Fresh off the success of his ninth UK No. 1 album Play, Ed Sheeran further broadens his sonic horizons with the release of Play – The Remixes EP (listen here). Leading the charge is “Symmetry”, a hypnotic, beat-driven track featuring acclaimed Punjabi artist Karan Aujla. The accompanying official video, directed by Liam Pethick, showcases a high-energy performance by Ed, Karan, and globally renowned dance crew The Quick Style.

Play – The Remixes EP finds Ed Sheeran reimagining four tracks from his original Play album through dynamic collaborations with some of South Asia’s most celebrated talents, including Hanumankind, Dhee, Santhosh Narayanan, Karan Aujla, Jonita, and Arijit Singh. The EP’s vibrant soundscape is further shaped by producers ILYA, Johnny McDaid, Savan Kotecha, FRED, and Elvira Anderfjärd. 

The project was born out of Sheeran’s transformative, month-long stay in India, where he immersed himself in the country’s rich musical landscape while recording Play. During this time, he discovered and connected with many of the EP’s collaborators through the artists he was working with – among them Arijit Singh, with whom Sheeran teamed up with on the half-a-billion-streaming global hit “Sapphire”.

Sheeran previously hinted at the EP during an interview with Nikita Kanda on BBC Asian Network. The resulting release is a vibrant fusion of global sounds and artistic exchange; a borderless celebration of global creativity that sees Ed Sheeran sharing spaces and voices in the spirit of collaboration.

Being there over the last decade through touring, I’ve met lots of local artists along the way, and I’ve been introduced to all types of music and cultures. I wanted to represent South India on this EP and the beautiful Tamil language, and they have done such an amazing job in fusing it together.”

David Gilmour’s Psychedelic Magic Lives On With ‘The Luck and Strange Concerts’ and ‘Live at the Circus Maximus’

The David Gilmour live album and film entitled THE LUCK AND STRANGE CONCERTS and LIVE AT THE CIRCUS MAXIMUS, ROME, beautifully capture the 2024 Luck and Strange tour, and both are out now.

The tour accompanied Gilmour’s fifth solo album, LUCK AND STRANGE, which hit #1 in the UK, Germany (his first #1 there), Poland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Portugal and Austria. It reached #2 in France, Italy, and Belgium, the top 5 in Spain, Japan, Norway, Denmark, and Hungary, and the top ten in the USA, Australia, Finland, Sweden, Ireland, and New Zealand.

The shows began with two sold-out warm-up shows at the Brighton Centre before moving to Circus Maximus in Rome for six sold-out nights, followed by the same at London’s Royal Albert Hall before moving Stateside for sold-out evenings at the Intuit Dome and Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, before concluding with five sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden in New York.

All twenty-three dates were sold out, and with no new shows on the horizon, THE LUCK AND STRANGE CONCERTS and LIVE AT THE CIRCUS MAXIMUS, ROME is the best and only way to experience the master of his art on stage.

LIVE AT THE CIRCUS MAXIMUS, ROME, which is being released via Sony Music Vision and Trafalgar Releasing, will be shown in cinemas & IMAX worldwide on 17th September for a limited time only. The film sees Gilmour return to Rome’s historic Circus Maximus at the beginning of the Luck and Strange tour, his first in nearly a decade. Long-time Gilmour collaborator Gavin Elder filmed the sublime spectacle against the backdrop of the ancient ruins of Rome. Rock Band Set It Off Announce ‘The Self-Titled Tour’ and New Independent Album

Independent active rock band Set It Off have announced The Self-Titled Tour, set to hit North America across October, November and December 2025.

The headline run ties in with the release of the band’s first ever independent album – the self-titled ‘Set It Off’ – which is due out on November 07 (PRE-ORDER / PRE-SAVE).

Produced by Live Nation, the tour will kick off in Atlanta, GA on October 28 and will wrap up in Raleigh, NC on December 10. The band will be joined by Fame On Fire (main support), Vana and The Pretty Wild (rotating order).

“It’s been a while since we’ve been able to do an entire headline tour on the back of a brand new album and we can’t WAIT get back on the road and celebrate the release of our first completely independent self-titled album with all of our amazing fans!” says vocalist Cody Carson.

“This album was made with our live show in mind. The energy level of these shows is going to be out of control and we can’t wait for you to see why we named ourselves Set It Off in the first place!

“On top of that, we are bringing with us three amazing artists in Fame On Fire, Vana and The Pretty Wild! We are genuinely fans of all of them and we all can’t wait to give you the show of a lifetime! So grab tickets while you still can, because these shows are going to sell out.”

The band’s new era has found them selling out tours globally, playing conversation-starting sets at hard rock festivals and supporting the likes of I Prevail and Hollywood Undead, while singles like ‘Punching Bag’ and ‘Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing [REBORN]’ have hit rock radio charts for the first time in the band’s career.

“It feels like we found our people,” explains drummer Maxx Danziger. “I’ve always enjoyed playing and performing, but it’s at a peak right now. Every time I go out there, I’m so excited.”
