On April 22, viaim hosted the world’s first “Silent Party” in Shanghai, harnessing its innovative AI-powered RecDot earbuds to bridge communication gaps and empower barrier-free interactions. Dedicated to inclusivity and environmental sustainability, the event celebrated Earth Day by uniting diverse communities, particularly highlighting hearing-impaired individuals, through music and cutting-edge technology.

Named the “2025 Earth Day Silent Party,” participants at the event experienced firsthand the transformative capabilities of viaim’s RecDot earbuds, featuring real-time multilingual speech-to-text and text-to-speech conversion in both English and Chinese. Throughout the event, real-time subtitles were projected onto large screens, enabling participants to visually engage with conversations and performances. Attendees leveraged viaim’s earbuds to facilitate direct, point-to-point communication across groups, effectively removing traditional barriers for hearing-impaired individuals and fostering a genuinely inclusive environment.

As well as recognizing the achievements of the deaf community, the party also featured many fun and interactive activities, including silent games, artistic performances, low-frequency music experiences, and innovative social card games. Sho-Bud, the brand behind the sound of classic American music, is back where it belongs: in the hands of the Jackson family. After nearly 70 years of shaping music history, the legendary pedal steel brand is being reborn with new instruments, new innovations, and a new generation of tone chasers behind it.

Founded in 1955 by steel guitar pioneers Shot Jackson and Buddy Emmons, Sho-Bud became synonymous with the “Nashville Sound”, a staple on the Grand Ole Opry stage and in studios from Bakersfield to Brooklyn. Its signature tone helped define the careers of artists like Lloyd Green, Jerry Byrd, Ralph Mooney, and Pete Drake, and influenced the sound of entire genres.

Rock The Bells, the pioneering Hip-Hop platform founded by LL COOL J, has officially announced the lineup for its 2025 festival. In partnership with the Black Promoters Collective, the festival will make its New Jersey debut at Newark’s Prudential Center on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

This year’s theme, Class of 2025: Summer’s Kool, sets the tone for a standout celebration of musical legends, cultural trailblazers, and the lasting impact of Hip-Hop. The evening will carry the energy of a Hip-Hop homecoming — where iconic voices across the genre come together to celebrate the sound, the style, and the spirit of the culture.

This year’s lineup spans generations and genres, bringing together hitmakers and cultural torchbearers, including Busta Rhymes, Redman, Eric B. & Rakim, Remy Ma, Too $hort, Scarface, Plies, Boosie, Fabolous, Lil’ Mo, and more. Hosted by the first lady of rap, Roxanne Shante, and soundtracked by the legendary Kid Capri, the night promises to be a masterclass in Hip-Hop and artistry. Paying homage to one of the most influential labels in Black music history, the Uptown Records Celebration—curated by DJ Eddie F—will feature performances by Al B. Sure!, Donell Jones, Christopher Williams, Soul For Real, and others, delivering a set full of songs the culture knows and loves.

Before being offered to the general public, the Rock the Bells Festival goes on presale from Tuesday, April 23, at 11:59 PM EST to Thursday, April 25, at 10:00 AM EST.  The local, venue, and promoter presale begins on Thursday, April 24, at 10:00 AM EST and ends at 11:59 PM EST.   • Sonic Trailblazers: Eric B. & Rakim, two of the most influential figures in Hip-Hop, reunite for a rare, must-see performance, while Capone-N-Noreaga, the duo that defined late ’90s East Coast rap, is reuniting on stage as well with their gritty lyricism and street anthems.

Today, Mempho Presents announced the daily schedule for the Mempho Fest Music Festival on October 3rd – 5th at Radians Amphitheater at Memphis Botanic Gardens. The Adams Keegan Stage will host headliners Widespread Panic and Tyler Childers, and also Sierra Ferrell, Lukas Nelson, Mavis Staples, Galactic, and John R. Miller. The Bud Light stage will feature Father John Misty, Flaming Lips, Charley Crockett, The Pharcyde, Lucero, Leftover Salmon, High Fade, and Amy Lavere. Puddles Pity Party and Kevn Kinney Band take over the Shell Stage with additional weekend acts, Annie and the Caldwells, Bloodkin, and Gia Welch Trio.
