Gavin Adcock Breaks Hearts With New Song “Loose Strings”

Country music’s rising star Gavin Adcock is back with a new song that’s bound to leave an impact. “Loose Strings” is a raw, gritty track about the messiness of love and the emotional chaos that comes with a relationship falling apart. Written by Brent Cobb, Erik Dylan, and Phillip White, the song explores that feeling of holding onto something that’s already slipping away. Listen here.

In “Loose Strings,” Adcock paints a picture of a love that’s tangled up in little things—like a jacket left behind or unfinished business. It’s about trying to make sense of a relationship that’s falling apart, but no matter how hard you try, you just keep pulling at loose strings. With its gritty Southern rock vibe and Adcock’s signature growl, this track gets straight to the heart of the messiness we all go through when things go wrong.

Loose Strings” follows the massive success of Adcock’s debut album Actin’ Up Again, which racked up over 300 million streams and introduced him as one of country’s most exciting new voices. With hits like “A Cigarette” and “Run Your Mouth,” the album made a major splash.

Adcock’s been out on his Actin’ Up Again (Again) Tour, and the guy’s a force on stage—selling out nearly every show. The 2025 leg of the tour has already sold out across the board, with fans showing up in droves to see Adcock’s no-filter approach to songwriting and his high-energy live performances. The remaining dates are sure to be some of the most talked-about shows of the year, with Almost Gone collaborator Vincent Mason joining as opener.

Gavin Adcock is a Georgia native born and raised in Watkinsville. Former Georgia Southern University football player, Gavin grew up working on his family cattle farm and dreamed of riding bulls in the PBR. He started writing songs in high school, but it wasn’t until the spring of 2021, when Adcock tore his knee playing football, that he used his healing time to record and release his first original single. Since then, Gavin has released multiple singles, collectively amassing over 600 million US streams including the fan-favorite “A Cigarette” raking in 110 million+ alone, along with his new album, Actin’ Up Again, which was crowned the largest major-label country debut from a solo male artist released in 2024. With more than 15 million on-demand U.S. streams week of release, Actin’ Up Again was also 2024’s top streaming major-label debut across the whole genre. On the heels of Actin’ Up Again, Adcock’s headlining tour dates continue to sell out almost as soon as they announce, with plenty of more dates being added, along with major festival appearances, throughout 2025.
