To ensure an unrivaled listening experience, all album lacquers are AAA cut directly from the original stereo master tapes by Kevin Gray, while Optimal handles the 180-gram vinyl pressing. The meticulous attention to detail extends to the aesthetic experience, with glossy covers and “tip-on” jackets reminiscent of vinyl’s golden age. Each Rhino High Fidelity release also comes with exclusive content about the album, such as photos and behind-the-scenes stories.

Released in 1960, saxophonist Ornette Coleman’s Change of the Century is an avant-garde masterpiece, showcasing his innovative “free jazz” approach. The unconventional improvisations, lack of a traditional chordal structure, and the interplay among the musicians mark a pivotal moment in the evolution of jazz. The Rhino High Fidelity release features an exclusive insert with notes by journalist Dan Daley.

Television’s Marquee Moon became a landmark in the punk and post-punk genres following its arrival in 1977. Teeming with intricate guitar work, poetic lyrics, and extended instrumental passages, the album not only influenced punk but also shaped the alternative and indie rock landscapes. The Rhino High Fidelity release features an exclusive insert with notes by David Fricke, featuring commentary from band members Richard Lloyd, Fred Smith, and Billy Fica.

The Cars’ second album, Candy-O, helped create the new wave sound in 1979 with its polished pop hooks, catchy melodies, and the sleek production of Roy Thomas Baker. Instantly recognizable by its iconic Alberto Vargas cover, the album introduced smash hits like “Let’s Go” and “It’s All I Can Do,” propelling the album to #3 on the Billboard 200.

A highwater mark in the Grateful Dead’s studio album catalog, 1970’s American Beauty offers a blend of folk, country, and rock influenced by the Bakersfield Sound that emerged in California during the 1950s. The album features some of the band’s best-loved songs, including “Ripple,” “Sugar Magnolia,” and “Box Of Rain.”

Saxophonist ohn Coltrane explored modal jazz and world music influences on his 1961 album, Olé Coltrane. The title track, in particular, draws inspiration from Spanish and North African musical traditions while underscoring Coltrane’s continued artistic evolution and boundary-pushing creativity.

Decades intohis brilliant career, Miles Davis added a significant chapter to his already extensive discography in 1986 with Tutu. The album was produced by Marcus Miller and embraced contemporary electronic and fusion sounds, earning Davis the Grammy® Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance, Soloist).

Rhino High Fdelity continues to tap into Warner Music’s extensive music catalog, bringing music enthusiasts and audiophiles superlative versions of landmark albums from diverse genres, including jaz, blues, rock, pop, and beyond. The series will release two classic albums quarterly, maintaining the same exceptional audio and packaging quality that has quickly defined Rhino High Fidelity.

Open-ear earbuds have gained significant traction in the market with numerous companies launching various types recently. These innovative earbuds have taken the audio industry by storm, providing a unique listening experience that allows users to stay connected to the environment around them while still enjoying high-quality sound. Powerful Bass Performance

Though EMEET AirFlow focuses more on callling experience, when it comes to the audio performance for listening to music, it still delivers an exceptional performance thanks to the EMEET exclusive HyperBass bass boost algorithm and a 16.2mm dynamic driver.

Besides the above-mentioned features, EMEET AirFlow also offers an 8-hour play time per fully charged and a 40-hour play time with the charging case for long time usage. With the IPX5 waterproof, it gives exercise enthusiasts another choice of work-out earbuds.

TIAA, Wyclef Jean, and Hip-Hop Stars Launch New Track, “Paper Right,” to Spotlight Gaps in Retirement Savings and Generational Wealth

0

Too many Americans are not on track to reach a financially secure retirement. This is especially true for younger generations preparing to enter the workforce or who are starting their careers. In fact, 41% of young adults between ages 24 and 35 do not take advantage of or contribute to their employer sponsored retirement plan. Yet many remain unaware of the extent of the problem–until now. To get people listening, TIAA, a leading provider of secure retirements, teamed up with some of hip-hop’s biggest names to create an anthem that spotlights savings and retirement gaps while also combatting them.

TIAA joined forces with hip-hop legend and founding member of the Fugees, Wyclef Jean, on a new track titled “Paper Right,” featuring Pusha T, Lola Brooke, Capella Grey, and Flau’jae, to inspire younger generations to consider their financial legacy and ability to retire, leveraging music as a powerful medium. Hip-hop has a long and storied history of shining a light on challenges disproportionately impacting Black Americans. TIAA’s #RetireInequality campaign has drawn attention to retirement and savings gaps experienced by Black Americans, including the fact that 54% of Black Americans do not have enough money saved to maintain their standard of living in retirement, contributing to America’s retirement crisis.

“Music possesses an extraordinary ability to elevate awareness, inspire, and drive conversation among key audiences – including younger generations. While retirement may feel far away for younger Americans, the reality is that having these conversations now can help them achieve a financially secure future,” said Zara Mirza, Chief Brand Officer, TIAA. “The goal is for “Paper Right” to have real impact and spark thought among those starting in their careers to consider their financial future and retirement.”

“Paper Right is about building a financial legacy for future generations and the reward and gratification this brings. The most important thing I hope people take away from the song and my partnership with TIAA is that saving earlier can set you and your family up for long-term success,” said Wyclef Jean, founding member of the Fugees. “As a father, when I look at my financial legacy and impact, I want to make sure my daughter is taken care of and has the tools needed to understand why saving early and preparing for the future is crucial.”

“Paper Right” sparks essential conversations around retirement and encourages action to help close retirement gaps, improve financial education and literacy, and retire inequality for good. TIAA is working with First Generation Investors (FGI), a not-for-profit dedicated to empowering underserved high school students with investing literacy. Streaming the track will automatically donate 100% of the song’s sales to FGI to support financial education and investing literacy for future generations.

“First Generation Investors is an organization dedicated to providing underserved high school students with the financial knowledge and tools needed to take control of their financial futures,” said Stephanie Pressley, Executive Director of FGI. “We are thrilled to partner with TIAA to retire inequality as these efforts closely align with our mission. Through the sales of “Paper Right,” we can help the youth we serve to secure a better retirement, helping to close the retirement gap and lift future generations.”

Afropop Sensation ADEOLUWA Unveils Cinematic New Single ‘4,5,6’ From Upcoming King Of Detours EP

0

Bubbling under Nigerian-born, Regina, Saskatchewan-grown Afropop singer ADEOLUWA returns with cinematic new single “4,5,6.”  Defined by a sleek guitar riff and heartfelt lyricism, “4,5,6” is an ultrasmooth ballad in the same irresistible love-struck vein of early 2000s R&B with his upcoming King Of Detours EP.

Influenced by a wide variety of artists ranging from Tina Turner to Adekunle Gold to Stevie Wonder, ADEOLUWA refers to his unique, genre-bending sound as experimental Afro-fusion. The result is a musical style that transcends borders and a deeply personal, high energy stage presence that’s earned him the nickname “The Greatest Showman” within the DIY Saskatchewan scene.

2019 saw the artist release his vibrant debut LP, After Bells and Whistles alongside a captivating docuseries #DiscoverTheABAWAlbum, where he chronicled the making of the project. That same year, ADEOLUWA’s electric single “Escape” served as the opening act at the Saskatchewan Music Awards, catching the attention of numerous radio stations in and around the area.  Since then, he’s continued to build on that momentum, releasing 3 EPs, a live album, and a string of collaborations with fellow Canadian acts, as well as a stint as a vocalist for local Regina band People of the Sun.

These efforts have elevated his status as a rising star to watch, and his work has recently been hailed by the likes of CBC, Range Magazine, Pulse Music Journal, The Native Mag, and 49th Street. An impressive resume of live performances already under his belt, including a headlining set at the SaskMusic Winter Showcase (he has 5 nominations from the SaskMusic Awards, including a nomination for the very first AfroBeats Award Artist of the year category) and an appearance at Breakout West 2023, the artist is making waves as one of 2024’s must-listen up-and-coming acts, recognized by getting added on Spotify’s official New Music Friday playlist.

Now, with EP The King of Detours on the way, ADEOLUWA is ready to catapult his career to new heights. Born from the trials and tribulations that plagued what he says was one of the hardest periods of his life, the singer turned inward and leaned on his faith to cope with the immigration difficulties, career struggles, and personal heartbreak that he was going through at the time. “4, 5, 6,” an emotional track about love and loss, is one of the EP’s standouts — and a great teaser for what listeners can expect to hear on the rest of the project.

“The EP is called The King of Detours because last year was not what I planned, and I made many detours on my way and ended up with this beautiful record,” the artist explains. “‘4, 5,6’ is the perfect introduction to the project because it begins in the middle of a time of confusion and directionless transition.”

“4, 5,6” is out January 12th and will be available wherever you stream music. “I hope this story resonates with everyone who listens, and they listen to every word,” ADEOLUWA says. With a song that puts the artist’s magnetic storytelling abilities, silky vocals, and keen talent for addictive choruses on full display — it’s hard to do anything but.

Caroline Cotto’s First Full Album Bayou Sun is a Bluesy, Soulful Tapestry of Self-Discovery

0

Fiery blues, rock and soul songstress Caroline Cotto’s first full album is a musical tribute to her quest for her own individual truth. Before landing permanently in her now home of New Orleans, she spent years soaking up experiences while living in New York, Paris and London, walking the same inspirational paths of her artistic influences, writing her own music and poetry, and playing in downtown bars and clubs. Her album Bayou Sun, out now, is Cotto’s own stunning autobiography, with each track divulging crucial weaves that have formed her life tapestry of faith, love, and self-understanding.

Cotto’s track “Young Girl in the City” takes us to the start of her journey which began in New York City, a city Cotto refers to as the first love of her life. “I wanted to capture the rhythm of New York in my song,” she explains. “I see myself vividly walking up and down the avenue with desire in my soul to make a name for myself in the world. I feel the grit of the sidewalk and footsteps of my heroes. I see the young girl with a guitar performing in cafes rambling through the night with love and passion.”

Her success in musically seizing the sound of New York in “Young Girl in the City” is delightfully enchanting, as pounding heart drum beats from Country Hall of Fame drummer Eddie Bayers seem to thrust our senses directly into the routine of Manhattan’s bustling streets and sidewalks. Ronnie Eades’ – the co-founder of the Muscle Shoals Horns Section – saxophone then provides the illusion of scurrying taxi cabs, as Nelson Blanchard’s piano suggests varying conversations and crowded movements. Cotto’s guitar and soulful voice soon lure us in further with the lyrics “Paint my pain into a starry night/I know, the stars ain’t a dime/But dreams are better in moonlight,” reassuring us that any painful learning experiences here have only made her dreams grow clearer and stronger. As she continues on singing “Radio blasts, I’m free at last/All my tears slip through the sidewalk cracks,” we are made confident that music is the outlet that makes her pain disappear, before she leaves us with the hopeful lines “But I’ll find my way/I’ll find my way/I’ll find my way.”

Cotto is also quick to mention that both “Young Girl in the City’s co-producer, David Hyde plays bass on the song, and “Mystery Ride,” another track from her album, were inspired by Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run album. “His adventures of rock ‘n’ roll and romance in New Jersey captured my heart” she explains. “I love how Springsteen captures the magic of one night in his music.” Much like “Young Girl in the City”, “Mystery Ride” bursts musically with the excitement of endless possibility and wonder, though this time we are jolted into a shared adventure with someone we love and adore, while Cotto’s lyrics rouse “I see love written on the wind tonight/As we go down and down and down this/Mystery Ride.”

Cotto states that she has a curiosity not only for the capacity of love in the human soul, but also that of suffering. As we head toward the end of the album we hear Caroline Cotto’s solid musical versatility stretched and showcased even further in her track “Awake to Love”, a song that integrates bouncy reggae undertones and saxophone with deeply powerful and provocative lyrics such as “God bless the innocent/They learn from lies/Man throws bombs/In a child’s eyes/Hate grows when one’s asleep/Awake to love on the city streets.” Cotto addresses the heartbreak that innocent people often end up adjusting themselves due to evil, and that those who close their eyes to violence contribute to a growth of hatred. “‘Awake to Love’ is my song for the world,” she explains. “I remember myself in Audubon Park in New Orleans with my pen and paper looking at my reflection in the water and reflecting on the state of the world. ‘Awake to Love’ is my message to the global consciousness that Love is always the answer in any situation, especially in the face of war and destruction.”

Cotto insists that she has learned from her years of travel and through making this album that faith, daydreaming, and love are her greatest powers. “I daydreamed how I wanted my life to be every day until it was. I still have flashes of that young girl with a guitar and suitcase in hand going into the depths of the unknown riding the path into the Bayou Sun.”

0

Infusing a soulful sound with unfiltered authenticity, singer-songwriter JAXXEE, returns with a striking new single that promises to capture the hearts and souls of listeners. Her newest single, “so tired”, is a beautiful anthem that chronicles the chaos of weariness and resilience.

“so tired” delves into the universal experience of late-night self-reflection, capturing the exhaustion from the feeling of inadequacy. Born from a moment of inspiration during a car ride, JAXXEE questions the balance between strength and vulnerability, the authenticity of appearances in a social media-driven world, and the emotional turbulence of self-doubt. The production elevates the song with a soulful Americana style with JAXXEE and producer, Neil James Cooke-Dallin, opting for a live sound, raw and filled with the sound of a live band.

“so tired” is a testament to JAXXEE’s versatility as an artist. Seamlessly blending genres, she navigates effortlessly from the energetic stages of blues and soul to the introspective realms of this soul-stirring ballad. Additionally, the lyrics serve as a poignant exploration of self-doubt, and the internal battle between strength and vulnerability highlights JAXXEE’s lyrical prowess. Lines like “If I falter, do I fade” and “All these thoughts, they replay in my mind, over and over again” provide listeners with a window into the artist’s introspective journey.

JAXXEE’s music clearly reflects her self-trained musical background and a commitment to singing from a place deep within her soul. Her career in music has been greatly inspired by her personal story, including a transformative kidney donation, her tracks embody sincerity and emotional depth.

Global Sound Reinforcement Market Outlook 2023-2028 – Compound Annual Growth of 4.19% During 2022-2028

0

The “Sound Reinforcement Market – Global Outlook & Forecast 2023-2028” report has been added to  ResearchAndMarkets.com’s offering.

The global sound reinforcement market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.19% from 2022-2028.

Educational institutes are becoming one of the key end-users of pro AV solutions worldwide. Modern-day university campuses driven by technological advancements are revolutionizing. Smart campuses use wireless technology and IoT to promote interconnectedness in various university campuses. Globally, there is a push toward smart campuses and the consequent need for more engaging, immersive, and interactive learning. Various sound reinforcement equipment, such as microphones and speakers, are becoming an integral part of university campuses.

Sound reinforcement equipment, lighting systems, and the associated pro-AV systems and solutions are the heart and soul of the live music industry globally. Recently, the world has been witnessing a spurt in the growth of live music concerts and events. The primary reason behind this growth is the revenue generation for artists who see live music concerts as a primary source of their income. An increasing corporate sponsorship for music tours, venues, and events also contributes to the sound reinforcement market growth. Further, attendance at such concerts is increasing exponentially as the audience can witness and experience their favorite artists performing on the stage.

The sound reinforcement market growth, especially in the U.S., is expected to be hampered during the forecast period due to the revised auction of spectrum bands by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The industry faces uncertainty over the reallocation of the 600 MHz service band, primarily used by several wireless microphones.

North America held the largest global sound reinforcement market share, accounting for over 34% in revenue. Factors such as the high spending power of the millennials and boomers, growing participation in music festivals, increased adoption of smartphones, inclination toward new technology, and high urbanization are driving the industry growth in North America.

The U.S. is the region’s leading market for sound reinforcement systems and solutions. Millennials majorly drive the market and can be termed a digital generation. They are tech-savvy, and most of them are addicted to their smartphones. Moreover, concert organizers have been working hard to promote the ideology of concerts and live performances among millennials in the U.S. who have been showing little interest in attending concerts. Companies like Live Nation have successfully carried out such promotions to connect millennials to the live performance industry.

The global sound reinforcement market is highly fragmented, with many local and international players. The key market players compete in various rounds, such as introducing new products, technology, and online presence. The growth of vendors in the market also depends on market conditions, technological innovations, and industry development.

Some prominent global sound reinforcement market companies include Audio-Technica, Bose, HARMAN International (Samsung), MUSIC Tribe, Sennheiser, Shure, Sony, and Yamaha. Further, the adoption rate of pro AV solutions, including sound reinforcement systems, among end-users worldwide has been impressive. Due to increased demand, the industry has witnessed the entry of several new vendors. The competition among these companies has intensified, leading to the introduction of many innovative and advanced solutions in the market.
