j-hope Releases New Solo Single ‘Sweet Dreams’ Featuring Miguel

0

j-hope of 21st century pop icons BTS released his highly-anticipated new solo single, “Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel),” alongside an accompanying music video today.

“Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)” is a soulful, heartfelt serenade that expresses the genuine desire to boldly love and be loved. The pop R&B track effortlessly merges dreamy synths, vibrant guitar strums, and soft, tender vocal riffs to sonically mirror the feeling of falling in love. The track combines the most beloved elements of pop, R&B, and hip-hop that will instinctively resonate with audiences around the world. With its universal theme of love and a refreshing mix of widely popular genres, the track has all the makings of a global smash hit.

j-hope, once again, expands his diverse portfolio of collaborators across numerous genres. “Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)” showcases the effortless chemistry between global trendsetter j-hope and trailblazing, genre-defying GRAMMY-Award winning R&B artist Miguel, with their smooth, groovy vocal performances blending seamlessly to create a rich sonic journey. Renowned producer Johnny Goldstein, songwriters Sam Martin, known for his works with Maroon 5, David Guetta, One Direction, and Sean Douglas, who has collaborated with Madonna, Sia, and more, participated in the creation of the track.

In regards to the new single, j-hope commented, “With this single having such a clear goal and direction, I feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. After much thought and effort, the song has finally come to life, and I truly hope many people will enjoy it.” Regarding his collaboration with Miguel, j-hope stated, “He is one of the artists I grew up listening to since I was young. I believed that Miguel’s distinctive, and rich voice along with his unique artistry would blend seamlessly with the song, and as expected, it turned out amazing.”

Regarding the collaboration, Miguel commented, “Sweet Dreams is really a nice reprieve, and I’m happy I got to pair with j-hope on his track.”

The single was unveiled along with a visually mesmerizing music video. The music video brings to life the fluttering thrill of falling in love through the whimsical imagery of a floating house in the sky that expands as love grows. j-hope is seen walking down the street as the floating house follows him. While the street feels more grounded in reality, the people he encounters on the street also seem to exude an otherworldly and ethereal aura. The alternating shots between the spaces symbolizing dream (the house in the sky) and reality (the street) blur the boundaries between the two. This concept is a visual ode to the track’s theme of a dreamlike love, fully enveloping viewers in its surreal, alluring ambiance.

The release of the new single comes on the heels of the launch of j-hope’s first-ever solo world tour, ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE.’ The tour will feature a total of 31 shows in 15 cities across the world, including Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium shows on April 4 and 6, where he makes history as the first male solo Korean artist to headline a stadium concert in North America. The sold-out Seoul concert from February 28 till March 2 at KSPO Dome, which marked the start of the tour, received a perfect five-star review from NME, which praised the show as proof of j-hope’s love for the stage, “reinforcing by himself with a set that highlights his multi-faceted talents and allows him to burn more powerfully than ever.” Last month, he also unveiled a surprise collaboration track “LV Bag (feat. j-hope of BTS & Pharrell Williams)” with Don Toliver, produced by Pharrell Williams for Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Fall-Winter 2025 Show.

Robert Jon & The Wreck Unleash Fiery New Single “Long Gone” Co-Written with John Oates

0

Robert Jon & The Wreck return with their brand-new single, “Long Gone,” a fiery, emotionally charged track co-written with the legendary John Oates (Hall & Oates) and produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Rival Sons, Brandi Carlile).

Now available on all major streaming platforms, “Long Gone” showcases the band’s ability to fuse raw, bluesy storytelling with the kind of soaring melodies and rock-and-roll grit that have made them a force in the modern rock landscape.

“‘Long Gone’ was a song that came from a co-write with John Oates while on a trip to Nashville,” shares frontman Robert Jon Burrison. “It was an honor to work with such a great artist. Once we brought it into the room with Dave Cobb, the song took on new life with a riveting riff and a solo that punches you in the face. A song about a relationship that can’t seem to mend, this one is sure to be relatable as well as memorable.”

Initially crafted during a writing session at the historic RCA Studio A, the song went through multiple evolutions before producer Dave Cobb reshaped it into something fresh and electrifying. “Working with Dave was one of the most inspiring things we’ve ever experienced as a band,” adds guitarist Henry James. “His ability to articulate and execute spontaneous ideas was next level. Any previous arrangement of this song we had went out the window. Dave had a completely fresh take, and after some back-and-forth of rough onomatopoeias, we just went for it. We jammed out what you hear today in just a few takes.”

“Long Gone” is a gripping blend of blues, soul, and high-octane rock, and the latest installment in what has already been a monumental year for Robert Jon & The Wreck, following the high-energy release of “Sittin’ Pretty” and the introspective “Ashes in the Snow.” Each single has revealed a new side of the band’s ever-evolving artistry, setting the stage for their highly anticipated new studio album this summer.

Bob Mould Announces ‘Here We Go Crazy’ Album & Tour, Shares New Single “When Your Heart Is Broken”

0

Bob Mould has shared a lyric for his new single “When Your Heart Is Broken” to celebrate the arrival of his new stuido album, “Here We Go Crazy,” his first new record in over four years.

He had this to say, “‘When Your Heart Is Broken’ is built from a familiar blueprint for my work: bright melodies, dark words, loud guitars. It’s one of the earliest songs written for Here We Go Crazy, and I added it to my Solo Electric set list in Fall 2022.

“Some nights, I would play ‘Too Far Down’, followed by ‘When Your Heart Is Broken’, then ask the audience: Which one of the two is heavier? To me, the musical urgency of ‘When Your Heart Is Broken’ is uplifting, the lyrical reflection offers redemption, and it’s most certainly a song I can throw myself into when playing live.”

Mould said of the album, “On the surface, this is a group of straightforward guitar-pop songs. I’m refining my primary sound and style through simplicity, brevity, and clarity.

“Under the hood, there’s a number of contrasting themes. Control and chaos, hypervigilance and helplessness, uncertainly and unconditional love.”

The music icon will be promoting the album release with new U.S. headline dates that are kicking off in San Diego, Ca on April 1st.
