BABYMETAL Announces 2024 Tour

Today, Japanese kawaii metal band BABYMETAL announced their fall headline tour across North America, with support from Scene Queen on select dates. Produced by Live Nation, the 15-date tour kicks off on Tuesday, November 5 in Orlando, FL at the Hard Rock Orlando, with additional stops in Charlotte, Madison, New York, Oklahoma City and more before wrapping up on Tuesday, December 3 in Anaheim, CA at the House of Blues.

BABYMETAL recently collaborated with German electronicore band Electric Callboy on a new song titled, “RATATATA,” which was released May 23. The song masterfully fuses the signature styles of both bands, seamlessly blending their worlds and pushing the music to exhilarating new limits. The song was an immediate international hit, racking up over 5 million streams on Spotify in the first week. The music video amassed over 7 million views to date and was Trending on YouTube in over a dozen countries.

In April 2016, BABYMETAL became the first Japanese artists to ever headline at the prestigious Wembley Arena in the UK. In June 2019, they performed at one of the world’s largest music festivals, Glastonbury Festival, and their appearance at this festival made headlines around the world. That same year in September, BABYMETAL embarked on their METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR. On October 11th, 2019 BABYMETAL had a worldwide release of their 3rd album METAL GALAXY and on that same day, they had their first U.S. headlining arena show at The Forum in Los Angeles, California. In 2021, over a four month period from January to April, they accomplished a total of 10 headline performances at the Nippon Budokan called 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN. After a 2-year hiatus from live performances, BABYMETAL were unsealed for BABYMETAL RETURNS – THE OTHER ONE – where they performed at Makuhari Messe.

Riding the success of last year’s concept album “THE OTHER ONE”, Dance Metal sensation BABYMETAL hosted the first edition of their very own festival FOX_FEST last month, featuring exclusive appearances by ELECTRIC CALLBOY, POLYPHIA and BILMURI. The concert features a phenomenal setlist, including “Sugar Rush Ride”, the lead single of The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION,  and “Deja Vu”, the lead single of minisode 3: TOMORROW, with TOMORROW X TOGETHER taking the audience on a thrilling journey through different worlds. CBC Music Live At Massey Hall Presents: Celebrating Gordon Lightfoot, July 1 On CBC Gem And CBC Radio

To honour the iconic Canadian musician’s legacy, CBC and Massey Hall, in collaboration with the Gordon Lightfoot Estate, present CELEBRATING GORDON LIGHTFOOT, broadcasting nationwide on Canada Day, July 1 at 12 p.m. (12:30 NT) on CBC Radio One and CBC Listen, 4 p.m. (4:30 NT) on CBC Music and CBC Listen, and available to stream as of 9 a.m. ET on CBC Gem in Canada and worldwide on CBC Music’s YouTube channel. Recorded live from Massey Hall’s Allan Slaight Stage in Toronto this spring, the special features a memorable night of music with Blue Rodeo and The Gordon Lightfoot Band as the house bands, welcoming some of Canada’s brightest talent to join them on stage to celebrate the late Gordon Lightfoot’s work, including: Allison Russell, Aysanabee, Burton Cummings, Caroline Wiles and Bob Doidge, City and Colour, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, The Good Brothers, Julian Taylor, Kathleen Edwards, Meredith Moon, Murray McLauchlan, Serena Ryder, Sylvia Tyson, Tom Cochrane, Tom Wilson and William Prince. 

Lightfoot had many connections to the venue, having performed on the Massey Hall stage over 170 times – more than any other artist in the Hall’s 130-year history. Lightfoot was the last artist to perform before Massey Hall closed for renovations in 2018 and the first to appear after the re-opening in 2021. Following his death on May 1, 2023, Massey Hall opened its doors to allow fans to offer condolences and lovingly remember the legendary artist.

Also airing on July 1, the annual evening celebration CANADA DAY: FEEL THE RHYTHM will begin at 8 p.m. local time (9 AT, 9:30 NT) on CBC TV and CBC Gem hosted by Isabelle Racicot and feature performances by Chromeo, Corneille, FouKi, Kanen, Kiesza, Maestro Fresh Wes, Metric, Neon Dreams, Qattuu, Sara Dufour and Willows.
