0

Fresh off the heels of their historic Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination, legendary Mexican rock band MANÁ returns this fall with a spectacular new tour across the United States and Canada. Titled “Vivir Sin Aire Tour” after their iconic song of the same name, the tour promises unforgettable nights filled with energy, passion, and all the hits that have defined generations.

With a touring career spanning nearly four decades, MANÁ’s impact on music and culture is undeniable. Known for their infectious energy, socially conscious lyrics, and unwavering dedication to their craft, the band continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

The Vivir Sin Aire Tour kicks off on Friday, September 5, with back-to-back shows at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, TX. Spanning 21 cities, the tour features an unforgettable new production and a setlist filled with all the classics. Notable highlights include the band’s first-ever performances in Nashville, St. Louis, Baltimore, Montreal, and Detroit, along with multiple shows in Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, San Jose, and Miami.

This November, the band will also make a highly anticipated return to the Kia Forum in Los Angeles for four performances as part of their historic residency at the venue. With these four shows, MANÁ will break the record for most arena shows performed in Los Angeles history with a total of 44 concerts (previously held by Bruce Springsteen at 42 concerts).

The “Vivir Sin Aire Tour” is sponsored by Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel, where MANÁ has twice performed private shows at its intimate, world-class live entertainment theater.

This exciting announcement follows MANÁ’s recent nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, marking them as the first all-Spanish-language act to be nominated. This historic milestone recognizes their lasting impact on global music and their role as pioneers of Latin rock.

A portion of ticket sales will help establish the MANÁ “Latinas Luchonas” program in honor of Rosario Sierra, the late mother of vocalist Fher Olvera, whose strength and resilience continue to inspire the band. In partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, the program will empower Latina women entrepreneurs through scholarships, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. Together, they’ll uplift the next generation of Latina business owners, honoring their lucha, spirit, and contributions.TICKETS: Tickets will go on sale starting Friday, March 14 at 10am local time at Mana.com.mx.

With 11 albums and over 45 million copies sold, MANÁ has set the standard for Latin rock. Their groundbreaking album Dónde Jugarán los Niños is the best-selling Latin rock album of all-time. For over 34 years, the band’s unwavering passion for live performances has taken them across more than 30 countries, leaving a trail of history-making moments.

MANÁ holds numerous industry records, including being the highest-selling Latin tour act of all-time. They were the first act of any genre to sell out 13 shows at the Staples Center and the first artist of any genre or language to hold an arena residency in Los Angeles, where to date they have played 16 sold-out shows to over 220,000 fans. Last year, they made history by playing their first-ever show at the OVO Wembley Arena in London to a sold-out crowd. Additionally, MANÁ became the only Latin band to headline the BottleRock Festival in Napa Valley, California.

The band also boasts the most entries by a Latin rock act on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs (33 entries) and Latin Airplay (36 entries) charts. Seven of their albums have reached l No. 1  on the Billboard Latin Charts—cementing their position as the Latin rock band with the most chart-topping records.

Their monumental impact has been recognized with prestigious accolades such as 4 GRAMMY Awards, 9 Latin GRAMMYs, and the Latin Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award. MANÁ was also named Latin GRAMMY Person of the Year and honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Beyond music, MANÁ’s influence extends into social causes. For 30 years, the Selva Negra Ecological Foundation has served as their social arm, combining conservation and environmental rescue with social development. Throughout their career, they have raised awareness on environmental, social, political, and human rights issues worldwide, amplifying their impact far beyond the stage.

This upcoming tour promises to be another unforgettable chapter in MANÁ’s extraordinary journey, offering fans a career-spanning set packed with their biggest hits. Don’t miss the chance to witness one of the greatest Latin bands of all time as they continue to make history.

Rogers was discovered by Justin Tranter and has previously opened for Panic! At the Disco and Kesha in addition to playing major festivals and his own headline tour.

Lauper’s international Farewell Tour – her first major headlining run in a decade – kicked off in North America last October, and included her first time ever headlining (and selling out) Madison Square Garden.  Lauper’s performances have earned tremendous raves from the New York TimesRolling StoneBillboardVarietyVultureUSA TodayNew York Post and many more, and surprise guests including Chaka Khan, Sam Smith, and Hayley Williams made special guest appearances along the way.  The tour just visited the U.K. and Europe, and will head to Australia and Japan in April.

Lauper has also been raising money for the Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights Fund at the Tides Foundation since the Farewell Tour launched last fall. So far approximately $150,000 has been raised through direct donations fans have made at her shows and through efforts like online campaigns in partnership with FanDiem.

Lauper – the GRAMMY, EMMY and TONY-winning artist celebrated for her history-making albums, music videos, advocacy and ever-evolving style – developed a unique show to connect her hits with the visual art she loves. Original collaborations featuring the work of Yayoi Kusama, Daniel Wurtzel, fashion designer Christian Siriano, and Geoffrey Mac play a key role in the concert presentation. The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour is produced by Live Nation and designed in partnership with Brian Burke Creative.

It’s been a tremendous past 12 months for Lauper, including the recent news that she has been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s class of 2025.  In addition to her tour and the release of Let The Canary Sing, a feature-length documentary film directed by Alison Elwood streaming on Paramount Plus, she has been celebrated with appearances on Graham NortonJimmy Kimmel Live!the TODAY ShowWatch What Happens Live and The Kelly Clarkson Show.  The Empire State Building was lit in canary yellow in her honor, and she has been profiled by CBS Sunday MorningVulture, the New York Times and Variety among many others.  She was also honored with a hand imprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood (with an introduction by her friends Cher and Bebe Rexha), and introduced Sabrina Carpenter’s performance at the MTV VMA Awards last fall.

Cyndi Lauper is a Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning songwriter and performing artist with global record sales in excess of 50 million. Her iconic voice, influential punk glamor, and infectious live shows have catapulted her to stardom. Lauper won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist with her first album, She’s So Unusual, and became the first woman in history to have four top-five singles from a debut album including her anthem “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.”  Lauper has released ten additional studio albums, featuring classics like “Time After Time” and “True Colors,” and is a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and NY Times best-selling author.  In 2013, Lauper became the first solo woman to win Best Original Score (music and lyrics) for Kinky Boots. Lauper is also tireless in her advocacy work. She has been an activist since day one, always fighting for the underdog – especially women, the LGBTQ community, and youth experiencing homelessness. She has co-founded many efforts, worked with countless organizations, spoken at The White House, testified in the U.S. Senate, and raised millions of dollars in support of these causes. In the fall of 2022, in response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Lauper launched the Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights Fund at the Tides Foundation, which supports efforts that advance the civil rights and health of women and girls around the globe.

Discovered by songwriter Justin Tranter in 2020, Rogers began his path to stardom the following year when Apple Music’s Zane Lowe premiered Middle of Love,” calling him “wildly talented,” and Elton John praised him on his Rocket Hour radio show. About Jake, Elton gushed, “I love him because he reminds me of when I was starting out” and praised Jake’s songwriting: “What I love as a songwriter is that [his] songs are so beautifully formed.

”That opinion was soon shared by countless tastemakers including PeopleBillboardRolling StoneAmerican Songwriter,PAPER, and Vogue. He then made a whole new army of fans with the release of 2021’s Pluto EP, a run of North American tour dates supporting Panic! at the Disco, and unforgettable performances on Good Morning America, The Late Late Show with James CordenThe Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Late Night with Seth Meyers.

In 2022, Rogers shared his Love EP, which included numerous standout tracks such as Lavender Forever,”Hindsight,” and Dark Bird.” In 2023, he hit the road to support Kesha on her North American tour, releasing the healing anthem Window around that time. Now, Jake is gearing up for a record 2025 with the release of his debut album In The Key Of Love, arriving May 9. With recent singles God Bless and Loser,” and an entire album’s worth of new music on the horizon, Rogers returns to his mission of sharing a message of love, defiance, and — most importantly — hope.

Over the course of their longstanding career, they have released ten studio albums. The Offspring is often credited—alongside fellow California bands Green Day and Rancid—for reviving mainstream interest in punk rock in the 1990s. They have sold over 40 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling rock bands in history.

Jimmy Eat World is an alternative rock band from Mesa, AZ consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins, guitarist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch and drummer Zach Lind. The four-piece’s commercial breakthrough came with the release of several singles from their album Bleed American, with “The Middle” hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart and peaking at No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, where it spent 33 weeks total and became RIAA-certified Platinum. Futures, their follow-up to BA, featured “Pain,” which also hit No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart. In October 2019, the band released their tenth album, the critically acclaimed Surviving, which became one of three “chapters” of their 2021 globally streamed series Phoenix Sessions that also included Futures (Chapter V) and Clarity (Chapter III), performed in their entirety (available on YouTube here). Recently, they’ve released two independent singles, “Something Loud” and “Place Your Debts,” with the former charting on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay.

As New Found Glory can attest, life moves quickly. Just three years after forming in Coral Springs, Florida, in 1997, the group were fast-tracked from local upstarts to mainstream stars on the back of ebullient pop melodies and hardcore-tinged breakdowns, setting off a blast of pop-punk dynamite that still lights the torch for modern acts more than two decades later. They became the voice of an underground movement, spurring iconic gold and platinum records (2000’s New Found Glory, 2002’s Sticks & Stones, and 2004’s Catalyst), countless MTV appearances, an entire subgenre (easycore) and sold-out tours the world over. New Found Glory has always been about the same thing – honesty, community, and positivity. After 25+ years of being a band, 11 studio albums, one live album, one Christmas album, one acoustic album, two EPs, and four cover albums, New Found Glory’s ethos has never wavered; they always strive to be the friend you always need and always understands you.

BANKS Announces “Off With Her Head” North American Tour

Today, world-renowned singer-songwriter, BANKS, releases her fifth studio album entitled Off With Her Headvia ADA Worldwide, the independent label and artist services arm of Warner Music Group. The album comes off the heels of BANKS’ 10-year anniversary celebration of her debut album Goddess for which she released an acoustic version of the iconic album entitled Goddess: Unplugged. She also celebrated with a completely sold-out four-continent tour where she played special live intimate shows in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Melbourne, Australia. The tour undoubtedly fueled fan excitement for the highly awaited Off With Her Head album. Sonically reminiscent of her Goddess roots, BANKS says, “In many ways, it’s a big sister album to Goddess. After a decade apart, I’ve reunited with the core musicians and producers who helped shape my debut. At the same time, it’s something entirely different— I’ve grown so much as an artist and a person, and the journey is documented in all these sounds.” The album features previous singles ““I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend” featuring Doechii“Best Friends,” her most recent single, “Love Is Unkind,” the much-anticipated track “Delulu,” and “Meddle In The Mold,” which she recently debuted live on COLORS (Click HERE). See full track list below.

California-bred singer-songwriter, Jillian Rose Banks, aka BANKS, crafts moody, alternative pop with shades of contemporary R&B. Emerging in the early 2010s with her debut album, Goddess, BANKS created a dark signature sound of downtempo, alt-R&B that helped build a loyal, cross-genre audience. The critically acclaimed and gold-certified album peaked just outside the Top Ten on the Billboard 200 and features songs like “Before I Ever Met You,” “Warm Water,” and “Fall Over.” Her highly anticipated sophomore album, The Altar, was released in 2016 and includes singles “Fuck with Myself,” “Gemini Feed,” and “Mind Games,” and peaked at number 17 on the Billboard 200. BANKS returned with her third studio album, III in 2019, followed by her 2022 album Serpentina, which she recorded amid the pandemic during months of isolation and is tied to themes of shedding old skin and embracing the new. In 2024, BANKS celebrated the 10-year anniversary of Goddess with the release of an acoustic version of the iconic album entitled Goddess: Unplugged, along with a four-continent sold-out tour where she teased songs from her fifth studio album, Off With Her Head to much fanfare.

Live Nation Signs Deal To Operate Helsinki Halli, Bringing Artists Back To Finland’s Premier Arena

0

Live Nation today announced that it has taken on a 20-year long-term lease to operate Helsinki’s prized arena, Helsinki Halli, putting the arena back on the international touring map.

Helsinki Halli first opened in 1997 and is the largest arena in Finland, with a capacity of up to 15,900. The arena has been closed since 2020, apart from a brief reopening in 2021, leaving the Finnish touring market without its premier live entertainment space.

When open, the arena generates more than €100 million for the Helsinki economy annually – an economic boost which has been missing from the capital.

Live Nation’s agreement to operate the venue follows its recent purchase by a consortium led by Finnish investor Heikki Viitikko and Trevian Asset Management Oy.

Tom Lynch, Live Nation President Venues EMEA said: ‘There has been a gap in the live music scene in Finland since Helsinki Halli closed, and we’re proud to play a part in bringing the arena back to life. We can’t wait to get artists back on its stage, and fans back through the doors again.’

Heikki Viitikko, main owner and Chairman of Helsinki Halli added: ‘We have more than one reason to be delighted today. Firstly, Finland’s premier venue is back to local ownership and soon ready to reopen. Secondly, in co-operation with Live Nation, the world’s leading live entertainment company, together we can take the first step on the road to reinventing this industry-leading arena.’

Helsinki Halli is due to open in Spring 2025, with announcements regarding the first acts to grace the stage coming soon. Discussions are also underway regarding the potential sporting uses of the arena, as the venue was previously home to the local ice hockey team.
