Barry Manilow Lands Adult Contemporary Top 10 Hit With “Once Before I Go” And Sets Another Record

0

Pop legend Barry Manilow returns to the Top 10 of the Adult Contemporary chart with his new single “Once Before I Go,” extending his remarkable chart run into a sixth decade. The milestone traces back to 1974 when Manilow first broke through with the classic “Mandy,” launching a career that now spans the 1970s through the 2020s.

Across more than 50 years, Manilow has remained a constant presence on the Adult Contemporary chart, connecting with audiences through timeless melodies and emotionally driven songwriting. The new Top 10 placement reinforces one of the most enduring careers in popular music.

From beloved classics like “Copacabana (At the Copa),” “Can’t Smile Without You,” “Looks Like We Made It,” and “I Write the Songs,” to today’s “Once Before I Go,” Manilow’s catalog continues to resonate across generations. His body of work includes more than 85 million albums sold worldwide and 52 Top 40 hits, including 13 No. 1 singles and 29 Top 10 entries.

Produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Demonte Posey and written by Peter Allen and Dean Pitchford, “Once Before I Go” unfolds as a lush ballad reflecting on love, legacy, and farewell. The official music video, directed by Jamie Thraves and filmed at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, follows a performer who sacrifices a traditional family life in pursuit of his dream.

The chart milestone arrives during another major year for Manilow. He continues performing his celebrated Las Vegas residency while bringing his live show to arenas across the United States. Next month, the American Advertising Federation will present him with the President’s Award at the Advertising Hall of Fame induction ceremony, honoring his influential work composing and performing iconic advertising jingles for brands including State Farm, Band-Aid, KFC, Pepsi, and McDonald’s.

Japanese Rock Giants ONE OK ROCK Bring ‘DETOX’ Stadium Show To Cinemas Worldwide

0

Japanese rock powerhouse ONE OK ROCK bring their massive live show to the big screen with the concert film ‘ONE OK ROCK: DETOX In Cinemas.’ Created in partnership with CJ 4DPLEX, the film premieres in Japan on April 17 before rolling out worldwide beginning April 22, with the U.S. and Mexico release arriving April 30.

The film captures the band’s career-defining hometown performance at Nissan Stadium, where 70,000 fans packed the venue during the DETOX World Tour. The global run sold more than 190,000 tickets across North America, Europe, and Japan, marking one of the band’s most ambitious touring cycles to date.

Audiences will experience the show through CJ 4DPLEX’s immersive SCREENX and 4DX formats, delivering panoramic visuals and dynamic sound that place viewers directly inside the stadium performance. The presentation expands beyond a traditional concert film, surrounding the audience with the scale and energy of ONE OK ROCK’s stadium production.

The release also arrives one year after the band’s 11th studio album ‘DETOX.’ The record introduced a new sonic chapter for the group, highlighted by explosive live staples including “Delusion:All,” “Dystopia,” and the breakout single “Tropical Therapy,” which helped push the album’s global impact.

Emerging Pop Artist Dace Silina Debuts English Single “Love Sound”

0

Music has been central to Silina’s life since childhood, when singing first became her creative outlet. Over time she developed a unique vocal style shaped by formal training and natural musical instincts, creating original material that blends polished pop structure with personal storytelling.

The writing process for “Love Sound” began in January 2025 when Silina first crafted the lyrics before shaping the melody that followed. Working alongside producer Gints Stankevics, she transformed the idea into a fully realized recording built around authentic instrumentation and organic production choices.

“Creating this song was a very special and emotional experience for me,” Silina says. “Everything came naturally, and now I feel so happy and fulfilled to share it with the world.” Drawing inspiration from artists such as Dua Lipa, Tate McRae, Rihanna, and Ariana Grande, “Love Sound” introduces Silina as a promising new voice in contemporary pop.

Butcher Babies Release Emotional New Single “Lost In Your Touch”

0

Las Vegas metal band Butcher Babies return with their powerful new single “Lost In Your Touch,” produced by Howard Benson. The track marks the second release from their forthcoming album on Judge & Jury Records and blends emotional vulnerability with the crushing intensity that defines the band’s sound.

The song arrives as a deeply personal chapter for vocalist Heidi Shepherd, whose lyrics reflect on love, heartbreak, and the long road to self-discovery. The album itself functions as a reflective look back at the experiences and relationships that have shaped her over the past 25 years, turning those memories into a record rooted in growth and strength.

“Ten years ago, I watched the love of my life fall in love with someone else,” Shepherd shares. “I watched him fill my shoes with another girl’s touch. She slowly took my place in the late-night phone calls and early morning coffee. He replaced ‘us’ with her name on his lips.” The raw emotion continues throughout the track, capturing the pain of watching a love story fade while confronting the memories left behind.

Producer Howard Benson connected immediately with the honesty in the lyrics. “I gravitated to this song immediately because of the vulnerability of the lyrics,” Benson says. “If I can get lyrics like this that I know the vocalist will deliver, like Heidi delivers the emotions in this song, that’s critical to the track connecting.” The result is a hard-hitting yet emotionally charged single that stands as one of the band’s most personal releases to date.

38 Special Celebrate 50 Years With “So Much So Right” From ‘Milestone’

0

Southern rock legends 38 Special share the official video for their new single “So Much So Right,” featured on ‘Milestone,’ the band’s first album in 20 years. The track captures the rush of a new romance while the video gives fans a front row view of the band’s recent live shows as they enter their sixth decade together.

Frontman Don Barnes says the song reflects the emotional honesty that has defined the band’s catalog for decades. “38 Special songs have always been about the genuine emotions experienced by everyone,” Barnes explains. “They all have an element of truth in them that I think appeals on a universal level and proves why they have lasted through the years. ‘So Much So Right’ is unique. Every person remembers that heat of passion when they first met someone new and shared intimacy so strong that it could hardly be contained.”

The visual was built from backstage clips and concert footage captured by filmmaker Nick Spanos. “Nick Spanos was shooting behind-the-scenes scraps of video as well as concert footage,” Barnes adds. “He took some risks in editing, kept it gritty like the song conveys, and with the final tinted, grainy look he succeeded in portraying what real rock ’n’ roll should feel like.”

‘Milestone’ celebrates the band’s 50th anniversary and marks their first album in two decades. The record includes collaborations with Pat Monahan of Train, Randy Bachman of Bachman Turner-Overdrive and The Guess Who, and longtime collaborator Jim Peterik. The album debuted in the Top 10 of both the Rock and Independent Album charts and broke into the Top 30 of Billboard’s Current and Overall Album Sales charts.

Rosie Carney Unleashes Shoegaze-Driven Album ‘Doomsday… Don’t Leave Me Here’

0

Irish singer-songwriter Rosie Carney returns with her fourth studio album, ‘Doomsday… Don’t Leave Me Here,’ out now via Ultra Records. The record marks a bold shift for the Hampshire-born, Ireland-based artist, expanding her intimate songwriting into a layered sonic landscape shaped by shoegaze, alt-pop, and electronic textures.

Carney co-wrote and co-produced the album with Ross MacDonald of The 1975 and producer Ed Thomas, with mixing by Jonathan Gilmore. The project builds on the foundations of her earlier releases including ‘Bare’ (2019), her full-length reinterpretation of Radiohead’s ‘The Bends’ (2020), and the rock-leaning ‘i wanna feel happy’ (2022). Across months of sessions in London, the collaborators constructed a vivid sound world that frames themes of nostalgia, grief, existential dread, and complicated love.

“Although the songs are essentially bigger and louder, they feel almost more personal and more intimate than anything I’ve created before,” Carney says. “The bigger sound worked as a shield while I was writing. It felt safer to dig deep and explore themes of grief, heartache and isolation. This album is like a body of armour, and the softness lives protected within it.”

The focus track “Down” arrives alongside previously released singles “Sixteen,” “The Evidence,” “In My Blue,” “Fragile Fantasy,” and “Here,” each offering a glimpse into the album’s evolving sonic palette. Together, the songs form a powerful new chapter for Carney, capturing a dreamlike atmosphere where beauty and unease exist side by side.

Tracklist:

  1. Everything Is Wrong
  2. Here
  3. In My Blue
  4. Fragile Fantasy
  5. Hope Like Hell
  6. The Evidence
  7. Down
  8. Sixteen
  9. Love So Blind
  10. Tethered

It’s about going on a journey – letting loose, relaxing, discovering new artists, creating memories, making new friends, and forgetting about the outside world for a while. I truly believe this year’s lineup does exactly that. It’s an exciting mix of artists at the top of their game and fresh voices who are just beginning to break through. It’s current and future household names. It’s both past and future Juno/Grammy winners. It’s a group of performers we should all be proud to host at Mariposa Folk Festival this Summer”.
