San Francisco prepares for a public gathering this Saturday, January 17, to honor the life and legacy of Bobby Weir. The event, titled “Homecoming: Celebrating the life of Bobby Weir,” takes place at Civic Center Plaza starting at 12:45 pm PT. A memorial procession will precede the gathering at approximately 12:30 pm PT, traveling three blocks down Market Street between 7th and 9th Streets. Organizers have designated Fulton Plaza as the primary entrance for those attending the ceremony at 335 McAllister Street. This gathering focuses on collective remembrance and gratitude through a series of special tributes dedicated to Weir. This event is a beautiful and dignified way for the San Francisco community to gather in his honor. There are no live musical performances scheduled as this is a formal public tribute rather than a concert.
