They have performed with Lizzy McAlpine on her Tiny Desk appearance, harmonized with Kacey Musgraves and Laufey among many others. The Habits released their debut album All For Something via Mom+Pop records in May of 2024. The band hit the road supporting Vance Joy and Lake Street Dive while finishing 2024 with a headline tour of Australia. Their latest single, ‘For Sale Sign’ with Lizzy McAlpine is out now.

As a recording and touring artist, James Taylor has touched people with his warm baritone voice and distinctive style of guitar-playing for more than 50 years, while setting a precedent to which countless young musicians have aspired. Over the course of his celebrated songwriting and performing career, Taylor has sold more than 100 million albums, earning gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards since the release of his self-titled debut album in 1968. In 2015, Taylor released Before This World, the first-ever #1 album of his illustrious career. Taylor has won multiple GRAMMY Awards, has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll and the prestigious Songwriters Halls of Fame and in February 2006, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences selected him its MUSICARES Person of the Year. Taylor was also awarded the distinguished Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government and the National Medal of Arts by President Barack Obama in 2012.

In November of 2015, Taylor was presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Nation’s highest civilian honor and in December of 2016 he received the Kennedy Center Honors, which are presented annually to individuals who have enriched American culture by distinguished achievement in the performing arts. In early 2020 Taylor released Break Shot, a deeply personal and authentic audio-only memoir detailing his first 21 years. He also released his newest album, American Standard, his 19th studio album, which earned Taylor the 2021 GRAMMY Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and gave him the honor of being the first artist to have a Billboard Top 10 album in each of the past six decades.

John Fogerty Celebrates 80th Birthday with Performances at SXSW, Jazz Fest, Glastonbury, Hollywood Bowl, and More

0

Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty will celebrate his 80th birthday on May 28, 2025 – a milestone marking a lifetime of groundbreaking contributions to popular music – and he plans to celebrate all year long.  As the leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty helped shape the sound of American music, blending blues, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B, and swamp boogie into a genre-defying style that continues to resonate with fans around the world. One of the greatest songwriters of all time, he has received multiple awards and honors for his undeniable impact on the culture including induction in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the BMI Icon Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a special honor for his song “Centerfield” making him the only musician ever honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Fogerty kicked off his 80th birthday year in January with performances at the Fire Aid benefit concert in Los Angeles and a brief residency at the Wynn Encore Theater in Las Vegas. This week he will hit SXSW for a just-announced show at Stubb’s BBQ on March 11, followed by a Keynote conversation with fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tom Morello on March 12.

On April 24, Fogerty will give a headlining performance at Jazz Fest in New Orleans, and just days later will be honored at the 2025 American Music Honors, hosted by the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music at Monmouth University in NJ. The American Music Honors celebrate artists who have demonstrated artistic excellence, creative integrity, and a longstanding commitment to the value of music within national consciousness. The April 26 event is hosted by Brian Williams and will feature presenters Bruce Springsteen, Nils Lofgren, Patti Scialfa, and Stevie Van Zandt.

In June, Fogerty will return to Glastonbury for his first performance at the legendary festival in nearly twenty years. On July 6, he will headline the Hollywood Bowl, with more exciting performances and other news to be announced soon. 2025 will be the year to recognize Fogerty’s many achievements.

John Fogerty’s songwriting canon spans nearly six decades and includes foundational classics such as “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.” He has sold over 100 million records worldwide, and CCR’s album Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits recently logged 728 weeks – or 14 years – on the Billboard 200, only the fifth album ever to reach that chart milestone.

In 2019, John Fogerty marked 50 years in music with a worldwide tour and the album 50 Year Trip: Live at Red Rocks, featuring Creedence Clearwater Revival hits. During the 2020 quarantine, he and his family released a popular video series, leading to the digital EP Fogerty’s Factory and its full album later that year. In January 2021, Fogerty released his first new solo song in eight years, “Weeping in The Promised Land.” He also partnered with Concord to release Creedence Clearwater Revival At The Royal Albert Hall, a restored 1970 concert and documentary.

Peter Frampton Announces Additional Shows for “Let’s Do It Again!” Tour and 50th Anniversary of’ Frampton’

0

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Award-winning guitarist, Peter Frampton, unveils a slew of additional shows ahead of the “Let’s Do It Again!” tour set for this spring. The newly confirmed dates include Bend, Oregon’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Boise, Idaho’s Idaho Central Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada’s Pearl Theater and more. Tickets are available at peterframpton.com. See below for the complete tour itinerary.

Additionally, Frampton is set to sit in with the house band on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on March 10.

This month marks the 50th anniversary of Frampton’s classic eponymous album, Frampton. Released on March 29, 1975, just before his 25th birthday, Frampton’s fourth record was his breakthrough in America, going on to hit No. 32 on the Billboard chart and sell more than 500,000 copies in less than six months. The album is best known for featuring the studio versions of the timeless anthem “Show Me The Way” and beloved ballad “Baby I Love Your Way” (as part of a medley with “Nassau”), which would help the singer-guitarist’s solo career go stratospheric on his legendary live album, Frampton Comes Alive, released the following year. Frampton was co-produced by Frampton, along with Chris Kimsey, and recorded in late 1974 and early 1975 at Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire, UK. In addition to lead guitar, Frampton also played piano, organ, acoustic guitar, bass and his trademark talkbox, as heard on “Show Me The Way.” He was joined by his former Herd colleague Andy Brown on bass with John Siomos on drums.

Kicking off this spring, the first leg of Frampton’s “Let’s Do It Again!” tour includes stops at Chicago’s Chicago Theatre, Milwaukee’s Riverside Theater, Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre and more.

Upon confirming the tour last month, Frampton shared, “I am so thrilled to be able to come out and play again for you, it’s been a spectacular year, looking forward to seeing everyone soon.”

The upcoming performances arrive on the heels of a landmark 2024 for the musician, who, in addition to being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, played concerts to rave reviews at venues across the U.S. Frampton’s “Never Say Never,” “Never EVER Say Never” and subsequent “Positively Thankful” tours were unexpected by fans after the legendary musician shared his diagnosis of the degenerative disease inclusion-body myositis.

Peter Frampton is one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. In 2007, Frampton won a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album for Fingerprints and in 2014 was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame. He received the prestigious Les Paul Innovation Award at NAMM’s TEC Awards in 2019 and most recently received the 2024 Les Paul Spirit Award at the Gibson Garage Nashville. Last fall, the iconic guitarist was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

In 2020, Frampton was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, his autobiography, Do You Feel Like I Do?: A Memoir, debuted on The New York Times Bestsellers list and he appeared on Dolly Parton’s latest album, Rockstar, as the only artist featured on two tracks.

In 2023, Frampton unveiled Frampton@50 on Intervention Records, a numbered limited-edition vinyl box set featuring Frampton’s essential 1972-1975 studio releases Wind of Change, Frampton’s Camel and Frampton. He also received The Myositis Association’s Heroes in the Fight 2023 Patient Ambassador Award and unveiled his historic performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall as a live album via UMe—listen here.

Frampton Comes Alive! remains one of the top-selling live records of all time, selling over 17 million worldwide.

Counting Crows Announce ‘The Complete Sweets!’ Tour in Support of ‘Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets!’ Album

0

Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated rock band Counting Crows have announced The Complete Sweets! Tour in support of their highly anticipated album, Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets! The tour kicks off on June 10, 2025, in Nashville, TN, and will bring the band’s legendary live show to fans across North America and Europe, continuing their three-decade tradition of delivering raw emotion, timeless storytelling, and unforgettable melodies.

The upcoming album, Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets!, marks Counting Crows’ first full-length release since the critically acclaimed Butter Miracle: Suite One in 2021. Frontman Adam Duritz’s powerful vocal performance is paired with the band’s signature mix of rock, folk, and alternative influences, delivering a fresh yet familiar sound that long-time fans will love.

Leading the charge into this new era is the album’s first single, “Spaceman In Tulsa”, a song that seamlessly merges Counting Crows’ classic sound with a renewed energy. “‘Spaceman In Tulsa’ is about metamorphosis—the way music breaks down who we were and spins us into something new. It’s about broken lives becoming something better,” shares Duritz. Listen to “Spaceman In Tulsa” HERE. Watch the official music video HERE.

“Drumming Up An Appetite With Vinnie Paul” Brings Late Pantera Legend’s Favorite Recipes to Life

0

Vinnie Paul continues to be one of the most beloved personalities in the history of metal and now his legacy can fill both our hearts and bellies with the perfect companion for your summer barbecue, Drumming Up An Appetite With Vinnie Paul, releasing from Z2.

The book commemorates the memory of Vinnie’s legendary Sunday Funday dinners with this epicurean collection of his favorite family recipes. Opening with a foreword by comedian and friend Carrot Top, the book is broken into three chapters – main courses (Reinventing The Meal), side dishes (Far Beyond Kitchen) and of course, desserts (A Vulgar Display of Flour)!

The book, as well as the cover art by Erik Rodriguez, was a lifelong dream of Vinnie Paul’s, who said in 2015… “My cookbook will be called ‘Drumming Up an Appetite With Vinnie Paul’. How clever is that? It’s got a picture of me sitting behind a drum set. I’m holding two turkey legs, which are otherwise known as drum sticks!”

Vinnie Paul added in 2015 “It’s all about cooking and having fun with it. A lot of people think cooking is throwing something in the microwave. It’s something that you’ve really got to be passionate about, just like playing an instrument. If you put your heart and soul into it, and then you feed it to people, and you’re [like], ‘Oh, man! This is so good.’ It makes you feel good. It’s just like playing music; [people say] ‘G-damn, I love this sh*t!'”

The recipes are captured through the photography of Justin Borucki, with illustrations by Danny Hellman, Steve Chanks, and Rob Schwager. The book is rounded out by an afterword from Vinnie’s best friend and personal assistant Brian “Bridog” Jones who added “Vinnie’s BBQ action was most definitely not your average line up whether it be at his Texas or Vegas casas, or on the road prepping and cooking for all the bands and crew and even the local venue personnel, his spread was legendary! Lots of very hard work from myself and many others made this book possible. Vinnie’s recipes are now being offered to the world!”

If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the drummer’s seat! Vinnie Paul, beloved drummer best known for his tasty rhythms in Pantera, Damageplan, and HELLYEAH, had another passion that fueled his days – incredible eats and delicious treats! He began writing this book over 15 years ago, this book contains his favorite recipes, written by Vinnie before his passing, and Z2 are honored to present them so that the cooking hostile tradition is carried on.

Through the loving support of his family and estate, the joy of Vinnie Paul’s spirit towards cooking lives on through these dishes. Now, getcha’ apron on!

“Vinnie Paul’s passion for life, music and tasty food was immeasurable. Being able to publish this cookbook for Vinnie, Bridog and his family fulfills a promise I made to him during his lifetime and we hope his recipes, stories and passion fills no hearts and stomachs for years to come.” Shares Josh Bernstein, President of Z2 and longtime friend/collaborator of Vinnie Paul.

Toad The Wet Sprocket Announces 2025 Good Intentions Tour with Semisonic, KT Tunstall, and Sixpence None the Richer

0

Toad The Wet Sprocket continue to uplift audiences with their melodic alt rock guitars, introspective lyrics, and signature vocal harmonies that catapulted them to mainstream success 30+ years ago on the 2025 Good Intentions U.S. headlining tour.

Joining the band throughout the 26-date run are Semisonic, KT Tunstall and Sixpence None the Richer in select markets. Limited VIP packages and new Good Intentions merchandise available this week at Toad The Wet Sprocket Online.

Throughout their career, Toad The Wet Sprocket have been staunchly independent in their artistic integrity. “We were young and it was us against the record company,” recalls guitarist Todd Nichols of their early days. “We had a bit of punk-rock ethos.”

This commitment to stay true to themselves, and DIY mentality also spilled over into the enduring relationship with their fans. Amassing a mailing list of 70,000 at the start of their career, the band forged deep connections with a devout and loyal core of fans, who they’ve continued to grow with. “It’s like a reunion of sorts,” reflects bassist Dean Dinning. “It’s almost like having family in the audience every night.”

Following the success of their second platinum selling album, Dulcinea, Toad The Wet Sprocket released a collection of b-sides and rarities, In Light Syrup, in 1995. The album single, “Good Intentions” – the namesake of this upcoming tour – found success at radio peaking at #23 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart and is featured amongst the likes of R.E.M., The Rembrandts, and Barnaked Ladies on the platinum-selling Friends soundtrack. It has since been in rotation on set lists including their most recent tours.

“I think the enduring appeal of our band is the songs,” says Dean. “Even though we were young when we made those early records, they don’t only speak to youth. As people have grown older, the songs have taken on new meaning in their lives.”

“As an artist, it feels good to know we can still make music that’s resonating,” adds singer Glen Phillips. “When we play ‘The Moment’ or ‘Transient Whales’ at our shows now, there’s a huge percentage of the audience who know every word of those songs, too.”

As in years past, Toad The Wet Sprocket will partner with a non-profit organization with shared values to inspire fans and give back. This year, Toad The Wet Sprocket will spotlight the National Parks Foundation to support and protect our natural treasures.

In addition to the 2025 Good Intentions headlining tour, Toad The Wet Sprocket are putting the finishing touches on an acoustic greatest hits album, set for release later this year.
