Dutch garage rock band Iguana Death Cult have released the new single “Guns Out”, the title track from their upcoming album ‘Guns Out’. The record arrives April 10 via Greenway Records and The Reverberation Appreciation Society and marks a return to the band’s punchy garage rock roots after the more indie-leaning direction of their previous album ‘Echo Palace’.
Following the earlier single “I Like It, It’s Nice”, a quirky critique of consumer culture, “Guns Out” shifts the focus inward. The band describe the track as capturing the volatile energy of extreme mood swings, balancing moments of vulnerability with explosive bursts of chaotic rock intensity.
The Rotterdam group channels their early punk and garage influences across the album, driven by Tobias Opschoor’s sharp guitar riffs, Uri Rennert’s relentless drumming, Jimmy de Kok’s rhythmic groove, and Jeroen Reek’s raw vocals. The result is a tougher, more direct sound that reflects both personal introspection and the turbulent atmosphere surrounding the band.
