Two Legends, One Stage: Caifanes + Café Tacvba 2024 Announce A Joint Tour

0

In an unprecedented collaboration, two legendary Mexican bands, Caifanes and Cafe Tacvba, are set to embark on their first-ever joint tour in the United States. This historic musical journey promises fans an unforgettable experience as the two groups come together to celebrate their legacies and showcase the power of Mexican rock on an international stage. Produced by Live Nation, the 20-city tour kicks off on May 29 and will go across the US until June 30.

Both bands originated in the late 80s in Mexico City. Despite their distinct musical styles, this tour is a testament to the enduring power of music, showcasing how these bands have evolved and continue to resonate with audiences across time.

Caifanes have lived their path intensely and passionately since 1986. Evolution and changes have always been, and they will continue to be, part of their history. However, its constants remain: music and the endearing magic that several generations share and have tattooed on their hearts. That connection remains as powerful today as it was in the beginning. For young people, their music is new; for the older generation, those songs are already part of the soundtrack of their lives. The passion and dedication with which they listen and join their voices with the band remain intact and stronger than ever. Caifanes has always been the band that opens the doors to every band coming up behind them. Last two years and 108 concerts have seen the band getting better and bigger than ever, on stage no one rivals their power and strength. Their commitment to social causes has been an essential part of who they are from the start of the band.

Together since 1989 with the same founding members (Quique, Meme, Joselo and Ruben) Grammy winners and Mexico City indie rockers Café Tacvba are frightfully credited as the preeminent band to emerge from the “Rock en Español” movement of the early ‘90s. The Mexican quartet has remained one of the biggest acts on the Latin music scene since, inspiring generations of rockers in their wake. While critics look at these reasons to signify Café Tacvba’s importance, legions of global music followers are enamored with them simply because of their music, which is broadly appealing not only because of its groundbreaking nature, but also because of its fun, madcap and ever-changing.

Amon Amarth Announces Biggest North American Headlining Tour To Date

0

Following their Summer run crisscrossing the continent with their metal comrades in Ghost, Swedish heavy metal icons AMON AMARTH will return to US and Canadian stages this Spring on the Metal Crushes All Tour 2024 produced by Live Nation; the band’s biggest North American tour to date!

Set to commence on April 21st and run through May 25th, the twenty-four-date journey includes a raid at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver as well as arena stops in Portland, Vancouver, Quebec City, Asheville, Tampa, and Anaheim. Support will be provided by special guests Cannibal Corpse along with Obituary and Frozen Soul making for a must-see heavy metal event of the year! See all confirmed dates below.

Comments, AMON AMARTH: “Heed our warning; we are gearing up for our biggest and most epic raid in North American history! We are bringing a massive show that will leave your cities in ashes. Scorching the Earth with us are our good friends Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, and Frozen Soul. Come out to the shows and party like Vikings and raise your horns with us. METAL CRUSHES ALL!”

AMON AMARTH continues to tour in support of their critically adored The Great Heathen Army full-length. Recorded with esteemed studio guru Andy Sneap and released in 2022, the record represents another bold leap forward for the band, as their trademark sound undergoes yet another skillful, evolutionary overhaul, both lyrically and musically. From the noisily rabble-rousing “Find A Way Or Make One” and the pummeling, pugilistic “Get In The Ring” to the cinematic squall of the title track, The Great Heathen Army encapsulates the essence of this legendary band, while still allowing acres of space for new ideas.

Wrote Louder Sound of the offering, “The Great Heathen Army is simultaneously everything that helped AMON AMARTH climb to the top in the first place and a return to the darker, less showy sound of their early days… the band’s innate sense for fist-pumping riffs and colossal hooks remains impossible to deny.” Concurred Blabbermouth, “Both an unapologetic, festival-ready dose of new, gleaming, Viking-populated anthems, and one of the darkest and most brutal albums they have yet made, The Great Heathen Army feels celebratory, too — an extravagant blowout to mark the start of the next invasion.”

Formed in Tumba, Sweden, in 1992, AMON AMARTH has forged an extraordinary legacy over three decades of thunderous, anthemic metal, all rich in the magical imagery of Viking history, folklore and culture. With albums like 2008’s widely acclaimed Twilight Of The Thunder God and 2016’s conceptual triumph Jomsviking, the Swedes have been consistent standard bearers for heavy metal as a life-affirming and communal experience, armed with a seemingly endless stream of instant classic songs.
