GG Magree Unleashes Ferocious New Single “Bleed” Blending Industrial Rock and EDM

0

Australian DJ/producer/vocalist GG Magree today dropped “Bleed,” an industrial rock banger with thumping bass and Magree’s seductive vocals today along with a provocative video highlighting her penchant for a little blood and gore.

“‘Bleed” is what happens when love goes feral,” says Magree. “When you stop knowing the difference between wanting to f*ck someone or kill them, because, to be honest, you don’t know which one would feel better.”

Magree, who has performed on the stages of Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Ultra Music Festival and collaborated with artists like Zeds Dead, DJ Snake, and NGHTMRE, has built a rabid following in the world of EDM, but “Bleed” sees her extending her electronic roots into the rock and metal worlds through an industrial sound.

“The sound of rock, metal, and electronic music have always been in my veins, and I feel like for so long I was asked, ‘what box do you fit in?’ and I never understood, because why does there need to be a tight musical box? I just want to do me, and what you’re hearing is me. She’s hard, she’s sexual, she’s emotional, she’s broken, she’s wild, she’s strong – but most of all, she is me.”

Felicity Unveils New Single “I’ll Have What He’s Having” Ahead of Forthcoming EP ‘4PM In The Morning’

0

Perth born, Nashville based artist Felicity returns with her new single “I’ll Have What He’s Having” – a deceptively vibrant love song wrapped in self-deprecating humor and existential truth. It begins like a classic tale of romantic infatuation, only to reveal its true subject: Felicity herself. With glittering synths, lush live instrumentation, and one of her most pop-leaning productions to date, the track evolves from longing through someone else’s lens into a deeper exploration of self-image, self-worth, and the exhausting pursuit of perfection.

“It’s about wanting to see yourself the way someone who loves you does,” Felicity shares. “Because whatever I’m seeing? It’s not the same – and I’d much rather have what he’s having.”

Alongside the single, Felicity shares news of her forthcoming sophomore EP 4PM In The Morning, out now. The title – pulled from a lyric in her earlier single “Half Sad”, which earned placements on Spotify’s NMF AU&NZ, Pop N’ Fresh and AU&NZ Equal, as well as Apple Music’s Jazz Soul Cafe, New In Alternative, and New In Pop – captures the emotional jet lag of early adulthood: those in-between hours when nothing makes sense and everything feels a little too loud.

Praised by tastemakers for her larger-than-life vocals, hyper-personal lyrics and emotional intensity, Felicity is fast emerging as a distinctive voice in alt-pop. Described as a love letter to inner chaos, 4PM In The Morning leans into contradiction – humor and heartbreak, self-loathing and self-discovery – wrapped in bold, cinematic production. If “I’ll Have What He’s Having” is any indication, 4PM In The Morning promises to be both wildly relatable and unmistakably Felicity.

Sylo Releases Bold New Single “Carve Me Out” Marking Sonic Shift After Breakthrough Year

0

Alt-R&B pace-maker Sylo today releases “Carve Me Out,” the first new single since his Tiny Desk Concert at the end of last year. Flirting with edgier, more electronic-leaning production that heralds the end of his sensitive era, Sylo shows how ever-evolving he is with his newfound freedom. Even with his new experimentation with an upbeat, abrasive sound, his voice is as smooth as ever.

Sylo shared, “I spent the last four years with this person in the same city I was born in. I knew that for there to be real change in my life, I had to literally move to another country not just for her, but to move on from the old patterns, habits and behaviors that dictated so much of who I was. This song is that last piece to commemorate that.”

Spending the post-breakup months living untethered in Mexico City, Sylo has had the chance to experience a new reality for himself while putting his past to bed. He now emerges ready to push the sonic envelope for his own sake and see where this reckless abandon lands him.

Where we now see Sylo forward-looking and charting out his future, last year was anchored in linking his childhood to who he is in the present with the release of Dreamt that I Was. He then toured the project across North America and Asia, with a quick stop in London as well.

At the end of October, Sylo’s Tiny Desk Concert for NPR was released, bringing him into an orbit he never before thought he’d reach. Additionally, his track “Babyboo” with sonic-globetrotter Nonso Amadi was featured in an ad campaign for SoundCloud x Hyundai. The campaign highlighted how everyone is on a journey in life, and that journey shapes who you are and what you create; a perfect tie into the music Sylo creates.

King Falcon Share Energetic Music Video for Breakout Single “Plastic Crown”

0

With the support for the release of the band’s latest single “Plastic Crown” garnering attention at radio and streaming services, New York rockers King Falcon is releasing the accompanying music video for the song. “Plastic Crown” is the latest offering from the quartet comprised of Michael Rubin [vocals, lead guitar], Joe Conserva [bass], Sergio Ripa [guitar], and Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty [drums]. The music video showcases the band’s fun and energetic live performance as the animated world around them keeps changing.

“Plastic Crown” was released to the world on June 11th and has been making waves at radio with stations already adding the band’s track. The song has also found support on numerous digital service providers with playlist support by Spotify (Spotify Just Rock!), Apple Music (Apple Music Breaking Rock) Amazon (Amazon Music Breakthrough Rock) and Deezer (Deezer Soundcheck).

“‘Plastic Crown’ is about a close relationship that falls apart and you realize how toxic of a situation it was. You don’t realize how much better life is until they are out of it. The song came together quick in the studio when the band added their personal touches to the original idea, and you can hear the final result. It is the first song we are releasing with this lineup, and we couldn’t be more excited for people to check it out,” explained Rubin when the song released.

Hollywood Undead Unleash Dark New Single “SAVIOR,” Showcasing Their Most Vulnerable Sound Yet

0

Hollywood Undead return with their most emotionally raw offering yet. Titled “SAVIOR”, the track is out now via Sumerian Records and showcases a darker, more vulnerable side of the band-one that trades swagger for soul-searching and resilience.

Built on a gargantuan guitar riff, a haunting vocal hook, and lyrics soaked in regret and revelation, “SAVIOR” explores the psychological wreckage of trauma, fame, and fractured identity. “You say that I’m your savior, but there’s no saving me,” the chorus confesses. True to form, Hollywood Undead deliver a track that is brutally honest, anthemic, and still undeniably catchy.

Speaking on the new release, Hollywood Undead share, “We’re all excited to follow up “Hollywood Forever” with our newest track “SAVIOR.” This song is special to us so we can’t wait for the Undead Army and beyond to hear it.”

“SAVIOR” lands in the midst of what is shaping up to be an explosive year for Hollywood Undead. Their 2024 single “Hollywood Forever” – their first with new label home, Sumerian Records – not only reintroduced their iconic masks to a new generation, to date it has racked up over 20.3 million cross-platform streams, peaked at #18 at Active Rock radio, held strong in the Top 20, and inspired a remix hailed as a “genre-killer” collaboration between some of LA’s fiercest underground voices.

Most recently, the band wrapped the spring 2025 leg of the Hollywood & N9ne co-headline tour with Tech N9ne, performing to thousands across the U.S. and Canada, and played incendiary mainstage slots at Sonic Temple, Welcome To Rockville, Louder Than Life, and are set to play Aftershock festival this fall. They will be joining Falling In Reverse on their ‘God Is A Weapon’ tour this August/September.

Annie Lennox Announces First-Ever Official Visual Memoir ‘Annie Lennox: Retrospective’ Featuring Over 200 Iconic Images

0

A long-awaited visual memoir from Annie Lennox, a legend of popular music and culture. This is the award-winning artist’s first and only official book—destined to be the must-have title for music lovers and will command attention from the fashion and photography worlds.

Over a career spanning almost half a century, Annie Lennox has established herself as one of the true superstars of pop music and an icon of popular culture. With Dave Stewart as Eurythmics, and later as a solo artist, she is responsible for some of the best-selling records of all time, as well as some of the most memorable imagery created around music. Always recognized for her unique approach to style and performance—she has been described as “the singer whose powerful, androgynous look defied the male gaze.”

Lennox has been filmed and photographed by all the great image-makers of our time, from Richard Avedon and Paolo Roversi to Bettina Rheims and Ellen von Unwerth. With Polaroids from her personal archives alongside iconic portraits, music video stills, and record covers, Annie Lennox: Retrospective collates more than two hundred images to create an illustrated memoir of a creative’s life, both in and out of the spotlight.

Made in close collaboration with the artist, this highly anticipated volume moves chronologically through the entirety of Lennox’s life and career—from the early 1970s when she first met Dave Stewart following through with Eurythmics in the 80s, and then as a solo artist starting in the 90s and onwards. Extracts of her lyrics accompany the photographs throughout. Engrossing captions and personal anecdotes shine light on periods of her life, to tell the stories behind the pictures.

At once intimate, revelatory, and celebratory, this is a beautiful and compelling document of the woman behind one of the strongest voices in music.

Tom Piazza’s New Book ‘Living in the Present with John Prine’ Offers Intimate Portrait of Late Songwriting Legend

0

Living in the Present with John Prine captures the legendary songwriter’s warmth, wit, and wisdom through the lens of an unexpected friendship with author Tom Piazza. Originally sparked by a 2018 road trip, the book evolved into a moving tribute after Prine’s passing. It’s an unforgettable, personal glimpse at a true American original in his final chapter.

In the spring of that year, Tom Piazza climbed into a 1977 Coupe de Ville with the great singer-songwriter John Prine to write an article for the Oxford American. Their Florida road trip ignited a deep friendship, full of tall tales over epic meals, long nights playing guitar and trading songs, and visits back and forth between their homes in Nashville and New Orleans. Along the way, Prine invited Piazza to work with him on a memoir, with John telling sprawling, often hilarious stories of his youth and family in Chicago and Kentucky, his breakthrough into the national spotlight, his riotous early years in the Nashville country scene, and much more. When Prine died suddenly of COVID in April 2020, that unfinished memoir evolved into an intimate and very personal narrative of the artist’s final years. In it, Piazza offers fans an unforgettable portrait of the beloved musician in his late glory—as a boyish cut-up, an epic raconteur, a great American poet, and, most important, a beloved friend.
