Suki Waterhouse Kicks Off a New Era With Horn-Driven Anthem “Back in Love” Out Now

Suki Waterhouse opens a new chapter today. “Back in Love,” her first release on Island Records, is out now alongside a vibrant music video directed by Kaz Firpo, and it arrives with the kind of sound that announces itself immediately. A roaring horn section kicks everything off, rooted in grand instrumentation that blends the flair of 70s rock with 90s psychedelia, and the result is one of the most joyous and buoyant tracks Waterhouse has released to date.

Co-written with longtime collaborators Natalie Findlay and Jules Apollinaire, who also produced the track, “Back in Love” is about returning to yourself after an identity shift. Waterhouse puts it plainly: “For me, it’s about coming back to your sense of self after having an identity shift.” The music video sets that theme inside an eternal nightclub, fantastical and alive, with Waterhouse commanding every frame.

The single marks the first glimpse at her forthcoming record, the follow-up to ‘Memoir of a Sparklemuffin,’ the critically acclaimed album that earned praise from Interview Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, and SPIN, and established Waterhouse as an evocative storyteller and a powerhouse live performer. That record’s success set the stage for everything that follows, and “Back in Love” makes clear the next chapter is going to be worth the wait.

Waterhouse returns to the Lollapalooza stage this summer, where fans will get an early live look at new material. “Back in Love” is out now on Island Records.

Fourteen years after her groundbreaking debut ‘Heal,’ Loreen releases ‘Wildfire’ today via Polydor France, and it is the album her catalog has been building toward. Expansive, emotionally charged, and genre-fluid, ‘Wildfire’ moves through emotive ballads, pulsating electronic production, and euphoric transcendent moments across 13 tracks that reveal the full spectrum of one of global pop’s most distinctive voices. British-Sudanese Vocalist Elmiene Releases Deeply Personal Debut Album ‘sounds for someone’ Out Now

Elmiene has made his statement. ‘sounds for someone,’ the debut album from the British-Sudanese vocalist and songwriter, is out today, a 12-track record that traces two decades of familial trials and triumphs through soul, R&B, and genre-defying arrangements that refuse to stay in one place. It opens with “Moment,” a slow, piano-driven invitation to lower your guard, and earns that vulnerability across every track that follows. Listen here.

The album carries serious creative weight behind it. Production comes from Sampha, Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman, and GRAMMY Award-winning producers No I.D. and Raphael Saadiq, who also appears as a featured artist on “Light By The Window.” “Saviour,” co-written with Sampha, premiered as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record before the album’s release. Lead single “Lie With Me” showcases the soul and R&B command that has made Elmiene one of the most talked-about new voices in the genre. As Elmiene puts it: “I hope this album is a testament to the notion that people only die when they are forgotten.”

The milestones have been stacking up fast. His NPR Tiny Desk Concert has surpassed one million views. He sold out O2 Academy Brixton. He supported Stevie Wonder at British Summer Time Hyde Park. His mixtape ‘Heat The Streets’ earned nominations for Best R&B/Soul Act and Best Male Act at the 2026 MOBO Awards and Outstanding New Artist at the 2026 NAACP Image Awards. Spotify, Apple Music, MTV, NME, The Guardian, and BBC have all flagged him as an artist to watch.

A headline North American tour kicks off April 30 in Detroit, running through May 31 in Los Angeles, followed by a UK and European run starting November 29 in Amsterdam and closing December 8 at London’s Eventim Apollo. Tickets are on sale now.

Yeat has arrived with his most expansive project to date. ‘ADL (A Dangerous Lyfe / A Dangerous Love)’ is a 21-track double album out now via Lyfestyle Corporation, Field Trip, and Capitol Records, featuring an extraordinary roster of collaborators including Elton John, Grimes, NBA YoungBoy, Kid Cudi, Don Toliver, 070 Shake, Joji, Julia Wolf, and Swizz Beatz. The rollout matched the scale of the music. Commuters in New York City encountered a prosthetic arm hanging out of a taxi with a bumper sticker reading “LYFE IS DANGEROUS.” Yeat hosted Twizz City Night at a Portland Trail Blazers game. He sat down with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe for his first interview in five years. He became the first rapper to release official album box sets and CDs with Nike. A full-page spread in the New York Times announced the album’s features. This was not a quiet campaign.

The numbers behind Yeat make the ambition of ‘ADL’ entirely logical. Six Billboard Top 10 album debuts in under three years, including ‘LYFESTYLE’ hitting Number 1 in 2024 with 89K equivalent album units in its first week. Over 8 billion global streams. A surprise performance joining Anyma at the Las Vegas Sphere, making him the first rapper to perform at the venue. A 120K-plus crowd at Romania’s Beach, Please! Festival. His collaboration with Drake, “IDGAF,” debuted at Number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Number 1 on the Billboard Global 200.

‘ADL’ is the work of an artist who has been building toward something larger with every release. The features are not decoration. They are evidence of how far Yeat’s reach has extended, from rap’s inner circle to Elton John and Grimes, a range that few artists at any stage of their career could credibly pull off.

Spotify’s New SongDNA Feature Pulls Back the Curtain on the Creative Connections Behind Your Favorite Tracks

Spotify has launched SongDNA, a new beta feature now rolling out to Premium users globally that maps the creative DNA behind individual songs directly inside the Now Playing view. Tap the SongDNA card on any supported track and you can explore the writers, producers, and collaborators behind it, trace samples and interpolations that shaped its sound, and browse the covers it inspired. From there, tap any collaborator to discover who else they have worked with, and keep following the thread as far as it goes.

The feature turns a single song into an entry point for genuine discovery, connecting artists, eras, and genres in ways that reward curiosity. The data powering SongDNA comes from a combination of artist and label submissions alongside community-sourced information, with artist and label teams able to review and manage their own SongDNA details directly through Spotify for Artists. Jacqueline Ankner, Spotify’s Head of Songwriter and Publisher Partnerships, describes the goal plainly: making a song’s creative lineage more transparent while giving songwriters, producers, and rights holders meaningful recognition for their contributions.

SongDNA sits alongside the existing About the Song feature, but operates differently. Where About the Song tells you the story behind a specific track, SongDNA builds an interactive world around it, one fans can explore at their own pace and in any direction. It is a meaningful step toward closing the gap between listeners and the full creative teams behind the music they love.

The feature is live now in beta for Premium users on iOS and Android, with broad availability to all Premium users rolling out through April.

The Belgian pianist and composer releases “Twinkle” now, the first track from his upcoming EP ‘Three Notes,’ due May 1 via London independent label Bigo & Twigetti. A contemporary piano waltz built on warmth, flowing triple time, and melodic hooks that linger, “Twinkle” is a confident, glowing piece of work from an artist operating with real creative momentum.

‘Three Notes’ is a three-track collection of contemporary waltzes, each piece distinct but unified by the graceful, unhurried sensibility that has made Trouvé’s music connect with listeners in a genuine way. His catalog has surpassed 20 million streams across platforms, drawing on influences ranging from Erik Satie and Philip Glass to Ludovico Einaudi. The EP follows last year’s ‘Delight,’ itself inspired by Trouvé’s relocation from France to Bali with his family, a move that has clearly opened up new creative territory.

‘Three Notes’ also arrives ahead of his full-length album ‘Hidup,’ due in June, making this a particularly rich stretch for an artist who composes for film, TV, and advertising alongside his solo work. Malvern Indie Rockers Linkwells Drop Anthemic New Single “Can’t Chase Yesterday” Out Now

Linkwells are not slowing down. The Malvern four-piece have released “Can’t Chase Yesterday” today on Flip Flop Records, an uplifting, melody-driven indie rock anthem about releasing the past and meeting the present head-on. The accompanying video is out now, and the song lands with the kind of Britpop-rooted energy that has drawn comparisons to The Stone Roses, Oasis, The Verve, and Stereophonics.

The band, comprising Keith Forde on vocals and guitars, Mike Bannister on guitar, Andy D on bass and vocals, and James Elliot-Williams on drums, signed to Flip Flop Records, the label run by legendary producer Nick Brine, whose credits include Oasis, The Stone Roses, and Bruce Springsteen. That association speaks to the serious sonic territory Linkwells are operating in. “Can’t Chase Yesterday” is reflective and rousing in equal measure, the kind of track that earns its optimism rather than simply declaring it.

With six singles and an EP already in the catalog, Linkwells have built an international audience spanning England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, Australia, Indonesia, Canada, and the United States. BBC Introducing has called them “an incredible band.” The momentum is real and growing with each release.

More music is coming from Linkwells throughout the year. “Can’t Chase Yesterday” is out now on Flip Flop Records.

Fred Again.. and Thomas Bangalter’s Historic Alexandra Palace Set Premieres on YouTube Tomorrow

Fred Again.. closed out one of the most ambitious live campaigns in recent electronic music history, and now the world gets to see exactly how it ended. The full recording of his final USB002 show at London’s Alexandra Palace premieres on YouTube tomorrow at 5pm UK, 1pm NYC, and 10am LA, and it features something almost nobody expected: Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk playing back-to-back with Fred to close the night, only his second live appearance in nearly 20 years.

The USB002 run was a genuinely remarkable undertaking. Ten shows, ten cities, ten weeks, wrapping with residencies in New York and London at the end of 2025. Each show brought a staggering lineup of collaborators to the stage. The Alexandra Palace closing night alone featured Benga, Berwyn, Blanco, CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso, Coki, D Double E, Durrty Goodz, Ezra Collective, Flowdan, Hamdi, Kano, Jamie T, JME, JOY Anonymous, La Roux, Mala, MPH, Nia Archives, Oppidan, Romy, The Streets, Skream, and Underworld. That is not a guest list. That is a festival.

The Bangalter appearance is the centerpiece. One of electronic music’s most legendary figures, largely absent from live performance for the better part of two decades, stepping back onto a stage to close out a show with one of the most vital artists working in the genre right now. The significance of that moment is hard to overstate.
