Snail Mail announces her first album in five years with ‘Ricochet’, arriving March 27 via Matador. Written and recorded with a renewed sense of urgency and clarity, the album marks a bold new chapter for Lindsey Jordan. The lead single “Dead End” arrives alongside a self-directed video co-created with Elsie Richter.
Jordan described the video shoot as an overnight adventure across rural North Carolina, saying, “The goal was to be inconspicuous with the fireworks, but someone called the cops on us.” Since her last release, ‘Valentine’, Jordan has expanded her creative world through film, covers, and community projects, while continuing to sharpen her songwriting voice. ‘Ricochet’ delivers a striking run of songs that reward close listening and stand confidently within Snail Mail’s evolving catalog.
