Soulful blues saxophonist and vocalist Vanessa Collier launches the spring leg of her year-long “Keep It Saxy” 2026 Tour on March 13 at Unit B in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The show begins at 7 p.m. as the multi-award-winning performer brings her high-energy mix of blues, funk, soul, and rock to stages across North America this spring.
Momentum surrounds Collier heading into the run. She is a triple nominee at the 2026 Blues Music Awards, earning recognition for B.B. King Entertainer of the Year, Band of the Year, and Contemporary Blues Female Artist. Across her career she has earned fifteen nominations and five wins. The 47th Annual Blues Music Awards take place May 7 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Collier’s sixth album ‘Do It My Own Way’ arrived in September 2024 through her own Phenix Fire Records. Recorded on analog equipment with musicians performing together in the same room, the record channels the classic Memphis soul sound of Stax and Hi Records. Tracks like “Elbow Grease,” “Take Me Back,” “Shoulda Known Better,” and “Just One More” drive the album with punchy horn arrangements, layered vocals, and commanding saxophone work. The record moves with deep groove and sharp musicianship, a release that lands with authority.
