Maximo Park Celebrates ‘A Certain Trigger’ 20th Anniversary With Tour And Reissue

Maximo Park is gearing up for a major celebration because their beloved debut album, ‘A Certain Trigger’, is hitting its twentieth anniversary. The band is marking the occasion by announcing a massive UK 2026 tour, where they will perform songs from the Mercury Prize-nominated record alongside their greatest hits. This whole exciting event kicks off with the album’s reissue on October 31st, available now in single LP, double gatefold LP, and 3xLP formats.

The reissue is a treasure trove for fans, including the ‘Missing Songs’ collection with tracks like ‘A19’, ‘Isolation’, and ‘My Life in Reverse’. Plus, there is a ‘Rarities & B-Sides’ CD featuring gems such as ‘Wasteland’ and ‘Limassol (First Avenue demo)’. This album, produced by Paul Epworth and released on Warp, instantly stood out twenty years ago with iconic singles like ‘Apply Some Pressure’, ‘Graffiti’, and ‘Going Missing’, which still dominate indie dance floors.

Lead singer Paul Smith sums up the energy perfectly, saying, “Not many bands make it to a twentieth year together so we’re having a big celebration, with a special 20th anniversary tour and by giving a fresh perspective to A Certain Trigger.” He added, “Playing live has always been at the heart of what we do, and we still feel the same exhilaration stepping onto the stage as we did in the beginning, but now with even more appreciation of the moment, and the roar of the crowds.” This tour is pure excitement.

The tour sees them return to iconic spots like London’s O2 Academy Brixton and culminates with a huge hometown show at Newcastle’s legendary O2 City Hall.
