The high seas are about to get a whole lot proggier. Cruise to the Edge, the world’s premier Progressive Rock cruise experience, has announced its eleventh voyage, setting sail April 2-8, 2027, from Miami aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Jewel.
The six-day, six-night full-ship charter will visit three ports across the Caribbean, with stops in Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico, plus the private island of Harvest Caye, Belize. Public on-sale begins today (6/8) at 9:00 am PT / 12:00 pm ET, with cabins starting at $1,499.00 per person based on double occupancy.
Leading the bill are four prog heavyweights: Kansas, Steve Hackett, Big Big Train, and Asia. The full lineup stretches past 30 artists, a deep roster that mixes legends with rising stars and gives fans far more music than any single weekend on land could hold.
Returning cruise favorites include Haken, Pendragon, Neal Morse & The Resonance, Von Hertzen Brothers, Caligula’s Horse, Temic, Crown Lands, Spock’s Beard, and Moon Safari, alongside Jane Getter Premonition, Thank You Scientist, Rendezvous Point, Lari Basilio, Gazpacho, Dave Cureton, Dave Kerzner and Friends, Marbin, and Gabriel Agudo. Making their first CTTE voyage are The Dear Hunter, Lunatic Soul, Voyage 35, Ozric Tentacles, Cheeto’s Magazine, Mike Keneally & Beer For Dolphins, Haunt the Woods, Spafford, and Dim Gray. Official hosts Jon Kirkman, Roie Avin, and Mike Dawson return to moderate Q&As and activities.
The onboard experience reaches well beyond the stage. Cruisers can take part in artist photo experiences, Q&A sessions, and special theme nights, all designed to close the gap between performer and fan. The cruise once again features CTTE Late Night Live, billed as the largest pro-am showcase of live prog music in the world, hosted by Rob Rutz. Fans can sign up to perform across four scenarios, from jamming with a headline act on the Late Night Live Pro Jam to sharing the stage with prog legends on Artist’s Choice.
The ship itself is a destination. The namesake of Norwegian’s Jewel Class fleet, the Norwegian Jewel offers pristine staterooms, the award-winning Mandara Spa, and more than 25 dining and bar venues, including Cagney’s Steakhouse, Le Bistro, and the Maltings Beer & Whiskey Bar.
The three ports add their own flavor. Cozumel brings crystal-clear waters and world-renowned coral reefs along the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, plus ancient Mayan sites and the colorful markets of San Miguel. Harvest Caye delivers a resort-style island escape with white-sand beaches, a lagoon-style pool with swim-up bars, and ziplining for the more adventurous. Costa Maya rounds things out with white-sand beaches, archaeological sites like Chacchoben and Kohunlich, and the laid-back beach village of Mahahual minutes from port.
More than a cruise, CTTE 2027 is a progressive rock festival at sea, where legendary artists, intimate venues, and stunning Caribbean destinations meet for one immersive journey through five decades of the genre. For a taste of what’s in store, the 2026 recap is worth a watch.
