Japanese legends Boris celebrate the 20 year anniversary of ‘Pink’ and ‘dronevil’ with expansive new editions that spotlight two defining works in their catalog. ‘Pink’ returns as a 20th anniversary reissue presented for the first time as a 2XLP following the original CD sequence, complete with a special D side etching. A deluxe box set expands the era even further, collecting unreleased studio material, live recordings, and rare rough mixes across a six LP presentation that captures the album’s full creative universe.
The long awaited return of ‘dronevil’ arrives as a newly realized 2XLP mix titled ‘dronevil – example –’, bringing together its ambient and crushing sides into a single vinyl experience for the first time. To mark the celebration, Boris also share a live performance of “Pink,” recorded during their 10th anniversary tour at Shindaita Fever in Japan, with the audio featured in the new box set. The band carry the momentum forward with an extensive North American anniversary tour this fall, reviving the original three piece lineup and the setlist that reshaped heavy rock in vivid color.
