Manchester’s savage sons WODE have returned with their fourth album, ‘Uncrossing The Keys’, which is out now. The record marks a confident expansion of their already formidable sound, built upon a shadowy foundation of feral black metal and ironclad heavy metal heft. Having evolved from the more straightforward methodology of their debut, WODE has continuously embraced a wider spectrum of moods, painting with blacker, richer hues across this newest work. Their sound remains steeped in flame and fury, but the songwriting has grown leaner yet more intricate, focused, and melodic than ever before.

The nine track opus masterfully blends genres, allowing jagged post punk and goth leanings to bleakly shine on tracks like “Saturn Shadow” and the atmospheric instrumental “Phantom.” The doomier pace and majestically pensive mood of the single “Transmutation” recalls both Paradise Lost and Amorphis with its sombre undercurrent, while the morosely anthemic “Under Lanternlight” is suffused with dynamic melodies. The guitars carry a mournful shimmer at times, their hooks laced with both melancholy and menace, drifting above the carnage with moments of elegiac beauty and dark lamentation. ‘Uncrossing The Keys’ was expertly recorded and mixed by James Atkinson at The Stationhouse and mastered by Magnus Lindberg, resulting in a truly haunted and commanding blackened heavy metal album.

Nettwerk is thrilled to announce the signing of Gardena, CA Latin indie band Inner Wave. This sweeping homage to unforgettable film melodies is Hauser’s first solo foray into the genre, offering a more introspective and curated collection that reflects his own cinematic passions. The album was preceded by his soul stirring rendition of “What Was I Made For?,” the Oscar winning hit by Billie Eilish and Finneas from the Barbie Movie. Reimagined as a powerful solo cello piece, the single is paired with a visually striking music video that finds Hauser at his most expressive, channeling the song’s vulnerability and depth through his unmistakable artistry.

‘Cinema’ features 25 tracks recorded with the prestigious London Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Robert Ziegler, spanning decades of cinematic history. The album was preceded by the release of his hell raising new single, “Trouble,” a swampy, grungy number that finds St. John amidst a rock tinged bender as he attempts to exercise his darkest demons. “They say it’s darkest before the dawn, and ‘Trouble’ is the point in the album and in my life where I reached my darkest days,” said St. John. “They never tell you how dark it is down at rock bottom.”

The album, which has amassed significant buzz with over 90 million streams worldwide, is a powerful and personal statement from the Spokane born, Nashville based artist, who channels ferocity into every aspect of the project. It follows the gritty title track “Man Of The North,” which Wide Open Country called “a powerful song that I can’t get enough of.” The album, which features collaborations with Grammy winner Molly Tuttle and Houndmouth, finds St. John blending Americana, outlaw country, and rock with raw, immediate, and vulnerable songwriting. Actor, screenwriter, and director Molly Gordon and producer and multi instrumentalist Blake Mills have released their new duet, “Islands in the Stream,” which is available everywhere out now. The track is featured in the Sony Pictures Classics film Oh, Hi!, which was also produced and co conceived by Gordon alongside writer and director Sophie Brooks. Gordon and Mills deliver a fresh and intimate folk version of the beloved classic, which was originally written by The Bee Gees and famously recorded by country icons Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.

Gordon shared her sheer excitement about working with Mills, stating, “When Sophie and I were developing OH, HI! and she came up with the dream sequence, she mentioned that she planned to ask her friend Blake Mills to help us out. I tried to play it very cool, but I was secretly freaking out inside as he is my favorite artist.” She added, “We only had a couple of hours to record the cover, but we had an immediate language – and again, I tried to hide how much of a dream those few hours were.” Mills affirmed the unique experience, saying, “We got to take this song to the moon – fitting for its usage in the film – and I think we ended up with something that truly stands on its own merits.”

This 1991 concert, which was recorded at Manchester’s historic Free Trade Hall, had been “lost for over 20 years” until its master tapes were rediscovered and restored for an archival release in 2014. Now, fans worldwide can finally stream or download the entire performance in high quality digital audio and video, with the content landing on major platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.

Recorded before a sold out crowd on October 22, 1991, ‘Live in Manchester’ captures Don McLean in peak form, delivering over ninety minutes of music.
