Filmore opens 2026 with a stormy new single that cuts straight to the emotional core. The rising country-rock maverick has released “Love At First Fight,” the latest preview of his upcoming album ‘Atypical’, arriving February 20 through Pitbull’s Mr. 305 Records.

The track steps away from the party-ready spark of his collaboration with Pitbull on “Yeehaw.” Instead, “Love At First Fight” dives headfirst into a relationship fueled by friction. Stark guitar tones and moody beats set the tone before the song surges into a chorus that captures the messy pull of love and conflict.

Filmore wrote the song alongside Lindsay Rimes and Josh Hoge, drawing inspiration from real experiences. “When we wrote this song, it came really easily, thinking of past experiences,” he explains. “I think everyone at one point in their life goes through a ‘love at first fight’ type relationship.”

Co-produced by John-Luke Carter and Filmore, the track leans into the Missouri native’s raspy lower register. The arrangement begins as a slow-burning reflection before exploding into a blistering guitar solo that mirrors the escalating tension inside the story.

‘Atypical’ marks Filmore’s first full-length album since his 2023 release ‘Mean Something’. The ambitious 21-song project blends outlaw country, rock, and hip-hop elements, reflecting the wide creative range that has made Filmore one of the genre’s most intriguing rising voices.

McBryde wrote the track alongside Terri Jo Box and Randall Clay. The idea came together during a late-night conversation around a fire pit. “It’s about the leaps of faith that you do or don’t take, and having to learn to live with those consequences either way,” McBryde explains.

The song arrives with a striking music video directed by Brandon Campbell. Inspired by a true story, the visual unfolds as a flashback during an EMDR therapy session, tracing a deeply emotional narrative centered on young love, friendship, and the weight of life-altering decisions.

McBryde has also launched the 2026 leg of her Redemption Residency in Nashville. The run began with intimate solo acoustic performances at Chief’s Neon Steeple, followed by upcoming “Postcards From Lindeville” shows that spotlight character-driven songs from across her catalog.

Written by Tenpenny alongside Andy Albert and Cory Crowder, the song flips the idea of a “phase” into a relationship story. The track explores the personal shifts people experience as they move through love, life, and self-discovery, turning a familiar phrase into a fresh country hook.

“We went into the writing session with the goal of writing something with a cool play on words,” Tenpenny explains. “When I heard the phrase ‘you phase’ mentioned in the room that day, I knew exactly how to write this song.”

Tenpenny says the concept reflects real moments from his own life. “I’ve personally had so many phases in my life, some good and some bad. Referring to a phase in the song as a relationship was certainly a unique concept.”

“You Phase” follows Tenpenny’s late 2025 release “Therapy” and signals more new music ahead this year. The singer-songwriter will also appear at the 20th anniversary celebration of The Listening Room, performing at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium alongside Hardy, Blessing Offor, Jo Dee Messina, and several of the city’s top songwriters.

Atlus is stepping into a new chapter with the announcement of his label debut album ‘Art Of Letting Go’. The 15-track project arrives March 20 through BBR Music Group and BMG Nashville and captures the rising country-rock voice at his most personal and unfiltered.

The album blends country foundations with touches of rock, pop, and hip-hop, reflecting the wide-ranging influences that shaped Atlus’ underground rise. Produced by Andrew Baylis, the record highlights the emotional honesty that has fueled the singer-songwriter’s connection with fans.

The project is previewed by the new song “Spare Key”, a driving track built around the symbolism of leaving the door open to love. Atlus explains the idea simply. Loving someone deeply means accepting vulnerability, even when the relationship ends and the pain remains.

“This album is honest and unbelievably personal,” Atlus says. “Like the experiences that inspired the songs, some are fun and some are intense. Making this record, I truly let go of a lot of the fears, pain, and trauma I’ve carried for years.”

Before signing with BBR Music Group and BMG Nashville, Atlus built a massive grassroots following through independent releases and relentless work. The former truck driver wrote songs behind the wheel while working multiple jobs to support his family and fund his music career.

The grind paid off. Atlus has surpassed one billion on-demand streams, scored a platinum release, and shared the stage with Jelly Roll at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. ‘Art Of Letting Go’ now stands as a defining moment for a songwriter who turned hard roads into powerful music.

“Pop Dat Thang” rides a fast-paced, club-ready beat designed for late-night energy. Heavy bounce, sharp rhythm, and confident delivery drive the record forward as DaBaby locks into the kind of high-impact flow that made him one of rap’s most recognizable voices.

The single continues a steady wave of releases leading into the album. Recent tracks include “Don’t Insult Me” featuring Twin, “Paper Low,” “Out Ya Business,” “PBJT,” and “Letter To My YN.” Several of the songs have arrived with striking visuals that reinforce both the attitude and message behind the music.

Director Nick Mays helmed the video for “Don’t Insult Me,” featuring DaBaby alongside his daughter Twin in a visual focused on identity and perception. Other releases include a black-and-white video for “Out Ya Business” and the cinematic clip for “Letter To My YN,” which stars his nephew Messiah.

Swedish Hard Rockers Thundermother Capture Raw Stage Power On ‘Live’n’Alive’ Album

Thundermother are bringing their explosive stage energy straight to fans with the announcement of their first live album, ‘Live’n’Alive’. The Swedish hard rockers will release the 19-track live collection digitally on April 17 through Napalm Records.

Recorded during the group’s 2025 European headline run behind their album ‘Dirty & Divine’, the record captures the band exactly as they sound on stage. No backing tracks. No overdubs. Just pure live rock and roll from guitarist Filippa Nässil, vocalist Linnéa Vikström Egg, bassist Majsan Lindberg, and drummer Joan Massing.

The first taste arrives with “Whatever – Live in Gothenburg”, recorded during the band’s October 2025 performance in their home country. Originally appearing on the group’s 2018 self-titled album, the live version stretches out with a longer, four-on-the-floor guitar solo and the raw adrenaline that defines Thundermother’s shows.

“‘Whatever’ is dear to our hearts, as it’s a song we’ve played at every gig since its release in 2018,” says Filippa Nässil. “The live version differs from the studio recording, featuring a longer guitar solo. The war against drugs continues, you don’t need drugs to be rock ’n’ roll, but you do need adrenaline.”

‘Live’n’Alive’ runs through the band’s 2025 setlist and pulls highlights from across their catalog, including songs from ‘Black and Gold’, ‘Dirty & Divine’, and ‘Heat Wave’. The result is a full-throttle snapshot of Thundermother doing what they do best, loud guitars, relentless rhythm, and unapologetic rock and roll.

The Hu return with force on their new single “The Real You.” The Mongolian rock trailblazers deliver another powerful entry in their signature Hunnu Rock sound, blending traditional instrumentation and throat singing with modern rock muscle. The track is out now via Better Noise Music.

“The Real You” leans into a heavier Western rock edge while keeping the band’s cultural roots firmly in place. Hard-charging rhythms collide with atmospheric weight and gritty vocals, creating a surge of sound that feels both ancient and modern at once. The track hits with intensity and unmistakable identity.

The song was produced by Dashka, also known as Dashdondog Bayarmagnai, and mixed by five-time Grammy winner Chris Lord-Alge. Temka describes the track as a glimpse into the band’s upcoming album. “We recorded this song thinking of our ancestors riding fast on horseback through the landscape,” he explains.

Sung in Mongolian, the lyrics draw from a traditional proverb urging listeners to focus on their own character rather than judging others. The message lands with urgency and emotional force as the band channels deep cultural storytelling through thunderous rock energy.

The Hu continue to build their global impact. In 2022 they became the first rock or metal group honored as a UNESCO Artist for Peace. With hundreds of millions of streams, major touring runs, and collaborations across the rock world, the band stands as one of modern rock’s most distinctive voices.
