The album’s title track opens the project with a reflective meditation on resilience and renewal.

Beyond the stage, McLachlan continues her philanthropic work through the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, which provides free music education to underserved youth in Canada. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), the creator-first, future-forward PRO, announces that it has launched a new virtual care offering as part of its ASCAP Wellness Program, which includes a broad range of health and well-being benefits provided exclusively to its members. Through a collaboration with MD Live by Evernorth, a leading provider of virtual health care services in the U.S., ASCAP members and their eligible dependents can engage in virtual visits with board-certified MD Live clinicians for mental health, dermatology, or 24/7 urgent care—all at discounted pricing.

“We know that health and wellness are foundational to creative work and longevity in our industry, but many music creators struggle to access and afford health insurance,” said ASCAP Chief Strategy and Digital Officer Nick Lehman. “That is why it’s important for us to launch this service for our members, providing easy access to high-quality care at very reasonable costs – regardless if they have insurance or not.  As the only truly creator-first PRO in the US, our commitment to our members is to support them with the resources they need to be at their creative best.”

MD Live has a national network of board-certified doctors, pediatricians, dermatologists, psychiatrists and therapists who provide personalized care for medical and mental health needs. ASCAP members can sign up for access to MD Live virtual care services through the ASCAP Member Access portal.

“Virtual care is a huge benefit for people with busy lives who want to stay on top of their health,” said Vontrelle Roundtree, MD, MPT, Associate Chief Medical Officer, MD Live. “By connecting with doctors via phone or video calls, we can empower ASCAP members to take control of their health without sacrificing convenience.”

Virtual care is just one part of a broader suite of benefits within the ASCAP Wellness Program, which was developed to help nourish body, mind and spirit for ASCAP music creators. Members have special access to ASCAP community events, original editorial focused on the wellness needs of creators, and discounted services supporting mental health, mindfulness, and exercise. ASCAP also provides additional member benefits including deals on online music education, music software, hotels, marketing services and CD and vinyl printing.

Founded and governed by songwriters, composers and publishers, it returns nearly 90 cents of every dollar collected to its members as royalties and has the lowest overhead rate of any U.S. PRO.  In 2025, ASCAP reported record-high financial results of $1.945 billion in revenues and $1.759 billion available in royalty distribution monies to its members. Over the last ten years, ASCAP has delivered a 6.7% compound annual growth rate for total revenues, and an 7.3% compound annual growth rate for total royalty distributions to members. ASCAP collects the licensing fees, and identifies, matches, processes and pays royalties to its members for trillions of performances every year. The ASCAP blanket license offers an efficient solution for businesses to legally perform ASCAP music while respecting the right of songwriters and composers to be paid fairly. Jimmy Eat World Launch Massive ‘Bleed American’ 25th Anniversary Tour

0

Today, Arizona rock icons Jimmy Eat World will kick off the celebration for the 25th anniversary of their seminal album Bleed American in a big way — with a massive Live Nation promoted tour that starts June 9 in Denver, CO, at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre and ends in November at Vans Warped Tour in Orlando, FL.

The extensive trek marks Jimmy Eat World’s triumphant return to the Vans Warped Tour stage, in all five cities, after a 25-year absence and a trio of previously announced U.K. shows, with sold-out dates on Aug. 14 at The Piece Hall in Halifax and Aug. 15 at Cardiff Castle in Wales, followed by the biggest U.K. show in the band’s history on Aug. 16 at London’s Gunnersbury Park.

As they prepare for tour, the band members are approaching songs from the album with a perspective they lacked in the blur of 2001: intentional gratitude. For drummer Zach Lind, this tour feels like a second chance to show appreciation to the fans who provided their livelihood for the past 25 years. Lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkinsechoes this sentiment: “I feel like at this time in our lives, especially for me, it’s important to get back to a place that you can savor. This tour is designed to be an elevated version of our show, a heightened experience with production that reflects 25 years of learning how to stretch artistically in the live environment.” Fans can expect to hear the entirety of Bleed American, along with much more they’ll have to wait to see and hear!

Along the tour, Jimmy Eat World will be joined by very special guests (on select dates): Rise Against, Hot Mulligan, Sunny Day Real Estate, Thrice, Motion City Soundtrack, Mom Jeans, Minus the Bear, The Get Up Kids, PUP, Sparta, Hey Mercedes, Girls Against Boys, Illuminati Hotties, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, and Jay Som.

Originally released July 24, 2001 via DreamWorks Records, Bleed American stands as a landmark album that helped push alternative rock into the mainstream, cementing Jimmy Eat World as pioneering artists of the 2000s music scene. The album has been certified platinum in the U.S. and gold in the U.K., with the essential single “The Middle” recently joining the Spotify Billion Streams Club. The record was not only a commercial breakthrough, but also a creative touchstone for a new wave of bands, with artists including Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, and The Wonder Years citing the album as a major influence.

Adkins says: “When we printed the last mix of Bleed American, we felt like we had achieved something great for ourselves. There was no barometer of how it would connect with people outside of the studio, and we are still in awe with the life the record and songs have had since their original release. Bleed American is as much yours as it is ours, so we want to celebrate it with you all in a very special way.”

For the North America dates, tickets are available starting with an artist, CITI, and American Express presale (more details below) beginning Wednesday, February 11. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale on Friday, February 13 at 10 a.m. local time.

Jupie Launches New Era With Reflective Single “Crotona”

0

Baltimore-based indie rock artist Jupie, the project of Julius Unger Bowditch, returns with “Crotona,” a new single that signals the start of his 2026 chapter. The track marks his first collaboration with London-based producer Robbie Wyness following the release of ‘Brick Hill’ in 2023. Written between Baltimore and London, “Crotona” introduces a fuller, expanded sound while maintaining the emotional directness that defines Jupie’s work.

Originally drafted nine years ago while Bowditch was living on Crotona Avenue in the Bronx, the song has since been reshaped into a meditation on endurance and emotional strain. “Crotona is a song about the experience of holding on, pulling towards something until it is no longer the thing you were trying to save,” Bowditch explains. Stark imagery of snow, wind, and empty streets underscores lyrics that wrestle with fragile connections, ultimately centering on survival and the quiet act of telling yourself you’re okay when everything feels uncertain.

Michael Robert Murphy Shares “Corkscrew” Ahead Of ‘Chaos Magick’ Deluxe And UK Dates

0

Time passes and nobody remains an island, circumstances true to Michael Robert Murphy, Liverpool’s pre-eminent psych priest, who releases his latest single, Corkscrew, as the latest, lo-fi diary entry of his awakening to loss, human connection and survival. Drawn from the upcoming deluxe reissue of his celebrated 2025 album, Chaos Magick, the delicate, string-embellished folk meditation on resilience arrives on the eve of three live dates, taking in Glasgow and London before a Merseyside homecoming on Fri 27 February 2026.

Having enjoyed the cult-success that was afforded his influential band, The Wicked Whispers, prior to their amicable disbandment in 2018, Murphy has since channelled his own poetry and purpose into a run of sell out solo albums. His latest, Chaos Magick, released in summer 2025, found the songwriter stripping back his sound, mixing lo-fi analogue methods of recording with progressive modern technique.

Recorded amidst the natural wonders and untamed climate of the Wirral, supported by producer, Liam Power (By The Sea), Murphy’s self-originated and performed arrangements were embellished with contributions from Echo and The Bunnymen’s Will Sergeant and both Ian Skelly and Paul Molloy of The Coral.

A late runner but never in danger of being lost, Corkscrew is a previously unheard and unreleased gem from the album sessions which now joins a further three tracks (including In A Dream That Holds The Key from Murphy’s hugely successful 2025 Radio X session) completing the Chaos Magick Deluxe Edition. Accompanied by a video shot by Dan Hewitson (Brooke Combe, Jamie Webster), Corkscrew’s story is illustrated using scenes from Liverpool’s Anglian Cathedral, the historic manor, Sudely House and an abandoned railway line that cuts through Murphy’s home city.

Murphy says: “No song gets left behind but, while we were reflecting on the album running order, pushing ‘Corkscrew’ into contention would have changed the balanced vibe and pace of ‘Chaos Magick’. But this enriched version of the song feels really special, it lives as an important companion to the album. It’s me singing to anyone that I have seen going through a tough time. The music is there for a friend if a sympathetic ear is ever needed.”

Chaos Magick gave up a run of similarly reflective, carefully constructed singles last year, including Lift The CursePrometheus FountainWhispers On The Wind and Cyclone. Those tracks, alongside previous sell-out releases, including songs from 2020’s Metamorph EP and the James Skelly-produced Puzzles/Holding On AA-side single, are in contention for set-list addition for the following confirmed Michael Robert Murphy shows:

  • Sun 22 Feb – Glasgow, McChuills
  • Thu 26 Feb – London, The Stags Head
  • Fri 27 Feb – Liverpool, ARC:HIVE

The Black Crowes Announce UK And European Tour Ahead Of ‘A Pound Of Feathers’

0

Today, genre-defying rock legends The Black Crowes announce a UK + European June tour. This tour will be the first time the band return to the UK since their Eventim Apollo performance in 2024 where they were joined on stage by long time friend and fellow rock icon Steven Tyler as Jimmy Page looked on from the side of stage. The run will include a performance at State Fayre Festival alongside Kings of Leon and Elvis Costello on Friday June 26th.

From thunderous drums, blistering guitar work, and lyrics that don’t flinch, fans can expect a roaring setlist stacked with classics, deep cuts, and the kind of onstage band chemistry and electrifying stage presence that can’t be replicated.

Career-defining anthems to crowd-roaring singalongs, every night promises to be a full-throttle reminder that rock-n-roll is alive and well and best served up loud, outrageous and a little dangerous.

Tickets for the UK + European tour go on pre-sale for members of the Crowe Mafia Fan Club on Tuesday February 10th at 10 AM local time. Tickets go on general sale on Friday February 13th at 10 AM local time from here.

Fresh off a career-spanning resurgence that included a 2025 GRAMMY nod for Best Rock Album for Happiness Bastardswhich was described by MOJO as “a thrilling return, oozingsass and swagger” and Uncut as “lively and assured”, last year also saw their first nomination into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Black Crowes will return with the release of their unfiltered, heart-pounding new album, A Pound of Feathers, March 13th, before hitting the road, where they’ll continue to deliver the same lawless and swaggering sound that made them one of the most explosive live acts of our generation.

A Pound of Feathers marks a bold creative evolution — marrying the rugged swagger of their early classics with fresh perspectives and dynamic, hard-hitting rhythmic textures. Recorded in Nashville with GRAMMY-winning producer Jay Joyce and curated with visionary energy and deep musical empathy, the record showcases a fearless band operating at the height of their powers.

Singles ‘Profane Prophecy’, ‘Pharmacy Chronicles’ + ‘It’s Like That’ are out now.

“Profane Prophecy” was labelled by Louder Sound as a “gorgeously juicy whale of a rock’n’roller – all strutting Stones-y sass and sumptuous Americana. Full of soul but light on its feet and more than ready to party”

The excellent Russ Meyer-inspired video for ‘Profane Prophecy’ directed by Dagger Polyester whom Chris Robinson discovered in LA’s underground music scene is also out now.

UK + European tour dates:

  • June 25 – Albert Hall, Manchester UK
  • June 26 – State Fayre Festival, Chelmsford, UK
  • June 28 – OLT Rivierenhof, Antwerp, BE
  • June 30 – 013, Tilburg, NL
  • July 1 – 013, Tilburg, NL
  • July 4 – Halle 622, Zurich, CH
  • July 5 – Ehrenhof Residenzschloss, Rastatt, DE

Founded by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, The Black Crowes make music for the mavericks, playing rock ‘n’ roll that’s hip-swinging and heavy, dirty and debonaire, bluesy and ballsy, ecstatic and electrifying, and soulful and soaring. They don’t fall in line, and they never cared to either. Instead, they’re right at home with the outsiders, the drifters, the lost souls, the hustlers, and the hellraisers who inhabit timeless tunes like “She Talks To Angels,” “Hard To Handle,” “Wiser Time,” “Twice As Hard,” and “Black Moon Creeping.” No matter where culture went, the multiplatinum GRAMMY Award-nominated group fearlessly charted their own course, taking flight with the 5x-Platinum Shake Your Money Maker and never coming back down. Their path twisted and turned from seminal records a la the 2x-Platinum Billboard 200 #1 LP The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion and Gold-certified follow-up Amorica to a once-in-a-lifetime jaunt with Jimmy Page and accompanying Gold-certified live record: Live at the Greek. The band’s lore expanded with the chart-shaking Warpaint and Before the Frost…Until the Freeze. Another generation fell under their spell as they launched their biggest headline tour yet to celebrate Shake Your Money Maker’s 30th birthday. They lit up the next chapter with 2024’s Happiness Bastards—which garnered a GRAMMY Award nod for Best Rock Album. Between widespread critical praise, they even picked up a 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination. Rather than rest on their laurels, Chris and Rich wrote and recorded their tenth full-length offering, A Pound of Feathers, in ten days. It’s the sound of uncompromising, urgent, and undeniable rock ‘n’ roll. It’s the sound of unrepentant creative spirits in harmony. It’s the sound of The Black Crowes.

Hiss Golden Messenger Returns With ‘I’m People’ And Expansive U.S. Tour

0

Hiss Golden Messenger, the North Carolina-based project led by MC Taylor, has announced a new album, ‘I’m People,’ arriving May 1 via Chrysalis Records. The record’s lead single, “In The Middle Of It,” is out now alongside a lyric video. Written across New Mexico, California, and North Carolina, the album follows 2023’s ‘Jump For Joy’ and presents a direct, deeply human collection of songs rooted in lived experience.

“The songs on I’m People are about running towards and away from things,” Taylor shares, describing themes that stretch from family and aging to solitude, heartbreak, devotion, and renewal. He calls “In The Middle Of It” a “Santa Fe song,” written at El Rey Court and shaped by desert highways, long drives, and late-night radio. The imagery of open landscapes and interior reflection runs throughout the record.

‘I’m People’ was co-produced by Taylor and Josh Kaufman, engineered by Chris Boerner and Gillian Pelkonen, and mixed and mastered by D. James Goodwin. My Precious Bunny Announces ‘A Moment In My Eyes’ And Shares “I Go Up, You Go Down”

0

My Precious Bunny, the solo project of Lily Wolter from Penelope Isles, has announced her debut album ‘A Moment In My Eyes,’ arriving May 22 via Bella Union. Alongside the announcement, she shares the first single, “I Go Up, You Go Down,” a reflective and emotionally direct track that introduces the album’s tone. Stepping out on her own, Wolter leans into a sound that feels expansive yet intimate, rooted in memory and movement.

“In the peak of lockdown at my parents’ house, ‘I Go Up, You Go Down’ was an observation of everything that was happening around me at the time,” Wolter explains. Written during a period of personal upheaval, the song captures the disorienting shift from closeness to distance in a long-term relationship. She adds that working with Paul Gregory helped define the track’s final shape, praising how he handled its dynamics with care while elevating its energy.

The album was co-produced with Allister Kellaway, Wolter’s childhood friend and longtime creative influence. Recorded with musicians from Brighton’s close-knit scene, ‘A Moment In My Eyes’ blends analogue synth textures, saxophone flourishes, restless guitars, and layered choral elements. The result is a collection that moves between confessional songwriting and widescreen arrangements, shaped by Wolter’s upbringing on the Isle of Man and later time spent in Cornwall.

Wolter began the My Precious Bunny project as a teenager under the name KookieLou, long before forming Penelope Isles with her brother. The material that became this debut album took shape during lockdown, written while living back at her parents’ home in Penzance. Reflecting on the process, she describes it as cathartic and formative, eventually leading her to record the songs properly with Kellaway when the time felt right.

My Precious Bunny will support the release with a run of UK live dates, including shows in Brighton and London and appearances around The Great Escape.

With a sound that blends the grit of alternative pop with the intimacy of bedroom songwriting, Bella has quickly struck a chord with millions thanks to such tracks as “The Sick,” which proved a viral phenomenon earning over 100M views on TikTok with hundreds of thousands of fan-made videos since release. A biting, charismatic collection that captures a gifted young artist coming into her own in life, love, and sound, Bella’s debut EP, sick to my stomach, sees “The Sick” joined by such future fan favorites as the bold breakup anthem, “Call Me Baby.” Bella marked the arrival of sick to my stomachwith a number of showstopping live dates, including a debut North American tour supporting Mon Rovîa that saw sold-out stops in New York, Toronto, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. “iloveitiloveitiloveit” – and more new music to come – now sees Bella Kay pushing her unfiltered songcraft to the next level, unafraid to showcase her sharp wit, magnetic personality, and altogether unique pop vision.
