Today, Baby Volcano releases her second EP SUPERVIVENXIA.
The title SUPERVIVENXIA is a blend of the Spanish words “sobrevivencia” (survival) and “supervivencia” (super-alive), encapsulating the EP’s essence: living life fully, embracing its sorrows as much as its joyous madness.
“For me, being ‘super-alive’ is about feeling deeply, facing life head-on, and channeling both vulnerability and energy” confides Baby Volcano. SUPERVIVENXIA is a fictional space, a mindset, a vibe. It’s a talisman to help navigate personal and global challenges. These tracks are as fiery as they are soothing, bursting with positive energy and raw emotion.”

Baby Volcano erupted on the Swiss underground music scene with her debut EP “Síndrome Premenstrual” (2021). Trained in contemporary dance and performance in Buenos Aires, she captivates audiences with her powerful, sensitive, and avant-garde live shows. In just two years, she has performed at major festivals across Europe, including Roskilde, Eurockéennes de Belfort, Paléo Festival, Dour Festival, Les Vieilles Charrues, Transmusicales. 2024 saw her push artistic boundaries further with a festival tour in Quebec (International Jazz Festival in Montréal, Les Fêtes de Québec, La Noce) and a landmark performance at the SAKIFO Festival on Réunion Island. Baby Volcano’s hybrid, visceral, and boundary-pushing music, combined with her bold creative vision, continues to redefine the standards of contemporary artistic expression.
Acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer and Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame nominee Darrell Scott is excited to announce the Sunday, June 15 (Father’s Day) release of Wayne’s Pain, his father Wayne Scott’s posthumous sophomore album. Helmed by Darrell Scott and being issued 14 years after his father’s death, Wayne’s Pain contains 12 songs that demonstrate the mastery of Wayne’s chosen genre. As the title implies, Wayne now reveals how deep he could dig into the mines of loneliness and alcohol and return with frighteningly honest musical gems.
Lifted from the sessions that yielded This Weary Way, Wayne Scott’s 2005 debut album, and featuring the same musicians – Darrell Scott, guitarist Dan Dugmore, fiddler Casey Driessen, bassist Dennis Crouch, keyboardist Dirk Powell, bassist Danny Thompson and singer Suzi Ragsdale – the new collection spotlights some of the darkest, most unsettling songs from those recordings, songs every bit as desolate as their titles (“I Know What It’s Like To Be Alone,” “I’m Here Alone,” “If The Bottle Don’t Kill Me”). Here is a whole other side of Wayne Scott.
“Dad’s honest, deep, unflinching, real-life songs kept shining through the years, inspiring me to keep moving forward; his writing and his singing lit the way,” Darrell Scott said. “All five of his sons: Denny, Dale, Darrell, Don, David and my son, Abraham, also worked on this recording – three generations of Scotts. Homemade songs truly made for home.”
Music has always had the power to say what words alone sometimes can’t. During the Vietnam War era, songs became a lifeline — for the soldiers fighting, the families waiting, and the millions protesting. These 20 songs didn’t just capture a moment in time; they captured the heartbeat of a generation.
1. Creedence Clearwater Revival – “Fortunate Son” Nothing screams 1969 quite like “Fortunate Son.” It’s not just a protest song — it’s an anthem for every kid who didn’t have a rich father to keep them out of the draft.
2. Buffalo Springfield – “For What It’s Worth” Written about protests on Sunset Strip, it quickly became a soundtrack for every movement against injustice — especially the growing unrest over Vietnam.
3. Edwin Starr – “War” “War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing!” Edwin Starr didn’t leave much room for interpretation, and the world sang along — fists in the air.
4. Country Joe & The Fish – “I-Feel-Like-I’m-Fixin’-to-Die Rag” With a sarcastic grin, Country Joe McDonald offered the bluntest, most biting take on the draft and the futility of war. “Be the first one on your block to have your boy come home in a box.”
5. Marvin Gaye – “What’s Going On” Marvin Gaye didn’t just ask a question — he begged for answers. His soul-stirring voice gave the anti-war movement its most beautiful, heartbreaking anthem.
6. Bob Dylan – “Blowin’ in the Wind” Written before Vietnam escalated, Dylan’s timeless questions floated across every protest march. By the mid-60s, it was a prayer for peace.
7. Jimi Hendrix – “Machine Gun” Hendrix’s guitar didn’t just sing — it wept and wailed like the battle cries of the soldiers he honored. Few songs ever captured the sound of chaos so vividly.
8. Peter, Paul and Mary – “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” Soft, sweet, and devastating, this folk standard made listeners stop and wonder — where had the hope gone? And when would it return?
9. Barry McGuire – “Eve of Destruction” In two minutes and thirty-eight seconds, Barry McGuire unleashed every fear, frustration, and fury of the 1960s. His voice cracked with urgency, and it still chills today.
10. Bruce Springsteen – “Born in the U.S.A.” Often misunderstood as patriotic, Springsteen’s anthem tells the tough story of a Vietnam vet struggling to find his place in a changed America.
11. The Doors – “The Unknown Soldier” Jim Morrison’s chilling theatricality and the band’s experimental sound turned the fallen soldier into a haunting symbol of a nation losing its way.
12. Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young – “Ohio” Written about the Kent State shootings, “Ohio” captured the horror and helplessness of watching young Americans die on American soil because of a war far away.
13. Phil Ochs – “I Ain’t Marching Anymore” Phil Ochs had no patience for sugarcoating. His clear-eyed anthem to resistance is as blunt and brave as anything ever written about war.
14. The Rolling Stones – “Gimme Shelter” War, violence, and fear drip from every note of “Gimme Shelter.” It’s not explicitly about Vietnam, but it feels like it was ripped straight from the front lines.
15. Arlo Guthrie – “Alice’s Restaurant” In a hilarious and brilliant 18-minute story-song, Guthrie painted a surreal picture of draft boards and absurdity. Sometimes the best protest comes with a wink.
16. John Lennon – “Give Peace a Chance” Recorded during his Bed-In for Peace, Lennon’s simple, sing-along chorus became a global rallying cry. Sometimes the simplest message is the most powerful.
17. Paul Hardcastle – “19” With a haunting electronic pulse, Paul Hardcastle brought the Vietnam War back into the headlines in 1985. “19” focused on the shocking fact that the average age of a U.S. combat soldier was just 19 years old. Sometimes, statistics hit harder when set to a beat.
18. Joan Baez – “Saigon Bride” Quiet, sorrowful, and deeply human, Baez’s ode to love and loss in Vietnam reminds us that every casualty of war had a face, a family, and a story.
19. The Temptations – “Ball of Confusion (That’s What the World Is Today)” A swirling, funky snapshot of a world in turmoil, “Ball of Confusion” captures everything — racial tension, political chaos, and yes, the despair of endless war.
20. Simon & Garfunkel – “7 O’Clock News/Silent Night” This haunting track pairs the gentle beauty of “Silent Night” with grim news broadcasts about Vietnam. It’s chilling, brilliant, and unforgettable.
The Vietnam War didn’t just change history — it changed music forever. These songs remind us that in the face of confusion, heartbreak, and war, there’s always someone with a guitar (or sampler) and a story, trying to make sense of it all.
Zara Larsson kicks open the door to her brazen new era with “Pretty Ugly.” The electro-blasted single and its gloriously messy music video lean all the way into the idea that – as Zara sings – “sometimes a girl don’t wanna be well-behaved.”
“Pretty Ugly” was written by Zara alongside MNEK, Helena Gao, and Margo Wildman, and produced by Margo XS and MNEK. It fittingly feels made to turn arena grounds into mosh pits. Low-slung electro and iconic ’90s house keys power Zara’s swaggering verses, but the chorus explodes with a confident shout-along hook over a blown-out beat: “Have you ever seen a pretty girl get ugly like this? / Messy like this? / Losing her sh*t?” It’s an open embrace of “bad” behavior summed up by the line, “F*** the ladylike, more like crazy-like.”
The “Pretty Ugly” music video, directed by Charlotte Rutherford (PinkPanthress, Charli XCX, Ashnniko), and choreographed by Zoi Tatopoulos (FKA Twigz), brings that rowdy energy to life as Zara pulls up barefoot in a retro VW to an open field full of women stretching. When she flips a switch on a huge wall of speakers, the bass blows her back and she arises in formation with the girls – but their cheer-tight choreography soon devolves into something far more fierce, feral, and mud-caked as rain pours down and chaos reigns.
The new song arrives ahead of Zara’s fourth international album – coming later this year- and follows the news that she’ll be hitting arenas across North America in August and September on Tate McCrae’s Miss Possessive Tour.
Last year, she released her lauded album VENUS – a powerful showcase of her elevated sound, eclectic style, and unifying vision. Not to mention, her single “Symphony” with Clean Bandit repenetrated the culture with a boisterous meme moment that has helped the video achieve over 1.3 billion views, as the song topped the TikTok Billboard chart for several weeks. It’s kismet then that Zara’s forthcoming, much anticipated body of work channels the popstar at her most unfiltered and authentic. The album is her true essence, capturing lightening in a bottle in a way that only she can. “Pretty Ugly” then is completely undeniable, as Zara looks to the future, boldly and loudly setting off her most exciting chapter yet with a firecracker.
Watch this space for more information coming soon. Things are about to get pretty ugly in the best way.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Some Might Say” this week, Oasis have re-released their seminal single on limited-edition, pearl colored, numbered, 7″ vinyl. They’ve also released a brand-new visualizer for the track.
The release of “Some Might Say” was monumental in Oasis’ journey. As the first single released from the indomitable (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? and the band’s first ever number one in the UK Singles Chart, it marked a remarkable beginning to their second album. It was met with widespread critical and commercial acclaim at the time of release, also entering the top ten in Finland, Iceland, Ireland and Sweden.
(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, which is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this October, went on to become a cultural phenomenon, elevating Oasis to massive heights on the global stage. It spawned countless era-defining moments, with “Some Might Say” the starting gun to it all. The single arrived only eight months after the band’s prodigious debut album, Definitely Maybe. In the short intervening period, Oasis were able to capitalize on their initial success and bring it to new places through the development of their sound. The huge, stadium fillers heard across (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? are beloved by fans around the world with the album having sold over 25 million copies worldwide.
The 30th anniversary of “Some Might Say” comes during another era-defining period for the iconic band, with the sold-out Oasis Live ’25 tour an undisputable, worldwide phenomenon. Unprecedented demand and a resounding global appetite made the announcement the music story of 2024 and what is unquestionably the musical event of 2025.
The anniversary also follows the release of Time Flies… 1994 – 2009, the complete singles collection, reissued as a limited edition, 4 coloured LP, numbered, box set for this years’ Record Store Day which charted at no.3 in the UK official albums chart last week.

In a career defined by evolution, Joe Bonamassa is ready to turn the page once again. The blues-rock virtuoso has just announced Breakthrough, his most adventurous and genre-blending studio album to date, out July 18th via his own J&R Adventures. At the heart of the announcement is the release of the album’s powerful title track-“Breakthrough”-a soulful, hard-hitting anthem about letting go, moving forward, and finding your fire again, available today on all streaming platforms.
Crafted across multiple continents and infused with a world’s worth of inspiration, Breakthrough marks a bold new chapter for Bonamassa-one that leans on fiery solos, emotionally rich storytelling, groove-driven arrangements, and stylistic exploration. Produced by long-time creative partner Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, The Black Crowes, Journey), the album was shaped by sessions in Greece, Egypt, Nashville, and Los Angeles, resulting in a vibrant sonic tapestry that shifts effortlessly from funky blues and Texas swing to acoustic ballads and swaggering hard rock.
“I think this album, Breakthrough, marks a shift in the styling of Joe Bonamassa’s recording output,” says Shirley. “While there are plenty of guitar solos on this record, his emphasis has been on songs primarily. Each time Joe undertakes a new recording project, he seems to access a different part of his vast library of music genre from the jukebox-in-his-head! This album is a round-the-world musical trip-from Little Feat funkiness to Texas swing, from hard rock power to acoustic singer/songwriter-style songs.”
The newly released single “Breakthrough,” co-written with long-time collaborator Tom Hambridge (Buddy Guy, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd), captures the emotional core of the record-an uplifting anthem about transformation, persistence, and letting go of the weight that holds us back. With gritty vocals, melodic guitar lines, and lush instrumentation, the track embodies Bonamassa’s signature blend of power and finesse while ushering in a bold new direction.
Linkin Park reveal a new track entitled “Unshatter” out now via Warner Records. It’s the next unreleased track to be unlocked from the Deluxe Edition of their acclaimed album FROM ZERO, which lands on May 16.
Right out of the gate, a stomping groove sets the pace for “Unshatter.” Distorted guitar crunch and kinetic production lays the framework for Mike Shinoda’s signature wordplay and airtight cadence. He passes the mic to Emily Armstrong whose gritty delivery drives the refrain. “‘Unshatter’ was an early track we made while recording From Zero,” Shinoda explains. “Emily’s huge vocal in the bridge was one of the moments that gave us an indication of what was possible together.” Teeming with emotion and energy, it has all the makings of a LINKIN PARK staple and future live favorite.
It lands in the wake of “Up From The Bottom,” which has already generated over 24 million Spotify streams and counting as well as 16 million YouTube views on the music video. Earning acclaim, Revolver applauded, “It taps into the propulsive, pop-punk-ish and mid-tempo spirit of last year’s FROM ZERO single “The Emptiness Machine,” and likewise features piano embellishment and a bridge sporting turntables, 808 beats and more,” and NME hailed it as “ferocious” and “explosive.’
Next up, LINKIN PARK will headline and ignite the UEFA Champions League final Kick Off Show presented by Pepsi and UC3 on May 31st at the Munich Football Arena. Expect a setlist representing the best of their legacy, past and present.
Following unforgettable shows everywhere from Mexico to Tokyo, Jakarta, and beyond, the From Zero World Tour-produced by Live Nation-launches tomorrow April 26 in the U.S. Overall, it will see the band touch down on four continents. Anticipation has already reached fever pitch, resulting in 15 sellouts across the tour at legendary venues such as Wembley Stadium in London, Stade de France in Paris, and Boston’s TD Garden where a second date has been added for July 31 due to overwhelming demand. This massive global jaunt carries them through to the end of the year, concluding on November 11 in Brasilia, Brazil. Special guests Spiritbox, AFI, Architects, grandson, Jean Dawson, JPEGMAFIA, and PVRIS will join on select dates.
BETTER NOISE MUSIC is proud and excited to announce the signing of the mighty Sabaton. Today, April 25, the #1 Global Power Metal Band and one of Sweden’s most successful bands have unveiled the single and video “Templars” as the first release from their forthcoming 11th studio album.
Along with the digital release of “Templars,” SABATON is offering their fans a special one-sided 12″ vinyl single which is limited to 1000 copies worldwide and set to be released on June 27. Watch the strikingly cinematic video, filmed at two massive historical fortresses in Serbia, below and pre-order the vinyl/stream/download the track here.
SABATON-Joakim Broden (vocals), Pär Sundström (bass), Chris Rörland (guitar), Thobbe Englund (guitar), Hannes, Van Dahl (drums)-have always had a signature focus on writing songs about historical battles, wars, and acts of heroism that have solidified their impact with their loyal and longtime fans. SABATON have accumulated more than three billion streams across all streaming platforms and almost two billion views on YouTube.
“‘Templars’ is the first song we wrote for our forthcoming album and it truly brings out the theatrical side of SABATON,” says bassist Pär Sundström. “From the moment we started working on it, we were overflowing with ideas on how to bring it to life on stage. We didn’t just want to play it-we wanted to show it!”
The video for “Templars” presents a fictionalized depiction of a possible last stand for the Knights Templar. The band members take on the roles of the last remaining Templars, sworn to protect the secrets of their order. The story unfolds as the Templars intercept a letter warning them of their impending arrest for heresy. Soon after, an enemy army arrives on their doorstep demanding their surrender on behalf of King Philip IV of France. Refusing to yield, the Templars choose to fight to the bitter end. One by one, they fall in battle until only a single warrior remains. In a final, desperate clash, he defeats the enemy commander before retreating to the keep. There, he makes the ultimate sacrifice, setting fire to the stronghold to ensure the secrets of the order are lost to history.
The video was filmed at two massive historical fortresses in Serbia (Belgrade Fortress within Kalemegdan Park and Smederevo Fortress), both of which provided a striking and authentic backdrop for the epic battle scenes. To ensure both realism and safety, the band enlisted a large group of experienced reenactors, many of whom had worked in film production before. Their expertise helped bring the fight sequences to life with remarkable accuracy. Shot over the course of two long, hot days, the production faced intense summer heat, adding to the challenges of filming, but also enhancing the raw energy of the battle scenes.
As Thobbe Englund had only just rejoined the band after his almost eight-year hiatus, his bandmates wanted to mark his return in a memorable way by making him the last Templar standing, tasked with one final, epic battle. Initially, the plan was for him to wear a helmet so that a stuntman could step in for the demanding fight scene. However, the stunt coordinator had a different idea. He decided to take on the fight alongside Thobbe himself. While the battle was carefully choreographed, moments of improvisation added to its intensity. Clad in 40 kilos of armor, the two clashed with such force that the impact rumbled like an earthquake. To make things even more challenging, the scene was filmed in the scorching summer heat, and Thobbe was battling a fever at the time. Yet, he powered through, delivering a performance that was nothing short of legendary-a fitting way to mark his triumphant return to SABATON.
“We’re truly excited to begin this new chapter with Better Noise Music,” Pär Sundström comments. “After exploring various record labels worldwide, we found Better Noise to be the perfect fit. As an independent label, they haven’t traditionally focused on our style of heavy metal, making this collaboration particularly exciting. We’re excited to see how this partnership develops, confident that they’re ready to embrace the challenge of working with a band that brings a unique sound to their roster.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome SABATON to our roster,” says Lexie Viklund, the label’s Director of A&R. “Their powerful music and storytelling have resonated with fans worldwide, and we’re eager to amplify their presence in the U.S. while continuing to grow their global impact.”
