ZERO 9:36 Shares “Leave It All Behind” Video From New EP ‘They Were Always Here’

0

ZERO 9:36 unveils his new music video for “Leave It All Behind,” taken from his recently released EP ‘They Were Always Here’. The video follows previously released singles “Holding On,” “Here To Bleed,” “Withdrawals” featuring Ekoh, and “System,” showcasing ZERO 9:36’s signature blend of raw emotion and powerful lyricism. The Philadelphia post-genre sonic insurgent siphons precise raps through distorted guitars and glitchy hues, rhyming with the force and fire of a prizefighter. After grinding under the radar for years and augmenting his signature style with frequent collaborator and producer No Love For The Middle Child, who appears on the new track “Make A Mess,” ZERO was signed as ATCO Records’ flagship act. The ‘You Will Not Be Saved’ EP introduced him while generating 70 million-plus streams, powered by highlights such as “Leave The Light On” and “WWYDF.”

His EP ‘…If You Don’t Save Yourself’ caught on instantly in 2021, with single “Adrenaline” hitting number 1 on Mediabase’s Active Rock airplay chart and standing as the number 2 most played at the format that year. Tracks like “Stuck In My Ways,” “Break” featuring Atreyu, and “I’m Not” brought listeners into his world, with Loudwire raving “‘I’m Not’ is a banger with ZERO 9:36’s nimble lyrical flow playing out over tribal drums and a wall of guitars and electronic backing.” In 2024, ZERO announced a new partnership with distributor OneRPM and released his third EP ‘None Of Us Are Getting Out’, led by heavily-streamed singles “I Felt It All,” “Kill Me,” and “Chasing Shadows” featuring Brandon Saller of Atreyu. The EP represented ZERO’s first release as an independent artist, charting top-twenty on Active Rock charts while he sold out packed clubs on his first headline tour of Europe and opened for Hollywood Undead. After his first tour of Australia, ZERO went back into the studio with No Love For The Middle Child, producer Jonathan Dolese, and others to craft ‘They Were Always Here’, which he describes as “a project that represents what these last few years have been like. Something special I made with my best friends, and with the help of some artists and producers I’m truly inspired by.” ZERO 9:36 has toured alongside Shinedown, Neck Deep, Hollywood Undead, Three Days Grace, Asking Alexandria, Nothing More, Bullet For My Valentine, Wage War, and The Plot In You, with festival appearances at Welcome to Rockville, Louder Than Life, and Inkcarceration, amassing over 50 million streams across platforms.

Mau5trap Releases ‘We Are Friends Vol. 12’ Disc 1 With The XTTC, Ciauru, And “Strobe” Retake

0

Following a strong run of 2025 releases from label leader deadmau5, BlackGummy, Becking, Screamarts, Skellytn, and Lamorn, mau5trap charges into 2026 with the first of two discs for the twelfth installment of its long-running compilation series ‘We Are Friends Vol. 12’. The collection’s focus track “1 of My Kind” comes from The XTTC, an anonymous collaboration between an electronic music producer and DJ and a visual artist with roots in comics and large-scale concert visuals. Built around the fantasy lives of three masked vigilante characters, X, Ruby Knives, and Lil C, who exist to disrupt symbols of power and inject chaos into systems thriving on obedience, the project presents cinematic storytelling soundtracked by driving electro, seductive vocals, and dark-room energy. The XTTC chooses anonymity as resistance in a time when identity gets scraped, tracked, packaged, and fed into algorithms designed to predict and control behavior, creating space for rebellion, contradiction, and freedom to exist without consequence.

The 15-track disc one also features singles “Supersonic Electronic (on acid)” from Italy’s Ciauru, packed with tribal rhythms and precision-engineered bleeps, and the featured remix “Strobe” (&friends, Moeaike Retake). For the sole remix on disc one, mau5trap tapped emerging artists &friends and Moeaike for a fresh retake on the deadmau5 classic. &friends continues to solidify his place as one of the most intentional voices in global electronic music following breakout singles “Temptation” featuring Bipolar Sunshine and “Jackie B,” while Italian duo Moeaike, known for their 2024 breakout hit “Mala Fama,” join a prestigious lineage of artists including Layton Giordani, Dimension, and Lane 8 who have officially remixed “Strobe.” Since 2012, the We Are Friends series has served as a launchpad for emerging talent, introducing the world to artists such as REZZ, i_o, ATTLAS, BlackGummy, and No Mana. Over a decade since its formation, mau5trap has become a bastion for trailblazing, genre-defying artists, with Mixmag readers voting it among the Top 50 Labels of the Decade, placing it in the Top 10.

Della Mae Share “Family Tree” Ahead Of New Album ‘Magic Accident’ Arriving January 23

0

Della Mae release “Family Tree,” the second single from their upcoming album ‘Magic Accident’, arriving January 23 via Compass Records. Band founder and fiddler Kimber Ludiker channels the modal, Appalachian fiddle tune tradition on the new single, co-written with Della Mae’s guitarist Avril Smith and singer-songwriter Becky Warren. The track offers one of the album’s most bluegrass-heavy moments with Ludiker’s hard driving fiddle propelled by Alison Brown’s banjo, delivering a meditation on generational trauma, how to recognize the cycle, cope with it, and ultimately break it. ‘Magic Accident’ marks the first full length release from Della Mae since 2021’s ‘Family Reunion’, showcasing the band’s vocal strength, instrumental skill and songwriting prowess on a set of mostly original songs drawing inspiration from Americana-influenced tracks, hard-driving bluegrass romps, and dreamy indie-folk-inspired material.

The band explains the new project: “We are incredibly proud to share this album, produced by our hero Alison Brown. Magic Accident explores the complexity of being human and the drive to seize joy and possibility amid the sheer improbability of being here at all. Each of us contributed songs to this project, making it our most collaborative record to date, and it features co-writes with artists we’ve long admired.” Since forming in Boston in 2010, Della Mae has demonstrated to the roots music community that an all-women band operates far beyond novelty. Their 2013 Rounder Records release ‘This World Oft Can Be’ earned their first GRAMMY nomination for Best Bluegrass Album, with the International Bluegrass Music Association naming them Emerging Artist of the Year the same year. Over the years, Della Mae has performed in more than 30 countries representing the U.S. State Department and played at nearly every major festival on the U.S. roots music circuit.

The Black Crowes Drop New Album ‘A Pound Of Feathers’ On March 13

0

The Black Crowes drop a new studio album titled ‘A Pound of Feathers’ on March 13, following their busy past few years highlighted by high-profile tours and 2024’s ‘Happiness Bastards’. Helmed as always by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, the band recorded the 11-track album in Nashville with GRAMMY-winning producer Jay Joyce, launching the announcement with pre-release tracks “Profane Prophecy” and “Pharmacy Chronicles.” Chris Robinson describes the quick creation: “We made this record in eight to ten days. Bringing the high and inspiration from Happiness Bastards into this album, it was a natural progression. We experimented more, we wrote on instinct and how we were feeling in the moment. Rich brought a spontaneity to the record that I can’t describe, but it’s the best shit he’s ever done.”

Rich Robinson adds context to the album’s creative approach: “This album feels transformative to us. Going back to our roots, we felt that spark in the studio and how we work together. Lighting a fire that hits harder, more jagged but is still true to our musical essence.” The speed of the recording process clearly worked in the band’s favor, capturing raw energy without overthinking the material. After decades together, the Robinson brothers continue finding new ways to channel their blues and rock instincts into something that pushes their sound forward while staying rooted in what made them essential in the first place.

‘A Pound of Feathers’ Tracklist:

  1. “Profane Prophecy”
  2. “Cruel Streak”
  3. “Pharmacy Chronicles”
  4. “Do The Parasite!”
  5. “High And Lonesome”
  6. “Queen of the B-Sides”

  8. “Blood Red Regrets”
  9. “You Call This A Good Time”
  10. “Eros Blues”

Grace Annabella Anderson Releases “Time To Let You Go” Ahead Of Debut Album ‘Art, Baby’

0

Multifaceted talent Grace Annabella Anderson releases her illuminating single “Time To Let You Go,” a moment of clarity and renewal capturing the quiet power of choosing freedom, softness, and forward motion after upheaval. Built on airy textures, restrained instrumentation, and Anderson’s intimate vocal delivery, it captures release without dramatization as the latest offering from her forthcoming debut album ‘Art, Baby’, arriving February 6. Anderson shares: “‘Time To Let You Go’ feels like driving down a winding coastal highway with all of the windows down. The willowy, semi-submerged vocals in the chorus surround and illuminate the lyrics ‘time to let you go’ like flecks of sunlight, and the decision to move on feels clear, not weighted, not belabored, but freeing and natural. I wrote this song to usher in a new chapter and fresh start, decidedly putting uncertainty, conflict, and betrayal in the past and celebrating the vastness and abundance of life still ahead of me.” The song joins previously released singles “Love Potion,” “Take It Back,” “Halfway,” “Transgressor,” and title track “Art, Baby” from the 13-track record.

Produced at The Planetarium in Nashville with Thomas Dulin, ‘Art, Baby’ explores themes of nostalgia, disillusionment, and desire through poetic lyricism, confessional storytelling, and emotional reckoning. Drawing inspiration from artists like Lizzy McAlpine, Faye Webster, and Joni Mitchell, Anderson evokes similar emotional resonance in her writing and delivery. Her lyrics, informed by her background as a published poet with work featured in Mistake House Magazine, Applause Literary Journal, New Croton Review, and NYU’s West 10th where she received the Editor’s Award in Poetry, exist at the intersection of literature and sound. Beyond music, Anderson has made her mark in fashion, walking for Lanyu Couture and Sandriver Cashmere during New York Fashion Week SS26 and appearing in Lost Pattern’s “Oasis” collection, China Institute Fashion Night, and Alexis Levan’s collection for New York Bridal Fashion Week. For the recording of ‘Art, Baby’, Anderson was joined by Nate Dugger on guitar, Ian Miller on piano, Brent Milligan on bass guitar, and Tim Buell on drums, with Jake Hartsfield mixing and Joe Causey at Voyager Mastering handling mastering.

Heritage Of London Trust Acquires David Bowie’s Childhood Home For Restoration And Creative Workshop Space

0

Heritage of London Trust announces the landmark acquisition of David Bowie’s childhood home at 4 Plaistow Grove in Bromley, the modest south London terrace where the boy became David Bowie. The property served as Bowie’s creative sanctuary from ages 8 to 20, spanning 1955 to 1967, marking the site where his musical journey began and where he wrote his formative songs before regularly returning in the following years as he wrote breakthrough hit “Space Oddity,” which rocketed him to pop fame. The heritage project, due for completion in late 2027, will restore the railway workers’ cottage to its original early 1960s appearance. Working alongside curator Geoffrey Marsh, co-curator of the Victoria and Albert Museum’s definitive David Bowie Is exhibition, and utilizing a never-before-seen archive, the restoration will recreate the interior layout exactly as it was when Bowie’s father commuted to work at charity Dr Barnado’s and his mother worked as a waitress. The experience centers on Bowie’s 9 ft x 10 ft bedroom, the specific site where his trailblazing spirit was forged.

The project transcends simple bricks and mortar as a living continuation of Bowie’s legacy of free creative experimentation. Inspired by his 1969 Beckenham Arts Lab, which offered opportunities for everybody, the site will host creative and skills workshops for young people. Through the Trust’s Proud Places and Proud Prospects programmes, the house will act as a solid foundation for the next generation, teaching confidence and communication skills in the arts. A major £500,000 grant from the Jones Day Foundation, a charitable foundation funded by attorneys and staff of the Jones Day law firm, has been secured to anchor the restoration, with a public fundraising campaign launching this month. The house sits near the Edwardian Bowie bandstand, where the young musician performed in 1969 and which was restored by Bromley Council and Heritage of London Trust in 2024.

Geoffrey Marsh explains: “It was in this small house, particularly in his tiny bedroom, that Bowie evolved from an ordinary suburban schoolboy to the beginnings of an extraordinary international stardom. As he said ‘I spent so much time in my bedroom. It really was my entire world. I had books up there, my music up there, my record player. Going from my world upstairs out onto the street, I had to pass through this no-man’s-land of the living room.'” Dr Nicola Stacey, Director of Heritage of London Trust, adds: “David Bowie was a proud Londoner. Even though his career took him all over the world, he always remembered where he came from and the community that supported him as he grew up. It’s wonderful to have this opportunity to tell his story and inspire a new generation of young people and it’s really important for the heritage of London to preserve this site.” George Underwood, artist, musician and Bowie’s lifelong friend, recalls: “We spent so much time together, listening to and playing music. I’ve heard a lot of people say David’s music saved them or changed their life. It’s amazing that he could do that and even more amazing that it all started here, from such small beginnings, in this house. We were dreamers, and look what he became.” Fundraising for the project begins in January 2026 with plans to open at the end of 2027.

GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, guitar legend, and Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes releases “I’ll Be The One,” the latest single from the re-mixed and re-mastered version of his debut solo studio album ‘Tales of Ordinary Madness’, arriving January 30 via Megaforce Records. The expanded 12-track edition includes one bonus song not included on the original, produced by Chuck Leavell and co-produced by Haynes, re-mixed by Jim Scott at Plyrz Studios, and re-mastered by Greg Calbi and Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound. When ‘Tales of Ordinary Madness’ first arrived in March 1993, Warren Haynes, then a full-time member of The Allman Brothers Band, introduced himself as a solo artist with a collection balancing soulful songwriting and powerful guitar work against rock, blues, and soul. Paige Kennedy Shares Campy Breakup Anthem “Oh Honey!” Ahead Of ‘Style Over Substance’ EP Release

0

Paige Kennedy releases new single “Oh Honey!” as the last preview of their forthcoming EP ‘Style Over Substance’, arriving February 6. The bouncy retro-indebted tune covers one of life’s more relatable, albeit painful, moments with theatrical flair. Paige explains: “I’m a longtime fan of campy breakup anthems from the likes of Janet Jackson, Prince, and Annie Lennox. When I went through my own cataclysmic heartbreak, I seized the opportunity to write one myself. As someone with a penchant for theatrics, I had a lot of fun writing 80s guitar lines, stacked backing vocals and even slipping in a cheeky key change. The lyrics are raw, focusing on loss and confusion, while the instrumental is fabulously silly.” The video takes a typically slanted view of the situation, with Paige dressed as if attending a funeral while in incongruous locations like a 1950s bathroom and tiki bar, perfectly illustrating the desolation in the lyrics juxtaposing with glossy instrumentation. It follows hot on the heels of “Male Friend” and “Medical Emergency,” which set in motion the alchemy between emotional gut-punches and the absurd, cementing Paige’s ability to turn heartbreak into something you can dance to without losing the sting.

With an eye for wry vignettes and a whacky, off-the-wall persona, Paige Kennedy builds an ever-growing audience through social clips that translate into a killer live show getting feet moving on sticky floors and grassy fields alike. The London-based artist and producer from Kent has written, produced, and mixed all their music to date, combining danceable baselines with quirky lyrics and hook-laced songwriting. Paige’s self-released tracks have gained serious traction on BBC Radio, securing accolades including Radio 1 Introducing Track of the Week and 6 Music Recommends Track, with airplay from Greg James, Jack Saunders, Vick and Jordan, Arielle Free, Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, and crucial champion John Kennedy at Radio X. Live gigs include a sold-out recent debut London headline at The George Tavern and full UK support runs for She Drew The Gun and Moonchild Sanelly, alongside previous spots supporting BC Camplight and Billy No Mates. Festival appearances span the DIY Stage at The Great Escape, Trans Musicales, Homobloc, Boia Festival, Liverpool Sound City, Focus Wales, Swn, Left of the Dial Rotterdam, the BBC Introducing Stage at Latitude Festival, Night Currents, Multitude Festival, and Manchester International Festival. The EP will be supported by a headline tour through February.
