Coheed and Cambria Announces Co-Headline Tour With Taking Back Sunday

Coheed and Cambria shares new single “Someone Who Can” from their forthcoming album The Father of Make Believe, which is set for release March 14th via Virgin Music Group. In conjunction with the new song, the band shares its heartwarming Mason Mercer-directed video where we get a glimpse at the early days of Coheed and Cambria in and around their hometown of Nyack, New York. “Someone Who Can” follows the previously shared The Father of Make Believe singles “Blind Side Sonny” and “Searching For Tomorrow” along with Claudio Covers, which arrived at the end of last year and features eight songs reimagined by primary songwriter and lead guitarist Claudio Sanchez including “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure and “Welcome To New York” by Taylor Swift, among others.

“Someone Who Can” is arguably the band’s most accessible song in their 24 year career. When asked about the meaning behind the song, Claudio remarked, “When you’re growing up, you’re perpetually trying to understand the world that’s changing around you. Over time, it’s comforting to reach the conclusion that you’ll never truly have things figured out.”

Along with today’s release of the new song and video, Coheed and Cambria announces a North American co-headline summer tour with Taking Back Sunday with support from Foxing on all dates. The 25-date tour produced by Live Nation, kicks off on August 16th in St Louis, hitting some majestic venues, including the massive PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey, picturesque Red Rocks in Denver and the Greek Theatre in both Los Angeles and Berkeley, California. The whirlwind run wraps up at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Seattle on September 21st. Tickets are on sale this Friday, January 17th at 10am local time HERE.

Ahead of their run with Taking Back Sunday, the band will embark on The Infinite Arc co-headline arena tour with Mastodon, following the Tool in the Sand festival with Tool, Primus, Mastodon, Eagles of Death Metal and more in the Dominican Republic this March. This July, the band will perform at 2000 Trees with Kneecap, Taking Back Sunday, Alexisonfire, and more in the United Kingdom. This November, Coheed will embark on their S.S. Neverender 2025 cruise with Thursday, L.S. Dunes, The Dear Hunter, Illuminati Hotties, Zulu and more. Tickets available HERE.

The Father of Make Believe continues the narrative of The Amory Wars / Vaxis universe, following Coheed and Cambria’s 2022 album Vaxis Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind. The Father of Make Believe will include the aforementioned singles “Blind Side Sonny,” arguably Coheed and Cambria’s most aggressive track to date that was complemented by a Max Moore-directed video that unveiled a new villain in The Amory Wars realm, and “Searching For Tomorrow,” which arrived with an Anthony Scheppard-directed and animated video.

For the last 20 years, Coheed and Cambria have continuously broken the mold of what a rock band can be, forging their own path and building a universe around their music unlike any other. The Oak Ridge Boys Extend 2024 ‘American Made’ Farewell Tour

GRAMMY Award winners and Country Music Hall of Fame inductees The Oak Ridge Boys are thrilled to announce additional dates for their extended American Made Farewell Tour. The tour, named after one of their most beloved hits, celebrates their decades-long career and supports their latest album, Mama’s Boys, which was released in November of last year via Lightning Rod/Thirty Tigers. Known for their timeless harmonies and captivating performances, the group is taking this opportunity to say thank you to all their fans and friends for their love and support.

Despite the farewell tour, The Oak Ridge Boys aren’t slowing down completely as they plan to head back into the studio later this year to record a new album, continuing their legacy of creating music that resonates with fans old and new.

“We’ve had so much fun touring from city to city and getting to see everyone,” shares William Lee Golden. “The response we received from the new album has been wonderful and we hope you love it as much as we do. Keep checking our website as new dates will be added soon!”

Mama’s Boys, the Oak Ridge Boys’ fifth collaboration with GRAMMY-winning producer Dave Cobb, was recorded at the iconic RCA Studio A and Blackbird Studios in Nashville. Leading up to its release, the group built anticipation with standout singles like the heartfelt “I Thought About You, Lord” featuring Willie Nelson, the soulful “Come On Home,” and the nostalgic “That’s The Way Mama Made It.” The album also marks a special milestone as the first to feature Ben James as tenor. Since joining the group over a year ago, Ben has captured the hearts of Oak Ridge Boys’ fans.

The Oak Ridge Boys have received four Academy of Country Music, two American Music, five Billboard, four Country Music Association, five Grammy, and twelve Gospel Music Association Dove awards, to name a few. Turnover Announces Full Peripheral Vision 10-Year Anniversary Tour

Following the feverish reaction to the initial anniversary shows announced last month, Turnover announces its full 2025 North American tour celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their classic sophomore album Peripheral Vision. Beyond the six anniversary shows the band announced in December, which all sold out in a matter of days, Turnover is expanding the run across North America. The 38-date run produced by Live Nation, including the six dates that sold out after being initially announced in December, which will take place across April, May, and June, with a show in London to follow in September, will see the band play the album in-full for the first time in some of the biggest shows of their career: Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, The Dome in Virginia Beach, Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn, New York and Roundhouse in London. Across select dates of this run, the band will be supported by Citizen, Balance & Composure, Tigers Jaw, Horse Jumper of Love and KEEP.

Tickets will be available starting with presales beginning today at 11am ET. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning Friday, January 17 at 10am local time at turnovermusic.net.

As part of the tour’s VIP offering, a band variant of a forthcoming 10 Year Anniversary Edition LP will be available while supplies last. Additional vinyl variants and formats, including a deluxe Triple LP Anniversary Edition, will be made widely available for pre-order in the near future.

Released on May 4th, 2015 via Run For Cover Records, Turnover’s second album Peripheral Vision is widely regarded as an essential body of the work in the band’s discography, maturing its sound into a shoegaze-inflected post-punk direction following the band’s 2013 debut record Magnolia. Described as “a tour de force” by Kerrang!, the album set the stage for an extensive and prolific touring history over the past decade and three subsequent albums, including their most recent LP, 2022’s Myself in the Way.

Sir Woman Announces Double Album “If It All Works Out and If It Doesn’t” And Headline Tour

Rising artist Sir Woman—the solo project of vocalist and songwriter Kelsey Wilson—confirms her double album If It All Works Out and If It Doesn’t for Spring 2025.

Wilson’s long-held passion for soul, funk, and R&B led to the creation of the double album. On If It All Works Out, produced by Sir Woman and Matt Pence (Jason Isbell, John Grant, Sarah Jaffe, Cody Jinks, Here We Go Magic), Wilson emphasizes themes of love, positivity, and romance while embracing Sir Woman’s ethos of self-empowerment. “It was all the records from the ’70s that I loved listening to growing up,” says Wilson. “I got to emulate and do my version.”

The second album, If It Doesn’t, written during Wilson’s darkest times and produced by Sir Woman and Jason Burt (Paul Cauthen, The Texas Gentleman, Leon Bridges), aims to inspire listeners facing life’s challenges.

In support of the new music, Sir Woman will embark on a headline tour across North America. Kicking off on March 15, the tour includes stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Nashville, Philadelphia, New York City, Toronto, and more. In 2022, Sir Woman took the Austin music scene by storm with her self-titled full-length debut. This success led to performances at renowned clubs, recognition as Artist of the Year at the 2023 Austin Music Awards, and features in Rolling Stone, Spin, Variety, and on the cover of the Austin Chronicle. Wilson’s project has garnered over 40 million streams on Spotify.

Sir Woman draws inspiration from R&B and gospel icons like Otis Redding, Billy Preston, Aretha Franklin, and Nina Simone.

For the past 14 years, Wilson has also served as the lead vocalist and violinist for the Austin-based band Wild Child, which has released five albums and toured with artists like Mt. Joy, Robert Ellis, and Shakey Graves.

Wyatt Flores Announces ‘Welcome Back to the Plains’ Tour

Acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Wyatt Flores will continue to perform through this spring with his “Welcome Back to the Plains Tour,” which includes stops at St. Petersburg’s Jannus Live, Memphis’ Graceland Soundstage, New Orleans’ The Fillmore, Charlottesville’s Ting Pavilion and St. Louis’ Ballpark Village among others. In celebration of the new music, Flores was recently featured as part of NPR Music’s “Tiny Desk Concert” series, made his late-night television debut on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” performed on “CBS Saturday Morning” last month and spoke with NPR’s “All Things Considered.”

Produced by Beau Bedford (Orville Peck, Shane Smith & The Saints), Welcome To The Plains details Flores’ journey as he balances the struggle of leaving his hometown of Stillwater, OK with the highs and lows of life on the road. Released to overwhelming acclaim, the record landed several “Best of 2024” lists including NPR Music and Rolling Stone, who praises, “Welcome to the Plains…is full of enough musical and lyrical range to be the defining album of the 23-year-old Flores’ career.”

Born and raised in Oklahoma, the Mexican-American artist has established himself as one of country music’s most vital voices with his three previous EPs, including Half Life. It reflects on the shifts in a relationship when dynamics change, and you feel like you’re more invested than the other person. This feeling of longing and imbalance is something so many of us can relate to, and with that Jonita crafts a song that is as vulnerable as it is honest. Her heartfelt delivery transports listeners on an emotional journey that speaks to anyone who has experienced the pain of loving someone who didn’t return the feeling or yearns for unrequited love, proclaiming throughout the resonant soundtrack: ‘Feels like this means more to me than you, I really hope that you come through, Please don’t keep me waiting’. Of the single, Jonita expresses, “The song was conceived at a jam session with my friends Siddhant Bhosle and Soham Mukherji – I wanted to create something soulful, real, authentic to my life experience, but also groovy.”

The single, produced by the dynamic duo NEVERSOBER (Riz Shain and Soham Mukherji), is paired with a visually captivating music video produced by Jugaad Motion Pictures and directed by Bhavna Kankaria. It was my second time collaborating with Jugaad, and I feel that Bhavna and DOP Nirali truly captured the essence of the song’s story. They made me feel at ease and encouraged me to be uninhibited on set. This was also the first time I had a co-actor in one of my music videos, and I’m so grateful to Gurfateh for being such an amazing partner throughout the experience!”

Lucy Dacus Announces New Album ‘Forever Is a Feeling’ And 2025 Tour

Lucy Dacus has announced her highly anticipated fourth studio album, Forever Is A Feeling, set for release March 28 via Geffen Records. The cover art is a painting of Dacus by acclaimed visual artist Will St. John and contributors for the album include Hozier, Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, Madison Cunningham, Collin Pastore, Jake Finch and Melina Duterte.

Along with the announcement, Dacus has unveiled two new tracks, “Limerence” and “Ankles,” accompanied by a music video for “Ankles” which was filmed in Paris, France with a special guest performance from Havana Rose Liu.

These two songs mark the first new music from Dacus since boygenius were awarded three GRAMMYs and a BRIT Award for their debut album, the record, in 2024.

Dacus will be setting out on a tour of North America in April following her previously announced run of intimate shows in museums and special places in February. Support for the Spring dates comes from special guest Katie Gavin (of Muna) as well as jasmine.4.t. The sign-up for pre-sale access starts today at lucydac.us. Lucy Dacus has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 per ticket goes to providing critical relief and long-term recovery support for individuals, families, and communities impacted by the devastating LA wildfires via the PLUS1 LA Fires Fund.

While Dacus’s last album, Home Video, explored the world of childhood and adolescence. Forever Is A Feeling is decidedly adult. The lushness of the album’s sound is matched by a new frankness in Dacus’s approach to sexuality and romance. “So bite me on the shoulder, pull my hair,” Dacus sings on “Ankles.” “Pull me by the ankles to the edge of the bed, and take me like you do in your dreams.” The sex in “Ankles” remains fantasy—as in many of the songs, love doesn’t come easy, desire has to be resisted—but the willingness to talk about it shows a new forthrightness, a new and brave willingness to express desire. The song was originally written as a ballad, Dacus says, but on the album melancholy has been transfigured. Pulsing strings build to a thick texture of drums, guitars, a dancingly exuberant bass line, and electronics. Frustration becomes flirtatious, playful, full of the excitement of shared attraction.

Most of the songs on Forever Is A Feeling were written between Fall 2022 and Summer 2024. “I got kicked in the head with emotions,” says Dacus. “Falling in love, falling out of love.” She had to make peace with the price of the love she wanted. “You have to destroy things in order to create things. And I did destroy a really beautiful life.”

Forever is a feeling—and maybe only a feeling. But that’s not to say it’s nothing. Back to the Will St. John painting, where the album’s title appears tattooed across Dacus’s chest. Tattoos are permanent marks, we think, but they can only last as long as the flesh they’re written on. “You can’t actually capture forever,” Dacus says. “But I think we feel forever in moments. I don’t know how much time I’ve spent in forever, but I know I’ve visited.” Love ends, tattoos fade, flesh falters; even paintings and songs aren’t forever, not really, though these songs will last a long time. To love another mortal being is to cast one’s lot with the temporary.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced the four inductees for the Canadian Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Presented by Music Canada. Multi-talented industry legend Dan Hill, grande dame of Québec song Ginette Reno, Rock superstars Glass Tiger, eclectic Celtic singer/songwriter/composer Loreena McKennitt, Pop-Punk icons Sum 41, and Hip-Hop pioneer Maestro Fresh Wes will all be honoured for their astounding contributions to Canada’s music history live and in-person on May 15, 2025 at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre (NMC), in Calgary, Alberta. Tickets will be on sale at the NMC box office soon.

The spring ceremony follows the induction of Maestro Fresh Wes (during The 2024 JUNO Awards Broadcast in Halifax, NS) and Sum 41 who will be inducted to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame live on The 2025 JUNO Awards Broadcast in Vancouver, BC on March 30, 2025. Their Inductions are Presented by JUNOS Premier Sponsor, TD.

The Canadian Music Hall of Fame was established by CARAS in 1978 to acknowledge artists who have made a remarkable impact on Canadian music both nationally and internationally. Dan Hill, Ginette Reno, Glass Tiger, Loreena McKennitt, Sum 41 and Maestro Fresh Wes, will join the ranks of Canada’s most esteemed talent including Alanis Morissette, Barenaked Ladies, Deborah Cox, Jann Arden, Joni Mitchell, k.d. lang, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Nickelback, Oscar Peterson, RUSH, The Guess Who, The Tragically Hip, Sarah McLachlan and Shania Twain.

ASCAP to Distribute $1 Million in Fire Relief to ASCAP Members in Need

ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, today announced that it will distribute $1 million in emergency relief to ASCAP songwriter and composer members in the Los Angeles area who have suffered loss or damage to their primary residence or studio, or been evacuated from their homes as a result of the LA fires.

“Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the devastating Los Angeles fires.  We are here to support our ASCAP members during troubled times, and we will ensure these funds reach ASCAP composers and songwriters in need,” said ASCAP Chief Executive Officer Elizabeth Matthews.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees and GRAMMY Award-winning progressive rock pioneers Yes unveil a robust new Super Deluxe Edition of their massively influential classic fifth full-length album, Close to the Edge, on March 7, 2025. This definitive version comprises 5 CDs, 1 LP, and a Blu-ray. A newly remastered version of the original Close to the Edge graces both CD-1 and LP; the Blu-ray houses 2025 mixes by Steven Wilson in Dolby ATMOS and 5.1 Mix DTS-HD MA for the very first time; Wilson’s remix and instrumentals also adorn CD-2. An unearthed bevy of rare and previously unreleased recordings for the Super Deluxe Edition is featured on disc 3, and a 1972 live show on discs 4 and 5.

The Rarities disc features rough mixes, alternate versions, and edits of staple tracks from Close to the Edge, offering another perspective on this opus. Three previously unreleased Steven Wilson tracks—“Siberian Khatru,” “Cord of Life,” and “Total Mass Retain”—grace this collection. Meanwhile, the Live at the Rainbow, London, England, 12/16/72 recording spans two discs and captures the group in their prime while on tour supporting the album.

Setting the stage, the band shares today an official release of the transcending performance of “Siberian Khatru (Live at The Rainbow, London, England, 12/16/72)” as a prelude to the Super Deluxe Edition.

The collection boasts liner notes penned by Syd Schwartz of Jazz & Coffee as he dives into the process and story behind the seminal Close to the Edge, reflecting the spirit at the heart of “the ultimate Yes album.” Guitarist Steve Howe shares that “Close To The Edge is Yes’s most miraculous album; it has our first 20-minute epic, the template for many large-scale tracks that followed, accompanied by two ten-minute tracks, similarly recorded with the highest musical and technical integrity. Recording Fragile was an experience that enabled us to make Close To The Edge Yes’s career-defining album.”

Steve Howe [guitarist], Jon Anderson [lead vocals], Chris Squire [bass], Rick Wakeman [keys, piano, organ], and Bill Bruford [drums, percussion] entered Advision in London in June 1972 to bring Close To The Edge to life alongside trusted cohort and longtime producer Eddy Offord. Together, they conjured magic with the likes of the multi-part progressive suites “Close to the Edge” and “And You and I” as well as “Siberian Khatru.” The record first landed on September 8, 1972, and vaulted into the Top 3 of the Billboard 200, going RIAA platinum. Indicative of its impact and influence, the LP earned a coveted spot on Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” Pitchfork rated it a rare “9.0,” hailing it as “The Band’s crowning achievement.”
