Martin Atkins: “The Myth of Efficiency in Creative Media”

Entrepreneur, educator, and musician Martin Atkins is the definition of entrepreneurial activity in cultural arts endeavors. His 35+ years in the music business spans across genres, borders, and industries.

Martin is the Music Business Dept Chair at SAE Institute Chicago, was a member of Public Image Ltd, founded industrial supergroup Pigface, and has contributed to Nine Inch Nails (for which he has a Grammy). He’s the owner of Invisible Records and Mattress Factory Recording Studios. He’s also the author of Tour:Smart and Band:Smart. Martin is a producer, drummer, documentary filmmaker, DJ, and father of four.
