter in their unfolding gothic metal opera. “Burn”, the second single from the highly anticipated full-length album Black Sonata

“Burn” follows the success of “Fxck You,” the album’s first single, and continues the narrative arc of Black Sonata – an album that promises to be Raven Black’s most ambitious and immersive work to date.

Drawing from classical influences, dark theater, and spine-rattling metalcore, this album is a journey into the void… with the devil grinning from the passenger seat.

Produced by Ulrich Wild (Static-X, White Zombie, Deftones), “Burn” is an infernal symphony of heavy guitars, industrial textures, and Raven’s unmistakable blend of haunting melody and psychotic screams.

Ken Carson Earns First No. 1 on Billboard 200 With ‘More Chaos’

0

Breakout artist Ken Carson earns his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with the release of his latest album, More Chaos, out now via Opium/Interscope Records/Universal Music Canada. Marking a major career milestone for the Atlanta-born rapper, the project debuted with over 59,500 equivalent album units in its first week, his highest debut to date.

More Chaos is Carson’s first top 10 effort on the Billboard 200 and follows two previously charted titles: the critically acclaimed, A Great Chaos, (which peaked at No. 11 in 2023) and X,  (which reached No. 115 in 2022). The album also claimed the No. 1 spot on Apple Music’s All-Genre chart, Spotify’s Global and U.S. charts, and this week’s HITS Top 50 chart, while racking up 21 million streams on release day alone.

More Chaos was released on April 11 and serves as a continuation and evolution of the style Ken introduced on A Great Chaos, a revolutionary blend of rap, punk, and electronic music he simply defines as “chaos.” Ken recorded most of the album while on his 80-date tour, finishing it during a marathon of sessions in Los Angeles. The album features production from his trusted circle, including Starboy, Lil 88, F1LTHY, Outtatown, Lucian, and legion, among others. On release night, Ken surprised fans with a bonus track: “Off The Meter,” the first-ever official Opium link-up, bringing together Ken, Playboi Carti, and Destroy Lonely for a landmark moment in the label’s history. Listen HERE. Coinciding with the album release, Ken also shared the official video for “Money Spread.”

A Great Chaos, which was released in October 2023, has become one of Ken’s biggest breakthroughs, a sprawling, star-making effort that produced five gold-certified singles, debuted on the Billboard 200, and has impressively remained on the chart for 55 weeks. It also produced the Billboard Hot 100 hit, “overseas,” earned support from industry giants like The New York Times, Pitchfork, Billboard, Rolling Stone and Complex, was featured on several “Best Of 2023” lists.  Additionally, it landed Ken an opening spot on the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ tour. Listen HERE.

Building on that momentum, Ken made his debut performance at Coachella before embarking on his massive headline “Chaos World Tour,” an 80-date journey across 70 cities that drew electrifying, sold-out crowds and consistently generated viral moments. With a reputation for high-octane performances, Ken Carson’s live shows are a spectacle of rawness and intensity, drawing large, energetic crowds with his dynamic stage presence and unforgettable sets. But his impact extends beyond music, earning co-signs from icons like Young Thug, Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, and LeBron James, and even a shoutout on Jeopardy! In 2024, he also launched a sold-out collaboration with Ed Hardy, took the stage at Rolling Loud Miami, and performed at ComplexCon in Las Vegas.

Ken Carson is making 2025 another landmark year. He delivered a massive performance at Rolling Loud California, secured his first-ever headline festival slot at Rubicon, and starred in the latest Y/Project x Heavn by Marc Jacobs campaign. A Great Chaos defined an era for Ken, and now, with More Chaos, he’s pushing the movement to new heights, proving there’s no end to the storm he’s created.

Lauren Spencer Smith Announces New Album ‘The Art of Being a Mess’ Out June 27

0

Breakout vocalist and songwriter Lauren Spencer Smith confirms her sophomore album, THE ART OF BEING A MESS, is set for release June 27 on Island Records/Republic Records/Universal Music Canada. This Friday, she’ll share a first taste of the new music with “IF KARMA DOESN’T GET YOU (I WILL).” Pre-order HERE/pre-save HERE.

“‘IF KARMA DOESN’T GET YOU (I WILL)’ taps into a sound that’s edgier, darker, and more honest than anything I’ve released before,” Spencer Smith explains, “It’s a reflection of the anger, power, and fire I’ve felt—and a sign of how much I’ve grown, both personally and musically. This song is just the beginning of exploring deeper, more unapologetically angry emotions and being honest about the sides of ourselves we don’t always show.”

True to its name, THE ART OF BEING A MESS captures the emotional rollercoaster Spencer Smith experienced while writing her second album. Each song taps into a feeling—anger, devastation, love, peace, confusion and everything in between, sometimes all at once. Reflecting on the chaos of being human, each song finds Spencer Smith revisiting real stories and experiences in her life. With this album, she reminds listeners to embrace and feel comfortable in their emotions, that not everything is black-and-white.

THE ART OF BEING A MESS is about embracing the highs and lows, the chaos and the beauty in feeling everything, no matter what the emotion is,” Spencer Smith explains, “Life gets messy, and it’s okay to be angry, sad, confused—or even unsure of what you’re feeling at all. I want this album to feel like a guidebook, helping you understand your own emotions and feeling okay to embrace the journey they take you on.”

THE ART OF BEING A MESS follows her debut album, Mirror (2023), which features the RIAA Certified Platinum singles “Flowers” and “Fingers Crossed”—the latter of which peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has reached over 875 million global streams.

From a small town on Vancouver Island, Spencer Smith began her musical journey in 2019, gaining a sizeable audience online. Through her music, she explored breakups, complex feelings about school, family, and friends. Spencer Smith has performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the People’s Choice Awards—where she was also a Best New Artist nominee.

Yeat Releases New Single “The Bell” Following Viral Coachella Set and Billboard No. 1 Album

0

This past weekend at Coachella, global rap architect and multi-platinum artist Yeat teased his latest single “The Bell” –– out now via Lyfestyle Corporation / Field Trip / Capitol Records. Yeat’s Coachella set was one of the most talked-about performances leading into the weekend, with celebrities like Justin Bieber reposting the IG Story where Yeat teased new music along with a sneak peek at his stage design, a 50-foot golden bell paying homage to the iconic bell on “Gët Busy”. The most talked-about moment from the set was when Yeat lent his extraterrestrial autotuned vocals to Drake’s classic track “Feel No Ways” — a nod to the pair’s close relationship and their collaborations on “As We Speak” and “IDGAF”. The set also featured the live debut of his new feature “Work”, with a surprise appearance from Anyma, who joined him on stage as a special guest. After his performance, he joined forces with Justin Bieber for a Coachella afterparty aptly named YEATCHELLA. The star-studded guest list included The Kid LAROI, Lori Harvey, and Tate McRae, among others. The Coachella performance comes on the heels of his appearance at the Sphere, making him the first rapper to play at the groundbreaking new venue. Yeat appeared alongside Anyma, the solo project of Matteo Milleri from the electronic duo Tale of Us. Looking forward to weekend two, Yeat will be performing Friday, April 18th, from 9:10-9:55 PDT at the Sahara Stage.

Yeat’s last project, the #1 Billboard charting LYFESTYLE, kicked off this summer when Yeat hinted at new music during his special three-show North American run across New York, Los Angeles, and Portland. With the release of LYFESTYLE, Yeat hit a massive career milestone, earning his first-ever no. 1 album on the Billboard 200. Within its first week of release, the 22-track project sold 89K equivalent album units –– the rap phenomenon’s highest first week sales to date. This achievement also marked Yeat’s fifth top 10 debut in under 3 years: Lyfë (No. 10 in 2022), 2 Alivë (No. 6 in 2022), AftërLyfe (No. 4 in 2023), 2093 (No. 2 in 2024), and now LYFESTYLE (No. 1 in 2024). LYFESTYLE was released initially on October 18, boasting features from Lil Durk, Don Toliver, Kodak Black, and more. Most recently, Yeat embarked on an international tour across the EU & UK –– an explosive run through 9 cities which included his first ever headlining show in London, which The Guardian noted as a “ribcage-reverberating success”.

Low-fi melodies, clever cutting lyrics, and a distinctly mysterious persona are all highlights that build up the enigma that is Yeat, one of the most interesting rises in music. The prolific rapper broke through in 2021 when his song “Gët Busy” began appearing in TikTok videos. The track became so ubiquitous that it caught the attention of heavyweight rappers, including Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, and many more. As his fame skyrocketed, so did the mania surrounding the artist’s cult-like following which led to the shutdown of a show in Los Angeles at The Roxy. Now, with two headlining tours under his belt, four Billboard Top 10 Album Debuts, and over 8 billion global streams, the young talent is well on his way to superstardom. Yeat was born Noah Smith in 2000. He began releasing music around 2015, taking notes from Young Thug’s melodic strangeness and the inventive production styles of rappers who were rising to prominence as he grew up. He started out using the moniker Lil Yeat, but shortened it to Yeat in 2018. That year, he released his first mixtape, Deep Blue Strips. From then on, he was in hyperdrive. As his fame skyrocketed, Yeat released the mixtapes Alivë and 4L, and the Trëndi EP, before the release of his first proper studio album. Up 2 Më was issued in September 2021 followed by a second studio LP, 2 Alivëin early 2022. Just last year, Yeat was tapped by superstar Drake to collaborate on record “IDGAF” which is featured on Drake’s album For All The Dogs. The song, which was an instant hit, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #1 on the Billboard Global 200. Recently, Yeat’s LYFESTYLE reached #1 on the Billboard 200 chart selling 89K equivalent album units –– LYFESTYLE marked Yeat’s fourth entry into the Top 10 in only two years: Lyfë (No. 10 in 2022), 2 Alivë (No. 6 in 2022), AftërLyfe (No. 4 in 2023), 2093 (No. 2 in 2024) and now LYFESTYLE (No. 1 in 2024).
