UK Pop-Punk Winners Autumn Fires Ignite With ‘BLOOM.’ EP

Milton Keynes and North London pop-punk quintet Autumn Fires release their high-energy EP ‘BLOOM.’, out now via Marshall Records. The project arrives alongside focus single “Closure,” a punchy, emotionally charged anthem that captures the band’s signature balance of uplift and ache. Winners of Kerrang! Radio’s The Deal competition, Autumn Fires continue their rapid ascent with a sound that feels bold, melodic, and built for community.

“Closure” began simply, written by Luca Testa and Neil Dowd on an acoustic guitar in Luca’s living room before the full band shaped it into its final form. Lyrically, the track explores the difficulty of finding answers when love slips away, pairing sharp, breathless hooks with heartfelt reflection. The band describes it as a song about letting go, healing, and discovering that pain is not permanent. Eagle-eyed fans will also spot a hidden nod to their previous EP woven into the lyrics.

Formed during the pandemic, Autumn Fires built their chemistry online before bringing that connection to stages across the UK. Fronted by Charlotte Haimes, the band channels the influence of The Story So Far, Tonight Alive, and Knuckle Puck into a style that blends sunshine energy with emotional depth. Charlotte’s poetic, metaphor-rich lyricism gives each song an openness that invites listeners to make it their own.

Their Kerrang! Radio win secured studio time at The Marshall Studio with producer Romesh Dodangoda and a release through Marshall Records, marking a major milestone. With ‘BLOOM.’ now out in the world, Autumn Fires step forward as one of UK pop-punk’s most exciting new voices.
