Unapologetically Inventive: CARTOONS CAN’T DIE Unleash New Single “Kinslayer” Ahead of Album ‘Rebirth’

0

Rising UK heavyweights CARTOONS CAN’T DIE are set to unleash their highly anticipated new album, ‘Rebirth’, on Friday, February 6th, and they have just dropped their enticing new single and video, “Kinslayer.” Already sparking exciting comparisons to giants like Whitechapel, Jinjer, Lamb of God, Periphery, Devin Townsend, and even Rammstein, the genre bending metallers proudly refuse to be confined to a single sound. Solidifying their lineup last year, the band is made up of Mac Gaisford (vocals), Maria Megally (vocals), Dan “Danny 5” Berber (guitar), and Ryan Shepherd (drums), and they are united by a clear mission: to push modern heavy music into uncharted territory and to forge a powerful sound without boundaries.

A major hallmark of the band is their dual vocal dynamic—Mac’s raw, harsh fury is perfectly matched with Maria’s soaring, melodic power. This vocal interplay creates a sharp contrast and a distinct identity for the band, amplified further by their horror drenched, apocalyptic visuals. CARTOONS CAN’T DIE are not just a band; they are expertly crafting a world that is as heavy and chaotic as their music, cinematic, unpredictable, and unapologetically inventive. Vocalist Mac reflects on the creation of the new album: “The record has been put together in the very best way — every song feels different, but it all connects. There’s no one genre running it, just whatever felt right in the moment. It’s intense, sometimes weird, sometimes straight up brutal. That’s the point though — it’s supposed to feel alive.” With ‘Rebirth’ on the horizon, the band will also embark on a headline UK tour, kicking off what promises to be a truly massive 2026, with festival slots already in the pipeline, further cementing their momentum.

Album track listing (‘Rebirth’):

  1. Rebirth
  2. Kinslayer (New Single)
  3. 5AM
  4. On A Mission
  5. The Loss Of Something Dear
  6. Bodysnatchers
  7. Godless

Kings of LA! MANÁ Breaks Bruce Springsteen’s Los Angeles Arena Performance Record

0

Over the weekend, legendary Mexican rock band MANÁ delivered two additional sold-out performances at the Kia Forum as part of their acclaimed Vivir Sin Aire Tour, leading up to their fifth and final Los Angeles show of the year on Saturday, November 29. Friday night’s concert marked a historic milestone: MANÁ celebrated their 43rd arena show in Los Angeles, officially surpassing Bruce Springsteen’s long-standing record for the most arena performances in the city’s history.

MANÁ’s deep relationship with Los Angeles began in 1993 with their first local performance at the Hollywood Palace. In 2007, the band played an unprecedented 13 shows at the then-Staples Center, and in 2016 they began their remarkable run at the Kia Forum including LA Residencia in 2019—the first of any language arena residency in the city of Los Angeles. As of today, the band has 31 shows at the iconic arena.

Backstage, the band was honored with a celebratory welcome featuring the USC Marching Band, the Inglewood High School band, and the LA Clippers Spirit Team, along with their crew and Forum staff—whom MANÁ affectionately refers to as their “second family.” During the celebration, the group was crowned “Kings of LA,” and a permanent wall installation backstage at the Forum was unveiled to commemorate the achievement.

This milestone further underscores MANÁ’s profound and enduring bond with Los Angeles—a city that has embraced the band throughout their nearly four-decade career. Known for their electrifying live shows, socially conscious songwriting, and unwavering dedication to fans, MANÁ remains one of the most influential and enduring Latin rock bands in music history.

The Vivir Sin Aire Tour launched in September and will continue into 2026, with upcoming performances in Brooklyn, Miami, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Orlando, and Greensboro.

Alt Groove Powerhouse ATTIC THEORY Drops Explosive New Single “Savour The Moment”

0

Liverpool alt groove rock band ATTIC THEORY has just released their explosive new single, “Savour The Moment,” via ThunderGun Records, marking an exciting new chapter for the band. The release perfectly coincides with their much anticipated performance at Planet RockStock, where they will share the stage with Kris Barras’ Hollow Souls and headliners Ugly Kid Joe. Following the success of their 2024 debut album, ‘What We Fear The Most’, which impressively charted on iTunes across five countries and earned heavy airplay from Planet Rock, Kerrang! Radio, BBC Radio, and TotalRock, ATTIC THEORY continues to cement their place as one of the UK’s most compelling new rock acts, even gaining recognition from Planet Rock Radio’s ‘The Rocks’ Awards.

“Savour The Moment” immediately introduces fans to a heavier, more dynamic side of ATTIC THEORY and marks the first recording to feature new bassist Michael McCarroll. The track delivers thunderous riffs and powerful hooks while retaining the band’s unmistakable melodic edge. Vocalist Lewis Wright explains that the song “encourages listeners to appreciate the present, learn from their experiences, and let go of the past to pave the way for a brighter future. It’s a reminder that you can’t have your cake and eat it too; life is about making choices and recognising that sometimes we must sacrifice certain things to truly savour what we have.” With its blend of emotion, grit, and groove, “Savour The Moment” perfectly captures ATTIC THEORY’s evolution and passion for authentic, hard hitting songwriting. Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be a landmark year for the band, with their sophomore album, ‘Small Town Monsters’, set for release, alongside more singles and live dates across the UK.

Kula Shaker Unlocks Lost Gem “Be Merciful” From Upcoming Psychedelic Album ‘Wormslayer’

0

Kula Shaker, consistently one of Britain’s most exhilarating live bands, has opened a fantastic window into their ambitious new era with the release of the new track, “Be Merciful.” This new song arrives ahead of their anticipated album ‘Wormslayer’, which is set for release on January 30th. The band has been amplifying anticipation for the record with the singles “Good Money,” “Charge of the Light Brigade,” and “Broke as Folk,” and “Be Merciful” further elevates the excitement. This new track is a classic Kula Shaker deep cut, part folk song and part soulful lament, which actually began almost twenty years ago as an acoustic demo produced by electronic pioneer Mark Pritchard—a vinyl bootleg of this demo has since become a highly collectible seven inch single.

Frontman Crispian Mills explains the unique journey of the song, noting, “There was a limited vinyl pressing, but it was such an obscure release. I wasn’t sure if it had even happened until, years later, fans would ask me to sign their copies. The song always had a special quality though, and Kula Shaker would play it from time to time and we found it really worked alongside the other tracks on ‘Wormslayer.’” He adds that they wisely kept a lot of Mark’s original ideas: his spooky mellotrons and analog ambient spaces, then dialled in the power and live energy of a band performance, with the stunning final result being electric. ‘Wormslayer’ is an album that never stays in one lane, detouring beyond its electrifying psychedelic heartbeat and into gothic crooning, pastoral folk, and expansive mantra metal.

The band has just announced details of ‘The Inner Circle Shows’, a series of rare, intimate performances in small rooms across the UK, where they will strip back the noise and reconnect with fans in a closer setting. This run starts at Liverpool’s legendary Cavern Club, where the band will be awarded a brick in the Cavern Wall of Fame as they play their smallest show in 20 years. 2026 will see Kula Shaker head out on a full UK headline tour, which culminates in London at the Islington Assembly Hall, and they have also announced a subsequent European tour. All shows will be illuminated by the mind bending vision of The Mad Alchemist Liquid Light Show.

Country Royalty T.G. Sheppard and Kelly Lang Release ‘Tender Tennessee Christmas’ Album

0

Country music legend T.G. Sheppard and acclaimed singer songwriter and author Kelly Lang are excited to release their latest collaboration, the beautiful holiday album ‘Tender Tennessee Christmas’. This 10 song collection is filled with their signature harmonies and genuine connection, giving new life to beloved holiday favorites and original tracks alike. The duo included popular Christmas songs such as “Christmas Without You,” “Hard Candy Christmas,” “Mary Did You Know,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” and “White Christmas,” which features a wonderful duet with The Oak Ridge Boys. The title track itself, which is one of their all time favorite Christmas songs, was actually written by the talented Amy Grant and Gary Chapman, and Sheppard shares that when they were choosing songs for the project, the lyrics brought them immense comfort, making it a natural inclusion on the album.

The music video for the title track, which was sponsored by Gus Arrendale and Springer Mountain Farms, premiered digitally by GodTube and will make its television debut on the American Country Network on November 28th at 6:00 AM ET and again at 4:00 PM ET, with additional airings throughout the holiday season. The duo also filmed the video at the historically rich Johnny Cash Cabin Recording Studio, with Sheppard noting, “What a thrill it was to film the video at The Johnny Cash cabin recording studio. You could feel the history within the walls.” The duo will also perform “Tender Tennessee Christmas” on ‘The Dailey & Vincent Show Christmas Special’ Saturday, November 29th at 8:30 PM ET on RFD TV and again on December 13th. Lang summed up their enthusiasm, sharing that, “T.G. and I have always loved Christmas. It is my favorite time of year with all of the decorations, classic movies, and timeless music. We have been talking about doing this album for years and are so excited to share it with you. Merry Christmas, everyone!!”

Oasis Live ‘25 Tour Closes After Changing the Game and Conquering the Globe

0

Last night in São Paulo, Brazil, Oasis performed the final show of their triumphant all conquering Oasis Live ‘25 tour. The 41 electrifying nights received unilateral praise and rave reviews across the UK, Ireland, North America, Asia, Australia, and South America.

In August 2024 Oasis ended 16 long years of feverish speculation by confirming their long-awaited return. The reunion that so many thought would never come to pass was now finally, unbelievably, a reality. The Oasis Live ‘25 tour became a cultural phenomenon overnight. The anticipation surrounding the year-long build up to the opening show captivated the attention and devotion of generations all over the world.

On 4th July 2025 fans from as far as Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America travelled to Cardiff for the tour’s opening. The audience were awed. Completely united. Endlessly giving. Every word screamed back at the band in a moment of pure harmony and joy. It had begun. The Sunday Times confirmed, “the biggest rock comeback in history. This is the start of Oasis summer.”

The global multi-generational enthusiasm for Oasis Live ‘25 cannot be underestimated. “Oasis have finally conquered the States”, claimed Billboard as the tour reached North America. In New Jersey Vogue said, “more than a decade after their infamous (and, thankfully, temporary) breakup, the band’s lore and allure have remained firmly intact – and proven irresistible to 20-somethings.” In Los Angeles, The Hollywood Reporter said, “fans of every generation were present, but the evening belonged to those born this century – many of whom cried through song after song.” In Mexico City, El Universal said, “in every city they visit, more than a concert, it’s a cultural event.” Korean newspaper Dong-A Daily saw, “92% of the audience in their teens and thirties. The younger generation was thrilled”. Rolling Stone Japan witnessed, “a social phenomenon that has even drawn in Generation Z”.

The tour has filled people’s lives with a sense of togetherness. When Oasis Live ‘25 returned to Wembley Stadium in September the Guardian saw “the closest anyone has felt to national peace in decades … The unity and euphoria it created is unforgettable.

Oasis Live ‘25 has created moments of impulsive celebration that will go down in folklore. At Manchester’s Heaton Park fans created a new local landmark in Gallagher Hill, whilst the NME saw “the true opening night of the mammoth Live ’25 tour, with Oasis mania taking over every part of the city”. Hordes of fans surrounded Dublin’s Croke Park, unified in their roaring rendition of Half The World Away. In Melbourne a local bar owner published an open love letter to Oasis, calling the tour an “unexpected force for good” and an “economic juggernaut” for the city, crediting the tour with rescuing his business by generating unprecedented footfall. A viral moment captured the Melbourne fans packed across the steps of the Southern Cross Station, singing Don’t Look Back In Anger. In Buenos Aires the crowd delivered the tour’s finest poznań – the nightly ritual surge of bodies and voices as Oasis launch into Cigarettes & Alcohol. Thousands lined the streets of Santiago, eyes fixed on the swarm of drones forming the band’s iconic logo above the Estadio Nacional – a signature pre-show moment in every one of the 17 Oasis Live ’25 cities.

During all of this, Oasis fever has dominated the airwaves, streaming platforms and the UK Official Charts. This is showing no sign of slowing, with the newly released Familiar To Millions (25th Anniversary Edition), Time Flies, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? and Definitely Maybe all currently in the UK Top 40.

The Oasis Live ‘25 Tour has cemented the band’s place at the very top table in rock history. From their hometown to the Americas, to Australia and Asia, generations of Oasis fans came together for a shared experience of euphoria and joy. An incomparable moment in culture, the Live ‘25 Tour closes having changed the game and setting what may well turn out to be an unreachable bar.

Alaskan Tapes Reclaims Independence with Meditative New “Blank Slate” / “Open Space” Singles

0

Toronto based ambient composer Brady Kendall is celebrating his independence with a deeply textured new AA side release, “Blank Slate” and “Open Space,” a quietly stirring collaboration with Portland saxophonist Blu Miles. Together, the two tracks form a meditative diptych, lush, spacious, and achingly human, that marks a powerful new chapter in Kendall’s ongoing journey through sound and self. Over the past decade, Kendall, who records as Alaskan Tapes, has quietly become one of the most respected voices in modern ambient and neoclassical music, amassing hundreds of millions of streams and earning recognition from platforms like BBC Radio 3, KEXP, and Apple Music. His music is patient, textured, and cinematic, focusing on emotional truth rendered through powerful restraint.

The new release captures that balance perfectly. What began as a remote collaboration, with Kendall sending early demos to Miles for improvisation, evolved into something wholly new. Kendall explains: “I had originally sent Blu completely different tracks and had him play multiple lines. When I received his recordings, I scrapped my parts entirely and rewrote everything from the ground up. Thankfully, we were doing house renovations at the time, so natural movement and noise bled into the recordings. It made everything feel alive.” Kendall states that “‘Blank Slate’ was written as proof to myself that I didn’t need to conform to current structures in this type of music. Now, out of a recent record deal, I could do what I wanted — and this is what I came up with. With Blu’s help, we created something lush, noisy, and minimal. It sounds like how I felt about the situation.” The accompanying short film, Blank Slate, Open Space, directed by Kyle Rose, is a beautiful meditation on endings and beginnings.
