Ranveer Singh’s upcoming action sequel Dhurandhar 2 is gearing up for a major theatrical launch, and audiences may get more than just one blockbuster preview. Reports say the teasers for two highly anticipated films — Cocktail 2 and Raja Shivaji — will debut exclusively alongside the movie when it hits theaters March 19.
The move is designed to capitalize on the enormous buzz surrounding Dhurandhar 2, the follow-up to the 2025 global smash that became the highest-grossing Indian film of the year. Attaching the teasers to the theatrical release gives moviegoers a first look at two of the industry’s most talked-about upcoming projects.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 continues the story of Hamza Ali Mazari, played by Ranveer Singh, an undercover Indian spy who infiltrates a powerful criminal network. The newly released trailer shows Hamza taking control of the volatile Lyari region while confronting enemies and the consequences of his past.
The sequel also dives deeper into Hamza’s backstory as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, exploring how he was recruited into a high-stakes intelligence mission. The trailer hints at an even more intense and violent chapter as the character seeks revenge while navigating shifting alliances.
Several familiar faces return to the franchise. Sanjay Dutt reprises his role as Chaudhry Aslam, while R. Madhavan returns as the intelligence strategist guiding the mission. Arjun Rampal steps forward as the primary villain Major Iqbal, setting up a brutal showdown with Singh’s character.
Other returning cast members include Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi, while Akshaye Khanna — whose character died in the first film — is reportedly set to appear in a cameo.
The original Dhurandhar was a box-office phenomenon, grossing more than ₹1,300 crore worldwide and becoming the biggest film of Ranveer Singh’s career. Its soundtrack also became a viral sensation, with remixed classics and new tracks dominating music charts.
With massive expectations for the sequel and exclusive teaser debuts planned, Dhurandhar 2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest theatrical events of 2026.
