0

Zara Larsson keeps her ‘Midnight Sun’ burning bright with an official remix of the title track and vibrant viral single featuring GRAMMY Award winning artist Muni Long. The new version brings Muni Long’s flair and lyrical finesse to the shimmering, neon hued energy of the original alongside new verses from Zara, creating an unapologetically euphoric update radiating freedom, playfulness and power. Together the two deliver a celebration of confidence and connection under the song’s glowing sonic sky. The remix arrives as Zara reaches new heights with the original track earning a nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording at the 2026 GRAMMY Awards, a career first nod for the multiplatinum Swedish superstar.

The album ‘Midnight Sun’ was released earlier this fall to universal acclaim alongside a slew of career bests for Zara. The album landed a top 3 debut on the Billboard Top Dance Albums chart and top 25 of the Billboard Top Album Sales chart at number 22 among several other chart debuts. “Crush” recently hit number 1 on the Dance Radio chart and is currently Top 16 on the Pop Published chart. Alongside the album’s momentum, Zara Larsson recently surpassed 10.5 billion streams. New certifications from the RIAA across her catalogue include 4x Platinum for “Never Forget You,” 3x Platinum for “Lush Life” and Gold for “Wow,” “I Would Like,” “All The Time,” and “I Can’t Fall In Love Without You.”

Heliara Returns With “I Know That You Love Me” From Upcoming EP ‘Everything’s A Love Song’ Exploring Opposite Attraction

0

Ottawa-based singer-songwriter Heliara returns with “I Know That You Love Me,” a refreshingly honest and heartfelt pop track about the beauty and complexity of loving – and being loved by – your opposite. As the newest offering from her upcoming EP Everything’s a Love Song, the single captures the contradictions of real-world relationships, embracing both their joy and imperfection with wit, vulnerability, and irresistible rhythm.

“Falling in love with your polar opposite has its beauties and challenges and this song documents the journey of a very real long-term relationship,” Heliara shares. “It may not be your typical love song, but it is a love song nonetheless, infused with the vulnerability, quirkiness and authenticity that typically characterizes my songwriting.”

Originally written and performed live in 2024, the track took on new life nearly a year later when Heliara revisited and rewrote most of its lyrics, sharpening the focus on authenticity and emotional contrast. Produced by Steve Foley at Audio Valley Recording Studio, the final version brings together lo-fi textures and pop polish – a sonic reflection of the song’s dualities.

Steve suggested adding this cool lo-fi beat to the verses, which gives them such a neat colour before ascending into the more traditional pop beat of the chorus,” Heliara explains. “There’s also this rhythmic ‘push’ in the chords which gives it an energetic, danceable and interesting flow. The bridge has a more hip-hop style beat under it, which provides a marked contrast to the verses and chorus.”

Balancing vulnerability and confidence, the single continues Heliara’s mission to make music that feels real – songs that mirror the full range of the human experience, from messy to magical. “As a songwriter and creative, I feel that my music gives a voice to those who may see themselves reflected in my own humanity, vulnerabilities and struggles,” Heliara says. “Life can be a wild ride, and we are all in it together!”

Katy Battles Endometriosis For 24 Years And Now Set To Release New Christmas Charity Single With Simon From The Bay City Rollers

0

Once hailed as one of the UK’s most promising young voices, singer Katy was tipped to become the next big thing before life took an unexpected turn. At just 16 she signed with iconic Rockfield Studios record label collaborating with top producers and songwriters. By 19 both Atlantic Records and Sony were vying to sign her with Fatboy Slim lined up to remix her debut single. At the height of her early success, Katy was diagnosed with endometriosis, a chronic and debilitating condition that left her bedridden for days and unable to keep up with recording and touring demands. Within months her label funding disappeared and her once promising career fell apart, beginning a 24 year battle with the disease that would shape and test her life through numerous surgeries, hormone treatments and hospital stays.

Despite the challenges, Katy never gave up on music. At 28 she recorded a track that became a major hit in France, featured in a national TV advert and streamed millions of times with French audiences affectionately dubbing her “La Voix” (The Voice). Then came an even bigger surprise when Katy discovered she was pregnant despite doctors saying she would never have children. Her daughter Honey May was born followed by twin boys two years later, with motherhood giving her strength and temporarily easing her symptoms. She continued performing, writing and working as a session vocalist for high profile artists, always staying connected to the music that defined her. Now 44, Katy has endured a hysterectomy, multiple organ complications and currently awaits surgery to remove her ovaries and repair further damage. When Simon from The Bay City Rollers invited her to record vocals for a new Christmas charity single with an all-star band, Katy immediately said yes and chose Endometriosis UK as the charity to benefit. Her story is one of resilience, hope and the healing power of music, proving that even in the face of pain, purpose can shine through. You can pre-save it here.
