British Music Embassy Unleashes 58 Breakthrough UK Artists At SXSW 2026

The British Music Embassy returns to SXSW 2026 with its biggest statement yet – 58 of the UK’s most exciting new and emerging artists across 10 showcases in seven days at Palm Door on Sixth. From Thursday, March 12 to Wednesday, March 18, Austin becomes a launchpad for the next wave of British breakthrough talent.

DJ AG, MEEK, Mae Muller, Adult DVD and Sofia And The Antoinettes lead a line-up that spans indie, pop, rap, electronic and beyond. Since 2008, BME has hosted 715 UK acts at SXSW, with alumni including Olivia Dean, Sam Fender, Little Simz, Jungle and The 1975. The track record speaks loudly. Careers move forward here.

For the first time, London’s carnival spirit takes center stage with a dedicated Notting Hill Carnival-inspired showcase marking 60 years of the cultural institution. Kolt AI and Happaning deliver a takeover fueled by masquerade dancers and the legendary Rampage Sound, bringing dancehall, R&B and hip-hop energy straight to 6th Street.

BME remains the official UK musical presence at SXSW, powered by PPL, PRS, BPI, the Department for Business and Trade, British Council, PRS Foundation and BBC Introducing. UK House returns March 14 to 17, spotlighting disruptive creative technology alongside music. Panels, networking and world-class production from Production Park ensure the platform matches the ambition.
