Mötley Crüe are taking over the multiplex for a night. For the first time, fans across the United States can catch the band’s acclaimed biopic ‘The Dirt’ on the big screen at Regal for a one-night-only event on Saturday, June 27.
The screening is part of the band’s 45th anniversary celebration and sets the stage for The Return Of The Carnival Of Sins North American Tour, which kicks off July 17. Before the film rolls, audiences get an exclusive never-before-seen pre-show Q&A video featuring members of the band, made specifically for this event.
Based on the band’s bestselling autobiography ‘The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band,’ the tell-all biopic hands moviegoers an all-access pass to the on-and-off-stage lives of one of rock’s most iconic groups. It charts their rise from the Sunset Strip to the world stage through alternating viewpoints, digging into what the journey meant to each member.
There’s a bonus for the faithful. Right after the film comes the first-ever theatrical showing of the legendary 1986 documentary ‘Mötley Crüe: Uncensored,’ which trails the band around Los Angeles and features excerpts from two never-before-seen videos for “Take Me to the Top” and “Public Enemy #1,” plus 25 uncensored minutes of behind-the-scenes footage.
The event takes place at 98 Regal locations nationwide, three weeks before the band launches its 33-date Return Of The Carnival Of Sins tour, marking 20 years since the original Carnival Of Sins run. Promoted by Live Nation, the tour brings the band’s high-impact live show, explosive production, and decades of hits back to North America. On July 10, the band also releases a limited-edition picture disc box set, ‘Crücial Crüe 1981-1989,’ via BMG.
Advance tickets for showtimes of The Dirt at Regal locations are available now at select theatre box offices / kiosks, on the mobile app, and through REGmovies.com.
