Bob Mould Announces ‘Here We Go Crazy’ Album & Tour, Shares New Single “When Your Heart Is Broken”

0

Bob Mould has shared a lyric for his new single “When Your Heart Is Broken” to celebrate the arrival of his new stuido album, “Here We Go Crazy,” his first new record in over four years.

He had this to say, “‘When Your Heart Is Broken’ is built from a familiar blueprint for my work: bright melodies, dark words, loud guitars. It’s one of the earliest songs written for Here We Go Crazy, and I added it to my Solo Electric set list in Fall 2022.

“Some nights, I would play ‘Too Far Down’, followed by ‘When Your Heart Is Broken’, then ask the audience: Which one of the two is heavier? To me, the musical urgency of ‘When Your Heart Is Broken’ is uplifting, the lyrical reflection offers redemption, and it’s most certainly a song I can throw myself into when playing live.”

Mould said of the album, “On the surface, this is a group of straightforward guitar-pop songs. I’m refining my primary sound and style through simplicity, brevity, and clarity.

“Under the hood, there’s a number of contrasting themes. Control and chaos, hypervigilance and helplessness, uncertainly and unconditional love.”

The music icon will be promoting the album release with new U.S. headline dates that are kicking off in San Diego, Ca on April 1st.

Originally pressed in 1994 as a promotional release for select DJs, Clear Lake Auditorium has become one of the most sought-after rarities in hip-hop history. The EP features four tracks from the Buhloone Mindstate era, including two rare collaborations: “sh.Fe.Mc’s” featuring A Tribe Called Quest and “Stix & Stonz,” which brings together hip-hop legends Tito of The Fearless Four, Grandmaster Caz, LA Sunshine of The Treacherous Three, and Prince Whipper Whip. Now, after decades of being a collector’s gem, the EP is finally available to fans worldwide.

De La Soul has remained a defining force in hip-hop for over three decades, constantly pushing creative boundaries with their innovative sound and dynamic live performances. This year has been no exception. They recently performed in Zurich, Switzerland, and in January, they headlined David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City for the first time. Posdnuos also earned a Grammy nomination for his verse on Common and Pete Rock’s single “When the Sun Shines Again,” featured on their collaborative album The Auditorium Vol. 1.

Beyond the stage, De La Soul’s influence continues to reach new audiences. Their music was recently featured in a Peloton Artist Series, bringing their classic sound to a global community of fitness enthusiasts. Last month, they released a remastered collection of “Say No Go” remixes, revisiting one of their most iconic tracks with beloved versions like “House of Love Mix,” “New Keys Vocal,” and “Say No Dope Mix.”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer will host the program from midnight to 5 a.m., featuring a curated mix of classic rock, obscure rock, and an occasional “future classic” rock song, as well as Cooper’s stories and exclusive content, fan interaction and celebrity interviews.

“KLOS has been rocking Los Angeles forever!” Cooper said. “Back when I lived in L.A., KLOS was the station, synonymous with rock ‘n’ roll, and it still is! That’s why ‘Alice’s Attic’ joining the KLOS lineup is a perfect match. Can’t wait to unpack my guillotine in the office.”

Cooper introduced “Alice’s Attic” – syndicated by Superadio – in February 2024. Currently, it is syndicated via 73 local radio stations throughout the U.S., Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The Who’s Final Performance With Keith Moon: Stunning Shepperton Studios Footage Remastered

0

Few moments in rock history carry the weight and poignancy of The Who’s May 1978 performance at Shepperton Studios—the last time the band’s classic lineup would ever play together. In advance of the release of All This Music Must Fade, remastered footage of this historic set has been unveiled, offering a high-definition glimpse into a performance that is both electrifying and bittersweet.

Pete Townshend’s windmills, Roger Daltrey’s soaring vocals, John Entwistle’s stoic precision, and Keith Moon’s raw, chaotic brilliance are on full display as the band tears through “Baba O’Riley” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” Captured for Jeff Stein’s documentary The Kids Are Alright, this footage marks the end of an era, as Moon tragically passed away just months later on September 7, 1978.

Lady Gaga Announces First Mexico City Stadium Show in Thirteen Years

Lady Gaga announced a massive stadium show in Mexico City, MX at Estadio GNP Seguros on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in support of her forthcoming album, MAYHEM (out March 7 via Interscope Records). The performance, produced by Live Nation and OCESA, marks Gaga’s first headline show in Mexico City since her 2012 show at the same stadium as part of The Born This Way Ball tour.

Tickets will be available starting with Banamex presales (details below) beginning Thursday, March 6. The general onsale will begin Friday, March 7 at 2pm local time at ticketmaster.com.mx.

Tickets will be available through the Banamex presale on Thursday, March 6, starting at 2:00 p.m., and one day later, on March 7, they will be available at the venue’s box office or through ticketmaster.com.mx.

Today’s Mexico City announcement comes just days ahead of the release of Gaga’s highly anticipated album MAYHEM.  Featuring previously released singles “Abracadabra,” “Disease,” and “Die With a Smile,” the 14-track project blends the eclectic energy that first captivated her fans with a bold vision—exploring themes of chaos and transformation while celebrating music’s power to unite, provoke, and heal.

“Abracadabra” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Pop Songs Chart, propelling Gaga past 124 million monthly Spotify listeners to set a new record for the largest audience ever achieved by a female artist. Rolling Stone praised the track as “a masterful return to dark pop that nods to the influences shaping her career,” while Clash called it “a thrilling piece of pop music that shifts effortlessly between light and shadow.” Billboardhighlighted its “explosive energy” and “high-intensity production,” noting its sonic connection to the darker electronic textures of “Disease.” Pitchforkdescribed the track as “delivering a latex-tight hook in true Born This Wayfashion,” while also showcasing elements of her decade-long evolution—from Chromatica’s house piano to the commanding vocal style honed through her theatrical trainin

The official music video for “Abracadabra,” directed by Gaga alongside Parris Goebel and Bethany Vargas, has amassed nearly 62 million views on YouTube since its release on February 2.  Featuring a visually striking dance battle between light and dark Gaga, the video has drawn comparisons to some of her most iconic work. Billboard described it as evoking Bad Romance with “its meticulous display of the intersection of various art forms” and “jaw-dropping high fashion.” Rolling Stone highlighted the frenetic choreography, calling it “an eruption of chaos and movement” that reinforces the concept of MAYHEM, recalling The Fame Monster era. Pitchfork called it “a high-concept production with impeccable styling,” adding that “Gaga remains a step above the average pop star; her true competition is the ghosts of her own past.”

Ahead of “Abracadabra” Gaga released “Disease,” another defining moment in Gaga’s MAYHEM era. Lauded as “her best in a long while” by The Independent, the song was praised by The Guardian for its “fizzing, distorted synths” and “pounding, slightly industrial beat.”  Rolling Stonehighlighted its “cavernous synth line” and “classic Gaga shout-along chorus,” further cementing it as a powerhouse track on the album. The music video, directed by Tanu Muino, was celebrated as “one of the best videos of the year” by Vogue and hailed by W as a “cinematic, almost theater-like experience.”

As anticipation builds for MAYHEM, “Die With a Smile”—Gaga’s collaboration with Bruno Mars has remained a dominant force.  Amassing over 2.9B all-time streams to date, it became the longest-running No. 1 song on Spotify Global of all time and the fastest song in history to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.  “Die With a Smile” topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, and earned Gaga her 14th Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2025 Grammys.

Recorded at Shangri-La Studios near her home in Malibu, California, MAYHEM was executive produced by Lady Gaga, Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt.  Producers on the project include Gaga, Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein.

Building on a milestone year, Gaga recently revealed plans for a free performance at Rio de Janeiro’s iconic Copacabana Beach on Saturday, May 3. On March 8, she will pull double duty as both host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live.  Additionally, Gaga will be honored with the 2025 iHeartRadio Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 17 before taking the stage at Coachella for two headlining performances on April 11 and April 18.
